  1. All I remember is being dissapointed with the Batman/Superman showdown...
  2. Ferris Beullers Day Off - 8/10 A good, fun movie. I'm not sure what else to say, really, except I wish I could hatch complex schemes.
  3. The game would have been better if Calgary could have been playing like they did in the third period for the whole game... their defence was pretty weak for the first couple period, and it sunk them. I was really pulling for Calgary If only they could have gotten more chances in the first couple periods...
  4. I read about this game in PSM, it actually seems worth a rental. From what I read, the control system/gameplay is a bit closer to Def Jam Vendetta than it is Smackdown. Each girl has a completely different moveset, which is pretty cool. Apparently your characters costume changes too, depending on how face/heelish you act. That's something I think is pretty neat anyways, and shows that the game might have a little replay value. I'll definately rent it.
  5. Anyone ever hear Speed Metal Syphony by Cacophany? That's a pretty cool guitar song. I like the Black Mages takes on the Final Fantasy fight music. Joe Satriani is awesome. He's a guitar god... the guy is just so technically sound, I'm jealous beyond words. I could go on and on about guitar, but I'll just stop now
  6. I find Norah Jones pretty relaxing, and the old fogeys love her...
  7. you misspelled brothers
  8. I've been thinking about 16-bit games lately, and how much fun I had playing them as a kid. It's probably just the fact that I've grown up, but I can't have that same enthusiasm towards video games anymore really. But yeah, back on topic... I found the Sonic games fun, but they weren't that life changing for me. I was always more of an rpg fan. Now Earthbound, Earthbound changed my life!
  9. If you're going to have a list, you should edit the first post and throw the list in there... right? I think that's how I saw it done in the movie thread anyways. But yeah, today I played: Secret of Evermore (SNES) - 7.5/10 A pretty fun action rpg. It has a pretty cool style to it, nice and dark. It doesn't have the most enthralling story or anything, but it's good to kill time. I think this was one of the only rpgs made by Squaresoft USA?
  10. Well, I guess a big reason why I didn't like the ending of Buffy was because I didn't like the final season at all. I didn't have a whole lot of caring for a lot of the characters or storylines at that point, so there wasn't much the last episode could do for me.
  11. Yeah, Connor has had his memory back ever since that episode where he came back.
  12. I thought the Angel/NBC deal was cancelled? Anyways, yeah, I did like the ending. I'm curious as to how long we'll have to wait to find out what happens next though... I really hope someone picks up Angel.
  13. I liked the finale. It was fun to watch, and even hilarious at times ("You're betraying me as we speak!"). It had a nice epic ending... I was frustrated with it at first, but really, I don't know if there's a good way to end Angel. I'm not happy with it being cancelled already, but at least it's going out while the writing is great... unlike Buffy, which dipped down pretty far before they pulled the plug.
  14. Haha yeah, Dire Straits are cool. Sultans of Swing and Romeo & Juliet are a couple other songs that have some nice guitar work. Knopfler is awesome, he's fairly versatile.
  15. I'm almost definately sure this movie will be released in America. I can't think of a movie that has had this much free publicity and hype since The Passion.
  16. Jay-Z - 99 Questions Staind - Zoe Jane The Tragically Hip - bobcaygeon
  17. I've always been a fan of the Pearl Jam - Alive solo. Also, Alice in Chains - Man in the Box has some nice licks. Iron Maiden has more than I care to list. Fear of the Dark is one of my favorites, just because it's one of the first I really liked. Extreme - Cupid's Dead. It's a fun song. Yeah, there's tons of great riffs out there... it's important to learn the whole song though, when you're learning guitar.
  18. A new album I'm impressed with is Billy Talent's self-titled release. It's pretty sexy. But yeah, I think everyone should own something by Alice in Chains. I can't really pick just one album though...
  19. Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Lovin' Machine. Sure, the band has Blues in the name, but this song has always sounded funky to me.
  20. I did a quick google search, and I came across some mods that sounded cool... but I couldn't find any pictures of the mods.
  21. I found Dark Cloud 2 to be way better than the original. It's just way more in-depth, the first game was kind of shallow to me.
  22. DT is pretty sweet... I have one of their live dvds, they put on quite the show. I'm mostly interested in them for Petrucci though, he's one of my favorite guitarists.
  23. Sounds very cool... I'll definately have to keep my eyes open for FF then. When you say there's mods... is there just mods to change the appearances of characters? Or have some people modded it so far as to make a semi-new game, kind of like the Max Payne mods.
  24. You may like the Wild Arms series. It started on PS, and is now on PS2.
  25. Check out INXS and Billy Idol too.
