  1. Finished season 1 of The Wire today. I have no idea why it took me so long to watch this amazing show
  2. Tim Duncan has announced his retirement from the NBA. So long to the greatest Spur and PF of all time, as well as the most unassuming and modest NBA Superstar I have ever seen.
  3. Good on Wade for leaving Miami. The guy gave his all for the organization and took so many pay-cuts and then they treat him so poorly. I've heard a lot of negatives about the shooting % with Rondo/Wade/Butler, but I'm really looking forward to it. Butler's ready to captain the Bulls, Wade can ball - and got out of his comfort zone with so many 3's during the playoffs - and Rondo's there to be a great distributor. They still could use some more pieces, but those 3 + Lopez, McDermott and up-and-comers like Portis and Grant is a solid squad.
  4. Looks like we have a lot of Golden State wins to look forward to. Yeah, the Tweet Larz posted sounds real funny now
  5. I just really hope Durant doesn't choose Golden State. That team has an absurd amount of firepower as it is, and with KD joining it'll just be... unfair? In other news, I like Rondo to the Bulls. Basically everything Sacramento did went unnoticed, but he (and Cousins of course) had really good seasons IMO, and him setting up Butler should be fun.
  6. Al Horford has agreed to join the Boston Celtics.
  7. That will be a great pick-up for Boston, if the deal goes through. Still holding out hope that KD becomes a Celtic, so Horford being there for the pitch would be grand.
  8. Jeremy Lin headed to Brooklyn, Al Jefferson to the Pacers, Bradley Beal got his max deal in Washington, Mozgov to the Lakers, Noah to Knicks, Parsons (probably) to Blazers, Whiteside staying in Miami. O.J. Mayo has also been "dismissed and disqualified" from the league for 2 years for violating the Anti-Drug Program.
  9. Kinda surprised to see Orlando give up Victor Oladipo. Don't think he had the makings of a superstar, but he looked very impressive this year. OKC definitely won that deal.
  10. So nobody actually knows how old Thon Maker is?
  11. Thaddeus Young's been traded from Brooklyn to the Pacers for the #20 pick. So despite some awful decision making the last 3 years, the Nets will actually get a first-round draft pick. Good off-season for Indiana so far, Teague and Young are good pick ups.
  12. Even with all of Rose's injuries and the rampant trade talks I was still so surprised to see it pop up on my Facebook ticker. Wow.
  13. 73-9, but no ring. Having watched the Nets get destroyed by LA in '02, I'm most happy to see Richard Jefferson finally win a championship.
  14. Block from LeBron was incredible. All coming down to the last minute, both teams stuck at 89.
  15. I started (and finished) season 1 a few days ago. Thought the premise was unique if not a little cheesy, but I was won over pretty quickly by Tatiana Maslany's performance(s). Also started season 4 of Orange is the New Black and I'm enjoying it a lot more than 3 which seemed... directionless and boring. Really liking the characters that have been focused on so far.
  16. LeBron should be the Finals MVP, win or lose.
  17. Absolutely incredible performance for Kyrie. LeBron, too of course, but him going off was to be expected. Love on the other hand has just faded into the background.
  18. So was OKC/GSW the real NBA Finals? This is so unbelievably one-sided.
  19. I was hoping the media were exaggerating with their reporting of his condition as today progressed, but sadly they were not. Rest in peace to Muhammad Ali, an inspiration to all and a symbol of hope, pride and excellence for all black people. He'll always be the greatest.

    Doom

Yup. First time there in a little while, and spotted DOOM right away. Having lots of fun so far, though I'm having trouble trying to kill shield-carrying demons while two Hell Knights spawn behind me.

    Doom

Picked this up for $60 at Digital World, having a blast so far!
  22. Anderson Varejao just crossed Enes Kanter and scored. One of the epic NBA collapses. Up 3-1, OKC revert to their old two-man ball ways but now KD and Russ can't make anything.
  23. Westbrook and Durant blew it. HORRIBLE down the stretch Westbrook and Durant blew it. HORRIBLE down the stretch
