  1. Or not... I thought Aldridge would test out free agency, but the Spurs extended him on 3 yrs/$72.3 M. Maybe that heart to heart with Pop will rejuvenate him? (Save us Kawhi)
  2. Champions: OKC Thunder East Champions: Celtics MVP: Kawhi Leonard (hopefully DPOY, too ) Rookie: Ben Simmons Coach: Billy Donovan Most Improved: Rudy Gobert Worst Record: Toss up between Pacers and Nets, I'll go rebuilding Pacers.
  3. Cult of Chucky was way better than it had any right to be.
  4. The East vs. West game this year was going to be laughably one-sided, so I don't mind the change too much.
  5. Westbrook has signed the 5-year/$205M extension with OKC.
  6. I see this as a bit of a transition year for the Spurs. I still think they'll win 50+, either 2nd or 3rd seed depending on how Harden and Paul gel. Kawhi will do Kawhi things and be in the MVP running, younger guys will get more playing time and hopefully Rudy Gay will fit right in. I'm just hoping the Aldridge experiment will end and the Spurs can move on. As for fun/underdog teams to root for, maybe the Nuggets? Millsap is great, Jokic is fun to watch, I can see them fighting for the 8th seed, maybe 7th.

    NBA 2K18

Most fun I've had since 2K12, I'm loving it so far.
  8. Just came back from It. Pretty good, although it doesn't quite measure up to the book. I love that the new Pennywise actor played it darker than Tim Curry did in the miniseries. Ramblings/thoughts:

    NBA 2K18

Prelude story was alright (bonus points for letting me play with and against the Spurs), though the small amount of CAP options was disappointing. I've been playing the hell out of Golden State vs. the Cavs in 2KU, though.
  10. http://variety.com/2017/film/news/tobe-hooper-dead-dies-texas-chain-saw-massacre-poltergeist-director-dies-1202539868/ I can't count how many times I've watched Poltergeist since I was a kid, it's a Halloween go-to every year. Saw Texas Chainsaw for the first time in 2009 and I immediately fell in love with the camerawork, simplicity and the legitimate horror I got from it. Apart from the Crypt episode he did, I haven't seen any non-Poltergeist/TCM work of his, so I think a watchthrough around Halloween of his other work is in order. Rest in peace

    NBA 2K18

List of the all-time team rosters Barkley and Reggie missing to be expected, but also Moses Malone, Rasheed Wallace, Glenn Robinson, etc. Fun additions like Grant Hill and Starbury, though. EDIT: Somehow missed Manute Bol the first time going through the list.. neat.
  12. Isaiah, Crowder, Ante Zizic and 2018 Brooklyn pick for Kyrie, deal is done.
  13. Kidnap was dope. I liked it a little bit more than The Call, which was also a (surprisingly) good abduction movie.

Kyrie Irving is the standard edition cover star, DeMar DeRozan is the Canadian edition cover star and Shaq is on the standard and gold Legend editions. Screenshots of PG, Isaiah and DeRozan MyGM and MyLeague news from Senior Producer MyLeague is my favorite mode in the 2K games, so adding a story + G-League and new CBA stuff like supermax deals has me pretty hyped.
  15. Paul Pierce signed a one-day contract with Boston so he could retire a Celtic Also, I'm a little disappointed that the whole thing with Lonzo and Big Baller shoes may just be a ploy to drum up interest from Nike, Adidas, etc. Although they're $500, I dig the idea of an athlete (black one at that) going independent, keeping control of their likeness and avoiding being taken advantage of by a big corporation.
  16. Bryn Forbes has been excellent in Summer League. With Simmons (and maybe Ginobili) gone, I'm pumped to see what he can do as backup SG for the Spurs.
  17. Are criticals still in the game? Also watching the CPU/CPU matches on Pulse's livestream has me so hyped for the PS4 copy. Just saw an awesome match with Kenny Omega and Kenta Kobashi.
  18. Pretty simple. Only difficult thing is logo making, at least going off Fire Pro Returns, so you'd need to wait for others to do that. Everything else is easy to learn like ORO said.
  19. Vince Carter is joining Sacramento and Rudy Gay is joining the Spurs (partially excited, but also unsure).
  20. Golden State has signed Omri Casspi and Nick Young. Two more sharpshooters. EDIT: Also Utah and Boston are working on a sign-and-trade to send Jae Crowder to the Jazz. Would be nice for them to get something in return for Gordon leaving.
