  1. Yeh, Made In Heaven was basically put together as Freddie Mercury recorded as many vocals as he could, months before his death. He basically told the band to finish the songs later, after he'd died. He basically told them to write anything, he'd sing it, and leave them with whatever he could to make a song from it.

So with what he recorded, they mixed it with old material he had recorded and constructed an album from it.

  2. It wasn't, 4 years after Freddie Mercury died. Innuendo was the last album written and released whilst he was dying. Hence why most of the songs have a deathish overtone to them.

Innuendo was release 5th February 1991, Freddie Mercury died 7 months later, 5th September 1991.

I tried to argue Innuendo was the last album released when he was alive, he thinks it was Made In Heaven.

  3. .. the fact that I have to prove to my drunken father that 'Made In Heaven' wasn't the last Queen album made whilst Freddie Mercury was still alive.

Hell, he doesn't even believe 'Innuendo' is a Queen album.

It's a real shame, as he saw Queen live 3 times, before they got huge, and at one gig in Manchester, some shit band opened for em callde 'U2'.

  4. Trailer

    Che (Film)

So, yesterday, I had the pleasure of watching all of this in one go. My local cinema did a special preview of both Che: The Argentine & Che: Guerrila.

I have to say, this is Academy Award material. del Toro is severely on form in this. It was a bit intense watching almost 5 hours of it (20 minute intermission between films), but it was so worth it. If anyone gets the chance to watch it all at once, do it.

  5. Mine is definately screwed I think since I swapped from Winamp to Itunes early in the year, so mine is pretty old and outdated me thinks.

  7. I may aswell unleash my other band on the world, with their innovative lyrics.

Basically a black/thrash/grindcore band, consisting of me, my bassist from my main band and a friend who's a guitarist is a black metal band.

We're called Grimguts (originally called 'Grindcore Pimping Slut Fucking Child Raping Siesta'), and we're basically a piss take on all the elite serious 'gorecore' death metal bands about at the moment, mainly Annotations of an Autopsy.

Our lyrics focus on guts, women, shit, and mythology. The story to the first album features the 3 members of the band being mythical dark creatures reborn in a new world, destroying all in the way including villagers and lesbian amazonian women. It's kinda like Lord of the Rings, but with more corpse paint and blast beats.

Here's lyrics to two songs on the myspace: Grimguts

I've Got a Handful of Vertebrae and a Head Full of Mad

    This is a shitstorm

    This is a shitstorm

    Defecating on myself

    Golgotha demon in your room

    Defecating in your path

    Futher steps, face your doom

    Till the end of time

    Shitting for your life

    Defecate yourself

    Excrete the evidence

    Defecate yourself

    Defecating hatred

    This is a shitstorm

    This is a shitstorm

    The Dreaded Rear Admiral

The dread rear admiral fell next

Burning alongside his already doomed army

    Into battle

    Take no prisoners alive

He fought alongside his thousand strong army

Against the three who embraced the darkness

    Suicidal point of attack

He fought alongside his thousand strong army

Against the three who embraced the darkness

    Foolish

    Arrogant

    Headed for death

    Fallen

    Defeated

    With their last breath

    Into battle

    Take no prisoners alive

  8. Next seasons bad guy is the real Hero. A bunch of people with superpowers fuckingup everything and helping no one - clearly they need to be stoped. Go Nathan!

Next year's bad guy is the US Government. Think Marvel Civil War me thinks.

  9. Great final episode I thought. I like Sylar's house of fun, and despite the brain shit, should be interesting to see him in Volume 4 against the government or something. As if Adam Munroe can survive a fire, so can he :P

I don't think the Mohinder thing is right though, nor finished. Essentailly all he had to do was pour the formula over his skin to be cured? Yeah right.
  10. Why are you called metalman?

There wasn't one metal song in there :P

But some good choices in there, I was surprised by the PATD album, I like the more Beatle's pop sound they've gone for, suits em. Good choices on Sigur Ros, Laura Marling and The Last Shadow Puppets.

  11. I saw Sean Lock a few years ago and he was brilliant, I need to pick up his DVD.

He did a great gag about being pulled over by the police regarding the music in his vehicle. Not sure if it'll be on there, but it's an ace joke.
