  1. As long as they don't make Steven Gerrard his new roommate, I think Carrol might turn out alright...
  2. To those getting an updated editor, whose did you download, out of curiousity?
  3. Huge howler by Kingson puts West Ham up 1-0. The goal was poor, but deserved lead for us.
  4. So, uh, Liverpool have 6 defenders in their starting 11...
  5. Greatest TV Moment Ever Award goes to...
  6. Okay, I am officially sick of this game. I've tried to keep adjusting to it, but I absolutely hate this year's game of FIFA right now. It might be because I'm mad and ranting, but this game is just fucking awful in the match. This year's "revamped" passing system is the worst it's been in years. So many times a simple pass to a player's feet, a few yard square pass, doesn't go anywhere near the player I'm wanting it to go to. So many times I'll have the analog stick pointing one direction - say a side pass - and the player cuts the pass so it's 5 yards behind the player intended to recieve. Through balls is apparently not possible if there are more than two defenders in the back third; the pass automatically will just be intercepted by the defender. Pro Passing my ass. My indoor team at home passes a whole fucking lot better than that. And skill moves, oh don't even get me started. Seeing as passing never fucking works, I need to actually try and beat players one-on-one sometimes to create space for something to happen. Hah! Me, skill moves? Go back to passing! Nothing I try works. Ever. Fucking bullshit. Yet if I play against the computer, no problemo for the AI. They can do skill moves to full effect all day. I really love a lot of the improvements FIFA has made with the Manager Mode, but jesus, what's the point in playing MM if you can't even enjoy a match anymore because the gameplay is so fucking awful?
  7. Lol. Newcastle trying to bring back Charles Insomnia to SJP
  8. 'Arry has said they're done in the transfer market, so expect Spurs to come up with some huge buy at the deadline.
  9. Survival man. Keep West Ham in the Premier League and I'd be happy. And no, before someone tries to be a smart ass, that would not require divine intervention .
  10. I spent 3 seasons in the MLS with the Philadelphia Union, winning the MLS Title all 3 times, and the US Cup and North American Champions League once (when I left the club we had won our group for the second time, but the knock out stages hadn't come yet). Also got to the finals of the Club World Cup, beating Boca Juniors 2-0 before losing to Juve 2-1 in the Finals. I couldn't get any Prem jobs, but was able to land the Leeds job right at the end of 2010. They were 2 points above the relegation table, and had one of the worst strike forces in the league. Actually, the worst. They had the least amount of goals in the Championship. Revamped the strike force, bringing in an Italian target man, Tiboni, for under a million, and brought Beckford back to Elland Road for 1.1 million. Beckford absolutely raped people in the Championship, going on an incredible run of form, netting 3 goals and 7 assists in 24 starts. I managed to finish 4th in the Championship, securing a play-off spot in the last day. Beat QPR and the Coventry (on a penalty kick in extra time) to win the play-off and get promoted to the Premier League. Kasper Schmeichel, Sam Hird (bought him for 3million), Neil Kilkenny, Beckford, and Tiboni led me through. I really didn't plan on getting promoted at all; we've pre-season favorites to finish dead last. Funds are very limited as well, so I've had to rely on free transfers for the most part. 2 of my purchases I made in January when we were still in the Championship, and planning on still being there for the 2013-14 season. I brought in Victor Anichebe and a young Brazilian striker for 2 million, 2 guys who I hardly imagine will make an impact in the Prem. I did buy Seamus Coleman to sure up my right back spot, for 4.5 million. Everyone else is free, but thankfully there have been some good guys. Matthew Upson and Radoslav Kovac were out of contract at West Ham, and Lampard and Drogba were on free's as well. Also grabbed an Italian left back, Marco Pisano, who is 31. Lamps and Drogba are both 35, Upson 34, and Kovac 33, so I definitely have some worries as to how long these guys will last. Hopefully Schmeichel will come up big for me in goal, the back line won't leak too many goals, and Lampard and Drogab will provide some magic, despite their age. My top players from last season's squad have no real Premier League experience, so I feel I needed these veterans. Sam Hird was bought by Blackburn, but never made an appearance for them. Kilkenny and Jonny Howson have no Prem experience, and Beckford, who tallied a whole 2 goals at Everton before leaving for Italy on a free. Yeah, I understand why my board offered me the season goal of "attempt to avoid relegation" at the start.
  11. Soccernet is reporting that Villa have acquired Michael Bradley on loan for the rest of the season. Sure, just what that club needs: ANOTHER center midfield! Seems like a poor move for Bradley, as it seems like it could be hard for him to grab constant first-team action there. Who knows though, maybe he'll start every game. I never can tell with Villa. With the whole Torres thing, I can understand why he wants to go. He wants Champion's League football, and has always said he admires Chelsea. Hell, I still wish we got him in the summer when we could've brought in a great sum of money for him (but that was never possible with the owners at the time). Like rockbox said though, it's a dick move to do submit a request this late in the window. It's not going to be easy to replace Torres in that little time. Suarez has all the talent to be a world-class striker in the Prem, but he's definitely going to need some time to settle in the Premier League. So losing Torres while adding Suarez just ends up being a huge downgrade for the squad. And bringing in Sturridge isn't going to help this season, despite what potential he may have. All the momentum Liverpool have been gaining under Daglish looks like it could be fading incredibly fast now.
  12. soccernet is saying it now too. Suarez to Pool for almost 23 million pounds. Looks like it's finally going to go through.
  13. Sky Sports is reporting Pool have reached a 26.5 million euros agreement with Ajax for Suarez. I haven't seen it anywhere else yet, and it's only in their Transfer Watch thing, so not sure of its validity yet.
  14. Harry said Niko can leave Spurs this transfer window. Hey Sullivan and Gold, sign him up! The midfield could badly use a midfielder with creative abilities to get forward. Sign this man~!
  15. Wow. We really cannot get a win. I can't believe what happened, that whole ordeal with Piquionne. Ugh, just completely gutted. 3 points would've been so wonderful, but I guess we have to at least think positive: a point on the road.
  16. Wolves didn't deserve to concede a 3rd to be fair, but whenever Pool can get two goals from Torres and am emphatic win (on the road, no less), then I will definitely take it.
  17. I'm also looking for Jack McInerney to step up and have a break out season. Not in in terms of MLS, but just for the team. He's a kid with a lot of potential, and I think someone with a solid combination of pace, vision, and on the ball talent to become a great center forward type of player. I'm also hoping for Okugo to play more of a role this season, as I think he's got the quality to become a solid midfielder as well.
  18. A veteran goalkeeper and a rising center back? Uh, yes please. Seitz was an epic flop last year, and the back line needs improvement pretty much everywhere, so this is great for us. Now to let Le Toux and Mwanga to continue raping people!
  19. Like it was said, just another fuck-up in the debacle known as the Gold & Sullivan Era. My goodness these two are fucking awful. For two people who've always supported West Ham, and bought the club because of their love for the club throughout life, they don't give a fuck about West Ham. All they do is feed their own ego's by creating drama and turmoil for the club. Keeping Avram because it's the right thing to do, and they're decent people? No, you're a bunch of self-indulging twat waffles. You publicly ridiculed Zola all last season when the club was in a relegation fight, and said the squad was Championship level caliber, which just further depressed the squad and caused more poor performances. Now you're putting all the dirty laundry out to air, and making things, again, worse for the club. You don't give a fuck about Avram Grant. You wanted O'Neill, and had all intentions of sacking Grant for MON, but MON probably knew how bad it would be for him to come in. MON would look like a total cunt, and then just want to leave soon anyways because he's a control freak and won't have 20 million pounds a season at his disposal to spend. Yes, Grant has been awful and doesn't deserve to manage the club anymore, but if you had any competency, you'd go after a manager like Big Sam or Chris Hughton. Both managers have shown they can work on small budgets, and garner the support of the players. Shit, I hate Big Sam, but even I know the cunt would be a great fit for West Ham. I know West Ham badly needed new owners last season. The financial problems were awful, and there were fears of administration/points deduction, which would've led to our relegation. I'm thankful that Gold & Sullivan helped save the club at the time, but at the same time, there were other people trying to gain control of the club, people who I'm sure would've done a much better job than Pinky and the Brain have. The future for West Ham is very bleak, and not because of our pending relegation, but because Gold and Sullivan are worse than Avram Grant when it comes to their respective, albeit different, job.
