  1. Ah, we just gave in a wrong teamsheet. Boffin is actually on the bench. I'm actually glad to see Spector play in the midfield. It was his natural position when he was a younger; he just got converted to a center back because of an injury crisis on his team, and then Man U converted him to a right back. He deserves the chance to see if he can be a good, consistent midfielder for us. The inclusion of Luis Boa Morte, however... not so much. STILL don't get why Avram has such a hard-on for him.
  2. West Ham has no sub keeper in the teamsheet, and a back line of 4 center backs. Since when did Maradonna take over for Avram Grant as manager?
  3. I'm for Torres to Philly . There's definitely some great talents here in the Re-Entry Draft. Angel, GBS, Conrad, and Wolff, plus some other solid MLS type players like Hedjuk, Kovalenko, Lopez, Vagenas, Serioux, Cunningham, and Stephenson. Should be interesting to see what happens. I'd love for Philly to pick up Conrad; he and Califf could hopefully make a good centre back duo.
  4. At least Qatar is a little bit liberal in their Sharia Law. It would've been hilarious to see some supporters travel in the country if women couldn't drive a car
  5. FUCK QATAR! Seriously, awful, awful, awful pick. I just don't see how the Middle East is ready for a World Cup.
  6. Fuck Russia? I'd rather Russia than Spain/Portugal, although I really was hoping for Netherlands/Belgium. Wanted England the most, but knew if they got it, we'd never get it for 2022 in the USA. But seriously, does anyone else think how awful an idea it is to have the World Cup in the Middle East right now, even in a place like Qatar?
  7. Wow, that is incredible. I thought for sure it could be a long night when I saw we would have to put Jonathan Spector in the center of the pitch. But wow, incredible. Two huge goals from him; Obinna was amaing with four assists, and two goals for Cole will be great for his confidence. Plus, we did this with a weaker side as well. Faubert, Tomkins, and Spector haven't played since August; Ben Haim has been out injured for over a month; Barrera has been more of a sub; Kovac is a fringe player. Huge win for us... I really hope we've turned the corner after a horrible first third of the season.
  8. Naw, it says the transfer would send my team over the salary cap, not theirs. I figured maybe FM was just making a mistake, but looking into their salary, it didn't seem to send theirs over either.
  9. John Gruden is interested in the Miami job, and CBS Sports is reported the two sides are reaching out to each other to talk about their interest. That would definitely be a huge boost for Miami if they could lure Gruden to The U, but I can't see it happening.
  10. To be fair, the Eagles were playing without their 2 starting cornerbacks. Although, yeah, that was still pretty dire on the D's part.
  11. Maxi and Torres work really well together, but my goodness Maxi cannot finish from inside the box with the keeper to beat. I think that's the 3rd time I've seen Maxi blow a one-on-one in the past two matches I've seen Liverpool play. Goodness.
  12. VDV off for Spurs already with his hammy aggravated; Defoe on. While Defoe's still a lethal striker, I'd rather have him on the VDV for sure, as a Pool fan at least.
  13. FM10 was the first of the series I ever played, and loved it. Having troubles getting into 11 so far though. Been playing a MLS game with Philadelphia Union, and it's irritating the piss out of me. Whenever I try to acquire someone with a trade/player exchange, the deal keeps falling through because the deal would somehow push me over my salary cap. The problem? The player's contract is only 800 a week, and I am currently 1,000 under. The player being exchanged has a 3K a week salary. In no way, shape, or form, does this make any sense at all.
  14. Well he's English, so odds are yes, he does.
  15. Wow, you gotta feel for Arsenal. Carlos Vela is clearly fouled in the box, but gets booked for diving instead of getting the penalty. Then Braga score on a counter, and take a 1-0 lead. The only positive for Arsenal? At least Eboue got hurt and had to leave the match
  16. So uh, can Messrs. Sullivan and Gold please sack Avram Grant now? If we're going to have any chance of staying up this season, then Grant has to go. The only reason he hasn't been sacked yet is because he is "their" man, and they don't want to admit, that yet again, they fucked up.
  17. Will Gold and Sullivan now please realize that Avram Grant was not the right hire, and dismiss him? Grant cannot motivate the players at all, and the Hammers need inspiration if they're going to ever get out of the bottom three.
  18. Welcome back Fernando Torres. We have missed you so much <3
  19. Damn. Hargreaves is already coming out. Poor guy can't catch a break.
  20. Wow. Who knew Huddlestone was such a dirty cunt? PETROV~!
  21. And this is why it's heart breaking to be a West Ham fan.
  22. Come on you mighty Hammers! We really need a win here against Stoke, especially after losing home over the weekend. A strong cup run will hopefully be great for our morale, which this squad greatly needs if we're ever going to get out of the drop zone.
  23. Bahaha, oh how this describes Liverpool all too well, sadly. We finally go ahead against Blackburn, and then Jamie Carragher blows the lead with an own goal. *EDIT* And thank you Torres~!
  24. I am not a huge fan of the signing fees. Every time I try and enter contract negotiations with Ashley Young (and I am Chelsea, mind you), my board restrictions won't allow me to give Young the signing bonus his agent demands of him. Anyone know what you have to adjust so you can give him the signing bonus? I have more than enough room in my transfer budget for the transfer fee plus signing bonus, so not sure what you would have to adjust. I could see something like this being a pain in the ass throughout most of the game in terms of signing quality players.
  25. Yeah, as an Eagles fan, the Robinson hit was fine. It was a good, clean, hard hit. It's not his fault. If you wanna put blame on ANYONE, look at Kevin Kolb. He made a hurried, and pretty poor pass to just avoid a sack. He left Jackson out to dry. When a quarterback makes a throw like that, a short lob over the middle, he's just asking for his reciever to get lit up by the defense.
