  1. You mean the others aren't covers (or unknown?) Darn it- I was hoping that the title of "Help Me" meant that Cash had bypassed NIN and decided to cover Nick Carter on his next album (it would be pure evil, but come on- that would be interesting to see...)
  2. Love Hina Full Moon wo Sagashite Slam Dunk Kimagure Orange Road Maison Ikkoku EDIT: okay...
  3. Hey, Chobits rocked.. Other than that, stuff I would suggest: I'd reiterate on Pita Ten (very cool series) and Love Hina (one of my personal faves), would definitely suggest picking up some Shonen Jump if only for the sampler factor (though personally, the only series in Shonen Jump I'm into are One Piece, Hikaru no Go, and Naruto- [some of the non-magazine ones with the Jump label like Rurouni Kenshin and Prince of Tennis are fairly sweet as well]). As for my personal faves (right now), the ones I'm currently buying regularly are Excel Saga, Comic Party, and To Heart (warning: Latter two SERIOUS acquired tastes- Reflecto has VERY squirrelly taste in anime/manga- your mileage may vary...)
  4. Things I hate about it: The need to put in the ISDN number to suggest books instead of just titles (*sniff* It wouldn't let me suggest "Mein Kampf" with "Have More Money Now"...)
  5. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (I'm not surprised I haven't seen it due to its crappiness, but because I've owned a copy of it since last summer and still haven't watched it yet...)
  6. From what I played of ESPN 2K5, it's definitely worth the price, but I doubt it'll be better than Madden (from what I played, the game is EXTREMELY easy- on offense, you have basically two choices: Run- get at least 8 yards per carry Pass- if the wide receiver catches it [which occurs 90% of the time], it WILL be a touchdown. Due to these, you'll almost never have to use special teams, but if you do, it will be successful [when I tried it.] (Warning: Reflecto is a huge Patriots fan, and as such was playing as the Pats when he was playing the game. Mileage may vary for fans of "lesser" teams. ) The other modes are also way too easy for my taste, the franchise is just enough so it remains playable and keeps a challenge in the game, and the Crib mode has some moments to keep it usable for the game (while it's definitely a lame idea, extra points have to go to it on X-Box for one nice little x-factor the game has in crib mode- while playing, I've found that the Crib mode's jukebox feature has one of the highest limits for customized soundtracks in almost any X-Box game with that feature I've played [most games have a limit of 100 songs you've burned, ESPN 2k5 has a limit of around 500 (not sure the exact number, but suffice it to say it got the vast majority of my playlist on it.)]
  7. I actually just read this at Waldenbooks (since I joined the TokyoPop street team and they've been hyping it as the greatest thing since shaved vagina, I decided to just give it a try), and may I simply say it is "t3h suxx0rz." The series mixes bad shojo manga with bad rock manga to provide with a series that has almost no redeeming qualities. In short, place this less in the TokyoPop tradition of being arguably the top manga company in the US right now (confirmed in output, and arguably one of the best quality-wise) and more in their tradition of being the group that is well-known for its mangling of FMW...
  8. The Wiz Kid- The plotline (that I haven't suppressed by its lameness)... a rich kid with a grating English accent falls in love with a girl with an equally-grating accent (who apparently is a huge rock star despite being only around 8 years old.) In order to woo this girl, he decides to make a clone of himself, only "cool" (in the insanely stereotypical way of "cool" as seen in the late '80s- early '90s.) Surprisingly, this works. Hilarity does not ensue. The end result was so bad it was good, then got bad again, and repeated enough so that it ended at "makes Baby L.Ron Hubbard cry."
  9. MVP 2004 wasn't bad: The Dynasty Mode is awesome on it, even with the glitches. I bought it when it came out- not too bad, though I basically stopped playing when I bought All-Star 2005 (I know, I know- what can I say, I really like the Expansion mode in ASB...) MLB 2005 is way too easy, pretty sub-par on its gameplay, and its "dynasty" mode leaves a lot to be desired (only using the "career" mode rather than a good dynasty mode, like all the other games have.) The only reason to buy it is if you have an Eye-Toy and REALLY want to use your own face for your created guy.
  10. As per the original question (which to buy:) Since you've said that you got hooked on FF8 (GOOD CHOICE- IMO FF8 is the best of the series), I would suggest you go with FFX as your second game to go with (the feel of FFX is close enough to FF8's feel so that you'll be most likely to enjoy it as much.) After that, I would go with FF7 (possibly the most essential own on Playstation of all the games), possibly followed by FFX-2 or FFIX.
