  1. That should be an easy win for Lashley. Jones isn't that good off of his back, and his TDD isn't that good. Lashley should get the win if he trains right and goes in there with a clear head.
  2. I was ranking them on Wrestling ability not overall MMA talent. Lashley is a better wrestler then Mir (who is also pretty decent). And Hardonk is actually pretty good/ok on the ground and might beable to catch Lashley with a sub, hell he caught McCully in a triangle. And i meant simply that Herring who used to be a fairly good wrestler doesn't really use it much and prefers to strike, yes he's pretty good on the ground i didn't mean he wasn't. And i meant that McCully won't hold a wrestling advantage, and i doubt that he would pull a sub from his back not that he isn't a capable grappler. And i know what i'm talking about, i wasn't ranking them as fighters, but on wrestling ability. My list was very accurate on how UFC HW's stack up in WRESTLING ability. If it was meant for talent i'd of had Mir at #1, Lesnar #2, Couture #3, Nogueria would have been listed ect...ect...ect.. EDIT: In other news Travis Lutter has signed on to fight Dean Lister at MFC 21. The card is stacked really, but this fight should be awesome. Other Fights on MFC 21 David Heath vs Travis Gailbraith Aron Lofton vs Mike Nickles Bryan Baker vs Solomon Hutcherson Jake Ellenberger vs John Alessio Marcus Auriello vs TBA
  3. All i want to see out of Lashley If/When he eventually makes it to the UFC is a showdown with Carwin. I'd say Lesnar or Cain, but both are in another league right now, both are better strikers then Lashley is and both are better wrestlers. If Lashley where to join the UFC right now he'd do good agains, Grove, Wain, McCully, Sanchez ect. But although Lashley is a very talented wrestler and just beat a good wrestler in Jason Guida, neither he nor Guida for that matter can hold a candle to the wrestling ability of Cain Velazquez and Randy Couture, and would be further behind Brock. If Lashley enters the UFC soon the HW wrestler ranks are like this; 1. Brock Lesnar 2. Randy Couture 3. Cain Velazquez 4. Bobby Lashley 5. Shane Carwin 6. Other Former Wrestlers who have abandoned it (Herring and Mir) 7. Josh Hendricks 8. Justin McCully 9. Everyone else So while he'd do well against guys with no ground game and limited wrestling or vice versa (Heath Herring, Sanchez, Kongo, McCully) he would get beaten by people like Nog, Mir, Hardonk, Gonzaga, Cain, Couture and Lesnar. I believe that with more seasoning (which he plans on getting) Lashley is one of the top prospect at HW along with Cain. I think Lashley given who he is training with and how hard he reportably trains that he will pick up submissions and should learn some striking. Lashley is a scary prospect indeed, but although i think he will have a great career, i don't think it will be close to the guy everyone will/is comparing him too.

  5. It's unfair to use Jason White with those guys. Jason White never got a chance in the NFL his knees were too broke down and ended up retiring before training camp because of them. So it's not a fair comparrison to lump him in there with other busts.
  6. Fuck i missed the draft aswell. At least i came away with Morneau,Burnett and Kazmir. Mauer will be nice if his back heals up. In fact i like my team minus Phil Hughes, Lastings Milledge and Khalil Greene
  7. that was Guida's first shot at trying to make 205 in his life. he is a Heavyweight, and thats where he fight best. He is talented, he is like a bigger less skilled version of Clay Guida. Jason is tough, and his record would be remarkably better if he didn't take most of his fights on short notice. Guida is the type of journeyman fighter that can show if you are ready. I'm not saying Guida is a top fighter, but a win over him in his second fight is impressive. But if you want really impressive look no further then Mo Lawal, who in his first fight fought above his weight and beat a very tough and at that time top 10-12 HW in Travis Wiuff. Then he beat Kawamura who is a King of Pancrase. So Mo looks like the real deal i can't wait to see how he develops down the road.
  8. The casual fan may not find the win very impressive, but it is IMO. Beating Guida is no easy task, especially when you're so inexpierenced. Lashley doesn't need to worry about beating people with impressive records right now, if he's smart he will take fights that are tough but winnable. He still needs more cage time.
  9. I don't think all Big 12 QB's will be stars or even starters in the NFL. I love to watch Chase Daniel play but i know he won't make it very far. I'm not sold on Josh Freeman, although almost everyone else is. I'm sure Grahm Harrel won't ever be a starting QB unless injuries occur. Bradford and McCoy i think are good enough to do something in the NFL. I agree that Stafford would've put up big numbers in the Big 12. But i'd argue that Colt McCoy or Sam Bradford would still be highly hyped QB's if they played in the SEC. The numbers wouldn't be the same or as good, but i think they could still excel.
  10. Thank you.... that was a response that wasn't just bashing me. you gave me a good response there and stated your opinon mixed with fact without getting personal. And we agree on Flacco having to work harder to get into the NFL then McCoy will. Also the only way to absolutely say which is better in their senior year is to switch the situations, i agree with you. That is the only way to know, without any bias or opinon involved. All this aside though, i don't dislike Flacco, i think he will become a great QB. I think he has the poise and is on the right team to make it happen. I also think McCoy will make a good-great NFL QB in time. I do not however feel that Mark Sanchez will make a good QB i think he is Overrated. Matthew Stafford looks pretty good though, he could become a good QB.
  11. That was my point. My point is that someone said McCoy will likely fail in the NFL. I said that McCoy is better then Flacco was entering his final college season. My Point is that if Flacco can improve, and enter the league and be thrown into the fire and play well in the NFL. Then it is stupid to say that McCoy will fail, because at this point Colt is better then Flacco was in his final season at Delaware. If Joe Flacco who played at Delaware can come in to the Ravens, and help them go far, then it is stupid to think Colt McCoy from Texas who is more proven as a QB then Flacco was when he was drafted, will surely fail in the NFL and accomplish nothing. My point is that Colt McCoy has the potential to be a great NFL QB, i'm not saying he for sure will, because you can never tell but he has the potential to do it. And yes i read the other post, i responded with the fact that Jason White shouldn't count towards that list because his Knee's fucked him over in the NFL not his talent. And I said that Troy Smith showed promise when played alot of people saw that. That was just overlooked i guess. I'm not trying to say that Colt McCoy is going to be better then Flacco or that he is currently. I'm saying that McCoy can be a great QB, and that he is better now then Flacco was. Thats my point it got carried away. Everyone acts as if i said that Colt McCoy's NCAA Career is better then Joe Flacco's NFL Career where in fact i've never stated it. My whole point this whole time has been that Colt McCoy has the tools to become a great NFL QB. I used the fact that he is better going into his senior year then Flacco was as a point of reference that if Flacco can become a good NFL QB then surely Colt can. I may have mis-stated it a few times, but thats been my whole point this entire time.
  12. I Don't see why not. i've made my points, they have made their points, so i see no reason to keep on arguing.
  13. No it's not. The point being made against you is the fact that you seem to be equating Colt McCoy's experience in the Big 12 as meaning he's a better QB than Joe Flacco because he played at a bigger school. Does the name Ben Roethlisberger out of the University of Miami (OH) mean anything to you? Because it pretty much trumps that logic to begin with considering he's now lead the Steelers to 2 Super Bowl rings and he played in the MAC. no, thats what people are taking. My point was that Colt McCoy is better then Joe Flacco was as a senoir. Then people said Flacco has played in the NFL so he is better clearly. So if thats the case, then McCoy is better then Flacco as a senoir because he played at Texas and not Delaware. That logic is faulty, but it was used against me first. And Big Ben and Flacco are different beasts, the MAC has always had good QB's. I'm not Saying McCoy is a better QB Now then Flacco was a senoir because he played at Texas not Delaware. I'm saying he is because he has more accurate throws, and is a better scrambler. I was using the other posters logic against them to prove a point.
  14. and neither does Flacco is a better QB then Colt McCoy because he has played in the NFL. It's a two way street. They tried to say that Flacco is a better QB and has more talent because he has faced Pro Defenses, then if thats the case, McCoy is a better QB now then Flacco was when he was drafted because he played D1 Schools. It's the same thing. If i'm wrong on that basis then so are they.
  15. I was making a Point. it's the exact same Logic that was/is being used against me. if it's flawed for me, it is for them aswell.
  16. Jesus fucking christ, EVERYONE DOES THAT. Find someone who agrees with you, please. You are a moron. Colt McCoy plays in a division 1 school, a pro factory with loads of talent. Flacco played at Delaware. Does this not click with you? Wait, why am I bothering to ask. THAT WAS MY POINT. Colt McCoy is more ready for the NFL then Joe Flacco was his senoir year, because he faced tougher competition. I've only stated over and over, glad to see you kinda caught on. Colt McCoy has faced better defences then Flacco did at Delaware, he also preformed better then he did, thats the point. Your telling me Flacco is better then McCoy because he has faced NFL Defenses and succeeded, therefore Colt McCoy is better then Flacco was before the draft because he has faced superior defenses, it's your own logic. Ken Dorsey. Goodnight. Fuck. I knew he was about to brought up. ok you got me there, he has absolutely bombed in the NFL.
  17. EDIT: I said McCoy is a better QB now then Flacco was going into his final season at Delaware. Flacco is the better QB now, i agree that is the truth. I'm saying Colt McCoy going into his Senoir season is better then Joe Flacco was in his. BEFORE Flacco got NFL Coaching, NFL Expierence, before he was an NFL QB.
  18. I NEVER said Colt McCoy was a better NFL QB then Flacco, i said he has more talent, and a better QB now then Joe Flacco was his final season at Delaware. I'm just going to ignore Max, because no matter what i said he'd disagree on the basis of me saying it. and he says i have problems. EDIT: I'll take Accuracy over Cannon Arm anyday, because you can't teach arm strength as you said, but it matters nothing if the throw is horrible. I'll take a accurate QB who makes most of his passes over a big arm QB who can throw the deep ball. I know alot of people will take the Cannon arm but it's just a preference.
  19. So because someone is drafted in the first round that makes them better then someone who will be taken most likely in the 2nd-3rd round? Did you forget to tell Tom Brady? McCoy has way more accuracy on his passes then Flacco, is more battle tested then Flacco when Flacco was going into the draft. Flacco right now is more proven then McCoy is. What do you want for your QB a Cannon Arm, Poise and Mobility or Accurate Arm, Mobility and Poise? i'll take the second and thats Colt McCoy. the Scouts may have loved Flacco, because of his poise and arm, but i'll take McCoy's Accuracy and expierence at Texas over what Flacco did prior to this season as a pro. And i said he is better right now then Matt Ryan when he was going into his final season, and thats not farfetched at all. EDIT: Jason White's problem wasn't lack of talent but horible knees. Also Troy Smith didn't do too poorly.
  20. Any half way decent QB could've led that Ravens team to the playoffs. I'm not saying Flacco isn't/wasn't successful, but McCoy is the better QB. If you want to argue that Flacco has actually done something in the pros which is what your doing, you could try and use that one. Just as i can say Colt McCoy did better in College against better competition. Fact is, Flacco had 1-3 good games all year, he didn't really do anything of note, his Defense and running game carried him. Flacco is still largely undevolped, and green. His own talent level isn't at McCoy's right now. His success level is higher. EDIT: Colt would do just as good if not better then Flacco did at Delaware. Maxx is an asshole, and i've never not once claimed Sage was a great QB. Dude your just grasping at straws because your asshole self doesn't like me, well i don't really give a fuck. And you'd disagree with anything i would say even if you agree, because your a dick who has some sort of problem with me.
  21. Yeah because Joe Flacco clearly led that team. it had nothing to do with a dominating defense. or nothing to do with a brutal running game. yeah they went to the AFC Championship game because of joe Flacco . And you call me stupid, look in the mirror man.
  22. Joe Flacco is not better then McCoy, the only thing he does better is throw the deep ball. He's not as mobile or accurate. And say what you will about Big 12 Defense they are better then D2 Defences for sure.
  23. i can give you Harrel as most likely a bust, and as much as it pains me to say it i doubt Chase Daniel will do anything either. But Colt McCoy has a shot, he's def better then Bradford. and the Big 12 does play defense because if i'm not mistaken (i'm not) Both Texas and Oklahoma had top 20 Defenses this year.
  24. He has good accuracy, tough, makes good decisions and can scramble. I'll take an accurate QB with toughness and scrambling abilty over a cannon arm QB who is a statue. I'll take Colt McCoy over Joe Flacco.
  25. I'm not that big of a fan of McCoy, i don't like Texas, but every game i've seen of his last Year he looked better than the games i saw Matt Ryan in at Boston College. McCoy is a great college QB and can become a great NFL QB he has the potential to do that. And i know it's not all about stats, because if it were Chase Daniel who is my favorite QB going into the draft this year would be a 1st or second round pick, where as now he's projected to go in the 5-6 rounds. Also if stats made the player then Timmy Chang would have won the Hiesman and been a first day pick. Matt Ryan right now is way better then he was at BC, he's also better then Colt McCoy. But IMO Colt McCoy right now is better then Matt Ryan was going into his final year at BC. Colt has good accuracy, makes clutch plays, can scramble, can take a hit, the guy has a future. I'm not saying that if you compare Colt to Ryan right now that Colt is better he isn't it aint close either. But If Colt McCoy was apart of last years class he'd def be the 2nd-3rd best QB behind Ryan and maybe Brohm.
