  1. The only thing about Hardonk that is overlooked is his ground game. Everyone acts as if it is some kind of horrible and that he doesn't know anything on the ground. People seem to forget that Hardonk is a Purple Belt in BJJ and a legit one at that. His instructor is none other then Rickson Gracie.
  2. I lost all respect for Akano, when she reversed her decision and decided to fight Cyborg. She should have stuck with the proving a point by not fighting because of her opponents retardedness. Also, i have no urge to see either Frank Shamrock or Nick Diaz win a fight so i'm definitely not watching tonight. And, you can wiegh-in a pound over, so if the fight is for 179 and you wiegh in at 180 thats perfectly fine. So the fight is actually a 170lbs catch-wieght fight, but it's really just semantics. Also i can't wait for Hughes vs Serra, i'm looking forward to someone smashing in the face of that prick. I can't wait to see what Serra says after he gets domlished and abused by Hughes. It will be beautiful to see.

  5. Spoiler: Click here to viewWAR MONSON. I'm a huge Jeff Monson fan, and for him to beat a top guy like Sergei, only cements the fact that Monson is a top HW, i personally think if it had not been for that las at AOW, he'd be considered Top 10. With a few more wins though he'll make it in. Well be intresting to see if he goes back to the UFC like he said he wanted to. I know he wants to fight in ireland again, and the UFC would give him that oppertunity plus then some, i hope he does come back. Monson is one of my favorite fighters.
  6. i just don't like biased journalists, they are fucking annoying and only show one side of the story and often mislead people with half-truths and lies. And i could care less if anyone likes me, hell i'm not too popular in real life, why would i be on the internet? That all aside, am i the only one who thinks talking about fighters p4p and ranking them is beyond retarded?
  7. The worst move the lions could make would be drafting Sanchez at 1. I could see if he falls to 20 or getting Freeman in the second. But they would be smart to get The best Lineman in the draft, and some defensive help.
  8. sure maybe, but Lorreta Hunt is a biased, stupid bitch who tries to villefy the UFC and Dana because of a personal vendetta. So what he said was spot on. If anything saying faggot may have been litle excessive, but words are just words, they have no power other then what we give them, no meaning other then what we give them. Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. People who let other peoples opinon of them and other peoples words hurt them or offend them are just weak minded people. EDIT: Ninja Rua's opponent for Dream has been hurt and Rua has been since taken off of the card. Final card is as follows Main card: Sergei Kharitonov (16-3) vs. Jeff Monson (29-8) Ikuhisa Minowa (41-29-8) vs. Katsuyori Shibata (2-6-1) Andrews Nakahara (1-1) vs. Shungo Oyama (7-11) Vitor Ribeiro (19-2) vs. Katsuhiko Nagata (4-4-1) Welterweight Grand Prix: Shinya Aoki (20-3) vs. Hayato Sakurai (34-8-2) Andre Galvao (2-0) vs. John Alessio (24-12) Yuya Shirai (15-7) vs. Jason High (6-1) Marius Zaromskis (8-2) vs. Seichi Ikemoto (18-14-5) Featherweight Grand Prix: Hideo Tokoro (21-15-1) vs. Daiki Hata (10-5-3)
  9. Really? the first that pops into my head is Phil Baroni. Also Nick Diaz, BJ Penn. The only one i like is Phil Baroni though.
  10. i love the Role Models reference. Lol. I rated them a 8. I like them, don't know alot of there songs by name, but when i hear them i know it's Kiss and usually enjoy them. Plus Gene Simmons is awesome. They are a great band, and i do have some on my iPod, and enjoy listening to them. My favorite song by them is Love Gun.
  11. I'm currently playing quite a few games. NDS- Pokemon:Emerald XBox- GTA:SA XBox360- Mercinaries 3 XBox- UFC Tapout 2 PC- TEW, Championship Manager 01/02, Baseball Mogul 2008, WMMA
  12. It's not like Chris Simms is exactly horseshit, or that Orton can't complete a pass. Both are decent to good QB's who can improve. I believe that Orton is vastly underrated and will have a good career. I also think that Simms if he could just stay healthy has a shot at a quality career aswell, he has talent, but he always gets hurt just when he's putting it together. I do think if Selvin Young and Co. can stay healthy and be effective that either Simms or Orton can lead the Broncos to a decent season, potentially playoffs if the Defense improves. Denver might have won the division last year if the whole roster of RB's didn't get hurt. I'm not saying they would have, but they definetley had a real legit shot at it. I think Denver regardless of how much there Defense Improves will still be the second place team behind the Chargers.
  13. Updated UFC 99 (in germany) card so far; MAIN CARD Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva Ben Saunders vs. Mike Swick Marcus Davis vs. Dan Hardy Spencer Fisher vs. Caol Uno Heath Herring vs. Cain Velasquez PRELIMINARY CARD Dale Hartt vs. Denis Siver Rousimar Palhares vs. Alessio Sakara Denis Stojnic vs. Stefan Struve Peter Sobotta vs. Paul Taylor John Hathaway vs. Rick Story Justin Buchholz vs. Terry Etim Mustapha al Turk vs. Todd Duffee Roli Delgado vs. Paul Kelly I think it looks pretty solid to tell the truth, i think all the main card fights minus Cain/Herring have FOTN or even FOTY potential on them. Should be a great card. I don't know if it's been posted but Nate Diaz's next fight is against Joe Stevenson. I think that fight should be entertaining, and i hope to see Diaz lose again. Also The UFC plans on cutting some of Dana Whites interviews, his reality show has been canceled(it was in production), and his Vlogs will be canceled. Looks alitle harsh for me, plus he aplogized to GLAAD. (EDIT: Fuck, already Posted, oh damn....) Personally i agree with Lorreta Hunt being a dumb little bitch. I hate the he's being crucified. i like the fact that he speaks his mind, and isn't mr political correctness. FUCK Political Correctness. I don't see the big deal, i think this is all blow out of porportion, i mean it's AMERICA Damnit, FREE SPEECH! he can say what the fuck he wants, it sucks that people forget that. Clint Eastwood was right when he said this recently "Americans today are mostly pussies" Hell even Patrick Swayze thinks so.
  14. As much as my love for the Vikings is known, i fully believe that if the Bears get a better Line and WR that they can very well win the division next year. I personally believe both Vikings and Bears will make the playoffs, i'm not sure which will be a wild card though. I think Cutler makes the Minnesota vs Chicago game alot more intresting, because as much as i hate to admit it, i think Cutler gives the edge to the Bears. The Vikings pass defense is weak and i think that Cutler will beable to exploit it and have a huge game in the dome and probably in Chicago barring horrible weather. I do think both teams are good, and that if they stay healthy and key players for Minnesota (Kevin Williams, Antoine Winfield, Peterson, Pat Williams, Berrian and Hutchinson) and Chicago (Briggs, Urlacher, Vasher, Olsen, Cutler and Forte) preform as expected, that both teams will make the playoffs. I think the Packers will do pretty good but still be the odd team out. I do think this trade momentarily lifts the NFC North out of "Joke" status. I think that one team (likely Minnestota) wins 11 games and the other (likely Chicago) wins 9-10 games. I think the Lions will be better and that they won't have the first overall pick again when next seasons over, but they still have a lot of work.
  15. i think he needs a year or two to develop before he will start to flourish if ever. Thats why i think taking Rhett Bomar in the third is a safer, cheaper pick up. Both QB's have talent, both have potential and both will likely need a year or two to get adjusted. Culpepper isn't a bad QB, he isn't a great one or even a good one really, but they could start worse QB's like Stafford. If Stafford started next season with the Lions, he'd do worse then Culpepper would by a long shot. I still say give Stanton a shot, but that seems unlikely. But i think Rhett Bomar could be a very good NFL QB down the road, probably better then Stafford. And not to mention he will come cheaper and they can get a franchise OT and some defensive help to go with him.
  16. Yeah, me and my friend were talking about it, and Bomar has alot of potential and will come relatively cheap. He won't cost as much Stafford/Freeman/Sanchez will but he could be a good QB, and a relatively safe QB, He has talent, and shown that he could do good at Sam Houston State and at Oklahoma, so that he wasn't just a system QB. Plus, i think that all of the "big three" QB's will be prospect QBs, they will need seasoning as will Bomar, but will be more expensive, and Bomar has alot of upside aswell.
  17. I can see what your saying. They should either get Robiske somehow or trade someone to get Maclin/Crabtree. I think Maclin especially would flourish with Cutler. I'm not sure they will and it's farfetched but not a bad idea. Isn't Urlacher a free agent at the end of this upcoming season?
  18. But in Lesnars defense he couldn't build up from the ground like other people, he is to big of a name, a bunch of people know him, he unlike other people named Kimbo Slice, actually fought very tough fighters, contenders. His first fight was against a very underrated fighter in Min Soo Kim, who sure his record isn't great is a stud in Judo and is a pretty decent kick boxer. Then his first fight in the UFC was against his worse possible match up a Former UFC Heavyweight Champion and BJJ Blackbelt who he was dominating to he got caught. Then he rolled over a tough veteran in Heath Herring, dominated him on the ground and the feet. Then he faced in only his fourth fight Randy Couture who is a legend, and won the fight via a second round KO. Now he is rematching Mir, thats competition. Lashley is being brought up the right way for him though, he isn't a big name really, and he just fought a tough and underrated Jason Guida who is a tough fighter. Lashley can become something with more time to grow, and develop. That said, i want to see Lashley vs Lesnar down the road. Right now it would be a complete mismatch, as Brock is the better striker and wrestler, plus he's faster and stronger. But i think both of these guys are the real deal, and will be around for a while minus injuries. I think Lashley could do great on TUF, it would help him grow, help him get recognized again, and give him more expierence. Lashley's strength and athleticism and wrestling would probably be enough to help him win the show (IE: Bader, Efrain)
  19. The Lions would be retarded to draft Stafford first overall, the only thing worse would be taking Sanchez. They should take a Lineman, and defense, forget drafting a big name QB, and get Rhett Bomar in the third round. Bomar is a good QB who could likely become a good NFL QB. or they can start Culpepper/Stanton for this year and get one of the "marquee" QB's next year. Stafford might be good, and may do well in the NFL but he isn't worth the first overall pick. I think the best place for Stafford would be Seattle. He would get time to adjust to NFL defenses while not being thrust into the spotlight, plus he could learn from QB Matt Hasselbeck who when healthy is one of the NFC's best QB's. On the other foot, i think Sanchez/Freeman would also be ideal for them. I Think the lions should draft sort of like this, 1. OT from Baylor (Jason Smith i think) 20. James Lauranitis or Ray Malauga(sp?) 2nd Round. Not Sure really. 3rd. Rhett Bomar
  20. To my knowledge it's been banned by AC's for a long time. i can't remeber why, but i remember them stating that it can lead to health problems if taken with in a certain period of the fight, like heart/breathing problems, i'm not too sure on that one though.
  21. If they redskins trade for Cutler, they should include Jason, i mean it will be worse for Denver then having Cutler, but they would still get a young proven starter. Plus then the skins might not have to trade a first/second, they could get away with a 3-5 pick. But i'm kind of shocked by the idea, everything i've heard as been about how much the QB play has improved under Zorn, so they go to get a new one? i mean i know Snyder likes to do that, but yeah i mean really.
  22. Jeff Monson picks up his second victory in ten days, with a anaconda choke over Sergej Maslobojev, in the second round. Now if he can win at dream talk about momentum. And the Steinbas vs Jensen fight was canceled after jensen told the AC he had tooken Adderal which is banned.
  23. that would make sense really, but from my understanding of reading the events, is that it was not originaly a catch=weight bout and it only became one after both missed it. Thats what has been going around anyways. Stephens and Tibau are both pretty big LW's, i would think that alongside Maynard and Sherk they are the biggest LW in the UFC ATM.
  24. I wonder who he'll end up with? i'm thinking San Francisco might take a shot since they are reportedly not intrested in Matthew Stafford. Also The Lions and Tampa along with The Jets figure to go hard after him. I think The Lions, should trade their first round pick to get Cutler. I think he's a safer bet then anyone they could draft.
  25. Can you believe 20/22 fighters fighting tommorow made weight successfuly, and the only two who missed it where in the same fight? Glesion Tibau (156.5) and Jeremy Stephens (158) so now it's a 158 lb catch-wieght fight. i can't remeber the last time if it's ever happened in the UFC where both fighters missed the weight.
