  1. A big deal for the man and a dog watching at the actual events and on TV? The games are a mess. The latest thing to happen: a scoreboard has fallen down somewhere.
  2. Yeah, I heard that too, HOWEVER ... :lmao: That would be sensational.
  3. Well he is certainly confident in his ability. I hope he succeeds as it would look good on the club and Joe Roach who has been incredible for us over the years in terms of blooding young players and securing our financial and on the pitch future. I just don't see him getting many games and he'll end up at square one or below by this time next year.
  4. Stock is pure class. One of the players I miss most if I am honest. Until recently with Bartley and Robinson, we struggled to replace his impact in the middle of the field. Hayts is a legend too. Still watches our games when he can apparently.
  5. I agree, it's still a shame though. Pitman has real potential and was improving at a rapid rate under Howe and Tindall. I think it's a move too early for him in all honesty. A bit like Sam Vokes, whose career has gone downhill since leaving, though that had to happen as we'd have gone to the wall without the money. Still though, the money gained can go toward paying for Pugh, paying some debt off and potentially securing another couple of players in January if they are needed. Wait and see I guess.
  6. Can't believe Pitman is off. Another bright talent we have brought through and sold on. Good record but what could have been had he stayed.
  7. Bit of a mixed week. Great 5-1 win and now selling our star striker. Hope it does not set us back. We have good options besides. Stockley is a good young guy coming through and we have Symes as well as Fletcher and Lovell. Once again we bred a guy for bigger and better things. Not many clubs with the track record we have. Then again, they don't all go great guns when they leave. See John Spicer and Sam Vokes.
  8. Jimmy Quinn. My god, he wrecked this club. An awful man manager who could not motivate the players AT ALL. Such a vast change from Eddie Howe, a man that has every player playing for him and the team top of the league, 4 points clear with a transfer embargo in place.
  9. In other more important news, my much loved AFC Bournemouth are top of League Two with a transfer embargo, a assistant manager regulary making up a 3 or 4 man bench and being without our captain, our vice-captain and our vice, vice-captain for most of the season. Fun. Next on our hitlist: Darlington. You're going down Windass, you'll regret biting off part of Marcus Browning's ear! (yes, that did actually happen)
  10. Jimmy really is in the form of his life. Also, I like Broad, but its time for a rest. He needs to be dropped so he can go away and get better at Notts, bring in someone like Harmison who is in good form for the final two tests.
  11. Oh god, it's going to be his show now. This will be interesting in Valencia and turn annoying shortly thereafter. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of his.
  12. Massa got struck by a spring from the back of Barichello's car, it came back and struck him on the side of the helmet, he was knocked out and ran straight into the wall of tyres. At first everyone thought it was brake failure.
  13. As well as the Skull Fracture, he also had a brain concussion. I'm not doctor, but that could maybe lead to something like that, or similar. The worrying thing for everyone is the fact things have changed. It's gone from 'he will be ok, but he will recover overnight' to 'he is in a life threatening condition and he will be assessed over the next few hours'. That is always the sign that something is not right.
  14. The latest on Massa is he has had surgery but is in a life threatening condition.
  15. Np, it was not. Ferrari have released a statement confirming a fractured skull, a brain concussion and deep gash on his head, all need to be operated on. Obviously, he is not racing tomorrow. It's pretty serious. Everyone seems to be tight lipped, which continues to feudl speculation its a lot worse than speculated. It was a really bad impact.
  16. Ferrari confirmed that Massa has a Fractured Skull and needs an operation, and also has bad concussion. I also heard he suffered a broken leg in the crash. Anyone that saw a replay of when the thing hit him and the pictures will know he's lucky to be alive, certainly did not look like much, it simply looked like brake failure at the time. Just shows still how dangerous this sport is, despite all the saftey enforcements that have come into play over the years. Get well soon Felipe.
  17. It is weird Paris spoke after all this time, but good. She, and her two brothers can't be sheilded forever, and the family knows that by letting them up there. It was clear Jackson was paronoid and very protective, and they were too. Jermaine, Latoya and Janet especially. I don't think they were forced up there, and the way the little girl handled herself before she spoke was brilliant. I'd be crying buckets if it was my dad. The two boys on the other hand, they looked truely devestated all the way through. The youngest one was in tears and Michael II OR III was just standing there looking directly ahead with no emotion WHATSOEVER. A great service though, some touching speeches and songs. Funnily enough, Jennifer Hudson was one of, if not THE best. That Saheen kid is very good, and was good tonight, but would have been better had they not drowned him out with that HUGE backing. It shows the lad has talent when Jackson personally chose him to back him at the shows, that is quite some achievement.
  18. I'm glad I did not buy tickets to the o2 arena, despite being offered some. But in all seriousness, never good to see any celebrity in this way, or any person indeed. This would be shocking if he did die though, he's without a doubt the biggest pop star ever to live. Now they're saying he is being operated on and he maybe even died at one point. Meh.
  19. If I were a Wigan fan (are there actually any Wigan fans?), I'd be begging Whelan to do all he can to get Martinez. He's one of the young managers I actually think has what it takes to do well at the top level, a bit like Zola. He's also got very good contacts, proved by the players he brought into Swanseas team.
  20. That's a valid, and quite brilliant point.
  21. To be fair to Sheffield United, they don't deserve anything of the sort. Do have to laugh that its twice that sort of thing has happened. On a related note, I expect Simon Jordan to complain soon enough about the 'unneeded' point deduction. The guy always makes me laugh, the most arrogant son of a bitch around without doing much for the club.
  22. I'd sell my soul for 73k a year, let alone nearly treble that in a week.
  23. Never liked the guy, he took a bite out of our midfielders ear. Was funny, but still. No one abuses an AFC Bournemouth player.
  24. Seems the signing of Kaka is close. Can't help thinking Madrid will regret it. He's a good player, world class maybe, but when faced with the option of who to buy, I'd rather go all out and get that Christiano Ronaldo fella. Hell, if they have the money to spend that is being suggested, they may get Ronaldo too.
