I can't think of any worse defensive players to be honest. Both have particularly large salaries too, and we need to cut those down. With Ridgewell breaking into the first team, it gives us some cover too. And we're after some new signings and loan deals, so, I'm sure we'll end up with those spaces covered. Not to mention, Dion's been playing in the reserves most of the season.

Dion Dublin and Ronny Johnson have been released, and will not be at the club next season. I saw this coming, both have done well this season when they played, and I'm slightly surprised at the release of Ronny, he's played well this season. And Dion leaving was expected, but, he's been great for the club for years.

I saw a TV version awhile ago, it was TERRIBLE. The book, however, is brilliant.

YES. It SO WOULD. ← I love you so much more than ever before. The storyline of Eden beats any other game in it's genre. I drool over the thoughts of a movie, too bad there's like.. no chance of it happening. Not to mention, the game itself is amazing.

Spartan And, not a book, but a computer game that would make an awesome film, would be Project Eden.

I was thinking the same thing. He'd be a useful addition, and seeing as he'd be free, we could get him ontop of any other players we're after. His wages could be a hurdle, however.

We're after Robert Huth on a 12 month loan, and I haven't heard much else, but O'Leary wants 4 players. Mellberg signed a new 4 year contract today, Hitzlesperger, Angel, Barry and De La Cruz are all discussing new contracts. EDIT: I almost forgot, Tal Ben Haim - an Israeli internation defender - is currently over here training with the squad, aiming to get a contract.

You haven't read that book yet, so, shoo. I could highly imagine Villa going far in Europe. We have a good team, with some good signings coming in. In competitions like Europe, it can all go down to being lucky. Newcastle have a squad much more suited for European competition, and it's something Newcastle should be doing. This season, getting a spot in Europe for us is just a bonus, remember, we're trying to avoid relegation this season. ; )

I agree, kind of. Arsenal are the champions of this season. But, United are still the reigning champions, in a way. Although, they have already lost it.

You actually said "Meanwhile" meaning.. "So now". I also live near my club's stadium, wonderful, isn't it? And yes, Leeds ARE relegated. BUT, they're still in the premiership right now. Arsenal will be champions, and that's so deserved, but United are still reigning champions until the end of the season.

Christian Ziege and Gustavo Poyet are pretty good talents. I hope O'Leary and Ellis consider him. We need some depth.
