  1. McIlroy will win, Hamilton a distant second.
  2. James Allison is going to have to come up with a great chassis because I've got very little confidence in Ferrari making their power unit any stronger. To be honest, I think it's all a little bit futile, Mercedes should control next season aswell.
  3. Hamilton certainly deserved this title with his pace on Sundays. Rosberg was very impressive in qualifying though and hopefully Williams, Alonso and Ricciardo can shake things up a bit next season.
  4. Does Yacob really think you are allowed to tackle like that?
  5. Disrespectful to Piquet? Are you serious?! He'd just battled his team-mate for 71 laps and Piquet (seemingly drunk) didn't ask him about the race, only Nicole! Piquet should have been asking about the spin, Nico stopping Lewis' run of wins, or Abu Dhabi, not his girlfriend!
  6. So, Nico Rosberg finally keeps Lewis Hamilton behind in a race and heads to Abu Dhabi 17pts behind. Hamilton probably had the win in his grasp though before a spin down at T4 changed all that. In Abu Dhabi, Hamilton just needs to finish 2nd to win the WDC. Assuming his car makes the chequered flag without incident, that should be fairly straight forward.
  7. Ericsson has looked better at the right time in the season. Apparently in Singapore they made a major set up change that helped him. I still think that Nasr will have the measure of him next season though, even if they are still fighting towards the back of the grid.
  8. Marussia will also miss the Brazilian GP. Wonder what will happen with Q1 in Austin? There will only be 18 cars taking part, maybe even 17 if the Vettel/Pitlane start stuff turns out to be true. Will they just eliminate one or two cars in Q1? Or will they split it with Q2?
  9. Victor Valdes is training with Manchester United. Bit strange, IMO, especially as he's been linked with Liverpool.
  10. Yeah, Pirelli will learn from this obviously and hopefully next years race will be more exciting. I wouldn't mind another night/twilight race either.
  11. So yeah, not a great race. Mercedes finally wrap up the WCC though and Hamilton extends his championship lead to 17pts. Good recovery by Rosberg but it was his own fault that he ended up in that situation anyway.
  12. I saw that as part of a mobile phone video earlier and it's even worse at full speed. Watching the race, I thought a safety car would come out and even said to my Dad - "If someone has gone of these, another could easily follow him in." I never actually believed it would end that badly though.
  13. My god, Newcastle looked bad at the back. Very bad indeed. Like, Bramble and Boumsong levels of bad.
  14. We'll probably see Prost vs. Senna at some point which will be slightly surreal. I'm actually looking forward to this, it's something different.
  15. This is going to be chaos.
  16. I really enjoyed the race yesterday, especially the drives by Ricciardo, Perez and Kvyat. At the front, it was a really good recovery by Lewis although I was extremely surprised to see Massa give him so much room at the first chicane. I guess Felipe knew he had third place all sewn up and there was no point fighting with Lewis and losing them both time. Nico looked second best all weekend but I'm sure he'll be closer to Hamilton in Singapore.
  17. Surely the Welbeck deal will go through as soon as the Falcao one does. Not even we would let Welbeck go without getting the Falcao deal over the line, right?! Welbeck and Hernandez out with Falcao in? If his knee holds out, I'm fairly happy with that. Would have liked Hernandez to stay and get a decent run in the side but that was never going to happen. Welbeck going doesn't bother me that much and Blind coming in is good news. Still wanted a new CB and another central midfielder but hopefully we can stay out of the bottom three and pick up them in January (). Is Strootman still injured? LVG could go for him in January.
  18. Falcao coming in is a big surprise but with Hernandez gone, RVP possibly injured and Welbeck being Welbeck, it's hard not to get excited by his arrival. Rojo, Jones, Shaw and Rafael wouldn't be that bad of a back four. But if LVG wants five at the back, I'd really want someone else to come in at CB. I know Smalling and Evans are there but still ... Oh and a holding midfielder would always be welcome.
  19. World class save by Courtois. Magnificent touch onto the post.
  20. Tell me about it. I remember 5-0 in 2000 but this could be worse.
