  1. Depends if you think he was fouled for the third?
  2. Chile and Australia will struggle to top that. [/understatement]
  3. I agree, but I still think Reina would start over De Gea. This is not the time for De Gea to come in. Wait until after the World Cup and give him the qualifying games for Euro 2016. He's made a howler tonight but two good saves from Casillas there.
  4. Incredible. And I'd have thought Reina would start before De Gea.
  5. Having seen it again, I think it's a foul on Casillas. Van Persie takes his eyes off the ball and just jumps into Iker as he goes up for the ball.
  6. Oh my. Van Persie thought it was a foul because he didn't even celebrate.
  7. Surprise, surprise, Diego Costa is a dick.
  8. They've painted the pitch?! Oh god.
  9. Makes the save by Cillessen from Silva even better.
  10. Not a penalty for me. But still, 1-0 to Spain. It looked as if Vrij missed and then Costa flung his left leg out, trod on Vrij's calf and hurled himself to the floor. However, once the referee has given the penalty, how does Vrij get away without a card?
  11. 12 minutes in and I've already switched it over. I hate ITV.
  12. Chilton isn't as bad as he was last season. This year, Ericsson is worse.
  13. Not as lucky as Rosberg at the minute Cracking race. Really happy for Ricciardo and Rosberg was extremely fortunate to come away with 18 points. His saving grace was Perez because Vettel and Massa both had the pace to knock him off the podium. That's now 2-0 in the DNF column in the Mercedes garage and that makes a huge difference. Hamilton now has to win in Austria and Silverstone to get things interesting once again.
  14. Rosberg out-qualifies Hamilton in Canada. Extremely impressive and should make for a great race tomorrow.
  15. If you played for Villa, you'd be angry aswell.
  16. During that eighth round, I thought Groves was about to make it 4-4 and then dat punch! I thought the first fight was better but I'm glad there wasn't any controversy this time.
  17. He didn't say anything though. His team-mate was the reason he didn't get his final lap in, how would you feel?
  18. Turn 1 could be interesting, will Ricciardo get amongst them or just sit back and wait for the inevitable incident. In the last four races, Lewis has started well while Rosberg has struggled. If that happens tomorrow, Lewis could take P1 and this might all be forgotten.
  19. No need for the inverted commas there, as they pointed out on Sky F1 Rosberg actually moved the car past the point that would have guaranteed yellow flags. Also, Hamilton's aborted lap was actually slower than Nico's pole lap up to the point where Hamilton had to abandon his run. Sadly I have a horrible feeling that the stewards will once again intervene and Hamilton will be given the pole anyway. It'll be interesting to see the reaction on Sky if that does happen as they were calling Rosberg's victory "a hollow pole". Surely if Hamilton starts on pole tomorrow despite not actually being the fastest car then that's no less hollow? Nico was 1.5 tenths down on his best lap while Lewis was 2 tenths up with his strongest sector to come. I don't believe that Nico did it deliberately but Lewis obviously does and that could make T1 interesting, providing Nico keeps pole. It actually looks as if Rosberg is under investigation because he reversed back out of the escape road as Lewis was approaching on his hot-lap. If that is the case, then he probably should be penalised. There was no time left in the session and so he should have waited until everyone had passed before reversing out. I still don't think that the initial 'mistake' was deliberate though.
  20. Meh, really hope he's not still first choice though. Would be an experienced back up but I'd rather see Shaw come in and start the season. In other news, Lampard has been released by Chelsea.
  21. Neil Adams is the new Norwich manager, having been given a three-year deal. So Mackay to Celtic and Lennon to WBA?
  22. Three-time Formula One World Champion, Jack Brabham, has died aged 88.
