  1. £16m for Phil Jones is an absolute bargain btw, id recommend him to anyone

So it was you who had a word with Fergie!

They're not sniffing around already are they? Time for a salary cap on the 25 man squad me thinks...

    Sniffing around?

He's already having a medical at OT.

Christ, don't read football news for 2 days and you miss too much.

  2. Pato for £13m is really good. i got knocked back for £30m on my game.

I was surprised too, I made an enquiry about him and got stated £15.75m, I cheekily knocked it down to £12m and they went to £13m, so happy with that. £16m for Phil Jones is an absolute bargain btw, id recommend him to anyone, same as De Jong for £3.5m who's replaced Kompany as the anchor man.

  3. (More random posts from me as I stall before going to bed)

I just found a whole bunch of 17/18 year old regens who are all 6'9" (207cm) tall and weigh 17 stone (238lb / 108kg).

I don't care if they're any good or not. I'm going to sign them all and amass an army of behemoths to (literally) CRUSH all opposition in the U18 league. Muahahaha.

Sure theyre all not rugby union second rowers? if they ever bring line-outs to football you're sorted.

Into my 3rd season with Liverpool now (5th in all)

    These are my signings

    Phil Jones (22) - Blackburn - £16m

    Nigel De Jong (29) - Man City - £3.5m

    Lee Wallace (28) - Sunderland - £7.5m

    Junior Stanislas (24) - West Ham - £13m

    Pato - AC Milan (25) - £13m

And a host of regens for the U18's/Reserve/Middlesbrough/Accrington/Genk

    Total Spending : £75m

    Outwardly going are

Luis Saurez - Atletico - £22m (The little bastard)

    Alberto Aquilani - Wolfsburg - £4m

    Daniel Pacheco - Reading - £3m

    Emiliano Insua - Hoffenheim - £10m

    Pierrick Cros - Dortmund - £3m

    Vincent Kompany - Juventus - £2.5m

Thiago - Wolfsburg - Loan £1m (with option to buy £3.5m)

Richard Saunders - Wolves - 55k This is an achievement of mine for this game, Saunders is the first guy to come through my academy who I've been able to bring up to a decent enough standard for Premiership Football in future, sold him on because he's got a better chance of first team football at Wolverhampton.

Jorge (Regen) - Raith - £2m (edited Scottish leagues, TV deal is almost equal to that of the Premiership, so clubs have better spending power)

    Income : £52m

  4. Any more details on this mega-dollar TV deal for the NRL? expanding to 18 teams and a rise in salary cap to $7m, thats a helluva lot of cash to throw around. Shame there's hardly anybody in S15 who could step up to the NRL.

  5. When FIFA had their slump (personal opinion there) from 2003-2007, I went to PES, but got frustrated with the matches ending 7-6 and left with a 5-a-side match with the amount of red cards. I havent played it for ages, can someone tell me if this is still and issue?

Minor grievances also include, TIM's, Lack of licensed teams and leagues and Mark Lawrenson.

Lawro's gone now, thank fuck. He was replaced by Jim Beglin for 2011. If they were to freshen the commentary up this year, adding plenty of new lines, it could be great. The commentary is something I don't expect them to focus a great deal on though, sadly.

Thank Fuck, and an ex-Leeds player n'all.

Didn't enjoy the tashy one saying I should be sacked for not using my 3 subs at half time.

  6. Personally, my wishlist for this game is to have Cole/Tazz on commentary like they were on HCTP or the 3rd one (JBI?)

'TAZZ! is the best-wrestler-in THE WWF!!! Tazz is a jerk, I hate The Tazz'

Then 'I agree Tazz' from Michael Cole, glorious days.

  7. Looks impressive, still need to figure out and master the contact side of the game from 11 as my players are usually as strong as a fart in a wind storm.

    Trailer looks good, though.

  9. Is it a conspiracy? I get a penalty and the ref gets slammed in the media afterwards, I concede a penalty, all is fine, I have penalty turned down, all is fine, opposition have a penalty turned down... ref gets slated again!

    ITS A C-O-N... o_O SPIRACY!!!

  10. One thing that annoys me.. Chelsea sack Van Gaal for leading them to a 6th place finish. Terrible league showing. Then Fergie retires. So they hire van Gaal. This is literally like... 6 days game time passing. Seriously? Stupid appointment.

Its a merry go round, Wenger left Arsenal for Real, now back at Arsenal after a brief sting out of management.

David Moyes is now Spurs manager and doing a bang on job of it.

Mike Phelan was seen as the natural replacement for one of the best managers these idles have ever produced... sour now cause he's on verge on sack.

man city manager... jose mourinho, after roberto mancini got the england job...

I'm in January 2014 to boot.

  11. Starting to concede really sloppy goals now...a shot will come in and the keeper will parry it, it'll bounce around and ALWAYS end up in the back of my net, about a 3rd of goals conceded are scored this way, another 3rd is Danns acting like a pillock and just watching the man run straight past him.

  12. I play a kind of lopsided 4-4-2. Something like this -

    Cech

    Diego Renan - - Terry - - David Luiz - - Cole

    ---- --------- Essien

    Cazorla - - Lampard ---------------------------

    ------------------ ----- - - - - - - Kroos

    Torres - - Neymar

I adapted it because there was something not quite right about my usual 4-4-2 formation. I shifted Kroos up the park to play as inside forward, which has worked wonders, and I put Essien back a bit on purely defensive duties to compensate. Happily this has also stopped my previous problem of Essien taking dreadful long shots.

Well done on making an asymmetrical formation work for you, never had much long term success with them... the best formations are the ones that lend themselves to more than 1 formation.

Yours is a mix of 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 with Kroos out-wide, Like it alot.
