  1. I don't want him back, he can stay in Union the bastard. Not heard any rumours on that though myself.

The only reason id want him on an RL pitch again is to see him get smashed... the man has got as much dignity as i have cash...

  2. Glad to see an RL thread on these boards...

Pat Richards resigning ia a fantastic bbost for the Warriors after the disappointment of mcguire leaving. especially well done to retain.him with the lure of rfu money comes a knocking.

wasn't there a rumour going round that if wane became head coach, everybodies favourite convert chris ashton would come back?

  3. Its not that hard, although, its very timeconsuming, i did all the leagues and prize money individually before ranking clubs on broad criteria on reputation, ground, average attendance and academy.

Took me a train journey from Leeds to Liverpool to put all the teams in the right division.

This year I've just merged 4 Scottish leagues into 2, much easier

  4. The Irish League is wonderfully crap to a realistic level. It used to be that Shelbourne and Bohemians would dominate. But in real life Shelbourne, Drogheda and Derry have all declined. Cork have gone bust and reformed and Shamrock Rovers have had a revival. So now in game Bohs and Rovers are the best teams, but because of the shitty finances the clubs can't seem to afford to hold onto players for very long and easily decline. Galway United's promotion to the Premier League, Premier League win and relegation back to the first division consecutive seasons was the best.

One year, I merged Scotland, Ireland, N.Ireland and Wales (and 2 clubs from Faroe Islands to make up the numbers) to form a new pyramid system with the Celtic Premier League at the top... Soon took over the EPL and was quiet strange seeing Galway outbidding Man United and within 5 years, ageing players such as Gerrard, Lampard, Berbatov and Parker all moved to Celtic clubs... the plan was to improve the standard of all 5 international teams... only Faroe Island improved. Plan Failed :(

  5. Does anyone else curse out the room when the bastards are incessant with one question? I had them ask me the same question three times. After declining to comment the first two, on the third time I answered, "Go on and fucking ask me again. I'll bash ya' head in." and the press conference was over.-_-

I get fucked off after games where you've had 2 players hacked down and injured for several months, had 7 yellow booking cards, 2 red match-ejection cards, a penalty turned down and 2 goals ruled out for offside and the only question you get asked is 'Do you feel the referee made the right call not to award a penalty by the foul by your centre back?', get fucked knob head.

I fucking hate playing at Old Trafford

  6. So what you're saying is that the FA ban me on the basis of a print report and not the actual footage of the post-match interview that was readily available to them?

...That doess sound like them. :shifty:

Well, yeah, unfortunately its not a full simulation, so watching out for the devious little fucks is part of the game... I don't know if this is true or part of some FM Folk Myth, but if you back referees in their decisions for and against you (and rightly and wrongly), you start to get more 50/50 decisions your way.

  7. What the fuck.

In my post-match interview I was asked about Charlie Adam's red card, and I chose the second reply, which was something like "I thought it was a bit harsh, if I'm honest." I figured this was a sort of semi-supportive answer. A bit like that answer to another question where you say that you don't think he meant any harm, he's not that kind of player etc.

Apparently in doing this I "reacted angrily" to the sending off and have received a touchline ban for my League Cup quarter final against United! o_O

Edit: 1-0 down after 58 seconds...

Look at the reporters personality... they can twist your answers.

  8. I quit Liverpool after 5 seasons and now I can't get a job anywhere because my wage demands are too high. Obviously, I don't care about the in-game wages but the negotiation screen won't let me lower my demands.

    Anyone else experienced this before?

Not really, Never been able to lower my wage demands though.

It might ruin the fun for you, but you may have to use FMRTE to lower it yourself.

  9. Yeah, just won the Champions League. So four trophies in the first season. Might see how the start goes, and then maybe look to head on.

Exactly what I did. Even after finally getting dragged down with The Hammers I didn't regret leaving Arsenal. Rebuilding them was a fun pre-season, lost almost everyone and made loads of signings (on barely any budget, may I add). Including a whole new reserve team made up of 21 year olds and younger on free signings.

Just say 'all there was left was me, Gary Kelly and the tealady' and you'll be full Kevin Blackwell :w00t:

  10. If I win in the Champions League final, does that mean I've essentially won the game, and can stop playing? >_>

I get like this, no matter how much I try to convince myself not to. I imagine if I reach that point with Forest however many seasons down the line, I'll start keeping an eye out for another club.

Hopefully by that point Chelsea will have imploded and I can build them up again.

Clubs that implode from memory (IE, those that have become wank in 2018 from previous games)

    Aston Villa (Lerner dropped out)

Liverpool (Become the new West Brom, bobbing in and out of the prem over a number of years)

    Tottenham

    and Arsenal become midtable...

If you want a club with 'potential' over 10 years, Bradford City raced up the league tables in 2 of my games...

  11. I started with Villa, Randy Lerners a tight arse, Lined up 40m worth of signings which would have put the team in the next level, but lerner wouldn't release the funds so had to watch them sign for Arsenal, Man United, Man Citeh and the like. This.is after i fucked off an offer from Real, they appointed Wenger so got.offered Arsenal.job.

Now with Liverpool enjoyin a decent start.

    get playin pal

  12. Anyone got a solution to this problem; I have Torres up front with Gerrard just behind him, theres plenty of goals, but defensively its very weak as Torres and Gerrard try and occupy the same spot on the pitch (2D view, bang on top of each other), so if the ball goes free its like defending with 9 outfield players.

Torres is Complete Striker/Support with mentality dropped to normal on 10 notches (in the middle) Run From Deep often

Gerrard is Attacking Midfielder/Attack RFD rarely

I'm thinking of changing both their wide play to 'move into channels'

    any suggestions?

  13. My Tottenham world is falling apart. A new consortium (lead by JOSH JACKSON!?!?) is trying to take over and wants to replace me with Jose Q. Nobody...then my surprise packet striker wants to quit..then my 45 million quid acquisitiion Marek Hamsik packs it in and wants to leave after just one season...

I signed Hulk for Villa... he did the same, wanker. Worst £18m ever.

Joined Liverpool in the off-season between 2nd and 3rd season. Luis Suarez, Dirk Kuyt and Fernando Torres front 3 = goals (Y)
