UCLA may have a great running game, but USC's defense will have them shut down by the second quarter. We'll probably see USC's defense go in unprepared and get scored on once or twice in the first, make some adjustments for the second quarter, and shut them down.

To be honest, I'm not sure how half of these Top 25 teams got there. Sure, Georgia and West Virginia are good -- Georgia will probably be National Champions if they don't have to play USC -- but where the hell did they come from? Last year, Georgia wasn't even in the Top 25 were they? If they were, my mistake. But half these teams don't deserve to be in the top 25.

South Carolina should tear Alabama up today. If LSU can't make a comeback, they're virtually out of the National Championship and I see it going to USC/Georgia granted there isn't an upset later in the season.

Escaped? They dominated the fourth quarter and won the game with ease, really. Sure, it was only by a field goal, but the second half was all USC when Stanford's offense floundered and failed to capitalize on the lead. I am by no means a huge USC fan, but they surely didn't escape a lose to Stanford.

Doubtful, but you never know. Adam can always fake a lawsuit by the WWE if they don't, like several other sims have done.

The big games of today: Georgia 20, South Carolina 16 Notre Dame 28, Michigan 20 Ohio St. 24, Marshall 21 Texas 22, Arkansas 20 Glad to see Texas getting the win over Arkansas. Georgia/USC was a really close game, but I was hoping the Gamecocks would pull it out. LSU killed Arkansas St. to make up for last week and Ohio State got the win over Marshall, BARELY. This is going to be the year of 'near upsets.'

I had some free time the other day and read most of Cellblock, IIRC. Not sure of the title, but it's about a black man and a white man who are put in a cell together to see how integration works at the Georgia State Prison. They become friends, of course, and put together a basketball team before both are released. That's as far as I got.

Texas/Arkansas was a clusterfuck to start. I'd look away from the television and then Texas would have a touchdown and a safety. And just now, Arkansas scored. Come on, Texas! Bama's putting the whooping on Ole Miss as of right now. Ohio State beating Marshall sucks ass, since I HATE OSU with a fucking passion.

Auburn's putting the whooping on Mississippi State right now, 21-0. I'm not really watching the other games, as it's nothing overly important. Miami beating FSU sucks big time, as we dominated nearly the entire game.

Fairhope Pirates We beat Theodore two weeks ago 25-0, lost to Daphne last week 28-0, and beat Robertsdale tonight. We're in the 6A Division and went to the quarter-finals in State last year so we're pretty successful. Our biggest rival is Daphne, who were State Champs in 2001 and are always good, though our middle school team (my brother plays for them at RT & RG) beat their middle school team 12-2 last night.

Of course not, they're black!

I'm going to the FSU/Miami game so it's all good on my part. Rix is nowhere near the best, but Bowden has told everybody that he has improved drastically over the summer so we'll just have to see when he plays. Also, did anyone hear about Bowden's grandson dying in Hurricane Frances?

The real sad part is that Blitz actually thought it could be real.
