The thing about James Bond is, that the actor whose portrayal is closest to the novels is Timothy Dalton. Despite his two films being amongst the worst. (LICENSE TO KILL was more or less a generic revenge action flick with Bind shoehorned in)

And sorry, but anyone who doesn't have Connery as one of their top two is insane.

    1.Connery

    2. Brosnan

    3. Moore

    4. Dalton

    5. Craig

    6. Lazenby

Moore played the part for about two films longer than he should have, and Dalton had the misfortune of having lousy scripts but did a damn fine acting job, regardless. May be hypocritical to have him ranked higher than Craig when my reasoning for Lazenby being so low is that he only did one film, but Craig is not a great Bond. (I wish they had gone with Clive Owen, instead.)

Goldeneye is the only Bond film I saw in a theater, by the way.

I actually love both of Dalton's films, but I guess I'm in the minority. I wouldn't rank either one in the bottom of the pile, but that's just me.

  2. Live and let die is still awesome, yeah, it's over the top, and there's lots of things that are products of it's time, but I still enjoy it. It's my favorite of Moore's Bond films after The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only.

  3. I'd rather have Anaheim over Ottawa any day, Ottawa is just so boring to watch, imo. But if I had to bet, I would definitely go with the winner in the west winning the cup. Normally I'd say Pittsburgh would win it, but they're so banged up at this point, and I don't see Ottawa beating Nashville or Anaheim.

I'm glad the Pens won last night, hopefully they're able to win two more and win the series, but man, it's getting hard to watch these guys drop like flies with all the injuries. Feel bad for MAF getting pulled, cause it wasn't on him, but man, I love having Murray in net, the kid is just so damn calm out there.

  4. Nashville is winning the cup this year imo. Unless they suffer big injuries or something, I don't see Anaheim or Edmonton beating them, and I don't see any of the teams in the east doing it either.

Hope the Pens pull it of tomorrow, can't handle a game 7, I'll probably die from stress lol.

I suspect he's hurt. Sounds like he might be on the third line in game 5 as well, adding credence to that.

Oilers blew it last night, but they also kinda got hosed. Still there is no reason why they should have blown that lead anyway.

I believe he is hurt too, he just seems slow out there. Damn, I went to bee early and missed the ending of the Oilers game, but looks like one of the goals shouldn't have counted, but hey, referees are inconsistent as hell on what is goaltender interference.

Yes, Niskanen deserves a penalty for not being responsible for his stick.  Wasn't there a penalty called? That was not a suspension worthy penalty when Niskanen didn't go out of his way to hit Crosby.   The entire play happened on a penalty not called on Ovechkin, not because of an intent from Niskanen.  It sucks that Crosby has a concussion now, but Niskanen only got his hands / stick up when Crosby crossed his path, changing directions.  From what I've seen from the twitter hockey media, excluding Button and Cherry, most weren't calling for Niskanen to be suspended, most are upset on what Ovechkin did - whacking somebody from behind like that.

Penguins radio network host, Metzer, said "Without Ovechkin's stick work there is no Niskanen hit".

Only a 3rd of NHL coaches and GM surveyed said they would give Niskanen a 1 game suspension, while the others said no suspension.

I think it's unfortunate that Crosby got injured here, but I don't see this being a suspension type play from Niskanen.

The intent might not have been to injure him, but it happened, Crosby has a concussion as a result of Niskanen's hit, he should be held accountable. He could have eased up and not hit Crosby like that, but he didn't, imo he should be suspended for the series.

Suspended for that? Niskanen barely did anything on that and was put in an unfortunate position of having to protect himself from Crosby colliding with him.  This all happens because of Ovechkin.  He whacked Crosby across the back and brings his stick back against Crosby's head as their skates touch, that put Crosby off balance and changed where he was skating. If you slow it down, it's almost Ovechkin's hit the head that Crosby's body reacted to the most.   I don't think there's any reason to suspend Niskanen.

Niskanen should have been responsible for his stick, and he clearly drove it into Crosby's head, whether there was intent or not, he did it, Crosby is hurt, probably done for the series, he should be held accountable. Ovechkin should have been given a penalty too.

It's a disgrace there's no punishment on the hit and Pittsburgh probably will lose the series because of dirty shit like that. I almost wish someone would injure someone important on their team "accidentally" and see what would happen.

  8. I read that Crosby was back at the arena and told a worker there he was ok, hopefully he's ok and it was a precaution, but fuck the Caps, Niskanen should be suspended if Crosby is injured. Only way the Caps can win is to play dirty, and with no Crosby, I don't see the Pens winning this.

I think at this point the Capitals don't believe they can do it, that they're forever destined to lose to Crosby and the Pens.

I hope they're broken like that, expecting them to take it tonight and Pittsburgh to take the next one, though, if the Pens go up 3-0, it's over.

  10. Even as a Penguins fanboy, I did not see us being up 2-0 so far, Fleury has been unbelievable, but man they really need to tighten up, at this point, all they have to do is win one out of the next two and they got this one in the bag.

Crazy game between the Sens and Rangers yesterday too.

  11. I think it's a toss up between Nashville and St Louis, I'm gonna go with Nashville, cause the Blues can't just rely on goaltending. But my pick for the west is definitely Anaheim.

Hoping my Pens make it out of the East, or at least don't lose to the chokers in the 2nd, but no Murray and Letang, don't know how they pull it off.

  12. Sharks blow it again, geez, honestly, I thought they were gonna outclass the Oilers and give them a good lesson during the playoffs (kinda like Sid's first playoff v Ottawa), but they just looked tired out there. That OT effort in game 5 was pathetic.

Shocked to see Montreal gone so soon, had them going to the ECF, looks like it'll be NY against Washington, maybe Pittsburgh.

I'm a huge Penguins fan, but the Montreal series is much better hockey. I'm thinking that either the Rangers or the Habs are going to the Cup finals. The Caps and Penguins are not playing the level of hockey that New York and Montreal are. It's very obvious that Pittsburgh just can't compete with the weak defense they have.

I think they can beat both, last two games have been ugly, but I'm sure they beat Columbus tomorrow, and if we get Murray soon, goaltending isn't a big concern.

Rangers defense is horrible, and Lundqvuist has been horrible against the Pens. Montreal is more challenging, but I wouldn't expect them to beat Pittsburgh either, they just don't have the depth we have, and if Weber slows down like he did last year, they're in trouble.

It doesn't help the Caps when literally every interview involves asking them about their legacy as the ultimate chokers. Even if they're not thinking about it, the media is making them think about it.

Shocked that the Blackhawks are basically toast, doubly so the Wild. Thinking we're looking at Anaheim-St. Louis and Pittsburgh-Montreal as our conference finals.

Most shocking is the Caps players saying they're not in the right mindset, etc, like, really? What is it with that team that they fail year after year to get prepared for the playoffs?

Sucks the Pens lost tonight, but I wasn't expecting a sweep anyway. Hoping they finish it in Pittsburgh.

Looking forward to tomorrow, cheering for the Leafs to get that 3-1 lead.
