Four wins in five for the Lions - feeling good about this team!
  2. He was the only player in the squad without game BECAUSE they used the last group game to play everyone else.

I think this is where I am. We hung in til the very end against a top side, and on another day we could have even won it. Hopefully we can get back on track vs the Jags.
  6. Man, if Canada had an actual striker they would get loads of goals.
  7. Why couldn't the Head Coaches wear the armbands instead, if its to do with getting a booking? Heck, I want Southgate to wear a rainbow colour waistcoat.
  8. Most people (and bookies) have them as either favourites or second favourites (behind Brazil). Lowest I've seen at all is 3rd favs (also behind France). I think you're severely underating their squad, and ignoring the undefeated streak they were on. Prior to yesterday, their last defeat was to Brazil - in July 2019. They had also had 5 clean sheets on the bounces, only conceded 2 goals in their previous 15 games and had last conceded multiple goals in a game 23 games prior.
  9. Their forwards alone play for Man City, PSG, Juventus, Athletico, Roma and Inter...
  10. One of the greatest upsets and performances in football history. Nothing less than that, and fully deserved.
  11. Been reading up on it. It's a deliberate thing that started with the Russia WC and hey've gone even more in on it with this one - they want to cover all wasteage of time for stopped play, including things like goal celebrations, substitutions, the gaps before kicks that restart play, etc on top of injuries. Sounds like it has been loosely estimated in the past and this is them religiously stopping the watch for everything.
  12. The proverbial game of two halves there. Wales too tentative in the first half and the US almost entirely a non-entity in the second (seriously, is there a more overated player - and a moaning one at that - than Pulisic?). Wales deserved the point in the end. Keifer Moore was flipping great after coming on, really gave them a spark.

Christ, when was the last time we won three-in-a-row?! I think, on the whole, we're definitely better than last year and that's the main thing with a rebuild. The Bills will still probably cream us on Thursday, but, as of today, it at least looks like we might be competitive?
  14. All this worst game ever~! stuff is nonesense really. We've had plenty of drab 0-0s over the years that were definitely tougher to watch. Yes, the second half was a none-entity, but I'd like to credit Ecuador for their professional play for that. They knew Qatar's limits and made sure that when going forward they kept defensive stability. It was boring, yes, but Ecuador showed a level of talent with it.

Have EA updated the the international squads for the WC yet? I saw they did Brazil a little while back but last I checked, no one else.
  16. Wouldn't FIFA likely be in breach of contract with Budweiser if they did?
  17. New York Jets vs New England Patriots 5 Los Angeles Rams vs New Orleans Saints 3 Las Vegas Raiders vs Denver Broncos 4 Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers 1 Dallas Cowboys vs Minnesota Vikings 2
  18. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/africa/63576021 Woop, so happy for Ndaiye to make the Senegal squad, it'll be a great experience for him and no more than he deserves on form.
