Yeah, that scene was so slice of life I wanted to go to a different barber shop

Just finished episode 3 of Luke Cage. It's starting slow in my opinion but there's a lot of seeds to make this great. It really lives up to the blaxploitation roots of the character

If someone wants to turn it into a diary they're welcome to. Main goal right now is just to build the scenario. Once the groundwork is done, if someone feels like actually writing out storylines and feuds for the board to see, bringing on the chaos of "why am I getting buried?" type posts, or developing the usernames into whole personas, that's terrific. Just not my personal goal of the project. I have a separate diary-based sign-up thread in mind for the future. No spoilers.

I feel like some of you are getting away from this part of the project. If 2 years from now I wanted to book @DatIsraeliGuy vs. @ROFF vs. @SummerGamz based on an intense conversation I see on the board, I'm probably not going to remember they're under the aliases of Jake "Punisher" Carter, Zack Ardin, and Adam Masters.

Thank to Meacon for the inspiration. I've been looking for a new project. It's been years since the last EWB scenario for EWR. Time to get this going again. We'll start with sign-ups. Your username, or some variation, is the wrestler. You are entering the game. Tron-style. Full Name (based on your EWB username) (22 characters max): Shortened Name (10 characters max): Gender: Age (18 minimum): Birth month: Heavyweight or Lightweight: Nationality: Primary Finisher + Type: Secondary Finisher + Type: Disposition: Gimmick: In-Ring and Mic Stats (250 pts to divide how you like) Brawling: Speed: Technical: Charisma: Performance Stats (120 pts to divide how you like) Stiffness: Selling: Checkboxes (2 max) High Spots, Superstar Look, Announcer, Shooting Ability, Diva, Booker, Fonz Factor, Menacing, Trainer Tag teams or stables Unless a better idea presents itself, attitude, behavior, and overness will be decided on your reputation DATA updated October 9, 2016

Keanu was a fun watch, though I don't think funny enough that I'd watch it again. The production notes on wikipedia are pretty funny. Spoilers included:

Green Lantern Rebirth is where I started. I think I've heard it's the slowburn start to the Blackest Night storyline and really taught me about everything I need to know. Also a badass story

Mjölnir with sunglasses and muscles... holding a miniature Thor. Son of a bitch. The next time someone has a hard time getting a hold of me, I'll suggest they send a raven

After reading Jason Aaron's Thor: God of Thunder for my Marvel Unlimited Book Club, I think this thread needs more panel appreciation posts. Minor spoilers for what has got to be the best scene Thor has ever had that didn't involve lightning

I'll still see it, but I'm damaged like that

I read Jeff Lemire's Animal Man, Vol. 1: The Hunt today (started it probably a month or 2 ago and forgot about it) and damn this book is crazy. I know nothing about Animal Man and by the end of the book, freaking Animal Man knows nothing about Animal Man because his whole world as he knew it is thrown into confusing chaos. But the story takes bold leaps and the art blows my mind. It far exceeded what I expected from the book and has my dying to read Vol. 2 because they start teasing where the story is going about halfway through and stop just before getting there. Example of a crazy scene

That movie looks tremendous. Although I thought it was going to turn into an Anchorman style brawl, I got vibes of Hard Ticket to Hawaii

Ready To Rumble. JIMMY KING got me interested in WCW

When the hell is season 2 of Flash coming to Netflix, God damn it!

I call myself a movie buff only when real movie buffs aren't around, because I have shamefully not seen such classics as Ben-Hur Spartacus Laurence of Arabia Psycho (seen about 15 min of it) Escape from LA / Escape from NY Amadeus Don't Be a Menace There Will Be Blood Deliverance -

I don't know if anyone continued reading Moon Knight after Warren Ellis left it, but I finished Brian Wood's subsequent run, and Cullen Benn's run after it. It was like the trauma of watching The Matrix Trilogy all over again.
