  1. I have no idea about what the correct order is, but it's definitely a question I had as well when I started rewatching. I'm halfway through season 2 right now and the show definitely holds up. The Joker episodes especially are just the best thing ever
  2. I have both but have been considering giving up Amazon Prime for a while now. The lack of monthly pay option really is my only reason for keeping it as long as I have. I end up throwing down for a year "just in case" but there's never really been a good reason to keep it other than a select few shows I watch or want to watch on their streaming: The Wire, Bored To Death, Oz, Six Feet Under, Eastbound and Down, Band of Brothers, Deadwood, The Sopranos Kenan and Kel, Invader Zim, The Angry Beavers, Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, AAAHH!! Real Monsters, All That, Superman: The Animated Series, Batman: The Animated Series, Are You Afraid of The Dark, Drunk History, Flight of the Conchords Mostly HBO or childhood favorites. But Netflix has introduced me to so freaking much and is a regular shared love for me and my friends/family/significant other
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=My5Bzf0PQhc Hives and Cyndi Lauper is the way to go
  4. I concur with Benkid. I hate procedurals and it's 90% of what my girlfriend watches. But I can stomach having to listen to 10 different carbon-copy default-formula indistinguishable re-runs under different names, because I found a show that I truly am revolted by having on in our home. 18 (and later 19) Kids and Counting. On the surface it should seem like a fascinating cultural study of an uber-fundamentalist but not-hate-filled Christian family. Instead, it's propoganda for their freaky ass cult where their kids can't hold hands with boyfriends/girlfriends until their engaged and can't kiss until they're married. I sat through a Creationist Museum episode once and wound up with a headache from clenching my teeth so hard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SsLgHr5rSk
  5. Hardest job in the world, MIRITE?
  6. Made a big collection of favorite quotes from a Reddit Thread on the topic a while ago. Spoilered for length
  7. I tried rewatching Street Sharks recently, which I remember being another passion of mine. Does not hold up. Definitely a product of it's time. Made me really regret getting this Okay, not actually me, but is JAWESOME!
  8. News Story of "A female-lead Spider-Man Movie" + success of Gotham (a Batman prequel without Batman) = Aunt May
  9. TV Power Rangers Dragon Ball Z Spider-Man The Animated Series Movies Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

    The Flash

Screw Batman. Just show me the first encounter between Cold and Freeze
  11. Watched the first episode of Peaky Blinders [Netflix] and found it really well done. Aesthetically, every seen had my attention. Some of the pacing felt slow at times but there's some great characters. Definitely going to be my new binge fixation. Also reminded me I need to finish watching Mad Men [Netflix] and at least the rest of season 1 of Boardwalk Empire [Amazon Prime]
  12. As the series goes on, I like it so long as I don't think of it as an adaptation of anything Batman. It's more of a non-canon alternate universe kind of thing, like how Batman: Earth One was. Just have to take the show as it is on the surface
  13. After watching episode 4 I definitely think the series is starting to pick up. There are still things about it I don't like but I'm definitely interested in continually tuning in.
  14. For me it's Shia LaBeouf and Nicolas Cage. Just fuck these two so much With the exception of Face/Off And Tom Hanks
  15. Also, speaking of, wanted to ask you guys if what I'm thinking is right, but it's almost like Stark and Cap have kind of started on the path for what could be their Civil War-like arcs? Tony has let go of everything that he is as a superhero, and has often been working with the government, while Cap now mistrusts the government, after being screwed over by them, and now has to work from the shadows. Am I just reading too much into it, or does it seem kind of similar? It may get played up in the future as internal conflict within the group but it will never turn into the full scale Civil War event. There aren't nearly a wide enough range of MCU characters to fill the ranks of either side, and the majority of MCU superheros have their identity well known so there's no need for a superhero registration act. Best case scenario is difffering ideals and mistrusts will just add more fuel to the team-up cliche of good guy fights with fellow good guy until they need to team up to ward off evil
  16. I can't fathom how Winter Soldier didn't feel big or the threat can be undermined. The effects should logically change the environment of the entire Avengers-branch MCU
  17. To anyone who missed the pilot episode of Gotham, it's available to stream for free on Fox's website My thoughts:
  18. First comic I ever bought with my allowance was this particular issue of Spider-Man by Tom DeFalco that I've painstakingly taken the time to find on the internet to recollect at some point. First comic I ever bought with my own money from working was either The Punisher or Ghost Rider. I remember subscribing to them for a year's worth of issues right away. Graphic Novel was Thor, Vol. 1 by J. Michael Straczynski
  19. Read through issues 1-10 of Bendis' All-New X-Men with my new Marvel Unlimited subscription. All this time I thought I hated X-Men, when it turns out I just hated Messiah Complex. Definitely going to continue reading Bendis' All-New. Also went back and read the very first issue of X-Men from 1963. Amazing how much plot and detail they could cram into such a short book, even if there are plenty of conventions that don't stand the test of time. I was disappointed with some aspects I learned about X-Men though:
  20. I only saw one man angry from start to finish. The rest were a bit irritated. Today I tried watching the (1993) original, Leprechaun for some nostalgia. I didn't expect to be as scared as I was when seeing it as a child, but man, I just could not finish it. Young Jennifer Anniston was super cute though. Instead I watched Annie Hall which I was surprised to also find on Netflix Instant Watch. Through much of it I had the sense it was kind of a directionless series of events, but by the end I think it wrapped up well and overall was an enjoyable watch. So many movies I've seen have been paying homage to Annie Hall and I never knew.
  21. Watched the 1957 classic 12 Angry Men on Netflix Instant. Amazing piece of cinema, and I was surprised how engrossed I was in a film that only took place in about 2 rooms but a bit of a misleading title. Going in blind I was expecting something more along the lines of the 1993 classic, Grumpy Old Men.
  22. "All Minnesotans know Japanese as a second language" - Jesse Ventura

  23. For those who haven't seen GotG, minor spoilers
  24. I'd like to request one of you early screening sons a bitches let the rest of us know if Guardians is worth seeing in 3D or not. I've yet to see a film that the 3D added to the experience in a big way.
