  1. Just finished Hemlock Grove. I thought the first few episodes were amazing, but the whole show really felt like it was losing steam throughout the entire middle. I only stuck it out until the end to find out who dun' it, and I guess it was a satisfying conclusion. Wasn't pleased with how the season ended though, felt very rushed and intended to fill holes not addressed
  2. this list needs more Batman and Robin, End of Days, and Junior. Arnie plays a pregnant man, for God's sake! And Last Action Hero. He's a dude playing in a movie playing a dude in a movie who comes out of the movie! ACTING!
  3. Jingle All The Way. End of discussion
  4. I too just started watching Justified after finding out you can stream the show for free on Amazon if you're signed up for Amazon Prime. I'm almost done the first season and am wondering how a cowboy hat and cowboy boots would fly in New England
  5. Archer - animated series about the world's best secret agent who's equal parts dangerous and obnoxiously egomaniacle Workaholics - 3 stoners/slackers work together and live together and do crazy shit The Walking Dead - zombie apocalypse survival Game of Thrones - medieval shit Wilfred - guy can talk to his neighbor's dog, and sees the dog as a man in a dog suit Lilyhammer - mafia guy snitches to the feds and gets hidden away in Sweden. Sadly, only one season. Rescue Me - pissed off drunken fire fighters deal with PTSD, alcoholism, obesity, etc. Curb Your Enthusiasm - Follow the life of Larry David, the co-writer of Seinfeld. It's like Seinfeld pushed to 11 for HBO
  6. Are you referring to the Garth Ennis series or the relaunch? I loved the Garth Ennis series but I never read the relaunch. Ennis indeed. Great shit
  7. Is that the 2011 Mark Waid volume? If so it's a great read - plus the cover for Issue 4 is great. I'm reading Daredevil: End of Days at the moment which I'd suggest picking up if you haven't already - it's an eight part mini series about the death of Daredevil and four issues in, it's been a hell of a book so far. it is indeed Waid's. I'll have to check End of Days out. You just dropped some straight up knowledge on me. I thought I was an outcast for not liking the GotG individual series. I'll give Annihilation a chance
  8. I got a whole bunch of comics for my birthday last week and there is some gold in my collection. Aquaman (New 52) 1-5 is mindblowing for something I went into with low expectations for. After that it kind of tapers off and becomes a generic comic that undoes all the good created in the first few issues. Wonder Woman (New 52) 1-10 is pretty crazy and fun, although I thought the end to 10 was pretty stupid and backwards for Diana's character. Issues 11+12 aren't bad but don't live up tot he same nuttiness as the issues before it. Action Comics (New 52) I'm only on issue 5 but love what I'm reading. Booster Gold I finished Issue 1 and liked the character but thought the flow was really wordy and took me much longer to read than other books. Still going to give a few more issues of BG a chance but it wasn't winning me over much. All-Star Superman by Grant Morrison completely disinterested me in the first two issues and I'm not sure if I'll return to it. Daredevil 1-6 has been awesome and I love the world they've created around him. Always been one of my favorite characters and this series is doing nothing but feeding that love. Guardians of the Galaxy I've only read the first two issues of and it's got some interesting characters but I'm not big on sci-fi so it's more of a forced effort to read it. Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi I also read the first two issues of and suffer the same hinderance of it being so sci-fi heavy and as wordy and descriptive as Booster Gold, if not moreso. I like the villain so far but he's the only thing drawing me into it and they've spent these 2 issues being very secretive and quiet about him, picking his spots to appear. Punisher: MAX I've got up to issue 6 and am so in love with it I had to youtube Thomas Jane's fanfilm, Dirty Laundry. Great, gritty stuff.
  9. 1) The Walking Dead 2. Breaking Bad 3) Workaholics 4) Community 5) Mad Men 6) Always Sunny in Philadelphia 7) Parks and Recreation 9) Wilfred 10) Lilyhammer 11) Once Upon a time 12) Regular Show 13) South Park 14) Archer 15) Key and Peele
  10. I thought Insidious was pretty scary
  11. I enjoyed this too, but there was something that kind of ruined the movie for me.
  12. 1) Spider-Man The 90's Animated Series 2) The Muppets 3) Rocko's Modern Life 4) Pokemon 5) Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 6) Dragon Ball Z 7) Tiny Toon Adventures 8) Captain Planet 9) Spongebob 10)Nick Arcade
  13. Replace Tokyo Story with Toy Story and you've got a real list
  14. Kicked so much ass, but I think it was kind of lost on the audience I saw it with. It was just me and my friend laughing hysterically while everyone else seemed like they walked into the wrong theater. Also, finally watched Attack The Block to see what the hype was all about. Hype on. that movie rocked. And my American sympathies to those who live around chavs, as I finally understand your struggles
  15. It's a sad day. I don't know who's left to protect us from R.I.P. Mermaid Man
  16. Redbox is becoming pretty popular in the US
  17. Futurama returned with season seven back-to-back new episodes, and I think I'm the only person in my social circle that tuned in. Really wanted it to be good.
  18. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Thank God this was done by the guys who did the Crank films. I would let them double-team me. No-homo. Turned chicken shit into... maybe not quite chicken salad, but something edible and fun.
  19. This is what's always bothered me (albeit a small gripe) about websites/threads hosting scenarios (particularly fantasy) - the lack of available read-me/backstory text files before I download it. Maybe it's just me, but I'm less inclined to blindly download a scenario off the title alone. [/rant] Inked - Comic Book Scenario Inked Pic Pack No backstory, just a bunch of comic book companies and comic book characters available for your dueling pleasure. January 2000 - A modified 2000 scenario with more realistic stats, although still not a perfect system by any means.
  20. Gene Wilder had a ton of creative input on playing Willie Wonka. He came up with the introductory scene of coming out with a cane and doing a somersault back up to his feet when he fell, as well as heavily helped design the costume.
  21. Four year bump! Someone requested this scenario through PM due to Megaupload's destruction, so I have reuploaded it on Mediafire. Pics and Data available in first post. Still have no idea how I came up with the stats for anyone, but if enough people play it and leave suggestions, I wouldn't be against releasing an updated version of the scenario
