  1. Looking for a banner with dimensions around 300x150 or so. Promotion is Viral Wrestling Epidemic, so I'd like the abbreviation, and the word fire on the banner. Miscellaneous ideas for images in the banner: Fire in eye dragon's breath of fire burning man fire golem Vince McMahon Corporate Kane Sami Zayn Colt Cabana Lashley Rusev Kota Ibushi Kevin Owens
  2. I think where they went wrong with Black Bolt is 1) not getting an actor emotive enough in his facial expressions, and 2) not directing around him as though he was a dog. In TV and film we've mastered the art of making a non-speaking animal act in such a way to evoke some sort of emotion from us. This dude looks like he's just a robot and we're waiting for him to talk. Hearing him talk should be like hearing a fucking dog talk, it means something big! And speaking of dogs, stoked to see Lockjaw, who they did understand how to direct around
  3. Her origin story has been retooled numerous times. A lot of her has. MORE INVISIBLE PLANES!
  4. I've read 25 out of 75 graphic novels, which puts me 10 books behind where I should be at this time for my goal.
  5. Jim Breuer doing his impression of AC/DC
  6. Highly recommend to everyone from that Amazon sale X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills. Awesome story, less than a dollar. Especially awesome if you're into stories that get heavily borrowed from my the MCU
  7. The one thing BvS did right was the Big Damn Heroes entrance of Wonder Woman with that sick song
  8. Excited for Joss to be involved. Snyder doesn't deserve half the opportunities he gets based on his level of skill, but no one deserves to outlive their children either. My sympathy goes out to him and his family
  9. Appreciated, but that's okay. I've pretty much given up on that idea
  10. I run a Marvel Unlimited Book Club on reddit where we have a new reading assignment every week. https://www.reddit.com/r/MUBookClub/ My personal favorites over the past year running it: X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills by Chris Claremont Moon Knight (2014) by Warren Ellis (#1-6 only, then someone else takes over and it's just okay) Ultimate Spider-Man (2000) by Brian Michael Bendis Deadpool (2012) by Gerry Duggan and Brian Pohsen Thor: God of Thunder (2012) by Jason Aaron Inhumans (1998) by Paul Jenkins Black Panther (1998) by Christopher Priest Runaways (2003) by Brian K. Vaughan Vision (2015) by Tom King Superior Foes of Spider-Man (2013) by Nick Spencer Astonishing X-Men (2004) by Joss Whedon Silver Surfer: Requium (2007) by J. Michael Straczynski Nextwave: Agents of HATE (2006) by Warren Ellis Invincible Iron Man (2008) by Matt Fraction
  11. Could I request a signature for Viral Wrestling Epidemic? I don't have any color schemes in mind. Can't even settle on images, but things that do come to mind: - Hazard symbol - Wall of TV screens - Quarantine or danger signs - Owned by Max Landis - Top stars are Kane (unmasked, besuited, professional), Kevin Owens, Scott Steiner, Lashley, Rusev, and Sami Zayn So whatever you gain from that and can work with. Obviously it'd be a mess to try and cram everything into one image
  12. I'd give it till episode 6 before tapping out. 6 is directed by RZA from Wu-Tang Clan, and it's very obvious and very cool. First time he uses his powers in a way that made me authentically mark out
  13. Finished the series last night. I really enjoyed it and all of the characters except for Joy. Ward actually became one of my favorites. Following all of the Rand goings-on was like watching American Psycho meets West Wing. Season ending could have been delivered a little better I thought. All the pieces were there, and I could see what they were trying to do, but it felt a bit rushed and vague.
  14. Ya this is one of the most easily digestible of the 4 series. I'm already on episode 8 and could easily finish watching it today
  15. We seem to generate enough discussion for each of the Defender series to warrant it's own thread. While this was panned by critics before it's release, I'm 2 episodes in and enjoying it. So far what I like, without spoilers, is it really feels like it's in the same city as the rest of the characters. An interesting detail is the ratio of day-scenes to night-scenes in this series compared to the other Defenders. Reviews be damned, I'm enjoying it. I woke up early this morning to put it back on, but there are definitely flaws. Episode 2
  16. You are one evil, egg-sucking son of a snake. Super Mario Bros. is a treasure
  17. Deadpool Captain America: Civil War Zootopia Rogue One The Nice Guys Hell or High Water The Witch Green Room The Magnificent Seven The Jungle Book Honorable Mentions: The Boss, Keanu, X-Men: Apocalypse, The Conjuring 2, Finding Dory, Ghostbusters, Suicide Squad
  18. Silver Surfer: Requiem (2007) by J. Michael Straczynski - ★★★★★ Nextwave: Agents of HATE (2006) by Warren Ellis - ★★★★ X-Factor: Madrox (2004) by Peter David - ★★★★★ Spider-Man 2099 Vol. 1 (1992) by Peter David - ★★★★ X-23: Innocence Lost (2005) by Craig Kyle - ★★★ Annihilation, Book Three (2006) by Keith Giffen - ★★ Challenge says I'm 2 books behind schedule. Feeling the pressure!
  19. Hated the costumes in the trailer, hated (to a lesser degree) that they were superpowered without the costumes, and was utterly baffled when they dropped a drug reference and swearing. Awful feeling it's going to be Transformers all over again. All that being said, I loved Goldar.
  20. I preferred Hell House by Richard Matheson as far as haunted house novels go
  21. I watched the first episode and definitely struggled with it. The tone was certainly a hurdle for me, as it just kept getting increasingly dark and no longer felt like a show aimed at kids like I expected. I never saw the film or read the books, so I don't know if I'm missing the benefit of nostalgia. Tone aside, I really didn't like it for being so true to it's title.
