    Fallout 3

There are tons of first person, turn based games. Did you never own a Nintendo? All the old roleplaying games used to be first person and turn based. Besides, even though the game is being developed in first person, they've supposedly put a lot of work into third person. A lot of the screenshots of the game feature the over the shoulder camera, ala RE Four or Crackdown, but the game also can simulate the exact same camera angle from the old games. How the movement of the camera, locking, and general functions works hasn't been revealed, but I definitely will be playing combat from the third person perspective if indeed it's as good as has been promised.

    Fallout 3

Since the game seems to be moving to a first person perspective the Real Time combat is going to be necessary, and besides 90% of the time in Fallout you have to fall back on Firearms so it'll be a good bit more action packed to get to do it yourself, instead of cursing your lack of talents in Gatling Lasers ¬_¬ Hopefully the area is based around the first two games and not Fallout Tactics, I'd love to stroll around Junktown, The Hub and New Reno. I'm really looking forward to this anyway, got the trailer and picture pack off of Xbox Live and I played all the previous games and liked them all (the bastard spawn that came to the consoles doesn't count as far as I'm concerned).
  4. Apologies for the double post but didn't think it was worth starting a new topic for. Is anybody interested in co-oping through on Hardcore or Insane with me? My friends don't really play Gears and I'm struggling to progress with the AI buddy.
  5. I've just got the new maps and am bringing the fail
  6. I'd play, I've gotten back into Gears now that the lancer doesn't just tickle the onrushing mass of shotgun nubs. Clearly Team Scotland would whip you all.
  7. Aren't you covered byt he fact you are selling it to the parent? What they choose to do with it (whether it be keep it or hand it over to a child) is their responsibilty rathert han yours. Isn't it?
  8. Quick question for any of our resident Game / Gamestation workers: What's the purchase price for a preowned Xbox? It was about £35 last time I checked, and I'm thinking of grabbing one in case my 360 goes Red Ring again.
  9. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The trailer looks amazing and its being developed by Infinity Ward who were responsible for the killer CoD 2 on 360, so it should be very solid in terms of gameplay.
  10. I'm certain they'll take consoles without boxes, Game have a supply of their own blank console boxes they sell preowned Machines in - you might get less for them though. Hamster might wander in and be able to confirm that. I'd guess you'll be pretty safe buying preowned games too, since Game and Gamestation just won't take games if they look like a dog's chewed them.
  11. Sounds like the old problem the PS has had since its first incarnation: Larger size memory cards "saving" data and then not being able to recover it. Used to happen a lot on those PS1 cards that used "Pages" of memory blocks. Can you see the save data if you browse the card from the PS2 menu?
  12. Psycho Mantis from MGS1. Personally I hated the bosses in Metal Gear 3, in fact I still haven't beaten The Boss. No matter what I try I always got my ass kicked.
  13. I like it a lot, which is coming from someone who didn't love Halo 2 all that much. Feel free to add me for a game
  14. Apologies for the bump and the double post but AllDawson has said he won't have the time to use his code so Its up for grabs again, first come first served (Y)
  15. So, go tomorrow? Or are they saying they won't accept it?
  16. For anyone else who's got 48hr trial cards, the current run of them will expire at the end of June so.........y'know, use them an stuff.
