  1. There are 17,499 images altogether (including TheWho's extra stuff you had in your upload). I'll update this post when its uploaded. Edit: Scratch that. Edit2: The pack is slowly taking shape as I remove duplicates and non-existant (cartoon) characters. I've kept TheWho87's Background Bases and Celebrities & Non-Wrestlers folders.
  2. How many images are there? Perhaps we could combine packs and maybe, eventually, work towards something like what MortonElephant described.
  3. Giving the legends an open contract could open the door to some crazy scenarios after a few months of game time. Intrigued.
  4. I used to keep on top of my Pics folder but having been away for 6 months or so i've kind of lost track. My Pics folder contains 7,821 pics.... If I can get it completely up to date with Bill's updates I will upload it. Didn't Bill release a pic pack a few months back?
  5. Recently started mirroring some EWR files and writing guides over at http://ewr.tumblr.com Thanks MegaUpload :(

Ok an hour was a bit optimistic, i'm playing with the formatting of the list's i've already got up.

  6. Just to let you know, you don;t have the promotion Editor in the pack. I'll try get on my old computer and get it off there as I only ever uplaoded it to megaupload :/ Oh dear Lord. Thanks for that Rocky. How very noob of me. As soon as I see it i'll get it mirrored. Hopefully Mediafire wont be going anywhere for awhile.
  7. Hi 0wen, I uploaded Arsenic a couple of days ago for someone else. Here is the link along with the rest of the EWR stuff I have (which isn't much). http://www.mediafire.com/?yrdkfbd7kikmd
  8. Yes, my bad. I didn't know promotions under 10 PI can't go to war. How about looking at tv ratings, show/ppv attendances and buy-rates over the past 6 months or so for the promotions in question and whoever has the most should be ranked the highest (out of the three).
  9. When the game is first loading (After you choose the save slot and you've accepted the dialog box that popped up) LEAVE THE GAME ALONE. Don't press anything. The game will let you know when it's ready (roughly 5~10 minutes for each new game to generate). You don't need a new scenario, you need to not click/press buttons while EWR is generating your game. That said, I do have a 2001 scenario which luckily has it's readme file still attached. I've never played it, but have had this zip file stored away for years.
  10. Thanks Red. I think Mancuerda(?) put it best really.. Thats the truth sadly. I concede.
  11. I think editing the database in a way that prevents things happening in the future (i.e. for 'bug-fixes' etc) will ultimately be detrimental to this update. If a company belongs at a certain level I believe it should be placed there and allowed to play out naturally within the confines of the game. +1. National surely means nationwide in the country the company is based in.
  12. I agree with this 100%. If a companies TV shows are aired outside of their home country and they actually do shows in other countries then they must be Global.Only problem I see here is where you place WWE/TNA/ROH in game (PI%).
  13. Isn't that outside the realms of what is possible with hex editing? I don't believe it can pick up an entire record, from start to finish. Then again, please tell me to shut up as my experience only goes so far as ROM hacking back in the day. I understand why you want to convert the database now (tools already out there to edit it). Best of luck
  14. You are insisting the tool will be used to add wrestlers (etc) to the database, but hex cannot add anything, be it an additional single character or a whole new record. Hex will not import/export the database either, it is simply text replacement. I didn't mean to literally read the database (wtf?), I meant why not focus your app to work with the .dat files directly rather than exporting the database, editing it in another tool then importing the edited data. It would be quicker to code and easier to use.
  15. False. The game works fine with tweeners, most of my roster are tweeners for years in game. Disposition only effects what gimmicks work in the game and some minor booking options. Agreed completely.
  16. I have no idea how to read the database itself in whatever format it was made, but I know that I can edit anything in it with a hex editor. With that knowledge, I can make a program that reads it like a hex editor and uses that data to create a spreadsheet or something that you can then edit and change back to a DAT file. I was recently making a program to edit a SNES rom via hex methods as well so I know it can be done. I was just wondering if it was practical or not. Dude from my understanding you're a bit wide of the mark. Hex editing overwrites pre-existing content, it cannot 'add' anything. It will be a lot easier to stick to Access too as that has native database support. Perhaps stick to reading the DAT files directly rather than creating tools to export, tools to convert, tools to import...
  17. You're welcome. Glad everyone has enjoyed this so far. There are other things I can change but not much. I can change text in the game and thus can change the names of the Japanese promotions but it would conflict with rosters, so I didn't bother. Another thing I can do is change some of the random names used for new workers. Actually thought of that since I never really liked most of the names the game uses. Can you do anything with 'Based In'? I'd love to be based in the UK.
  18. Thanks for this. It's a great little touch that helps freshen up this tired old game.
  19. Not a bad first attempt at all but you can see the cut around his big bald head. Practise is all. And I use Adobe Fireworks. Photoshop is overkill.
  20. Thats a bit harsh, to say the least. It read to me like he was just interested, I didn't sense any maliciousness in his post. Anyway, I like that you contribute so much to the lucha side of the database and long may it continue.
  21. His composure is crap and he's slow too.
  22. Pretty much like a lot of Metallica songs then tbh!
