  1. The New York Post report the Rangers sign free agent foward Brendan Shanahan As a Rangers fan, if this is indeed true then I am happy about this. This is the help Jagr needs for the scoring department. We needed another true quailty scorer to help Jagr, and now we have one. I hope.. The only thing that is making me thing he could slow down at all, is his age. At age 37, many people aren't good for the 40 goal seasons, but I do think Shanahan is the exception. This means that we won't need either Ruchinsky or Sykora. Personally, I rather have Sykora, so thanks for your help Ruchinsky (Y). Time will tell for me on how this pans out, but right now, I am happy about this. So happy.. I might sing the Rangers Victory Song!
  2. Pronger's a Duck.. I bet you his wife wants to be in movies.
  3. Elias re-signs with the Devils for a 7 year 42 million dollar deal. We all knew he wouldn't be leaving.
  4. Sources: Fernado Pisani Re-Signs with Edmonton To me that is a very good move for the Oilers, he was probably one of their best fowards during the entire playoff run. Also I think Pisani is bound to have a breakout year, so its a good thing Edmonton resigned him because I'm sure they would of been upset if they coudn't resign him. Pronger to Speak to Press About Trade Request Finally we can get some light onto why he wants out of Edmonton. We do know its a family issue, but what I don't understand is why would he do such a thing? He says he enjoys the city, his teammates, and he enjoyed the entire season. But, I mean we have to respect him if there is some family issue that does need to be taken care of. Nick Lidstrom Re-Signs for 2 Years With Wings. Well what is more to say.. 2 years for 15.2 million.. That's Brad Richards money, so you can say bye-bye to Shanny in hockey town. But unlike Brad Richards, Lidstrom is actually well deserved for this kind of money. Norris finalist 7 of 8 years. 80 points as a defensmen is something rarely done. Good for him, now he can finish his career in Detroit.
  5. Why? Honestly, I don't think there will be enough time in this movie for Venom to play out, so they'll likely save that battle for the fourth. In fact, I see a huge cliffhanger to end this one. But Carnage would make an obvious choice for a fifth (and final) film.
  6. I liked Ace's side project, I thought it was totally different from them, I think we can expect Ace to use that sound in one of the disc's in the triple disc set. Fluxy is an alright song, Never truly gotten into it as the others, but none the less I always listen to it.
  7. Anyone, listen or at least hear of the Early November. A band thats on the label Drive-Thru Records, on July 11 they are release The Mother, The Mechanic, The Path a triple disc Rock Oprea, I guess you would call it that has three different styles of music blended into one to make sure the look at feel of the album sounds totally different. I seriously cannot wait for this CD to come out, I've had it preordered through West Aspen Merch, since they were holding a promotion for the CD, with the CD, Shirt and poster. Songs I would Recommend: - Sunday Drive - Ever So Sweet - I Want to Hear You Sad - Something that Produces Results - The Course of Human Life .. Well pretty much any song. Those are a few that I personally enjoy. Something with this band that I rarely have with anyothers, is the fact that I can sit and listen to their full lengths without ever skipping a song and what not, which is something that I rarely do with music I listen too. If you've heard of The Early November.. - Do you like them? Or Not? - Favorite Song?
  8. As a lover of Spider-Man in all forms (Comics, Games, Television Series, Movies). This by far is probably the best of the bunch, the symbote will play perfectly I hope with how Peter actually is afraid of it, but as it progresses, he will get too cocky with the suit (I do believe that's what happened to him in the books). Looks like Peter plans to get married too. Leaves us up in the air with whom though. Maximum Carnage, would be an amazing story to do with the fourth, but that would possibly be too impossible.
  9. Pete you forgot to mention Jimmy Eat World's EP as one of the albums to check out. That EP "Stay on My Side Tonight" was probably the very first EP I actually listened to that made me crave for more. That EP itself showed the maturity of Jimmy Eat World as individuals, and as a group as a whole. From that EP all the songs Bar the remix of Drugs or Me is excellent. -- But on the Flowers deal, as I do like The Killers myself, as I find them a different type of rock band with the glam sounds and what not, he's a idiot. That's all I can say, I even hate Fall Out Boy, but when someone enjoy's your record, don't be a dick about it because they are "Emo". Ah, I don't know.. Maybe he's has a big head because Hot Fuss was such a great album in the minds of the Academy. Just produce a follow up for Hot Fuss, it's been a long time already.
  10. I Suggest if you do buy that album get the delux edition of the album.. 2 Disc's of Say Anything, and that's not a bad thing at all. I enjoy the song Woe, and Spidersong.
  11. No Substance - Bad Religion .. That had to be the biggest joke of a Bad Religion album ever, who ever told Greg Graffin to write Raise Your Voice! Should be rightfully shot.
  12. Personally I would of had Bad Religion, and NOFX to that list since they both were influential to the Punk wave. Bad Religion I was most upset over though not being on that list, but a band like Blink 182, who I am a fan of was on that list, and I cannot find something influential that they did. Bad Religion changed the punk scene, by reinventing it, and reintroducing the genre as it was dying out. So-Cal Punk Bands credit Bad Religion as an influence, hell I do think Tom and Mark of Blink list Graffin and the boys as influences for Blink. Overall pretty good list, but was disappointed without the mentioning of Bad Religion.
  13. Does anyone know that Dwayne Roloson is actually 36 years old.. Damn.
  14. I am really enjoying this Scenario, currently playing as WCCW in my TEW game, pretty interesting concept naiwf, good luck making the EWR one mate.
  15. The Flyers won't make it past the first round of the playoffs.
  16. Blink 182 - I use to hate them, I hated Tom's Voice because it sounded annoying as anything. Well it still does, but I can stand it now. The Killers - Something about there sound I just didn't like, so I dusted off Hot Fuss the other day, and that besides Death Cab for Cutie, is the only thing I've been listening too.
  17. I donno if you can call Boston a cup contender, but they sure are looking like one. Yes I know I hated on Thorton the other day, but .. he's a good player I'll admit it.
  18. I also read on ESPN.com that if the Devils don't do good this season you could probably expect to see Broduer, Rafalski and Madden all out of New Jersey if the team starts off on a negative note which at this time many is expecting. It doesn't help when you don't know if Elias is going to play since he got Hepatitis i believe it was C while over in Russia during there off year. Losing Stevens if this rumor is true will put the knife in General Manger Lou Lamoriello heart as losing a quality player (even though many disagree), and losing a great captain to a winning franchise, thus starting Lamoriello's rebuilding period. For the article here it is: http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/columns/stor...john&id=2128758
  19. Alright, so you're saying someone like Gange who deserves a big contract, and didn't get one is not that good of a player as Thorton. Okay of course he had to carry the Bruins, who else did they have? But who's better in your eyes Gange, or Thorton?
  20. Oh I doubt we'll be selling any Montoya jersey with the 500 other goalies we have. and .. 1.55 Million for one year is fine, I'm not disagreeing with you, but it seems you guys just hit the lottery by signing Lindros, sure he wanted to go there .. but seriously lets think about it. Lindros had 55 points his last full season, someone said here, how is that productive? He had more points when he played less games, and I'm sure we all know he would of had a lot more if he didn't have 500 concussions the past 3 seasons. All I'm saying is, it's going to be interesting what he does for the Leafs, who for some reason like older players anyway. Good luck having Lindros, and yes he'll sell the jerseys, he'll bring them money, fans and what not. But how many games has his dad decided to make those bonuses start that he's promiced, past the first month of the season? Oh, well yeah probably he'll get a concussion, then you'll come crying how much of a waste he was to sign, when he can't play the rest of the season. That's all. In other news, Thorton is a overrated player.
  21. Alright, you can be happy with Lindros, I mean he's good for a couple goals, and a couple concussions here and there along the way. So in short turns good luck with the guy. Finally another Rangers headcase out of the way. Now I'll say this, if Lindros was healthy, he'd be: 1. Worth more. 2. Staying with the Rangers. The Rangers didn't want him because his health is a problem, so to you Leaf fans out there, you're welcome.
