Friday Night Lights was a GREAT movie. I bought the football scenes and I bought the emotion. The part with the Billignsleys at the end damn near drove me to tears. The book is even better and tells a whole other story that the movie ignored.

I'd say this was the best episode. If I had to rank them Id go 4, 1, 2, 3. The comotion and everything made the thing seem live. Knowing that Sorkin did it with The West Wing before, I'd like to see them do a 90-minute special live as if the show is actually happening. I'm really getting into Timothy Busfield's character and wish they could find more for him to do. I like how they are giving Ricky & Ron some backbone and integitry instead of just being unfunny, spineless weasels that they were portrayed to be early on.

But hey, this will give CBS a spot for another CSI spin off. The assholes.

As a Tigers fan last night was the epitome of their problems. Everything is predicated on hitting home runs. In the 2nd and 3rd innings they had golden opportunities to pounce on Wang and couldn't get it done and then Robertson gave up a bajillion runs in the bottom of the 3rd. But, it was a nice showing to make a game of it and the fact that Rivera had pitch last night was a plus. Mussina is coming off an injury so hopefully they can get to him, maybe he wont have his best stuff and they NEED a strong performance from the AL Rookie of the Year Elect Justin Verlander. The Rangers fired Buck Showalter today so you know what that means: Your 2007 World Series Champions: THE TEXAS RANGERS!!!!
