The NFL deal I can understand from a business standpoint, as ESPN was looking more and more like a worthwhile opponent and EA apparently didn't feel comfortable with them just over their shoulders.

I think NFL Europe was included in the NFL signing, although all that I can base that off of the top of my head is the fact that NFL Europe teams were included in past Madden games.

Furthermore, if you want to play a football game that features a lot of scoring, just go pick up NFL Street 2.

I can score alot in Madden if I play rookie mode. I just wanna try out an AFL even though Kurt Warner's probably sucked. I'm just a big sport videogame fan.

when i read that I thought they meant AFL as in Australian Football League but they must mean American since it is basically NFL

No...it isn't basically the NFL, it's different. Yes, it's american football, but no, it's not the NFL. And I'm stoked for an AFL game, but I would have preferred ESPN to do it, because I want them to stay in the market and a CFL game isn't going to get them the buys they want. Sure a few people would get it, but not as many as an AFL game would have, as AFL is a growing league in the US.

Arena Football = shorter field, crash barriers on the sidelines, no punts, field goals that miss bounce back off a net and into play, receivers are allowed running starts from scrimmage, hardly any running game due to the smaller field.

No way, once you level up your team and play for a long while, it's quite good. I quit playing a little ago, it's the most i've ever tried in a game as hard as it is.

NFL Street 1 it is.
