Also, the now fully recovered Milano Collection AT confirmed that he would be taking part in the NJPW Best of Super Juniors Tournament, as well as their Italian Excursion, which would also feature a fashion show; of which Milano hinted at possible participation. He assured Wrestle Association "R" fans that he would still be a very active Wrestle Association "R" wrestler, and was hoping for more success in the Battle Angel Tour.

Two thirds of the WAR Six Man Tag Team Champions, Yoshihiro Takayama and Kazuyuki Fujita had a few things to say about this six man tag team tournament, when reporters caught up with them. They said that this tournament was just some irritating and backwards way of trying to strip the titles from them. They wanted to remind Takei that it was his idea to place the losers of the J-1 Tournament in a six man tag match to decide who would get the title in the first place, so the idea that they weren't deserving was just rediculous. They also wished to remind Takei that he can't just take titles from people if he doesn't like who is holding it. However, both Takayama and Fujita were quite confident that the tournament would be easy enough; and began mocking and impersonating various members of the Wrestle Association "R" roster.

Wrestle Association "R" President Masatomo Takei announced a number of the teams that would be participating in the Six Man Tag Team Tournament;

- Milano Collection AT, MOCHI & Ishi Mori

- Shiro Koshinaka, Naohiro Hoshikawa & Tatsutoshi Goto

- Nobuhiko Takada, Masaaki Satake & Shigeo Okumura

- Andrei Arlovski, Kendo Kashin & Kazunari Murakami

- Nobukazu Hirai, Nobutaka Araya & Ryuma Go

- Genichiro Tenryu, Toshiaki Kawada & Masashi Aoyagi

- Katsuyori Shibata, Dragon Kid & Masao Orihara

- Kenta Kobashi, Go Shiosaki & Tiger Emperor

- Magnum TOKYO, Darkness Dragon & Masato Yoshino

- Yoshihiro Takayama, Kazuyuki Fujita & Minoru Suzuki

Takuya Sugawara was the final T2P student to debut in Toryumon. He showed great potential once fully integrated into Dragon Gate, but never really reached any great heights; especially as a result of his dismissal in early 2005. A great hopefully for the Wrestle Association "R" junior division.

Ryuji Ito was trained in the Big Japan dojo before debuting as a young lucharesu junior. However as he evolved in the promotion he became the top deathmatch star in the company. A former WEW Hardcore Tag Team Champion and once a had a good match against The Great Sasuke. It is unknown whether he will continue his hardcore style in WAR, or if he will return to his lucharesu roots.

I'm still here! Reading this diary, it is so great.

The only problem I have is that you are filled to the brim with Main Players and Midcarders, and there really isn't a whole lot of ranking. I want some Dojo Boys :(

Anyway. I am a lover of Six Man Tag Matches, Trio Matches, so I thought I would break down the tournament for a bit of fun :P

- Milano Collection AT, MOCHI & Ishi Mori

Possibly the weakest of all the teams. It is a whole Junior team, so I don't give them much of a chance in the tournament at all, considering some of the HUGE teams that are in it. Is this Round Robin or Single elimination?

- Shiro Koshinaka, Naohiro Hoshikawa & Tatsutoshi Goto

This has to be the only team in the tournament that is random! The WAR way~! This team looks like it could do well, but impossible to win. I could see them getting at least one upset, hopefully Koshinaka picking up a big fall over maybe Kawada or Misawa, or Takayama. Someone like that, to put him up another level, and then make them a strong challenge to the future champions.

- Nobuhiko Takada, Masaaki Satake & Shigeo Okumura

But then again, this team is pretty random! Takada is bigger then most of the people in the tournament, and I don't think you are using him to his right calibre. This is my pick to win it, just for the sole fact of Takada being that strong, and it will help get Satake and Okamura over...

- Andrei Arlovski, Kendo Kashin & Kazunari Murakami

A strong team here. Arlovski has been built well, but I KaShin is eh, while Murukami has really been downgraded.

- Nobukazu Hirai, Nobutaka Araya & Ryuma Go

The jobber TEAM~! This team would be great for an upset win, and hopefully a future holder of the six man titles.

- Genichiro Tenryu, Toshiaki Kawada & Masashi Aoyagi

The first of the monster teams. Kawada and Tenryu could go this alone, and I think Aoyagi is going to cost them a lot of matches, for the sole fact that he is lower then most other people in the tournament.

- Katsuyori Shibata, Dragon Kid & Masao Orihara

Another pretty random team. Shibata would have to hold this team together alone, and I think your choices for his partners are going to be his downfall. Kid just doesn't go strong in WAR, while Orihara is just never big in the first place.

- Kenta Kobashi, Go Shiosaki & Tiger Emperor

Kobashi falls under the same area of Shibata. Shiosaki hasen't been built well here, same with Tiger Emporer. I want to see Emporer get a big upset over Magnum or something, and make him a credible challenger to the International Junior title. He deserves it.

- Magnum TOKYO, Darkness Dragon & Masato Yoshino

Another all Junior team, which could have a strong fight with Milano's team. They will be in the bottom half of the tournament though.

- Yoshihiro Takayama, Kazuyuki Fujita & Minoru Suzuki

The SUEPR STRONG TEAM~! No other team in the tournament could match up to them, but I personally want Koshinaka's team to pull out the upset over them, with Koshinaka pinning Takayama or Fujita. It would make it a lot more interesting.

Overall, you have a lot of options to go, but there are some bad choices for teams. they could have been a lot better.

If this is round robin, we are looking at 2 tours worth of matches here...

Wow dude, your efforts need to acknowledged here.

The fact that you took on the task of a puro diary deserves credit but to have this kind of longevity to spit people’s interests is fantastic. Your dedication is something rarely seen these days and should be commended. Way to go man, keep up the good work.

Tatushito Takaiwa is a very successful Pro-Wrestling ZERO-ONE MAX wrestler who will be looking to shake things up in the WAR Six Man Tag Tournament as he has a history of having great runs in a number of tournaments. His team consists of two more former Dragon Gate wrestlers, Raimu Mishima and Takamichi Iwasa who gained great success as the Florida Brothers under the names Danny and Michael respectively. Having spent time in the WAR Dojo recently, the seem to have moved away from comedy for the time being and it shall be interesting to se how the perform in this tournament.

Tenryu ended the conference by stating that he will announce the matches for the tournament very soon, with the first few taking place on 15/06 in the Kagoshima Arena.

2. Kazuyuki Fujita defeats Shigeo Okumura via submission with a Sleeper Hold. (8:31)

3. CIMA & Super Shisa defeat Darkness Dragon & Dragon Kid when Shisa uses the Shisa Clutch on K-Ness. (12:49)

4. Andrei Arlovski & Kendo Kashin defeat Nobuhiko Takada & Masaaki Satake via submission when Arlovski uses an Achilles Heel Lock on Masaaki Satake. (14:04)

5. Lion Heart, Masao Orihara & Susumu Yokosuka defeat Jinsei Shinzaki, Great Sasuke & Kengo Mashimo when Orihara uses the Spider German Suplex on Mashimo. (16:22)

6. Genichiro Tenryu & Toshiaki Kawada defeat Shiro Koshinaka & Tatsutoshi Goto when Kawada hits Goto with a Gamengiri. (15:55)

7. Kensuke Sasaki & Riki Choshu defeat Yoshihiro Takayama & Minoru Suzuki when Choshu takes down Suzuki with a Riki Lariat. (18:47)

Takuya Sugawara and Ryuji Ito had an impressive debut match, where Ito revealed that he was returning in a way to his lucharesu roots. Backstage after the match, he said that this loss wasn't going to deter him from continuing to use this style, as he was confident that he could improve and reach great heights over time. During the match however, he did hint for a moment of returning to the hardcore style when he tried to use a chair at one point in the match, and when he began looking under the ring.

Shigeo Okumura put up a decent fight against Fujita, but it just wasn't enough. Fujita wrapped his legs around Okumura with the sleeper hold to pick up a win.

Two teams pair up for the first time as Shisa and CIMA take on Dragon Kid and Darkness Dragon in a very exciting fast paced battle. Shisa manages another upset over one half of the WAR International Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions in K-Ness with his Shisa Clutch. Backstage afterwards, Shisa said that he knew he was capable of beating a team with K-Ness in it, just that he needed the right partner who would help him capture those tag titles. CIMA expressed no interest in teaming with Shisa regularly however, claiming that he was more interested in going for the WAR International Junior Heavyweight Title currently held by The Great Sasuke.

Arlovski and Kashin team up for the first time before the Six Man Tag Tournament to take on Takada and Satake, who will also be in a team for the Six Man Tag Tournament. Takada was desperate to get some revenge on Arlovski for his brutal assault at the Yoshiaki Fujiwara Retirement Show, and afterwards claimed that Arlovski disrespected Fujiwara with his actions. Takada's anger seemed to distract him however, as Arlovski managed to lock an Achilles Hold on Satake to get the submission victory.

The team of Lion Heart, Yokosuka and Orihara get the better of Sasuke, Shinzaki and Mashimo in this bout. After picking up the win over Mashimo, Orihara started getting in the face of The Great Sasuke and told him that he would be the a victim of his recent big event success, when he comes for the WAR International Junior Heavyweight Title.

Tenryu and Kawada get the win over Koshinaka and Goto after an intense battle, when Kawada hits Goto with a Gamengiri. Koshinaka seemed very disappointed afterwards, and said that Tenryu seemed to be holding some grudge against his Heisei Ishingun stable. Koshinaka also mentioned that the idea of Shibata being deserving of a Japan J-1 Heavyweight Title shot was rediculous, and that he planned on doing whatever was necessary to stop it from happening.

Japan J-1 Heavyweight Champion Kensuke Sasaki teamed up with Revolution Warrior Riki Choshu to take on two thirds of the WAR Six Man Tag Team Champions in Takayama and Suzuki. A very physical and intense battle ensued that eventually came to its conclusion when Choshu hit a Riki Lariat on Suzuki. After the match, Takayama and Suzuki said that this bout would have no effect on how they peform in the upcoming Six Man Tag Tournament.

That tournaments starting to look very. very. stacked and intruiging. Though I must take this one opportunity to ask something thats bugged me. Now I've never particularly disliked Uncle Albert (A-Train) like the smarks, but I have no idea why hes being booked by AJPW aside from him being ugly and hairy. Whats the attraction? Or is he booked by Mutoh purely on the "Ex-WWE" basis. In which case. Damn Mutoh, thats what small town indy feds are meant to do not one of the one time great promotions of the world.

He said that the experience was very educational, but that he is more than certain that he has the skills and tools to become the Japan J-1 Heavyweight Champion. He added that he will continue to train harder than usual throughout this tour however, and he will make the goal of becoming the Japan J-1 Champion his life for the next month.

Milano Collection AT made his return to the Wrestle Association "R" Dojo today, after losing to Jushin Thunder Liger on New Japan Pro Wrestling BoSJ Tour on this night. Milano expressed his anger at the tactics used by Liger throughout the match, using closed fists, choke holds and even relying on his CTU team mates to aid him during the match. Milano then demanded a rematch with Liger in Wrestle Association "R", where Liger doesn't have his lackies to look out for him. Milano would now be facing Akiya Anzawa on the 6/13 Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium #2 show, and then Wataru Inoue on the 6/18 Kyoto City Gymnasium show in Block B of the BoSJ League.

President Masatomo Takei revealed the full card for the next two shows. He also revealed that after the first round, the winners of match one would not necessarily be facing the winners of match two, and the winners of match three may not necessarily be facing the winners of match four and so on; stating that Tenryu wished to make the tournament as exciting as possible, and would provide the fans with the most exciting combinations.

Kazuya Yuasa of the Kaientai Dojo made an impressive debut before he enters into the Six Man Tag Tournament, but his team mate lats him down as the team of Sugawara and Yokosuka pick up the fall.

The Nuovo Italian Connection managed to pull through for the junior division in their match when Milano managed to get a submission victory over Nobukazu Hirai.. There appeared to be a little miscommunication between the Italian Connection members, but it didn't effect their match too greatly.

The Heisei Ishingun stable move up in the tournament with a decisive victory over what appeared to be a weak teaming of Shibata, Dragon Kid and Orihara who showed little chemistry in the match. Shibata seemed particularly angered by the result..

Tiger Emperor showed the strength of NOAH juniors, scoring a pinfall on one half of the WAR International Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions; advancing this NOAH team to the next round of the Six Man Tag Tournament.

Tatsuhito Takaiwa showed great strength and resiliance in this bout as he practically fought the match for his partners in their WAR debut. His efforts didn't pay off though, as Suzuki managed to lock Iwasa in a choke sleeeper to move the current Six Man Tag Team Champions up in the tournament.

Japan J-1 Heavyweight Champion Kensuke Sasaki made an entry in his online blog concerning his thoughts about defending his title against Katsuyori Shibata.

user posted image

".. I was originally considering remaining as a freelance wrestler for many more months before coming to the conclusion that WAR would be worth a short in the long term. I had received many offers from both All Japan and Pro Wrestling NOAH that were very appealing to me, and an offer from New Japan Pro Wrestling that was not so appealing, but I had faith in Tenryu-san, and I feel that placing that faith was the best thing to do. Akira decided that it would be a good idea for us to relocate, especially after the recent earthquakes, and we have since moved into a new home in Tokyo near the WAR Dojo, where Katsuhiko is happy to be training there for the time being.

I am currently very happy with my title run in Wrestle Association "R", and I am in good health. Shibata is a strong young talent with a lot of fire and dedication who will no doubt be very focused coming into our title match. However WAR is now my home, and I intend to represent it for a lot longer than I already have so he had better come prepared.. "

The Leader of TEAM NO FEAR! 2005 and one third of the WAR Six Man Tag Team Champions, Yoshihiro Takayama spoke briefly to press when they caught up with him inside the WAR Dojo.

"The first few results were not really all that surprising, and the match against Takaiwa and company was an example of what I feel will be a constant standard throughout the tournament. We'll prove to Masatomo that this tournament was a waste of his time yet... And you can tell Kensuke that when Fujita, Suzuki and myself have defended the Six Man Tag Titles in this tournament, that I'll be coming for his title as well."

Wrestle Association "R" President Masatomo Takei held a press conference alongside Founder Genichiro Tenryu, Akira Maeda and Bill Goldberg. Maeda revealed that he and Tenryu had been training Goldberg in the recent months and had renewed and strengthened his passion for pro wrestling. Goldberg had this to say;

"I have always been a fan of mixed martial arts, whilst also having a passion for professional wrestling. Tenryu-san had approched me before and I wasn't entirely sure if making the move to Wrestle Association "R" would be the right thing for me to do, however they invited me to the Yoshiaki Fujiwara Retirement Show; where I saw a Revolution in professional wrestling that really inspired me. Watching Ken Shamrock, Andrei Arlovski, Yoshiaki Fujiwara and Akira Maeda made me realise that this was what I wanted to do. The training I've recieved from Maeda and Tenryu has been very different from the training I had recieved in the United States. Here I have learned ways to really improve my conditioning and develop a much more careful and deliberate style that will compliment the style that I have used in the past. I understand that Japanese wrestlers have far greater conditioning and resiliance than many of the pro wrestlers in the United States, and it would be much more difficult for me to simply explode on them with high impact offence. Wrestle Association "R"! Battle Angel! Osaka! Get Ready! For Goldberg! Who's Next?!"

Takei concluded the press conference by revealing some of the matches for the remainder of the tour.

Ryuji Ito has another impressive bout and a decisive victory against veteran junior Ishinriki, using a lucharesu style as opposed to his hardcore style. He hinted at times in this bout at returning to the hardcore ways, but decided against it.

Team Takada also have a very decisive victory over a team consisting of three former Dragon Gate workers. Don Fuji was impressive in his Wrestle Association "R", however the match came to and end when Satake managed to isolate Yokosuka and catch him in the Ankle Hold.

Team Arlovski win a hard fought battle against a team consisting of three former Michinoku Pro wrestlers. K-Dojo representative Yuasa lets down his former M-Pro allumni when Murakami locks in a Cross Armbreaker, putting Team Arlovski into the quarter finals.

The big Gaijin team lead by Mike Awesome has a very physically intense battle against Revolution Warrior Choshu, legend Fujinami and WMF hopeful Garuda. Garuda proves to be the weak link when Shamrock uses his trademark Ankle Hold on him, giving the Gaijin team the big upset over two of WAR's top competitors and passage into the quarter finals.

Tenryu, Kawada and Aoyagi take on the a team of NOAH juniors who put up very strong opposition against some of WAR's and Japanese professional wrestlings top heavyweights. The weight difference between the two teams overcomes the NOAH representatives when Kawada hits the dangerous backdrop on Marufuji.
