Federer lost , so it's Gasquet, Coria, Ferrero and Nadal/Gaudio in the Semis. Can't say I really like any of those guys save Nadal, so I'm hoping Rafael wins.

At least I got to watch Venus Williams get dominated by Tatiana Golovin yesterday. . . before blaming her defeat on "mental fatigue from playing so much". Just another reminder of why I hate the Williams sisters, who never lose "legitimately" except when they play each other. I can't wait for them to retire.

It seems Nadal & Coria have made the finals, and I expect Guillermo to win, but I hope he doesn't. Since I haven't been able to watch any of those matches I don't really have much to say about how either is playing. However, ESPN is playing the Family Circle Cup tourney instead, and I have to say that even though it appears she's going to lose in a few minutes, I'm really impressed with Tatiana Golovin's game.

The next wave of tennis players (Sharapova, Kuznetsova, Golovin, Vaidisova, Ivanovic etc) don't seem to be so much about blasting the ball without remorse or thought, and kind of remind me of larger versions of Martina Hingis with their movement and shot making ability. The game will be in good hands once Davenport, Capriati, the Williamses, Mauresmo and others like them are gone, unlike the men's game which seems to only have players suited for specific courts. Aside from Nadal I don't see too many young players with an all court game, so the trend of clay or hardcourt specialists seems like it will continue and I think that sucks. . . unless you're a fan of Federer's like I am :D

Nadal is pwning Coria in all aspects of the game and Coria deserves to jump off a cliff before he is humilated anymore.

Sharapove not about blasting the ball!? :huh She hits it so hard it nearly splits into tiny pieces through her strings.

Bah, I'm beginning to lose interest in the final because Nadal is just playing so good and Coria is not coming up with ways to stop him and if he doesn't, Nadal's not going to stop.

*cough* 6-0 Coria *cough*

Also Coria didn't drop a set on his way to the final, and when he played two Frenchman and two Spaniards, who are practically born on clay courts, I wouldn't say it wasn't non dominance.

That set that Coria just played it exactly like he's been playing en route to this match...brilliance.

Heh, Coria made a good fight of it in the end, winning the set 6-0, and coming from 4-1 down to take the fourth set to a tie-breaker, but Nadal was just too good.

Whats Nadal like on grass btw? When I've seen him play this year he's been awesome, but I've not seen him on grass before (I know its mostly Wimbledon where I would have normally seen him play on grass, and I don't reacall him from last year)
