TNS vs Liverpool...maybe?

Neil Ruddock brought up a good point on YOSS last night - I'm pretty sure most clubs who will qualify for it next year will want Liverpool in it, if they're not then technically whoever wins it won't have beaten the champions.

The champions of Europe should be in the European Champions League. Simple as. This wouldn't even be discussed if it happened in Italy or Spain. Liverpool should be a seeded team in the group stages next year, not playing a playoff against some welsh team or Everton.

But, if they decide we won't be there, it won't make a huge difference in the long run. The reds are on the up again.

Was it Real or Barca that set the precedent by qualifying as winners despite finishing 5th in La Liga a few years back? I believe the syshstem (Trademark: Martin Jol) was changed since then mind.

I don't think liverpool should get in. I think in a just world the winners of the League and Domestic cups should be invovled in the Champions League. Also the UEFA and Champions League winners should both get spots.

That is a ideal world though in reality the champions league has a set standard for getting in. Liverpool did not make that standard so they should not get in. I would like to see TNS vs Liverpool only if it is @TNS and TNS would get a lot of revenue.

Why not just give Liverpool a spot.....which they have to qualify for. No seeding, nothing. They still have to play all the small clubs that no member of the team can pronounce let alone has heard of. Would that keep people happy?

I don't know much though, so it might make no sense...heh...
