WCW Monday Night Nitro

Monday, May 1st, 2006

<=:=><=:=>Intro and Pyro<=:=><=:=>

Meltzer: "Hello ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to Nitro! What a wild ride it should be tonight, wouldn't you say so Coach?

Coach: "Yes indeed, last night, Chris Jericho successfully defended the World Heavyweight title against Raven, but not before attacking Steve Austin. YOu have to know the rattlesnake is going to be just a little ticked off."

Meltzer: "In addition, the new Television champion, Sonny Siaki, will defend his title against, get this coach, Chavo Guerrero!"

"I'm Back..and Better then Ever" hits and the red hot crowd marks out for WCW owner Eric Bischoff as he makes his way to the ring, smile on his face. Bischoff gets in the ring, and grabs a microphone. Bischoff thanks the crowd, but tells them they should hold their applause for a few minutes, because he has a surprise in store for them! Bischoff says that the one thing that sets WCW apart from everyone else is Eric's ability to give the crowd exactly what they want, even when they don't know what they want. Bischoff says he was going to say more, but he simply says, "Ah hell with it...Ladies and Gentlemen, returning from his injury....MR PAY PER VIEW... ROB VAN DAM"

RVD's music hits and the crowd simply goes crazy. RVD comes out, psyched up as ever. RVD gets in the ring and does the "RVD" thumb pose before taking the microphone from Eric. RVD says that it's great to be back, and while he was bummed out he had to miss some time, he's going to get right back to where he started. RVD says that he didn't come to WCW for the money, or to reunite with old friends, he came here for one reason, and one reason only, The WCW Heavyweight title. RVD says that Chris Jericho may think that he's the best wrestling in this company, but he's never faced a wrestler on the caliber of Mr. Pay Per View, Rob Van Dam. RVD says that everyone knows he was the true MVP of ECW and that he carried them on his shoulders for years while everyone else was off making money elsewhere. RVD says that everyone knows that if "Vinnie" didn't play favorites, he would have been WWE champion along time ago. But all that is in the past, and now it's time to look to the future, and the only thing he sees in his future is two things, Green, and gold. He has plenty of Green backstage, unfortunately, the Gold he wants is around the waist of Chris Jericho. RVD calls Chris Jericho out for a match RIGHT NOW. Eric Bischoff merely is an onlooker to this whole thing.

After 10 seconds, an entrance theme hits and the arena fills up with boo's, but it's not Y2J's entrance theme...IT'S EDGE'S! EDGE emerges through the smoke, leather trenchcoat on as he makes his way to the ring. He grabs a microphone and looks directly at Eric. Edge asks Eric, "So this is how its' going to be huh?" When someone like RVD returns from injury, they get special treatment and welcomed back by the boss. But when Edge comes back, he has to drive himself to the arena and interrupt someone elses time. As for RVD, Who the hell does he think he is? Oh Wait.. Let me guess.. Edge thinks that RVD was offered title shots and main event air time. RVD shakes his head yes. Edge tells RVD that he was promised that too. Eric offers that to everyone who signs with him. Edge says that he deserves a title shot more then RVD, Edge has been here for MONTHS, RVD's been on the job for 3 days. RVD tells Edge that he needs to chill out and that no one was denying him a title shot. RVD says that perhaps they should ask Eric who deserves a title shot. Edge agrees, and they both turn to Bischoff.

<0:78%>

Bischoff stammers and studders, nothing more then a few "well's" and "hmm's" coming from him. Luckily..he's bailed out of the decision, as Y2J's pyro goes off and the champ comes out. Jericho poses on the entrance ramp before walking down to the ring. He looks at both RVD and Edge with disgust before grabbing a microphone. Y2J says that playtime is over, and it's time for all the little kiddies to stop arguing and leave the ring. Y2J tells Eric Bischoff that instead of introducing ass clowns all day, he should be out here, introducing his reigning world Champion, The highlight of the Night, Chris Jericho. Jericho says that last night, he once again overcame odds and walked away with the heavyweight title, for the 7th straight month. RVD interrupts, saying that he only won the match because of...Jericho cuts him off, and tells him to shut the hell..up. Y2J says that he was about to get to the wildcard of the match, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Jericho says that in recent weeks, him and Stonecold were apparently learning to co-exist. Austin had almost tricked Jericho, he knew what Austin was doing, He's not stupid, he knows exactly what Austin wants, his world title. The only reason Austin had became "Buddy-Buddy" with Jericho was so that Jericho would keep the world title long enough for Austin to get another shot at it. Jericho says that last night, he bit the rattlesnake, before the rattlesnake bit him.

As for these two assclowns in the ring, Jericho says that he doesn't care who he...GLASS SHATTERS!! Jericho was interrupted by the sound of Steve Austin's entrance music. The crowd goes absolutely nuts for Austin, who walks with a purpose right down the ring. Austin slides in the ring and Jericho charges at him with the world title in hand, Austin ducks the title shot, and clotheslines Jericho right out of the ring. Edge attacks Austin from behind, but back off as Austin turns around, Edge slides right out of the ring. Austin looks at RVD. RVD is standing in the corner and just holds his hands up in the air, as if he's saying he has no plans to attack Austin. Bischoff, who immediately left the ring after Austin came in, gets on the Mic. Bischoff tells them to all calm down for a second. Bischoff says that he's not going to let his show errupt into a full scale riot. Bischoff says that tonight, he's going to make 2 matches. First, RVD and Edge can settle their little dispute later tonight, because the two are going to meet, in a singles match! Second, Austin and Jericho better learn to co-exist, because tonight, they're defending their tag team titles in a 4 corners tag team elimination match! Bischoff's music hits, and the 4 continue to yell and argue at one another as we fade away to commercial break.

Meltzer: "I can't believe what we just heard, those two matches are going to happen later tonight!"

Coach: "It looks like Mr. Bischoff really has a mess on his hands!"

KONNAN VS THE AMAZING RED

Konnan makes his way out first, along with Psychosis and Juvi. A quick recap, last week on Thunder, Konnan joined The Spanish Uprising as they attacked Amazing Red, kicking him out of the group. Amazing Red comes out next to small pop, this will be a non-title match, as the cruiserweight title will not be on the line. Konnan takes the early advantage by obviously winning the test of stregnth. Konnan connects on stiff chops in the corner before whipping Red to the other corner with such force thathe hits the mat. After a body slam and standing legdrop and a two count on Red, Konnan picked up Red and whipped him into the ropes, Red came back with a huge head scissors, then a hurricanrana, Red whipped Konnan into the ropes, but Konnan came back with the rolling thunder lariat. Konnan taunted Red for a few seconds before making the one legged cover, only getting a two count.

Konnan picks up Red and connects on a huge vertical suplex, but only gets another two count. Konnan whips Red into the ropes and connects on a flapjack, but once againm only getting a two count and getting a little frustrated. Konnan whips Red into the corner, but Red scales the turnbuckles and goes up top and connects on a moonsault on a standing Konnan that gets a two count. Red hits the ropes as the crowd gets behind him a little, but Juvi grabs his foot, distracting Red. Red slingshots over the top rope onto Juvi, taking him out, Konnan goes to grab Red to pull him back in the ring, but Red pulls Konnan's head down across the top rope. Red goes to the top rope, LEGDROP CONNECTS ON KONNAN..1...2..Kickout. Red picks up Konnan and goes for a DDT, But Konnan drives him back first into the corner. Konnan gets a running start and charges at Red, but Red kicks him in the face when he comes up, Red sits on the top rope.. TORNADO DDT! Red calls for the Red Star Press, but misses! Konnan gets up, DOUBLE ARM DDT TO RED! Konnan grabs Red, TEQUILLA SUNRISE!! Konnan sits far back on Red's Back and Red has no choice but to tap out.

But it's not over yet, Konnan's not breaking the hold. Psychosis goes to the top rope..GUILLOTINE LEGDROP TO RED WHILE HE'S STILL IN THE TEQUILLA SUNRISE! The crowd is boo'ing like crazy now as all 3 members of Spanish Uprising are in the ring and it's a 3 on 1 attack on Red. Konnan and Psychosis pick up Red, and hold him while Juvi grabs the cruiserweight weight title. Juvi is yelling at Red in Spanish while holding the cruiserweight title right in Red's face and pointing to it. Konnan and Psychosis throw Red to the ground and Spanish Uprising hold their arms in the air before leaving the ring to a chorus of boo's.

WINNER: KONNAN

We come back from commercial break, and CM Punk is already in the ring, microphone in hand and a scowl on his face. Punk says that last night, an injustice occured. Last night, he was screwed out of the US Title. He was double crossed by the biggest non factor of them all. a WCW Referee. The footage of Charles Robinson fast counting CM Punk last night was shown on the tron to the delight of the fans. CM tells the crowd that he knew they'd like that, because thats the kind of people they are, cheating, double crossing, pot smoking, beer drinking swines. CM Punk says that this will not stand, because he's going to do something that no one else in this company seemingly knows how to do, take action. CM Punk says that he's asking.. now, he's DEMANDING that Referee Charles Robinson get his ass down to the ring IMMEDIATELY.

Charles Robinson emerges from the back, no entrance music and a bit nervous. He gets in the ring and stands in front of CM. CM asks him if he thinks what he did last night was right. Robinson shakes his head no. CM asks Robinson if WCW Referee's are suppose to be inpartial. Robinson shakes his head yes. CM asks him, "Then why the hell did you screw me out of the US title last night." and hands Robinson the microphone. A nervous Robinson explains that last night, CM Punk nearly got himself disqualified a number of times, and almost laid hands on him, a WCW official. In retaliation, he fast counted, wanting to get the match over with as fast as possible. He felt threatened by Punk, and didn't want to be in there any longer then he had to. Punk snatches the microphone back. CM Punk, confused, asked "You felt threatened?" CM Punk asks Robinson if he feels threatened now, and Robinson shakes his head yes. Punk says, Good, because he should be. Punk asks Robinson if Robinson thinks he's better then Punk, and Robinson shakes his head. Punk lets out a sinister chuckle before telling Robinson that at least he's right about one thing. But paybacks a bitch, and the only way he can teach Robinson a lesson, is if he beats it into him.

With that, Punk kicks Robinson in the stomach and puts him between his legs. He has him in pedigree position and just smiles to the crowd as they boo. All of a sudden, Colt Cabana comes running down the entrance ramp, and Punk see's him. Cabana slides into the ring and delivers a huge clothesline to Punk and Robinson scampers out of the ring. Cabana delivers another clothesline, and a third. Cabana charges towards Punk, but Punk rolls out of the ring. Cabana goes and checks on Charles Robinson as Punk walks backwards up the ramp, wiping blood from his busted open lip. Punk and Cabana get into a yelling match before Punk finally leaves.

The two lock up, and Guerrero takes control with a hammer lock to start it off. Helms counters with a snapmare takeover and a series of armdrags to Guerrero before applying a hammerlock of his own. Eddie muscles him over with a snapmare and applies a headlock. Helms gets to his feet and shoots Eddie into the ropes, but Eddie comes back with a huge shoulder block. Eddie goes for the three Amigos, and connects on the first two, but Helms blocks the third one and delivers a vertical suplex of his own. Eddie is starting to get up and Helms delivers a huge shining wizard that gets a two count. Helms picks up Guerrero and tries to whip him into the corner, but Eddie reverses direction and sends Helms into the opposite corner, squishing the ref in the process. Helms stumbles backwards and Eddie applies a reverse waistlock on Helms, but Helms scores on an elbow do the face and goes behind Eddie and CONNECTS ON THE NIGHTMARE ON HELMS STREET!! Helms climbs to the top rope, waiting for Eddie to get to his feet so he can connect on the somersault Neckbreaker, but Spanky comes running down the ramp and shoves Helms off the top rope while the ref is still out. Spanky grabs Helms's head and goes for SLIDED BREAD #2, but as he's running up the turnbuckles, Helms dumps him to the outside. Helms walks backwards towards Eddie, still eyeing Spanky, but he walks right into an Eddie Guerrero low blow uppercut. Eddie with a bodyslam and goes to the top rope, FROG SPLASH! The groggy ref wakes up just in time to see Eddie make the cover and picks up the "W" for the second night in a row. Eddie celebrates in the ring as the ref helps Helms to the back.

The Flock's music hits and the entire group makes their way down to the ring, heads hung as Raven leads them to the ring. Raven looks to be in a particularly bad mood, as he's directing traffic in the ring by yelling at them as he sits in the corner. Raven is handed a microphone. Raven says that first things first, all Skanks and Managers can leave the ring immediately. Torrie looks offended, but Billy urges her to leave and her and Sinister Minister walk to the back, leaving Raven, Richards, Lodi, Whipwreck, Kidman and Tajiri in the ring. Raven says that he's extremely dissapointed by those in his presence. It is because of them that last night, Raven was not victorious in becoming Heavyweight Champion. It is because of them, Raven has to concoct another plan in order to get another shot at the heavyweight title. He says that he feels surrounded by a group of worthless, losers. Stevie Richards couldn't even defeat Sonny Siaki last night and lost his title that the Flock helped him win. Worthless. And Kidman, when he's not busy sucking face with his skanky girlfriend, he's off waisting his talent by losing the cruiserweight title to guys who weigh less then a bag of sand. And then there's Sinister Creation, a tag team he took under his arms. He says that the only one living up to his expectation is Tajiri. Tajiri doesn't complain, and follows orders, something Whipwreck could NEVER do in his life. Then there's Lodi, he doesn't even want to look at Lodi, in fact, Raven tells Lodi to just get the hell out of the ring, he doesn't even want to look at him.

Lodi leaves the ring while Raven just tears him up with a piercing stare. Raven says that sometimes all you need is a little change. Sometimes, you need a new gameplan. And that's exactly what he, and the newest member of the Flock both need. Raven says that he needs someone just as sadistic, just as ingenuis, just as violent as him. He needs someone he can count on. And in return, this guy needs someone like me to watch his back, to guide him, to help him fully realize his potential. Raven presents his newest Minion of the Dark...

Whiskey Marc's music echoes throughout the arena and the crowd boo's Meltzer and Coach are in complete shock, as Raven has just recruited one of the most dangerous men in WCW. Marc slowly walks to the ring, before getting in it. He shakes Ravens hand, then Demolishes Kidman with a huge big Boot. Raven kicks Richards in the stomach, EVENFLOW!!! Both of them stare at Whipwreck, who's walking backwards, looking nervously at Raven and Marc. All of a sudden, Whipwreck is blindsided by a stiff Spinning heel kick... BY TAJIRI!! Marc picks up Whipwreck and places his hand around his neck. CHOKESLAM OVER THE TOPE ROPE TO THE FLOOR!! Raven grabs a microphone and yells "THIS IS THE DAWN OF A NEW FLOCK, A BETTER FLOCK. NO MORE LOSERS AND NO MORE DEAD WEIGHT. THIS IS FAIR WARNING TO EVERYONE IN WCW, DON'T ANGER US, DON'T CROSS US. RESPECT US, FEAR US, JUST DON'T CROSS US. QUOTE THE RAVEN...NEVERMORE."

The Flock's theme hits and Tajiri, Whiskey Marc, and Raven all leave together, with Kidman, Whipwreck and Richards all laid out.

Meltzer: "My god, I think things for Mr. Bischoff just got a little bit worse, things for WCW just got worse!."

Backstage, we see Eddie and Chavo Guerrero in their locker room. Chavo is getting ready for his match against Sonny Siaki. Eddie is in a very good mood, and keeps bothering Chavo while he's trying to lace up his boot's. Chavo tells Eddie that he only won that match because of outside interference. Eddie laughs at him, and tells him that he could beat Shane Helms with his eyes closed! Chavo says that Eddie couldn't even take off his boots with his eyes closed. Eddie tells him to stop being such a "party pooper" and to have some Eddie. Chavo tells Eddie that up next, he has a match for the WCW Television title. And after he becomes television champ, then they'lle have a good time, but for right now, he has a match to win. Chavo walks out of the locker room, a bit annoyed by Eddie. Eddie grabs a steel chair and goes after Chavo, yelling "Hey Holmes, you might need this to win!" It's apparent we have a little bit of one-upsmanship in the Guerrero camp.

Siaki makes the cover, 1...2...3 and Sonny Siaki retains the title.

After Sonny Siaki was done celebrating and left the ring, Chavo was making it to his feet. Eddie emerged from the back with chair in hand. WINNER: NO CONTEST

<M:86% C:88% O:78%>

Sting is still standing in the ring, receiving boo's from his actions. Sting grabs a microphone and holds it to his mouth, but once again doesn't say anything. After about 15 seconds and an anxious, booing crowd, Sting simply says "Boo." He smiles as the crowd boo's him. Sting finally speaks, asking the crowd if they missed him. Sting says a lot of people are wondering why the hell he's here, or how the hell he's here. People may think that Sting was under contract elsewhere, but Sting is not chained down by contracts. Sting goes wherever he pleases. And many are also wondering, why exactly is Sting here, the place where he made a name for himself back in the days before the industry was monopolized by one man. Sting says that his actions last night would best be explained by the man who could probably answer all of these questions better then he could...

The slow, dark and demented version of Eugene's theme music hits and out he comes, short hair, clean shaven, and looking a lot more vicious then before. He gets in the ring and shakes Sting's hand before grabbing a microphone. "Well well well, look who the retards are after all, all of you." He tells the crowd in a much different voice then what we're use to hearing, the crowd boo's. "For almost three years now, I've been something I'm not, I've been, the loveable, Special, Underdog wrestler, Eugene Dinsmore. And you all bought it, you all bought it like it was the hot new trend. But let me tell you something, I'm not Eugene Dinsmore. I'm NICK DINSMORE. Now you may be asking yourself, why on earth would I dress up and portray a..well, let's face it, a RETARD for so long? Well let's face it, if I just showed up one day as the man I truly am, none of you would have cared. You see, nowadays, Wrestling is all about character. No one cares how good you are in the ring if you don't know how to speak to the crowd and play them. So became someone you can all fall in love with, EUGENE. I was the cunderdog you all cheered for, that you all loved. Because after all, no one can boo someone like Eugene, now can they?

"Now you may be wondering, how the hell does a legend like Sting fit into this whole little mess?" Dinsmore looks at Sting and they talk off microphone for a minute. "Sting was the one who thought of the entire thing. He created Eugene. In fact, if it wasn't for him, I don't know exactly where the hell I would be right now. I am...I am...his Nephew. His Nephew that he took under his wing when my Mother and Father died when I was 9. He taught me all I know, about everything, including wrestling. He was the only one in the world who was here for me when I needed someone the most. "

Sting takes the microphone, "I told Nick here that when the time was right, and when we made our way to the same place in the wrestling world, we would reveal the secret, together. It seems as if my whole life is one big secret really. Who is Sting? Why is Sting here, why'd sting do this, why'd he do that? One by one, the answers all eventually get revealed. but for right now, I think you've heard enough, I think I've said enough, and I think we've made our presences known. And if not, you haven't seen the last of us."

Sting throws the mic down and Sting's music hit and the two talk in the ring for a few more seconds in front of a booing crowd before leaving.

<0:83% The fans were confused by the gimmick change (conman) of Nick Dinsmore so soon after his last one. Nick Dinsmore gained overness from this segment.>

Meltzer: "Can you believe it Coach, all this time, we've been tricked."

It looks like Chris Jericho and DDP are going to start this one out. They circle each other but then Jericho stops, looks at Austin, and flips him off. Austin comes in the ring and Jericho rolls right out of the ring and the ref starts counting him out.. Jericho's going to throw the match!!! Austin goes chasing after Jericho, who has a huge smile on his face as he walks backwards up the ramp, Austin following him. The ref is at 6 now and Austin charges towards Jericho and connects on a clothesline. Austin grabs Jericho and begans to run him back towards the ring. Right as Austin's about to throw Jericho into the ring, The ref counts them out!!!! Jericho rolls into the ring and Austin has a stunned look on his face on the outside as Lillian Garcia announces that the team of Chris Jericho and Steve Austin have been eliminated from the match via countout!! Austin looks pissed and slides into the ring. He picks up Jericho and gives him the two finger salute before giving him a stunner in the center of the ring as all 3 teams just watch from their respective corners. Austin flips each one of them off before rolling out of the ring.

Meltzer: "I don't believe it, the tag team champions are already gone from the match , we're going to have new tag team champions here tonight!"

- RATINGS -

Primetime:

WCW - 6.10

WWE - 6.04

ECW - 5.95

Another victory for WCW, but their ratings, along with ECW's did drop. This was due to their recent weekly war, which saw WCW win yet again despite not having more starpower then ECW. Last week's Thunder did a 2.72 rating.

SPRING STAMPEDE BUY RATE.

We are getting reports that Spring Stampede did a 1.16 buy rate, with an attendence of 13,359. WCW made $2.9 million in PPV revenue and a little more then $800k gate for the show. Despite what many experts called an overhyped main event, and a disappointing match between Whiskey Marc and Booker T, many are saying that Spanky and Helms actually stole the show. The general consensus is that Cabana-Punk once again put on the best match. But the biggest of all was the debut of non other then Sting! No one could believe it, and it's being called a genius move by Eric Bischoff.

RVD AND EDGE RETURN!

Rob Van Dam and Edge both returned from their injuries Monday Night and were both inserted into a program..with one another! We expect their rivalry to continue in coming weeks. WCW is very high on both of them, so we expect a high profile feud between the two.

No New Deals Yet for WCW superstars, Foley gets extension.

WCW have stil not been able to come to terms with Stevie Richards, DDP, Al Snow, Lodi or Austin Lee. We'll let you know if any more news comes up on these deals. In other news, Mick Foley has signed a new 6 month agreement with WCW.

2. He Doesn't Look so good..

Backstage, we see Stacy Keibler in a mini skirt and a cut off T-shirt walking around backstage. She turns a corner and see's Austin Aries sitting by himself in a dark area. She calls out of his name, but he doesn't respond. Finally, he asks who's there, and Stacy tells him who she is. Aries says Hi to Stacy as he stays sitting in the same dark corner. Stacy tells Aries that he isn't looking so good, and takes a look at his face, noticing his bloodshot eyes. Aries, obviously lying, tells Stacy that "they've got him running around and doing all these promotions overseas that he barely has time to sleep anymore." Stacy tells Austin that she's worried about him and asks him if there's anything wrong. Aries, once again lying, not wanting Stacy to know how much worse off he is without her, tells her that everything's "couldn't be better" and that Eric Bischoff told him that he's one of the best performers in WCW Today. Stacy asks him if he's sure nothings wrong, and once again, Aries simply says "I'm Fine". Stacy says goodbye and walks off, leaving Aries to himself, away from everyone else backstage.

3. Who the hell does this guy think he is?

Bobby Roode and Petey Williams are in the ring, ready for a fight. An unknown theme plays throughout the arena, it's a somewhat "high class" theme, (like William Regal's old WWE Theme and Chris Nowitzki's). After 10 seconds, a man comes out, in a red and white fur robe, a somewhat medium sized man, about 5' 10" and 220lbs or so, looking to be in his mid 20's hair slicked back. The slowly walks down the ramp, not even bothering to look at the fans. On the back of his robe, there is a maple leaf. He gets in the ring and shakes hands with Roode and Williams before grabbing a microphone.

Man: "For those who don't know, my name is....ATTENTION, ATTENTION, I demand Silence. Now, If you would please be quiet so I can properly introduce myself. My name is Chauncey Beckett, but for short, you can call me Chance. I hail from CranBrook, British Columbia. I am the son to a very wealthy Mother, and a father whom I'm sure your all familiar with, Sir Charles Beckett the 2nd, who is nothing short of a damn near King in my home country of Canada!"

The fans are boo'ing like crazy at this point.

Chance: "Now you may be wondering why on earth I'm out here, in front of all of...welll, all of you lower class citizens, and I'll tell you. I'm out here to start a REVOLUTION! For you see, all of my life, I have been brought up as a leader, someone who sets a fine and noble example for all to follow. As I make my WCW debut, that's exactly what I intend to be, a leader. Petey Williams, Bobby Roode, you call yourselve's Great Canadians, and I strongly, Strongly disagree. Let me ask you this, what have you done in your short while here in World Championship Wrestling?"

Williams and Roode look at one another before shrugging, signifying that they've done basically nothing.

Chance: "Yes, that's exactly what I was getting at, nothing. You're simply using your Canadian Heritage as a stepping stone to boost your career. Instead of bringing pride to your country like great Canadians of the past, you're dragging it through the soils of WCW. Under my guidance, I will turn you two around, from Heathen looking Hockey Players, to Noble Canadian Gentlemen. Join me as we celebrate our heritage together, we will once again bring pride to the great maple leaf of Canada. We shall call ourselves, The Maple Leaf High Society. And you can refer to me as Mister Chauncey Beckett, Monarch. "

Beckett's music plays throughout the arena as Roode and Williams are apparently joining Beckett's new group. Roode and Williams hold the ropes open for Beckett, who exits the ring and begans to leave the arena, Williams and Roode following behind him.

<0:75% Bobby Roode debuted his new gimmick (anti american), it got a positive response. Petey Williams debuted his new gimmick(anti american), it got a positive response. Chance Beckett debuted his new gimmick (royalty), it got a positive response. >

Booker T, you may have won the battle and defeated Whiskey Marc at Spring Stampede, but you WILL NOT win a war against the Flock."

Raven hands the microphone to Whiskey Marc

Whiskey: "You see, I may not need friends, but with guys like Raven and Tajiri watching my back, and me watching them, WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE. Me and Raven, we have a lot in common. All of our careers, we've been overlooked because of our lifestyles. We're not pretty boys, we don't give a damn about anything. This is fair warning to EVERYONE in WCW. If you don't fear us, WE WILL MAKE YOU FEAR US."

Whiskey throws the mic down and the Flock's music hits as the three leave the ring.

10. A STONECOLD INTERVIEW

We cut to a video of Stone Cold Steve Austin in a rare sitdown interview.

Meltzer: "Thank you steve for accepting to do this interview."

Austin: "Well Dave, you know me, you know I'm not the type of guy to do one of these little interviews, but Stonecold has a few things he wants to get off his chest.

Meltzer: "Alright Steve, let's start then. What do you think of Chris Jericho, the WCW Heavyweight Champion?"

Austin: "What do I think of Chris Jericho? I think that the man is a grade A JACKASS. He's let the success and fame go to his head. That dumb son of a bitch think's he's the greatest thing to happen to professional wrestling Meltzer. Chris Jericho is one of those superstars that thinks that the belt makes the man. Steve Austin is one of those superstars that knows that the man makes the belt.

Meltzer: "Speaking of the Belt, at Clash of the Champions, Rob Van Dam cost you the WCW Heavyweight title.."

Austin: "You're damn right he did, and don't think for one second I haven't forgotten. Meltzer, it seems like anytime Stone Cold has a situation in control, someone comes along and ruins it. It seems like I'm not so much surrounded by wrestlers in WCW as I am a bunch of jackasses."

Meltzer: "Is the World title the only reason you're still going at your age?"

Austin: "What kind of a question is that, ya jackass, of course it is. For nearly 10 years now, that's the only thing Steve Austin has cared about. That's the only reason why Steve Austin drags his ass out of bed every morning with sore neck and bad knees, to prove I'm the best at what I do. I won't stop until that little Measily mouthed bastard Y2J doesn't have that title around his waist."

Meltzer: "And then what?"

Austin: "I can't predict the future Meltzer, it may be next week, it may be next year, but Steve Austin WILL be WCW Heavyweight Champion. Ole' Stonecold might not be as young as he once was, but that doesn't mean I still can't whoop some ass. Meltzer, do you think Stonecold has lost a step?"

Meltzer: "Well..."

Austin: "You're damn right Stone Cold hasn't lost a step. I'm the same man I was 10 years ago, hell bent on kicking ass and winning the heavyweight title. I'm not going anywhere, and that's the bottom line, cause Stonecold SAID SO!"

We fade out to Steve Austin giving one of his sadistic looks to the camera.

Christian slides back in the ring and hits the unprettier on Chavo for good measure and Cabana and Christian get their hands raised as the victor as CM Punk and Cabana exchange words, Punk on the outside and Cabana standing on the ropes. WCW Monday Night Nitro

Monday, May 8th, 2006

<=:=><=:=>Intro and Pyro<=:=><=:=>

"I'm back...and better then ever" hits before Meltzer can even welcome us to Nitro, and out comes the boss to a warm reception from the fans. Bischoff gets in the ring and acknowledges the 4 guys who are bowing down to him in the front row before grabbing a microphone.

Bischoff: "I'm out here tonight to make a major announcement concerning the main event later this month on Sunday, May 28th at SLAMBOREE! You see, it seems like every week I'm bombarded by a superstar who thinks that he deserves a heavyweight title shot more then everyone else, it's the same exact thing every week. One week it'll be Raven, the next week it'll be Steve Austin or Whiskey Marc. And to be quite honest, none of these superstars have really outshined the pack enough for me to name a number 1 contender for Chris Jericho's heavyweight title at this point in time. That is why I've decided that.."

"BREAK THE WALLS DOWN!!!!" hits and out comes our World Champ to a plethora of boo's. Jericho does all his poses before getting in the ring and snatching the mic from Eric Bischoff.

Jericho: "Ah Eric, you really should have consulted with your World Champion before making these type of decisions. Listen junior, we both know that I've been working hard for the past year to make WCW what it is today. Because face it, without me, we wouldn't be ahead in the ratings, you definitely wouldn't be wearing that armani suit, and above all else, Chris Jericho wouldn't be the BIGGEST, Most Brightest superstar in the world Today! And it comes as no surprise to me Eric, that you want to protect your investment, you're proverbial cash cow, you're own highlight of the night, myself. So Eric, let me be the first to say, THANK YOU, for giving me this month off and not making me wrestle at Slamboree. Ole' Y2J's battery's were getting a little worn down after all, I mean I have held this title for 7 and a half months! But don't worry, I'll still make appearances for the next 3 weeks, I'll do commentary! How about it, Mr. Bischoff, that way, you don't have to worry about the ratings falling, and let's be honest with each other, we all know that without me, WCW would be nothing"

Eric snatches the microphone away from Jericho and has an angered look on his face.

Bischoff: "BEFORE I WAS SO RUDELY INTERRUPTED, let me finish. There's no way in HELL I'm giving you the rest of the month off Jericho, so you can FORGET about it. I'll get to you in a second, but for now, I'm here to announce that there will be an 8 man #1 contenders tournament STARTING TONIGHT, because right here in this very ring, CM PUNK will take on none other then STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!! The two superstars who make it to the finals of the tournament will face off at Slamboree, and the winner of that match will face YOU, Chris Jericho later in the night for the WCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!"

Jericho: "Mr. Bischoff, that's not fair, I mean, I'm the champion, I'm suppose to know who my opponent is weeks in advance, you can't do this to me! I need time to plan and prepare for my opponent!"

Bischoff: "Oh really? I can't do that?"

Jericho: "I'm Y2J Damnit, you can't treat me like all the other superstars, I'm WCW world Heavyweight Champion!"

Bischoff: "And I'm the owner of WCW and you'lle do damn well what I say, or you can find work ELSEWHERE pal. How would you like to be treading water for Mcmahon or getting busted open every night for Heyman? Huh? Now, since you felt the need to assert yourself into my business tonight, you look ready for a match. So since you need to get use to not being prepared for your matches Chris, let's make a champion vs champion match, and it'll start..right about..NOW!"

Both superstars are back on their feet and Cabana connects on an armdrag, and goes for another, but Jericho blocks it, so Cabana elbows him in the gut and connects on a sitout Hiptoss. Cabana goes to the top rope, but Jericho crotches him and climbs up top, Jericho goes for a superplex, but Cabana pushes him off and connects on a huge MOONSAULT!! Here's the cover, 1...2...2.9999 kickout!

Cabana appears frustrated after that one. Cabana picks up Jericho and sends him into the ropes and puts his head down. Jericho stops and puts Cabana's head between his legs, Jericho connects on a huge powerbomb..and then turns it into the LIONTAMER!! Jericho sits back on Cabana as he yells in pain. After 20 seconds, Cabana finally makes it to the ropes. Jericho comes charging, but he's met by a huge right hand that stuns Jericho. BEARHUG DDT connects and Cabana says it's over and calls for the Colt 45!! He lifts Jericho upfor it, but Jericho flips over and lands on his feet and powers Cabana down with a backslide, Here's the cover, but Jericho has his feet on the ropes and the ref doesn't see...1....2....3!!! Jericho quickly rolls out of the ring as Cabana is quick to his feet. The fans boo as Jericho just screwed Cabana out of what was an amazing match.

WINNER: CHRIS JERICHO

<M:100% C:92% O:96%>

Meltzer: "A great match, RUINED by Chris Jericho's inability to win cleanly.

Coach: "What are you talking about Meltzer? Y2J is the man! What a finish, what a way to outsmart Cabana!"

We come back and see Mean Gene standing alongside William Regal!

Mean Gene: "William Regal, the past month for you has been a complete wreck. You've been frantically searching for your best friend, only to find out, that he was the man behind all of your troubles in the first place."

Regal: "That's right Mean Gene. Imagine what it feels like Mean Gene, just imagine what it feels like to know that someone you looked out for, someone you cared for, one of your friends, was nothing more then a bloody fraud. Then imagine that someone you care for got kidnapped and you had to live your everyday life not being able to anything to help them. THAT WAS MY LIFE FOR THE LAST MONTH. The cut on my forehead is nothing compared to the betrayal I feel inside. But Eugee..Nick Dinsmore, if that's even who you are, you listen to me sunshine. I'm going to knock some sense back into you tonight, and I will get my revenge for the last month of agony and misery I've been put through. WILLIAM REGAL is not playing your little games anymore. No more going easy on you mate, no one's going to play nice anymore. "

<0:78%>

We cut to Eric Bischoff's office where we see Eddie Guerrero shaking hands with Eric Bischoff.

Eddie: "Mr. Bischoff, let me just say, THANK YOU HOLMES! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to prove myself in the #1 contenders tournament!"

Bischoff: "Well Eddie, I think you earned your position after beating Christian last month at the pay per view. I like to reward my superstars accordingly with how they wrestle."

Eddie: "I'm gonna win the tournament Essay, and then I'll face ..."

Chavo Guerrero comes racing through the door, obviously very angry.

Eddie: "Chavito, can't you see I'm in a meeting with our Boss, Mr. Bischoff."

Chavo: "Can it, Eddie. Eric, we have a problem. Why am I not included in the tournament? I mean, Eddie's included, and he beat Christian. I beat Christian, so I am I not in the tournament huh? You're not overlooking me AGAIN are you?"

Bischoff: "Chavo, no no no, of course not. You see, I have much bigger plans for you. I decided, that you're too good for the tournament, yeah yeah, I'm going to give YOU, Chavo Guerrero, a heavyweight title match this Wednesday on Thunder against Chris Jericho!"

Chavo: "Really? You really mean that?!"

Bischoff: "I sure do Chavo, you earned it, congratulations!"

Chavo: "Wow, I don't believe it. Eddie, did you hear that? I don't even have to be in the tournament, I'm fast tracking straight to the top amigo! And after you win the tournament, and I defeat Chris Jericho, we can face off at Slamboree to see who the better Guerrero is.. THIS IS GREAT! Thank you Mr. Bischoff, thank you!"

Chavo leaves the office with a huge smile on his face. No more then 5 seconds after he leaves, Eric and Eddie burst into laughter, as if they know there's no way in hell Chavo is going to beat Chris Jericho. Eddie pats Bischoff on the back and tells him "that was great amigo."

Backstage, we see Torrie Wilson reading the latest issue of people magazine. All of a sudden, Billy Kidman walks into her dressing room.

Torrie: "What the hell are you doing? This is the women's lockeroom!"

Billy: "I know babe, just hold on one second. I've thought about what I did last week, and I'm really really really sorry. You mean the world to me Torrie, and I was being selfish and only thinking about myself. You mean the world to me Torrie, I didn't mean to disrespect you in any way darling. Please, please, forgive me?"

Torrie: "You really mean that?"

Torrie quickly snaps back to reality

Torrie: "I mean..TOO BAD Billy. I don't accept your apology, because, well, I have a new man now Billy. Yeah, I have someone who needs me more then you. Someone who knows my value and importance. Someone who cherish's my company and doesn't just use me to do all their work."

Billy: "A NEW MAN? WHO?"

Torrie: "Umm... I'm not going to tell you who, you're just going to try to beat him up, and he'll go to jail because he's bigger then you and He can Kick Your ASS Billy."

Billy: "Oh really? Well tell your new man, whoever it may be, that I'm willing and ready to step into the ring with him whenever he wants to!"

Torrie: "See Billy, there you go again, only caring about yourself and trying to further YOUR career and NOT MINE! Now Get out!"

Kidman goes stomping out of Torrie's locker room angry, leaving Torrie with a devilish smile on her face.

WHISKEY MARC AND TAJIRI VS BOOKER T AND RUCKUS

Whiskey Marc and Tajiri make their way out to the ring first, Raven leading the way. It's all boo's for the Flock as they're in the ring waiting for their opponents. Ruckus's music hits and the crowd pops for Ruckus. Ruckus awaits at the bottom of the ramp for his partner. Booker T's music hits the Booka man gets an absolutely huge response from the crowd. Book's wearing a protective mask to cover his nose after it was broken last Thursday at the hands of a Flock attack. Book and Ruckus enter the ring and here we go, Book and Marc and Ruckus and Tajiri exchanging blows. Book and Marc quickly spill to the outside, leaving Tajiri and Ruckus in the ring. Tajiri goes to Kick Ruckus, Ruckus catches his leg, spins him around and hits a backheel kick to the back as he's spinning. Ruckus goes for a standing moonsault and misses, Tajiri tries one and misses as well and Ruckus connects on a dropkick to the face. On the outside, Booker reverses Marc's irish whips and sends Marc over the barrier. The two fight up into the crowd, delivering shots to one another. Raven follows them and attacks Booker from behind, allowing Whiskey to take the upperhand and throw him back over the barrier to ringside. In the ring, Tajiri ducks a spinning heel kick from Ruckus and delivers on a huge thrust kick of his own that sends Ruckus reeling to the ropes. Tajiri connects on a cross body that sends the two up and over the outside at the same time Booker and Marc finally get into the ring.

Marc pokes Booker in the eyes and connects on a body slam. Marc hits the ropes and bounces off, getting huge elevation on a legdrop. Marc makes the cover, but only gets a two count. On the outside, Ruckus has just irish whipped Tajiri into the ring steps, which dislodge and fall to the side of the ring at the impact. Tajiri holds his legs. Booker has started to fight back in the ring, connecting on blows to the midsection of Whiskey Marc. Book tries to run to the ropes, but Marc pulls him down by the hair. Whiskey picks him up and rams him back first into the corner before whipping him into the other corner with such force Booker hits the ground. Ruckus is standing on top of the rail on the outside and jumps off, but Tajiri connects on a huge heel kick right underneath the chin. Both lay on the ground on the outside. In the ring, Marc connects on a huge belly to belly suplex, but only gets a two count. Marc shoots Book into the ropes, but Book comes back with a flying axehandle. Book gains momentum now and connects on a couple kicks to the chest and a spinning heel kick that floors Marc. Book kicks Marc in the gut to double him over and heads towards the ropes, but he's met by a huge springboard dropkick by Tajiri! Tajiri delivers stiff kicks that echoe throughout the arena to a fallen Booker T. Marc has the referee distracted in the ring, not that the rulebook wasn't thrown out a long time ago or anything.. Raven picks up Ruckus on the outside and drives his face directly into the ring step placeholder with a huge evenflow DDT.

Booker T fights his way back up in the ring and reverses an irish whip, but Tajiri comes right back with a handspring back elbow. Marc says it's over, and picks up Booker T, looking for the Dominator, but Book slides right off his shoulder. But there's Tajiri to quickly conect on a roundhouse kick the head of Booker T. Book turns around groggily, only to walk right into Whiskey Marc, who connects on the dominator for the 1-2-3 Victory. Raven gets in the ring as the fans boo like crazy, a dominant victory for The Flock here tonight, although the sides were uneven. Some bad officiating here by the referee, who never even got this one under control.

Backstage, we see Colt Cabana, and he's tiptoeing around in someone's locker room. The faint sound of water running can be heard in the background. Cabana grabs a duffle bag and takes off running out of the locker room. 5 seconds later, Punk comes out of the shower, towel around his head and his waist. Punk looks around, and notices his duffle bag is gone. He runs out of the room into a rather busy hallway, where people are just looking at him. Punk yells out Cabana's name really loud, and runs down the hallway a bit, he see's Christian and starts yelling

Punk: "Hey Christian, where the hell did your buddy Cabana go with my bag?"

Christian: "I didn't see him, I haven't seen him all night."

Punk: "Christian, Don't you lie to me!"

Christian: "I'm not lying, I don't know where he is"

Punk: "Great, Just Great. What the hell am I suppose to wear tonight for my match?!"

Punk walks back to his locker room, with Christian busting out in laughter. Cabana comes walking back with the bag.

Cabana: "Did he buy it?"

Christian: "Of course he did, what are you even going to do with his stuff?"

Cabana: "Ohohoho, I've got grand plans for a bag full of rising Superstar CM Punk's personal belongings!"

Christian: "Ebay?"

Cabana: "How'd you know?!"

We fade out with Christian slapping Cabana on the back and the two walking out of view of the camera laughing.

We come back, and we see Edge standing by with Mean Gene.

Mean Gene: "Edge, we just found out that next week on Nitro, you'lle be in action for a first round match for the #1 contenders tournament..."

Edge: "That's news to me Mean Gene. Well, it's not really news, because we all know that I DESERVE to be in this tournament. Let's face it, I practically carried Matt Hardy on my shoulders through our feud and gave the guy a lucky win because I didn't want him to go back to the internet and start whining about me some more. But in the end, it all works out, because it's ME who gets he opportunity to for a chance at the WCW Heavyweight title. It's my time to shine, and nobody's going to take that away from me Mean Gene, NOBODY. I don't even know who my first round opponent is and I don't care. I'm going to win this damn tournament, and...well well well, look who it is, "Mr. Monday Night" Rob Van Dam. Let me guess, you're my opponent huh?"

Rob Van Dam walks into the picture and the crowd goes nuts.

RVD: "Dude, Chill out. Maybe you should get yourself checked out by a doctor, all that sarcasm and angst can't be good for your blood pressure. And yeah, you guessed right, next week, me and you are stepping into the ring again, and this time, Some doofus in face paint and a trench coat isn't going to save you. I mean, I practically had you beat last week if it wasn't for Sting, who decided to interrupt our little match."

Edge: "Had me beat? What are you smoking pal? You had no one beat. In fact, The way I see it, Sting did you favor. If you were in that ring for another minute with me, you would have hurt yourself doing one of your stupid little flips."

RVD: "Hey listen man, I may be smoking something, but don't criticize me for being able to do twice the moves in the ring that you can. Everybody knows that I'm Mr. Pay Per View, and when you watch RVD, You get exactly what you paid for, because I am the WHOLE DAMN SHOW. That's all I got to say really..so you can go back to your little spiel now if you want, but I just looked out in the arena and dude, I gotta tell you, your segments are starting to be the designated piss break of the show, so good luck with that and all"

RVD walks away, leaving Edge standing there with an angry look on his face.

NICK DINSMORE VS WILLIAM REGAL

William Regal hits the ring first, still sporting a bandaid on his forehead from the attacks he received last Sunday. The crowd appears to be solidly behind him. Dinsmore's music hits and the crowd is all over him as he makes his way to the ring wearing a STING mask?! He takes off the mask and throws it to the crowd, laughing, what the hell was that all about? Collar and Elbow tieup and Dinsmore takes control with an armringer, but Regal quickly reverses with an armringer of his own and takes Dinsmore to the ground. Regal applies a rear headlock. Dinsmore finally gets some offense when he connects on a back suplex. Dinsmore hits the ropes and comes back with a running knee smash to the side of the face of Regal. Dinsmore makes the cover, but only gets a two count. Dinsmore irish whips Regal and uses Regal's momentum against him as he comes back by throwing him over the top rope. Regal picks up Dinsmore, but Dinsmore connects on a Chinbreaker. Dinsmore goes for an acecrusher, but Regal pushes him off. Regal connects on the wraparound neckbreaker. Regal applies THE REGAL STRECH!!! Wait...Dinsmore's feet are under the ropes..and the ref doesn't notice it. After 15 seconds, Dinsmore finally taps out, fearing the risk of injury. Yet again, more shoddy referee'ing here tonight.

Regal celebrates his win in the ring after the match. The lights dim a little, and Sting's music begans playing. Regal turns his attention toward the entrance ramp. The lights turn back on and the music stops. Regal turns around, and runs right into a steel chair courtesy of Nick Dinsmore. Dinsmore has laid Regal out here tonight, this one definitely isn't over!

We come back, and Spanky is in the ring incoherantly rambling, obviously a bit drunk.

Meltzer: "Well folks, welcome back to Nitro, and apparently Spanky has taken it apon himself to interrupt our broadcast and ramble in the ring. He's been in there for a couple minutes now."

Coach: "This guy is an absolute idiot, he's not even scheduled for the show."

Spanky: "And then of course, there's all of you who thinks that I should tuck my tail between my legs and run away because Helms beat me. Well let me tell you something, you jackasses, I'm not going to do that, BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A TAIL! Spanky doesn't take a loss and walk away without redemption."

Meltzer: "He just goes on and on doesn't he Coach?"

Spanky: "No, I don't, in fact, I do the opposite, I fight back. So Helms, get out here now, so I can teach you a lesson, just like my dad use to teach me, except I don't have a belt to take off and hit you with. Either way, get out here now BOYYY"

Spanky waits 10 seconds and nothing happens.

Spanky: "Yeah, that's right, you're scared, you're chicken, you're yella. You know that win over my was a fluke, you can't beat the True Spanky. I'm the greatest wrestler ever and..and..and..."

Matt Hardy's music hits and the crowd goes absolutely nuts as Matt makes his return here to WCW after his honeymoon Hiatus. Matt walks right down to the ring and grabs the microphone from Spanky.

Matt: "Spanky, listen to me. Shane Helms isn't here, he's off doing promotional work in Australia. You need to go to the back and take a nap or something, you're not fit to be out here"

Spanky: "Shutup Jeff Hardy. Go back to your wife, Maria, or Lita, or whoever the hell you're marrying nowadays anyways. You've gone soft Matt, just leave and go back to watching Just Shoot Me with your wife, you're not a wrestler anymore, you're weak. I can beat you right now if I wanted to."

Matt: "Listen man, You've had a bit too much to drink. Now, I know you tried to interrupt my wedding and even hurt one of my best friends, but Spanky man, just listen to me.."

Spanky: "No you listen to me. The only reason I had to drink was because I saw your wife backstage and had to drink so she'd look better and then I could try to hook up with her and..."

Matt had heard enough at that point. Matt kicks spanky in the stomach and delivers the twist of fate, and Spanky is out cold. Hardy's music hits and he poses on the top turnbuckle as the crowd goes wild for the returning Matt Hardy!

Punk is slow to get to his feet and turns around and walks right into a kick to the stomach, a stunner and a 1-2-3 Steve Austin pinfall victory. - RATINGS -

Primetime:

WCW - 6.16

WWE - 6.10

ECW - 5.96

WCW's ratings climb back up as all 3 promotions gain a bit of ground. In other news, Thunder did a 2.63 rating last week.

RUMOR KILLER

Rumors have surfaced that WCW may be in contacts with Billy Gunn. These rumors are false. Gunn currently has an open contract with TNA, but WCW simply have no interest in bringing him in.

WCW HANDS OUT PINKSLIPS THIS WEEK

WCW made some releases this week to slim down their roster. Austin Lee was released due to creative not having anything for him. HC Loc and Tony Devito were also released, but because they do not fit the style of WCW and were having a hard time getting over with the fans. Paul Ellering was released through a mutual agreement with both parties, and the door is open for his return in the future. The Briscoe brothers were another tag team released this week, WCW was having a hard time finding a gimmick that would suit them. Lodi was released this week as well, as he was unhappy with the direction his character has taken, or hasn't taken in recent months. Rumored to be released were Al Snow and The Backseat Boyz, but due to the Trent Acid and Johnny Cashmere's good showing on Thunder, they were not cut. WCW and Al Snow are still negotiating a new deal, his current one expires at the end of June.

AMAZING RED: Demoted down to the Midcard

Despite being the cruiserweight champion, The Amazing Red has been demoted down to the midcard due to lack of charisma. We don't think this will affect his run as Cruiserweight champ.

CHAVO AND CHAVO GUERRERO: Promoted to Uppermidcard

Chavo Guerrero is being promoted to the upper midcard after his fantastic work in recent weeks. WCW officials are really high on Chavo at this time. In other news, Eddie Guerrero has regained his uppermidcard spot as well. Eddie's character went a little bit stale a couple months ago, which was reasons for his demotion, but it seems as though all is well now.

CHANCE BECKETT DEBUTS!

former Atlantic City Wrestling Trainee Chance Beckett made his debut last Thursday on Thunder as Chauncey Beckett, who hails from a Rich Canadian Royalty background. We personally can't wait for Beckett to show off his skils in the ring, some experts are saying he's the fastest, most technical superstar they've seen in years. We'll see how it goes!
