- RATINGS -

Primetime:

WWE - 6.08

WCW - 5.67

ECW - 5.49

Nothing new here. It should be noted that Thunder did a 2.66 rating last week, which is fair enough.

Jimmy Jacobs - Now a low-midcarder

Jimmy Jacobs, a member of generation Now, has received a small push from opener to the low-midcard position despite his recent bashing of several superstars in a radio interview. WCW Management is very high on Jacobs at the moment, as he as seen as a superstar that could be on the same caliber as WWE's Paul London

WCW wins battle with ECW yet again

WCW, currently at 26% PI global, embarked in another weekly war with ECW. While ECW still has star power over WCW, WCW's better works and more professional broadcasts forced ECW down a mere 7% Global PI, which is only 2% more then what they started out with when the company opened. Interestingly enough, WCW no longer fears ECW as a threat to business.

it was good man, I saw met em down in Portland and traveled to Vancouver, Seattle and Spokane with them before I had some friends drive me home. The reason was, because their regular film guy couldn't get up into Canada because he couldn't find his birth certificate and whatnot, so they just gave him a week off. I don't want to get too off-topic though and start up a discussion about it in my diary's thread, but I had fun. Maybe I'll make a topic and post some pics eventually

WCW THUNDER

Wednesday , April 12th, 2006

<=:=><=:=>Intro and Pyro<=:=><=:=>

Meltzer: "Hello everyone and welcome to thunder, what a fantastic show we have for you tonight. Get this Brain, our rematch is a Nitro rematch between Chavo Guerrero and Christian! And Eddie Guerrero has been barred from ringside!

Heenan: "What a match Meltzer, What a match. It's time for the younger guerrero to step out of his big brothers shadow!"

Meltzer: "But we kick things off with a television title matchup!"

1. Jimmy Jacobs vs Steven Richards©, TV Title match

Jacobs got a very small ovation when he came out. As soon as the Flock's music hit, the crowd was all over Richards, who came out with Lodi at his side. Jacobs gained the early advantage and went to work with a dropkick and a clothesline that sent Richards to the outside. Lodi consoled Richards before getting back in the ring and eventually taking control of the matchup with chops in the corner and a vertical suplex. At midmatch, Jacobs tried to rally and got the crowd behind him as he built up a bit of steam. Jacobs hit the ropes, but Lodi grabbed the foot, which distracted Jacobs. Jacobs slingshotted onto Lodi and got back in the ring, but Richards too control and connected on a double underhook suplex which got a two count. The resilliant Jacobs fought back again with blows to the midsection, ducked a stevie kick attempt and connected on a running forearm smash as he built momentum. Jacobs connected on a standing legdrop after a bodyslam. Jacobs signalled for the contra code, but Richards shoved him into corner after he grabbed Richards head. Richards with a schoolboy and he grabs the tights for the 1-2-3 pinfall victory. After the match, Jacobs looks disappointed as the crowd is absolutely pissed at Richards, who has managed to get away tonight with his title.

WINNER: Steven Richards

2. Justification

Backstage, we see Eric Bischoff in his office, filling out some paperwork. There's a knock at the door, it's commissioner Mick Foley. They greet one another and Foley asks him why he called him to his office. Bischoff reveals that after Foley fired Steiner, some of the guys in the back have been on edge, fearing for their jobs and think Foley may have gone too far. Foley says that it's ridiculous and he doesn't plan on firing everyone he has a problem with. Bischoff says that he completely agreed with Foley, and that he never liked Scott Steiner anyways. Bischoff asks Foley if he'll go to the ring later tonight and assure all the guys in the back that he's not a power hungry commissioner. Foley seems a bit unethusiastic about the proposal, telling Bischoff that as long as he (bischoff) is happy with him, he doesn't feel a need to justify himself. Bischoff says he agrees, but would just appreciate it if Foley went out there for a couple minutes and addressed some concerns. Foley agrees, and leaves Bischoff's office without a very enthusiastic look on his face.

3. It's NOT my fault

Mean Gene Okerland is standing by backstage with Sean O'Haire. Mean Gene asks Sean the burning question, what is his involvement with the kidnapping of Eugene. O'Haire says he's angry that everyone has pointed the finger at him right from the get-go. He said that he's Eugene's friend and to see that video on Monday of Eugene in a cellar was a real sad moment for him. O'Haire begans to even choke up a bit during the interview, but regains composure. He says that he's appauled that people would actually think that he's that sadistic. He then questions if Okerland thinks he's that sadistic, and Okerland says he thinks there's evidence pointing to O'Haire's involvement. O'haire says that he wouldn't be surprised if William Regal is behind all of this in some way, after all, Regal has plenty reason to do it. He says that Regal never gets any attention between the duo, as everyone is in love with Eugene. Furthermore, if Regal was to get rid of Eugene, he wouldn't have to play a babysitter role that was given to him as an assignment in the first place. O'Haire closes the interview by saying that he'll conduct an investigation of his own, because Regal's "half ass antics" just aren't doing it.

4. Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis vs Ruckus and Homicide

Before the match starts, Meltzer said that the team who wins this could possibly be in line for a tag title shot. Ruckus and Homicide get great response from their crowd as their rap theme blares throughout the arena. Juvi and Psychosis come out next and the crowd doesn't care much for them. Ruckus and Juvi start this one off at lightning pace. Juvi gains control following a huge flying wheel kick to a running Ruckus. Juvi makes the tag to Psychosis, and the two connect on a double team legdrop, Psychosis connecting on one across the throat and Juvi connecting on one between the legs. Psychosis scores on a snapmare and a kick right to the back, and hits the ropes and connects on a dropkick right to the face and gets an early two as Homicide breaks it up. Ruckus counters a front headlock by shooting Psychosis into the ropes and connects on a spin kick. Both stars go down, and Ruckus makes the tag to Homicide, but the ref didn't see it as Juvi was distracting him by trying to enter the ring. Double team on Ruckus as Homicide argues with the ref, who stopped him from coming in the ring.

Juvi takes full control of an exhaused Ruckus, until Ruckus fights back, and finally connects on a DDT. Ruckus makes the hot tag to Homicide, who comes in like a house of fire, putting both Juvi and Psychosis down. Homicide connects on a stiff clothesline to Juvi and goes for piledriver on Psychosis, but Juvi breaks it up. Homicide continues to tear through the duo. Juvi goes to attack Homicide from behind, but Ruckus spears him through the ropes and the two go tumbling to the outside. Homicide connects on an overhead belly to belly on Psychosis and says it's over. Psychosis slips something over his right hand as Homicide picks him up. Homicide goes for a powerbomb, but Psychosis nails him right in the head with a huge shot and Homicide goes down, out cold. Psychosis makes the cover as Juvi holds Ruckus's leg, not letting him make the save. Psychosis scores the pinfall 1-2-3 and scurries to the outside, He slides a pair of brass knucks back in his shorts as Meltzer yells about how wrong it is. Juvi and Psychosis celebrate on the outside as Ruckus checks on his partner.

Winners: Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis

5. Wedding Crashers.

Shane Helms comes out to a great response from the crowd, as he's dressed in tophat and suit. Helms gets on the mic and says that he's deeply disturbed that someone would actually try to crash his best friend Matt Hardy's wedding. And who is this outrageous person? None other then Spanky, the "annoying, attention seeking little boy, playing in the big man's land." Helms said that Spanky had no right to even be there Monday Night, let alone interfere in Maria and Matt Hardy's biggest night of their life. Spanky comes out and the crowd gets on him quickly. Spanky explains that he's sick and tired of everyone elses shenanigans, so he decided to pull some of his own. Helms told him that it may be a wrestling show, but there's more to it then just competition. Spanky says that he's here to eliminate the non-sense and bring "real" wrestling back to America. He says that over in Japan, a place that he's considered "the best in the wrestling world today," pro wrestling shows don't contain any weddings or sillyness. That it's all pure competition by the worlds best. Spanky says that's what he wants American wrestling to be like. Helms interrupts, saying if he wanted competition, to come down to the ring and have a match with him tonight. As Helms begans taking his suit off, Spanky tells him that he's simply too big of a star to perform on a feeble wednesday night broadcast, and that if he wanted to face him, he'd have to do it at a much bigger event, like Spring Stampede. Helms challenges him to a match at the pay per view, and Spanky agrees, but warns Helms he's not just another flash in the pan. Helms counters, telling spanky that he may not be a flash in the pan, but he sure is a pain in the ass! Helms music hits as the crowd laughs and Spanky loses it at the top of the ramp.

6. Laying out the plan

Backstage, we see Generation Next all hanging out. Birchall and Evans look ready for a fight. Stacy says that tonight is Generation Next's night, as Birchall and Evans are going to stop Shelley and Chris Sabin dead in their tracks tonight. But then, Austin Aries, the gem of Generation Next, is going to bring home the cruiserweight title after he defeats Amazing Red. Evans tells Aries that he doesn't have to worry about Alex Shelley, because tonight, He's going do moves to Shelley that Shelley only thought existed in video games. Aries puts over Evans as the best high flyer in the world, but then proclaims himself as the best pure athlete in the world, as well as the best wrestler. Stacey agrees with him, and the two share a kiss. Aries tells Stacy that tonight he's going to bring home the gold for her. Aries slaps hands with Birchall and Evans before the two leave for their match. Aries asks Stacy, "Now where were we?" and the two go back to their makeout session.

7. He can dig it.

Backstage, we see Booker T with mean Gene. Booker T cuts Mean Gene off midquestion by yelling out Whiskey Marc's name. He says that at Spring Stampede, Marc's going to see a new side of Booker T, a meaner, more violent side. Right as he says, "The Bookaman aint no pushover," Whiskey Marc blindsides him from the side, and the two go tumbling to the ground. Marc mounts Booker and begans hammering away, but Booker quickly reverses the situation and starts hammering on Marc. Finally, road agents break the mess up, and Booker and Marc exchange words with one another as security and road agents try to keep the situation under control and keep the two men apart.

<0:84%>

8. Jack Evans and Paul Birchall vs Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin

Sabin and Shelley get a good response. The crowd was pretty dead for Evans and Birchall. Evans starts out against Sabin, and Evans, being a cocky white-rapper wannabe, begans talking trash to Sabin and slaps him in the face. From there, it was all downhill for Evans, as Sabin simply hammered on him in the ring. Sabin made a tag to Shelley, who came in and began working the legs of Evans, which is a genius move by Shelley as it could keep the high flyer grounded. Shelley connects on a straight jacket neckbreaker and goes for the pin, but only gets a two count as Birchall breaks it up. Shelley sends Evans into the ropes, but Evans comes back with almost a double rotation spinning wheel kick. Evans gets the tag to Birchall and the monster  hits the ring and starts dominating Alex Shelley, connecting on a atomic drop then a press slam to the outside! Sabin tried to attack Birchall from behind, but Birchall hiptossed him right up and over the top rope onto Shelley! Birchall hit the ropes, and then flew as the big man connected on a no hands plancha to the outside onto the two, which absolutely wowed the fans. Evans goes to the top and asks the crowd if they want to see him fly. As all 3 men on the outside get to their feet, Evans jumps off the top rope, doing 1 1/2 backflips as he lands on the three. Evans looks out of it after that one, he obviously botched that move.

Birchall throws Shelley back in the ring, but only gets a two count. After another minute of domination, Shelley finally scores some offense, connecting on a facebuster onto the knee as Birchall put his head down following an irish whip. Tags made to Sabin, who goes to work on Birchall with chops to the chest, which seemingly do nothing, but a kick to the stomach and a DDT did! Evans goes to breakup the pin, but Sabin gets off of Birchall and Evans connects on a springboard dropkick..to Birchall! Shelley clotheslines Evans over the top rope and the two go fighting into the crowd. Sabin goes for Cradleshock on the big man in the ring, but that's just not going to work. Birchall shoots Sabin into the ropes and hits on a huge boot to the face. Birchall, in an impressive showing that wowed the crowd again, connects on a huge C4!!! Standing shooting star press onto Sabin and Birchall obviously gets the 1-2-3 Victory. After the match, Birchall places one foot on Sabin's chest and scans the crowd as they boo. Evans and Shelley are no where to be found, they've simply disappeared!

WINNERS: Jack Evans and Paul Birchall

9. The Commish responds

Mick Foley makes his way to the ring to a phenominal response. Foley gets in the ring and says he's out here to dispell some rumors. First off, Mick Foley has no intentions on firing anyone for losing a match or getting on his badside, he's not that kind of person. He says that as long as the guys in the back keep working hard and putting on great matches, there shouldn't be any more firing. He explains that what happened last week was an entirely different issue. Someone lied to him, and lying is something he will not tolerate. He says you can cheat in your matches and you can be a "bad guy" if you want, but there's two things you can't do in WCW under Foley's watch. You can't lie to him, and you can't no show to your matches. Foley says that he's a peoples commissioner, and he does the best he can to give the fans exactly what they want while still trying to keep all the boys in the back happy.

All of a sudden, Colt Cabana's music hits and the crowd goes NUTS! Cabana makes his way to the ring in comedic fashion, US Title on his shoulder. Cabana gets in the ring and offers his hand to Foley, but as Foley was about to shake it, Cabana pulled it back and ran it through his hair. Foley laughed as Cabana smiled and pointed at him like he was saying "I gotcha!". Cabana asks for the mic and Foley gives it to him. Cabana tells Foley that he likes Foley because Foley can take a joke, he's a man with a sense of humor. But Cabana says Foley knows when to put all joking aside and when it's time to get down to business, Foley knows what he's doing. Foley says that he thinks he knows where this is going, to save both of them a little time, he asks if it has anything to do with CM Punk. Cabana looks a little shocked, and then goes, "Punk, who's talking about Punk, I want Jericho!" The crowd, as well as Foley is a bit confused by that one. After about 10 seconds of the two looking at one another, Cabana goes, "Just kidding, yeah, I want Punk." Foley and the crowd laugh at that one. Foley tells Cabana that he's a good kid, and he hated to see what CM Punk did to him at the clash. Foley says that Cabana and Punk is a match that puts asses in seats, and as long as those asses want to see it (crowd cheers), they can have it. Foley books Colt Cabana against CM Punk in a one on one match for the US Title...at Spring Stampede. Cabana thanks Foley for his time, and reminds him that if he ever goes to Chinatown, not to eat the chicken chow mein. The crowd laughs as Foley confusedly laughs, not sure he understood the joke as Cabana leaves the ring a happy man.

<0:95% Mick Foley gained overness from this segment. >

10. Austin Aries vs The Amazing Red©, Cruiserweight title match

Aries makes his way out with Stacy and gets some audible boo's from the crowd, but those turn to cheers when Stacy steps through the ropes. Red comes out next to a mixed reaction. Aries looks good in the early going, slowing Red down with a headlock and a leg submission on the mat. Red fights back out of the slow and methodical style of Aries and connects on a series of armdrags to Aries, followed by a leg lariat. Red goes for the pin after a backflip splash, but only gets a two. Stacy shouts encouragement to Aries as Red has now taken control. Red goes for a hurricanrana, but Aries countered with a sitout powerbomb that got two. Aries went up top, but Red caught him with a kick to the head. Red went up top as well and connected on the super inverted hurricanrana, but Aries got his foot on the ropes at the last second after the pin. Red hits the ropes, but Aries bounces up and connects on a huge back body drop. Aries connects on the pendulum swinging elbow, but only gets a two. Aries goes to the top rope following a bodyslam, and looks for the 450,  but misses as Red Rolls out of the way.

Red goes with an inside cradle, but Stacy gets on the apron and the ref is distracted with dealing with her.  All of a sudden Alex Shelley jumps the guard rail and hit the ring. Shelley goes over to Aries and connects on Shellshock  in the ring, before taking off again through the crowd as Red tries to grab the ref's attention. The referee turns around as Stacy just had to witness Shelley's interference. Red connects on the Red star press and makes the cover, getting the 1-2-3 as a disapppointed Stacy can only watch on the outside. After the match, Red celebrated for a minute or so before leaving the ring. Aries gets to his feet and consoles with Stacy, who looks a bit disappointed that Aries has now lost two title matches in the span of 3 days!

WINNER: The Amazing Red

11. Christian vs Chavo Guerrero

The fans are in for a real treat tonight, as these two never cease to amaze. Chavo gets huge heat from the crowd. He's only been back a short while, but he's picking up right where he left off. Christian out next and the fans go absolutely nuts. Chavo with the upperhand in the early going, as he takes control with a series of right hands and a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Christian fights back with shots to the midsection later in the match, but his hope spot is quickly killed by a dropkick by chavo after Christian bounced off the ropes. Chavo only gets a two count. Chavo goes up top, but Christian catches him and connects on a superplex to take control of the matchup. Inverted Facelock backbreaker by Christian gets a two count. Christian goes up top, looking for the crossbody, but Chavo rolls through, getting a two count. Chavo whips Christian into the ropes and puts his head down, but he's met by a kick to the face and a huge clothesline. Christian connects on the inverted DDT and only gets a two count. Christian picks up Chavo and goes for the unprettier, but Chavo shoves him into the corner. Chavo puts Christian in the tree of woe and connects on a huge running knee to the gut. Two Count by Chavo as he uses the ropes for illegal leverage on the pin. Chavo picks up Christian and connects on the kneeling shoulderbreaker and goes to the top rope. Chavo looks for a moonsault, but misses as he goes crashing to the mat. Christian picks him up and goes for the unprettier again, but chavo breaks free and applies a reverse waistlock. Chavo jumps onto Christian shoulders and goes for the pin via victory roll. 1..2..3!!! Christian breaks out of the pin right after the ref counts the three. Chavo rolls out of the ring and Christian is shocked. He can't believe he just lost to Chavo. Better yet, Chavo can't believe he won as he holds his neck on the outside as the ref raises his hand the victor.

Meltzer: "Good evening ladies and gentlemen and what a nitro it should be, isn't that right coach?"

Coach: "What a night it should be, our disfunctional tag team champions are in action here tonight!"

Meltzer: "That will certainly be one hell of a match Coach, but let's get down to the ring for our first action of the night!"

KIDMAN VS RUCKUS

Ruckus makes his way down to the ring and gets a decent ovation as he's flying solo tonight. The sound of the Flock's eerie music hits the pA System. Kidman comes out, but he's not alone, as the entire flock is with him! Kidman gets in the ring as the flock surrounds the ring, and things aren't looking good for Ruckus already. Kidman takes early control of the match with an eyepoke. Everytime Ruckus tries to mount offense, one of the members of the flock on the outside provide distraction or grab his leg, and Ruckus kept taking his focus off of Kidman, which allowed Kidman to get several nearfalls. Ruckus connected on the razzle dazzle in the corner after he reversed an irish whip. He set Kidman up top and went for the a superplex of some sort, but Lodi got on the apron, distracting him momentarily, which allowed Kidman to throw him off the top rope. Kidman scores on the Shooting star press for the 1-2-3 victory, but this one's far from over, as the flock as hit the ring and is surrounding Ruckus.

Winner: Kidman

<M:92% C:77% O:84%>

Lodi and Steven Richards of the flock hold Ruckus's arms as Raven grabs a microphone. Raven says that the flock has been ignored in recent weeks, they've been put on the back burner. Raven reminds everyone that the Flock is the largest, most organized group in WCW, and at the snap of his fingers, his "rabid dogs" could destroy anyone, even Chris Jericho. Raven said that when he looks at Ruckus, he see's Chris Jericho. When he looks at anyone that isn't his minion, all he see's is Chris Jericho. All of a sudden, Raven kicks Ruckus in the stomach and delivers The Raven Effect, and Ruckus hits the ground. Raven yells something at Tajiri and Whipwreck, and they go to the outside.. and get a table! They set the table up and Raven climbs ands sits on the top turbuckle. Lodi and Richards pick Ruckus up and put him in Raven's shoulders. Raven delivers a huge powerbomb onto Ruckus off the top rope through the table. Ruckus convulses in pain as Raven laughs evilly while on his hands and knees on the canvas. He grabs the microphone and sits back in the corner. Raven says that next Sunday, that will be Chris Jericho's lifeless body laying in the center of the ring and a new champion will be crowned. Raven says that Chris Jericho can keep ignoring him, playing tag team partners with Steve Austin, but the fact of the matter is that we're looking at the new WCW World Champion, Quote the Raven, Nevermore.

<=:=><=:=>Commercial Break<=:=><=:=>

We come back and we see Eddie and Chavo Guerrero hanging out back in their lockerroom. Chavo slaps Eddie on the chest and asks him if he's ready for six man tag match tonight. Eddie kinda shrugs it off as if he's not interested. Chavo starts talking about last thursday, how he gloriously beat Christian on Thunder. Eddie reminds him that the jury was still out and that Eddie believed the ref may have counted a bit too fast. Chavo looks offended, and tells Eddie that he's just jealous that Chavo beat Christian and that Eddie can't beat him. Eddie looks furious and raises his voice. He asks Chavo "what the hell did you just say?" and ranted on about how he's 10 times the wrestler that Christian is. Chavo tells him to calm down and that he knows how great his uncle Eddie is. Chavo tells Eddie that tonight he can prove what he just said, because Christian will be standing on the opposite side of the ring as them. Chavo says he's to try to find Whiskey Marc and talk things over with him. He pats Eddie on the back and walks away, leaving Eddie, who still has his signature angry scowl on his face. Eddie mumbles "good luck with that", but Chavo obviously couldn't hear it, as he's already left the room.

Shane Helms vs The Amazing Red©, Cruiserweight title match

Helms gets a great reaction from the crowd, and Red gets a mixed reaction as we set for our first title match of the night. An amazing back and fourth extremely fast paced match here. Red connects on a dragon suplex early in the match, but only gets a two count. Red goes for a bulldog, but Helms throws him right though the middle and top rope! Helms connects on a huge no hands plancha onto Red on the outside and rolls him back in the ring, but only gets a two. Helms tries for a clothesline, but Red ducks and applies a reverse waistlock on Helms, and jumps up onto his shoulders, but Helms connects on a huge sitout electric chair drop. Helms connects on the flying sommersault neckbreaker, but only gets a 2 count surprisingly. Helms goes for the "Nightmare on Helms Street", but Red connects on two uppercuts and manages to go up and over somehow and catch Helms with an inverted DDT. Red goes to the top, but Helms is right back up and goes up top also. Red connects on shots to Helms. Red connects on a huge sunset flip powerbomb onto Helms off the top rope and the crowd goes nuts. Red connects on the Red Star Press and gets the 1-2-3 pinfall victory. Red celebrates with the belt as Helms sells the finish and grabs his head, as it hit pretty hard on that powerbomb. After the match and after Red left the ring, Helms started to get to his feet, using the ropes to help him. Spanky comes running down the ramp and hits the ring, but Helms isn't aware! Helms turns around, only to receive a kick to the stomach. Spanky grabs his head, SLICED BREAD #2!!!!! Spanky stands above a fallen Helms and laughs evilly as he's gotten the better of Helms tonight!

We come back and William Regal makes his way to the ring. Regal looks to be all business tonight as he grabs a microphone. William Regal says that last week on Thunder, Sean O'Haire claimed he has no involvement in the kidnapping of Eugene. Regal says that O'Haire may be able to fool the rest of the world, and does a bloody good job of it, but Regal isn't buying what O'Haire is trying to sell. Regal asks O'Haire if he doesn't have involvement, then who did it? Eugene has no enemies and everyone loves the adoreable young chap. But for some sick, peverted reason unknown to Regal, someone wants to see Eugene suffer. Someone wants to see Eugene in pain he's never felt before. Someone, wants Eugene to be more confused then he's ever been in his entire life, and that someone is Sean O'Haire. Why? Because that's the kind of the Person O'Haire is, a scoundral, a manipulator, someone who thrives off of other's misery. Right as Regal was about to keep talking, a note appeared on the tron. Regal stopped talking and read it, the note said: "I Do Not Want Your Money. I Do Not want Anything. I am NOT who you think I am. You will hear from me next week for more information on the whereabouts of your friend." The note fades off the tron. Regal sets the mic down and has a confused look on his face, as this situation has just took a completely different turn.

Eric Bischoff walks by, cup of coffee in hand, but stops, and notices Sonny Siaki, who hasn't noticed Eric Bischoff yet. Siaki turns around, and is surprised by Bischoff. Siaki greets Bischoff, who greets him back, but can't recall his name. Siaki tells him his name is "The Siak," and that he's the fastest rising star in the world today. Bischoff asks him, "is that so?" and tells Siaki that he reminds him of someone. Someone who's a true superstar of the business, a hollywood movie star, a pop icon. Siaki said he isn't sure who Bischoff is talking about, but says that in a few years, he'll be the person he reminds Bischoff of. Bischoff says that he likes Siaki, and thinks he's a good kid. Bischoff walks off, leaving Siaki to go back to doing his poses in front of the mirror.

Austin Aries vs Steven Richards©, TV Title Match

One would wonder what Austin Aries did to deserve yet another title match, his third in exactly a week. Aries comes out with Stacy, who appears somewhat bored. Richards comes out next, and is alone, much to the suprise of everyone in attendence. Aries takes early control of the matchup and looks good as he dominates Richards in the early going. Aries connects on a pinning German suplex early in the match, but only gets a two. Aries connects on a springboard dropkick and goes for another cover, but only gets a two as Stacy looks frustrated everytime Richards kicks out. Aries goes for a Powerbomb, but he can't lift Richards, and Richards reverses by catapulting Aries into the top turnbuckle and rolling him up with a schoolboy that only gets a two. Aries fights back with a stomp to Richards back, regaining control. Aries connects on a russian leg sweep and goes to the top rope, calling for the 450. Aries misses the 450 and goes crashing into the mat. Both men get back to their feet and deliver punches to one another. Richards goes for an irish whip, but Aries reverses it the other way, right into the ref, who stumbles back and right through the ropes to the outside. With the ref out, Aries connects on a low blow kick to Richards and a huge DDT. Aries gets up, and smiles at Stacy, thinking he has the match in control, but out of nowhere, Alex Shelley hits the ring. Aries goes for a clothesline, but Shelley ducks. Shelly kicks him in the stomach, SHELLSHOCK!!! Shelley leaves the ring and jumps the barrier and leaves through the crowd as the crowd cheers Aries being put down. Stacy is screaming on the outside as the ref slides back in the ring right as Richards drapes a hand across the chest of Aries. 1...2...3 and the ref slowcounts the victory and Arie's is now 0 wins and 3 losses over the course of the last week. All Stacy can do is look disgusted in the ring at Aries as he slowly gets back to his feet.

We come back and see Austin Aries almost dragging Stacy along by her hand as he marches right into Eric Bischoff's office. He doesn't even bother knocking, and barges in to see Bischoff talking with Chris Jericho. Jericho and Aries staredown one another before Aries looks at Bischoff. Aries tells Bischoff he's sick and tired of Alex Shelley interfering in his matches and he wants, no he demands that Bischoff does something about it. Bischoff gets a sour look on his face at Aries and tells him that no one demands that Eric Bischoff does anything. He then looks at Chris Jericho, he asks Jericho what he thinks Bischoff should do about Aries. Jericho says that for all he cares Bischoff could book them both in a cage for the rest of their careers, as they're nothing more then nuisences. Bischoff says that's a great idea and tells Aries that this Thursday on Thunder, Aries is going to face Alex Shelley, inside of a steel cage! Stacy asks Aries if he's happy now, and Aries sadistically says he's very happy. Stacy says she's glad and tells him to let go of her arm, she doesn't even want to be seen with him until he gets his act together. Aries and Stacy start arguing right in front of Bischoff and Jericho. Jericho stands up and tells Aries to let go of her hand. Aries finally lets go, and Jericho pushes him through the door and out of the office. Stacy starts to walk out, but Jericho tells her to wait. He looks at her and gives her a kiss on the hand. He tells Stacy that as soon as she's ready to start hanging out with a winner, to give him a call. Stacy looks disgusted and walks out of the office. Jericho smiles as we fade out.

Whiskey Marc, Eddie and Chavo Guerrero vs Booker T, Colt Cabana and Christian

We get set for huge 6 man action here tonight. Eddie and Chavo come out to a chorus of boo's, as does Whiskey Marc. The crowd goes wild for Christian and Colt Cabana, who come out to a hybrid  mix of their theme music, signifying perhaps that they are truly a tag team here in WCW. Booker comes out to the same pop as always. The match starts out with Cabana and Chavo. Chavo gains the upperhand on Cabana after an eye rake and backs him into his teams corner and distracts the ref, which allows Eddie and Marc to go to work on Cabana. Tag made to Eddie, who comes in and delivers a series of suplexes to Cabana. Cabana fights back and eventually connects in a huge clothesline on Eddie before making the tag to Christian. Christian comes in and goes right after Eddie, but he wants none of Christian, as he quickly tags in Whiskey Marc and the crowd boo's. Book calls for the tag, and Christian obliges, and now we're going to see a preview of a spring stampede match. Marc goes for a right hand, Book ducks and hammers away on Marc before connecting on a huge back body drop. Book with a kick to the stomach and calls for the Scissors kick early, but Chavo kicks him in the back after he hit the ropes. Book is distracted and attacks Chavo, which allows Marc to attack him from behind. Marc connects on a back suplex and makes the tag to Chavo Chavo comes in and connects on a tornado DDT and tags Eddie. Eddie misses the frogsplash and Booker makes the tag to Christian.

Christian comes in and goes right to work on Eddie and connects on the inverted facelock backbreaker. Chavo comes in, but he gets back body dropped to the outside. Marc comes in, but Booker comes in too and spears him and the two go fighting to the outside with Chavo. In the ring, Christian goes for the Unprettier on Eddie, but Eddie pushes him into the corner. Cabana tags himself in and goes to work on Eddie with chops to the chest. Meanwhile, Christian has climbed to the top rope and dives onto Chavo, Booker and Marc on the outside. The ref goes to the outside to break it up as Cabana has control in the ring. Cabana connects on a kick to the stomach and a Colt 45 on Eddie. CM Punk comes running down the ramp and gets in the ring. He kicks Cabana in the gut, PEDIGREE!!!! CM grabs a fallen Eddie Guerrero and puts him on top of Cabana and leave the ring and hides from the ref on the outside. The ref hops in the ring after giving up on breaking up the mess on the outside and he makes the count, 1..2..3 and Christian couldn't break it up in time. After the match, Christian and Booker clean house on Eddie, Chavo and Marc and check up on Cabana, who's still a bit fuzzy as he makes his way to his feet. Punk has already left the ringside area.

WINNERS: Whiskey Marc, Eddie and Chavo Guerrero

We come back and see Mean Gene running with microphone in hand in the back. He yells out for CM Punk, the camera pans out, CM Punk has his bag across his shoulder and is heading out of a door to leave the arena. Mean Gene catches his breath and asks him why he did what he just said. CM Punk says that he's fed with this perception within wrestling that you have to have a golden hunk of leather to be considered a "someone" in wrestling, just like you have to smoke pot and drink and party with your buddies to be perceived as cool. CM Punk says that he's always been cool, cooler then Colt Cabana and cooler then all the slack ass pot smoking retardos in the audience. Punk says that if he needs to have a title around his waist to be considered a someone to all these drugged out losers that can't see the real talent he posesses, then so be it, and he gladly accepts the match against Colt Cabana at spring stampede. CM tells Mean Gene that all his life, he's never followed trends in his life, but if all wrestling is is about title belts, then he'll gladly prove why he's better then everyone else. After all, CM Punk is straight edge, which means he's better then Colt Cabana and YOU!"

Psychosis and Juventud Guerrera vs Chris Jericho and Steve Austin©, tag team title match

Psychosis and Juvi come out together to a chorus of boo's, as they've earned this title match by defeating Ruckus and Homicide last week. Steve Austin's music hits next and the crowd goes simply nuts. Austin poses on the turnbuckles with the tag team titles. The lights go out, Jericho's pyro goes off, and out comes the world champion to a thunderous response of boo's. Jericho holds both titles in his hands as he spins around on top of the ramp before making his way into the ring. Jericho decides to let Austin start this one out against Psychosis. Austin automatically gains the upperhand without question, connecting on a hiptoss, a bodyslam and a clothesline that sent Psychosis reeling to make the tag to Juvi. Juvi comes in charging towards Austin, but gets a spinebuster for his efforts. Austin tags Jericho, and Jericho comes in and delivers sickening chops to Juvi before connecting on a back body drop and a DDT. Jericho goes to the top rope and connects on a Missle dropkick and Juvi goes to the outside. Jericho slingshots over the top rope onto him. Austin hits the ring and pulls Psychosis into the ring and Whips him into the ropes, but Psychosis reverses, Austin connects on the Lou Thesz press and hammers away on Psychosis. Psychosis goes retreating into the corner, but Austin proceeds to stomp a mudhole into him.

On the outside. Jericho whips Juvi right into the steps. This match has been a complete annihilation and domination by the tag champs, who have found a way to coexist. Jericho throws Juvi into the ring. Juvi gets up and starts walking backwards, keeping his eye on Chris Jericho, but he bumps right into Austin. Austin flips him around, STUNNER!!! Juvi gets to his feet and stumbles backwards, right into Chris Jericho, who connects on a double legged takedown and turns him over for the liontamer. Juvi instantly submits. The ref raises Jericho and Austin's hands as the tag team champions, and they embrace in a long staredown with one another. The ref goes to hand them their titles. Jericho grabs both titles, in addition to his world title. Jericho looks at the belts, and hands one to Austin, who reluctantly grabs it. Jericho turns away and walks out of the ring. Austin's music goes off, and Austin celebrates in the ring while drinking beer.

Primetime:

WWE - 6.08

WCW - 5.65

ECW - 5.41

Same Old thang. Thunder did an awesome 2.84 rating last week by the way.

Alex Shelley -- Now a lower-midcarder

Alex Shelley has been elevated from opener to lower midcarder following his work in recent weeks with Austin Aries. With an upcoming cage match against Aries this thursday, things are looking good for the young up and comer.

Big plans for May?

Rumors are running rampant that WCW may be running some sort of tournament next month similiar to WWE's old King of the Ring. If so, look for it to come to a head at next month's WCW pay per view. Take this as what it is, simply a rumor.

WCW THUNDER

Wednesday , April 19th, 2005

<=:=><=:=>Intro and Pyro<=:=><=:=>

Meltzer: "Hello folks and what a show we have for you tonight on Thunder! Our main event will be a steel cage match between Alex Shelley...and Austin Aries!

Heenan: "How can you not like this one? Finally Austin Aries gets some much needed revenge on that pibsqueek alex Shelley!"

1. SEAN O'HAIRE VS JIMMY JACOBS

Jacobs comes out first, the residential curtain jerker of Thunder for the time being. O'haire comes out next and the crowd is all over him. Jacobs mounted a little offense to start the match, but tried for a crossbody, and that's when it all went downhill. O'Haire connected on a huge fallaway slam followed by a press slam to take control of the match. O'Haire threw jacobs around like a ragdoll, tossing him almost all the way across the ring on a hiptoss! Jacobs had a hope spot near the end of the match, connecting on a Hurricanrana after O'Haire took his time on a powerbomb. Jacobs connected on a pair of armdrags, and went from the contra code, but O'Haire literally threw him across the ring. O'Haire connects on a vicious snap spinebuster for the easy 1-2-3 and Jacobs holds his head in pain as the ref helps him out of the ring. O'Haire taunts the crowd alittle bit before leaving the ring.

WINNER: SEAN O'HAIRE

2. Running Scared?

Backstage, we see Eddie Guerrero standing by with Mean Gene. Mean Gene asked him why he wanted no part of Christian this monday in the 6 man tag. Eddie tells Mean Gene that he was wrong, and he's making things up. Eddie said that he wants a piece of Christian, but not in a 6 man match or a tag team match. He wants Christian in a one on one match. You see Mean Gene, there's a lot of people who think that Eddie Guerrero cannot beat Christian, even his own nephew Chavito thinks that. But they're all wrong. Christian is a nobody, a nothing, a worthless Canadian. Christian has made a name for himself on backstage antics and shenanigans. But Eddie Guerrero, the Guerrero family has made a name for themselves as the greatest wrestling family in the world, and Eddie Guerrero has lived up to his name. At least Eddie has a last name he can live up to. What the hell kind of a name is Christian anyways? He says Christian is still trying to find a niche' for himself in the wrestling world, but Eddie Guerrero, he already has one. He's known for being the best wrestler from Mexico IN THE WORLD. At the next Nitro, Eddie's going to call Christian out, and it's not going to be pretty when he's finished, and Christian is lying in a pool of a blood!

3. PETEY WILLIAMS VS LOW-KI©, Pure title match

Williams comes out first and gets almost no response. Low-Ki's music hits and the crowd goes nuts for the pure champ. Williams gets back in and uses an eyepoke to get the upperhand. Williams connects on a clothesline and a hiptoss. Low-Ki recovers and reverses an irish whip into the corner, but misses a clothesline. Williams with an open handed fist and the ref warns him. Reverse chinlock by Petey, but Low-Ki gets to his feet and snapmares him over and delivrs a spine kick to the back. Low-ki goes off with huge kicks to the chest, arm, legs and side of Williams as Williams tries to get to his feet. Back heel trip by Low-Ki and he connects on a backflip press and Williams has to use the ropes, which puts him at 2 ropebreaks left. Low Ki with an irish whip, Williams ducks a spinning heel kick and delivers a closed fist to Ki, that will cost him a ropebreak, and now he's down to 1. Williams irish whips Ki into the corner and connects on a huge hurricanrana. Petey calls for the Canadian Destroyer, but Low-Ki connects on a back body drop, then a dropsault to put Williams down. Ki goes up top, looking for the double stomp, Petey moves out of the way, but Ki lands on his feet. Petey comes charging, but Ki ducks the clothesline and delivers a huge thrust kick right to the chin. Ki-krusher and this one is over as Low-Ki retains the pure title via pinfall in this one. Low-Ki poses with the belt as Ruckus and Homicide come from the back to congratulate him on his victory.

Vito says that they should challenge AMW to a match tonight. Snow asks Vito if he thinks he could hangle taking on the former tag team champions, and Vito says he can handle anything. The two walk up to AMW, who are pretty much ignoring them. Snow asks if the two have a match tonight, and the two kind of shrug as if they weren't sure. Vito asks them if they're finished crying about losing the tag team titles and want a match tonight. That struck a nerve in Chris Harris, who gets into the face of Vito. Harris says that they'lle see them in the ring tonight. The two look like they're about to go at it right now, but Vito and Snow back off, satisfied with the results of the encounter.

This Monday, Raven and Chris Jericho will meet in the center of the ring and both will sign the contract to make the match official.

7. SHANE HELMS/ULTIMO DRAGON VS SPANKY/JODY FLEISCH

This should be an interesting one, as it's mainly Helms vs Spanky on display here. Helms and Fleisch are going to start this one out. Helms gets the upperhand on Fleisch with an armdrag and an armbar. Fleisch recovers and connects on a couple chops and a leg lariat on Helms. Fleisch misses on a springboard legdrop and Helms makes the tag to Dragon, who connects on a series of clotheslines, a hurricanrana and an inside cradle that nearly got a 3. 8. OOH, She's a fiesty one.

Backstage, we see Stacy Keibler with Mean Gene. Mean Gene asks Stacy what's going on with her client, Austin Aries, who's currently on a losing streak. Stacy says she has no clue why Aries has been such a loser lately, but she's getting a little fed up wit him. Stacy Keibler does not manage, let alone go out with losers. Stacy could have any man she wants in WCW, even the heavyweight champion Chris Jericho, but she thinks that they're all slobs who only care about their needs, rather then hers. Stacy says that Austin cares about her needs, but right now she needs him to stop making her look bad and start winning. If Austin doesn't win the cage match tonight against Alex Shelley, he's going to have more then just a losing problem, he's going to have a girlfriend problem too!

<0:89%>

9. BIG VITO AND AL SNOW VS AMERICA'S MOST WANTED (Chris Harris and James Storm)

AMW get a decent response, as Miss Stacy however isn't by their side. Snow and Vito get a mixed crowd, as anytime Al Snow comes out there's some diehards who have to start up a small "Head" Chant. Snow and Storm start this one out, with the crafty veteran gaining the upperhand on Storm and backing him into the corner. Snow doesn't do a clean break and kicks storm in the gut before driving his head into the turnbuckle. Tag made to Vito, who shows great stregnth with a bodyslam and great agility with a legdrop. Vito attacks Harris, who's standing on the outside, and the ref gets distracted keeping Harris out of the ring, which allows for Snow to hold Storm's arms while Vito takes some shots on Storm. Storm fights back a little later on and connects on a huge samoan drop on Snow before making the tag to Harris. Harris comes in connects on a bulldog on Snow that gets a two count. Harris goes to the top rope and connects on a huge missle dropkick, Vito comes in to help his partner, as does Storm, and all hell breaks loose. Harris and Storm connect on the Death Sentance to Al Snow and Harris makes the cover for the 1-2-3, an impressive showing by the former tag team champs. After the match, Vito went to check on Snow, but Snow shoved him, angered by the loss and Vito's carelessness.

<0:96%>

11. Austin Aries vs Alex Shelley, cage match

The cage has been set up and we're ready to go. Shelley comes out first to a decent response, and Austin gets all boo's as he's without Stacy at his side. Aries looks a bit angry and serious given his recent losing streak. The two tieup, but it doesn't stay very technical for long as Aries rubs Shelley's forehead right into the cage in the opening minutes and Shelley's already dawning the crimson mask. Aries connects on a german suplex and attempts to leave the cage, but Shelley pulls his leg and pulls him down and he crotches himself on the tope rope. Shelley hits the ropes and connects on a huge splash onto Austin as he stradles the top rope and Aries gets squished between shelley and the cage. Now it's Shelleys turn and he throws Aries face first into the steel cage, and now Aries is busted open as Shelley repeats the process a couple times. Aries connects on a lowblow uppercut and sends Shelley into the corner. Aries puts Shelley in the tree of woe and connects on a huge dropkick to the face. Pendulum elbow by Aries and Aries begans climbing the cage, but stands on the top rope and delivers an elbow drop onto Shelley instead, choosing to punish him more. Shelley fights back, connecting on a back body drop and a huge tornado DDT. Shelley goes for Shellshock, but Aries counters and delivers a double underhook suplex. Aries irish whips Shelley into the corner, but Shelley reverses and sets Aries on the top turnbuckle. Shelley looks for a super Hurricanrana, but Aries reverses into a super sitout powerbomb and the crowd immediately starts a holy shit chant.

Aries begans climbing the cage after the huge impact. Aries is standing on the top of the cage and Shelley is laying on the ground still out of it. Aries thinks about climbing down and begans to, and he could easily win, but instead, he wants to impress Stacy. Aries stands on the very top of the cage and ATTEMPTS A 450!!!!! SHELLEY MOVES AND ARIES HITS FRONT FIRST ON THE CANVAS. Aries rolls around the ring in obvious pain after the one as the crowd starts yet another Holy shit chant. Shelley gets back to his feet, SHELLSHOCK to an already out of it Aries!! Shelley slowly starts climbing the cage, reaches the top and starts to work his way down, but loses his footing and falls to the ground. The ref raises Shelley's hand the victor as agents and refs go to check on Aries. Aries is completely out of it. Shelley celebrates on the top of the ramp as the crowd cheers him, he just impressed everyone in the audience tonight.

WCW Monday Night Nitro

Monday, April 24th, 2006

<=:=><=:=>Intro and Pyro<=:=><=:=>

Meltzer: "Good evening ladies and gentleman and what a Nitro we have in store for you tonight. We just found out that earlier tonight, Eric Bischoff has booked a tag team tables main event that will pit CM Punk and Whiskey Marc against Colt Cabana, and Booker T!"

Coach: "What a matchup that should be. The only way to beat your opponent is to drive them both through tables? With the hatred that those guys have, someone could be leaving here on a stretcher Meltzer!"

Eric Bischoff's music hits and the boss comes out to a decent response as he's holding a clipboard in hand, obviously the contract for the match between Raven and Chris Jericho. Bischoff gets on the mic and tells everyone that he's holding the documents necessary to make the world title match between Raven and Chris Jericho at Spring Stampede official. Bischoff introduces the challenger, Raven. The Flock's theme hits and out comes Raven, with Stevie Richards, Lodi and Billy Kidman following behind him. They all get in the ring and Raven sits in the corner while the flock stare at Bischoff. Bischoff introduces the champion, and Chris Jericho's pyro and theme hit. The crowd boo's the hell out of Jericho as he makes his way to the ring with the world title and tag title on both of his shoulders, talking trash to the fans. Jericho gets in the ring and Raven stands up, and the two stand about 3 feet apart with Bischoff at the side of them. Bischoff reads some of the contract and then asks Raven to sign the contract. Raven grabs the microphone and tells Jericho that he can no longer ignore his fate. He can no longer ignore the man who is going to defeat him this sunday, he can no longer ignore..Jericho snatches the microphone from Raven's hand and tells him to Just sign the contract and calls him a assclown.

Raven rips the microphone back from Jericho's hand and tells Jericho that he's not going to sign anything until they agree to some stipulations. Raven asks Jericho if he's familiar with Raven's Rules. Jericho now has a second microphone and says that he doesn't give a damn if Raven signs the contract or not, because either way, he'll still be champ after Sunday. Bischoff interjects and says that he likes where Raven's going with this. Bischoff suggests that they make this a no disqualification match. Jericho says he see's where this is going, and that if Raven wants a No DQ match, then so be it. That being said, Raven laughs as he signs the contract and hands it to Jericho. Jericho looks over it and signs it himself and hands it to Eric Bischoff. Bischoff says that it's settled and that at Spring Stampede, we will see Raven and Chris Jericho in a no disqualification match for the WCW Heavyweight title. Bischoff then leaves the ring, noticing that Raven and Jericho have had their eyes locked on one another for the last 30 seconds. The flock all slide back into the ring behind Raven, and the three began circling Jericho. Jericho notices that he's trapped now and delivers a right hand to Kidman, but Richards, Raven and Lodi swarm him and take him to the ground and we have a 4 on 1 situation in the ring. The flock hammer away on Jericho.

Richards and Lodi hold Jericho's arms and Raven goes to deliver a shot to Jericho, but Jericho kicks him in the gut, Jericho punches Lodi and kicks Richards. He throws Lodi through the ropes, but turns around only to meet a kick in the stomach and an evenflow DDT by Raven. Raven rolls outside and grabs a steel chair, he's not finished yet. Raven waits for Jericho to slowly get to his feet and then delivers a sickening chairshot to Jericho. Jericho is busted wide open and laid out in the center of the ring. Raven grabs the heavyweight title and looks at it before shoving it in Jericho's face, getting the gold covered in Jericho's blood. Raven lays the belt next to Jericho before rolling out of the ring along with the flock, taking a good look at the damage he's done.

Meltzer: "My god, Raven's laid out the world champ!!"

The Briscoes (Mark and Jay Briscoe) Sinister Creation (Tajiri and Whipwreck)

We come back from break and The Briscoes are already in the ring waiting for the match. Sinister Creation's music hits and here come the flock members with Sinister Minister at their side. This was a very short match, lasting on 5 minutes or so. Whipwreck took early control of the matchup on Mark, working him over with hiptosses, armdrags and a couple clotheslines before making the tag to Tajiri, who came in and delivered some trademark stiff kicks. Mark made the tag to Jay after he dropkicked Tajiri in the back after Tajiri tried for the springboard back elbow. Jay came in with a little momentum, but it was quickly killed when Sinister Minister hit him with his cane after he bounced off the ropes and the ref didn't see it. Tajiri made the tag to Whipwreck and the two connected on a double team vertical suplex. Mark came in to save his brother, but he was met by a Tajiri dropkick. Whipwreck connects on the Whippersnapper and this one is over as Whipwreck gets the 1-2-3 pinfall victory on Jay Briscoe. After the match, Sinister Minister came in the ring to raise the hands of his team. Here's some classic WCW Booking for you, a team that perhaps is in line for a push gets a squash victory over a couple residential jobbers.

Winners: Sinister Creation (Tajiri and Whipwreck)

We see Spanky backstage, he has something in his hand. Spanky tells the camera that he's been hanging out in the parking garage all day with his friends, drinking beer and awaiting the arrival of Shane Helms. Well Shane Helms just got here, but they're not going to attack him, instead, he has a better idea. Spanky creeps around, going through rows of cars. He arrives at a really nice Black Ford Explorer. He explains that this is Shane Helms new SUV. Spanky takes the cap off of a can in his hand..it's spraypaint!! Spanky sprays a little dot on the door and says "oop's, aint that a shame." and says he better finish the job. Spanky takes about a minute to sloppily write "SPANKY WUZ HERE" on the entire drivers side of the SUV. All of a sudden we hear someone yell "HEY!!", It's Shane Helms!! Helms comes racing towards Spanky at lightning speed, but Spanky takes off running too, Spanky jumps right into the back of a waiting pickup truck that has 2 or 3 of his friends sitting in the back also. The truck speeds off with Spanky and his friends laughing as they hold on. Helms walks back to his SUV and looks at the side of his SUV. He looks dissapointed and frustrated at the same time as we fade out.

Backstage, we see Steve Austin walk through a door with a bag on his shoulder, it looks like he's just arrived. The crowd goes wild for him as Mean Gene meets him in the hallway. Mean Gene asks Austin what he thinks of Raven and the Flock leaving Jericho a bloody mess. Austin tells Mean Gene that he has no clue what the hell he's talking about and that he just arrived. Mean Gene explains to Austin that the Flock attacked Jericho after the contract signing and Jericho has been taken to a local hospital for evaluation. Austin asks him why the hell he should care what happens to Jericho. Mean Gene reminds Austin that he is his tag team partner after all. Austin says that he's not Jericho's friend, he's his partner. He isn't fighting Jericho's battles for him. Austin starts to leave, but Mean Gene says, "Speaking of battles, you don't have a match for Spring Stampede." Austin stops and turns around. He calls Mean Gene a clever little bastard and tells him that just because Steve Austin won't be whoopin' ass at Spring Stampede, that doesn't mean he won't be there. In fact, Steve Austin will be there, and he'll be raising twice as much hell, and that's the bottom line, because Stone Cold said so! Austin walks off, leaving Mean Gene standing there.

Backstage, we see Austin Aries, and he's completely lost it. He's tearing up a backstage area, throwing chairs, knocking things over, kicking walls and throwing pretty much everything that isn't bolted down. He's making quite a scene, as wrestlers, referees and stagehands are all watching him throw a temper tantrum. Low-Ki walks up and starts yelling "HEY" at him. Finally after about 4 Hey's, Aries stops. Low-Ki asks him what the hell is his problem. Aries said he's lost everything, he's lost his matches, he's lost his feud against alex shelley, he even lost his girlfriend. Everyone's doubting him, even his friends. Low-Ki tells him he's just going through a slump and it happens to the best of them, he'll get his life back in order. Aries gets right into Low-Ki's face and tells him to stop talking down to him like he's nothing. Austin Aries doesn't go through slumps, he's the best thing that's happened to professional wrestling. Low-Ki tells him that he's preaching to the wrong champion. Aries may have talent, but Low-Ki is pure. He's a reigning champion, Aries is just some loser with anger problems. Aries tells him that Low-Ki isn't better then him, and he'll prove it to him. This Sunday, he challenges Ki to a Pure title match. Ki says he never backs down from a challenge and that he's on. Aries calms down a little and calmy tells Ki after he beats him, all his problems will disapear. Aries simply walks off, leaving Low-Ki standing there.

Eddie Guerrero's music hits and he comes out to a chorus of boo's. Eddie slowly makes his way into the ring and grabs a microphone. Eddie says that he may lie, cheat and steal, but when he makes a promise, his family's name is at stake. Eddie says that last Thursday, he said he was going to call Christian out, and that's exactly why he's out here. Christian's music hits and Christian comes out to an excellent response from the crowd. Christian gets in the ring and tells Eddie Guerrero that he's nothing more then a thorn in his side. He said all he wants is to be done with Eddie Guerrero. He's sick and tired of being used as a benchmark between Eddie and Chavo. Christian said that the only benchmark Eddie should be looking at is pictures of his old self..after all, his mullet seems to be reaching record legnths. Eddie freaks out and says that it's not a mullet. Eddie says that it's time to stop talking, and start fighting!

All of a sudden, Mick Foley's music hits and the commissioner comes out to a fantastic response. Foley tells them to hold it right there as he makes his way into the ring. Foley says that he has a couple of announcements to make. Foley says that if the two want to duke it out, they're going to have to wait until this sunday because he's just signed a match for Spring Stampede, and it will be Christian against Eddie Guerrero! Eddie looks happy and Christian looks kind of disappointed. Christian tells Mick that he'll do the match, but he's very disappointed in the way he's been ignored lately. He tells Mick that after he beats this chumpstain, he wants to get back on track towards being a champion again. Foley ignores his comments pretty much, and says that speaking of champions, he's gone ahead and booked another match for Spring Stampede, Stevie Richards is going to defend the TV title against none other then Sonny Siaki. He then goes on to say that Siaki reminds him of someone, like an old partner of his, but can't remember who. Foley then remembers, and says Siaki reminds him of Terry Funk? Wait a sec, no that's not right. Foley shrugs it off and  tells them both to have a nice day, leaving Christian and Eddie in the ring staring a hole in one another.

We see Amazing Red walking around backstage with the cruiserweight title on hsi shoulder, opening doors and looking in rooms, calling out for Juvi and Psychosis. He asks someone backstage where their locker room was and the guy gives him directions. He walks to the locker room and opens the door, but the locker room is bare, there aren't even bags in it. Red leaves and walks up to Arn Anderson. He asks Arn if he's seen Juvi or Psychosis. Arn tells him that he saw both of them leaving immediately after Juvi's match. Red looks ticked off, and gets on his cell phone and calls someone. He tells the person on the other end that he needs a ride, he got left at the arena. Red hangs up the phone and walks off screen, ticked off.

Snow fought back and took control with a snapmare and a kick to the back. Snow connected on a series of elbow drops but only got a two count. Regal fought back and connected on a double underhook suplex and a running knee drop to Snow. Snow then connected on a couple uppercuts and a russian legsweep, but again only gets a two count. Snow connects on a tiger suplex, but once again, Regal kicks out. Regal starts to mount a comeback as the fans get behind him, but Snow ends it by applying a sleeper after an irish whip. Regal's hand goes down twice before Regal makes a comeback and slams Snow into the corner back first. Regal sends him into the other corner, but snow slides on the mat and delivers a huge clothesline to Regal. Snow says it's over and goes to the top rope, but MISSES THE MOONSAULT!! Regal gets back to his feet and delivers a series of chops to Snow, before connecting on a running knee lift. Regal applies the Regal Stretch, and Snow has no choice but to tap out.

Regal's celebration is short lived as a note appears on the screen almost immediately after Snow tapped out. The note read: "The games are over and it's time for the mystery to end. At Spring Stampede Eugene will be delivered and all will be well again." Regal looks at the screen kind of confused. All of a sudden, Al Snow gets up and turns Regal around, SNOW PLOW!!!! Al Snow has laid out Regal tonight as the crowd boo's. It looks like we'll have to wait unti lthe pay per view to get our answers!

- RATINGS -

Primetime:

WCW - 6.27

WWE - 6.07

ECW - 6.03

WOW! For the first time in nearly a decade, WCW Finally did it. Eric Bischoff has to be ecstatic this week, he finally surpassed Vince Mcmahon in the ratings. Morale in WCW has never been higher and going into a major PPV, this is absolutely huge for WCW. Meanwhile, ECW got a boost too, as they lost to WWE by a mere .04 in the ratings. On an interesting sidenote, Vince Mcmahon went to the hospital tuesday morning with a sprained ankle, and at the same time, a contracting company came to repair a huge hole in his wall..we're not too sure how these two go together, we'll let you make the call. On a sidenote, Thunder did a 2.75 rating

INJURY REPORT

We're just a few days away from the expected return of both Edge and RVD. RVD has been out with an arm injury he suffered at the hands of stonecold, while Edge is still recovering from his match with Matt Hardy at Clash of the champions. We're expecting both to return right away to the main event scene.

JERICHO TO TAKE TIME OFF?

Take this as a mere rumor, but with his hectic WCW Schedule, Chris Jericho has had little time for concert's with his band, Fozzy. Jericho may be interested in taking some time off this winter to promote his band's upcoming album. None of this is confirmed however.

PAUL BIRCHALL -- MIDCARD WORTHY

Paul Birchall has been bumped from lower mid-carder to midcarder. WCW Officials have been trying to get Birchall over as a mmonster, so this is definitely a step in the right direction.
