How many lives did Martha Stewart ruin when she helped bankrupt a biotechnology company selling off all of her shares and sending the stock into a tailspin? Five months. Lil' Kim tells a fib to the police? A year and a day. Not exactly a "Where's Waldo" of veiled hypocrisy, is it?

Good, its about time that celebrities get treated like the rest of the population. It pisses me off every time that they do something fucked up and only get a slap on the wrist, while a normal, everyday person would get locked up for a long ass time.

I do hope that she gets punched at least once though, which isn't so much to ask, as she does seem like someone that has the Diva attitude and maybe that would change it. Not going to ask for rape though, as thats just fucked up.

For the year and a day thing, this could be compared to John Rowland - the former governor of Connecticut. He got the same sentence in a corruption scandal, not sure exactly the charges he was convicted for.

However, the extra day on the sentence means he is eligible to get released a couple months earlier with good behavior or something like that. Something similar must be in place for Lil Kim.

That's my theory.
