Paul London def. Spike Dudley via pinfall. An okay opening cruiser-bout, but not too great. London countered the Dudley Dogg by tossing Spike to the mat and going to the top rope to nail the 450 Splash. After the match Chavo came out and tried stealing the Cruiserweight title, but London foiled his plans.-70%

Justice League def. Tyson Tomko & Viscera via pinfall. Not too good of a match, but at least Tomko has improved since last year. Rosey picked up the pin with a splash (off the middle rope) onto Tomko. (68)

A video was played, showcasing Rhyno. It showed him in ECW, and it showed him on RAW, announcing that the "Man Beast" had officially returned to WWE. (76)

Maven def. Sylvain Grenier via pinfall. Average match, nothing terrible, but nothing good. Grenier isn't worth much on his own. Maven picked up the pin after a Missile Dropkick. (70)

Chris Masters def. the Hearthrobs via pinfall. Your run-of-the-mill handicap match, with Masters dominating. It was funny when they came out and danced around Masters, however. He made Romeo tap to the Masterlock. (50)

Another video was shown, this time showing Charlie Haas and Ric Flair's match, and Triple H's return afterwards. (88)

Kenzo Suzuki came out, and cut an interview, saying he was the "greatest American wrestla'." Shelton Benjamin then came out, and challenged him to a match. (54)

Shelton Benjamin def. Kenzo Suzuki via pinfall. Very good match, Kenzo has been quite impressive since his RAW debut. Sadly, his record isn't exactly the best. Benjamin won after hitting Suzuki with his T-Bone Suplex. (76)

WWE RAW Results

07.25.05

[After an amazing pyro display, the camera went around the arena, and finally rested upon the announce-booth.]

JR: "Welcome to RAW, ladies and gentlemen! I'm Jim Ross, and the man sitting next to me is Jerry "the King" Lawler."

King: "Hey, everybody. I know I say this every week but...we've got a great show tonight!"

JR: "Indeed we do King, we've got a battle royal, with ten men fighting for a chance at the Intercontinental Championship!"

King: "And then we've got Batista and Rhyno teaming up to take on Randy Orton...and a mystery partner. Who could that be, JR?"

JR: "I don't know, King, but it'd better be somebody who can take a lot of punishment."

It's All About the Game

[Triple H's music hits, and he (and Ric Flair) makes his way out to the ring to boos. He poses, then grabs a microphone. He smirks, and begins speaking, despite the crowd's jeers.]

Triple H: "Welcome back. [pause.] That's what I should be hearing. I should be hearing everybody in the back...I should be hearing you fans in the cheap seats...everybody should be chanting 'welcome back.' Because finally, after almost a month of absense, 'The Game' has returned to RAW...that's right...I have returned to MY show."

[The crowd boos, as Triple H grins, and laughs. The crowd then starts chanting "Batista!" and Triple H looks pissed.]

Triple H: "Listen....I'm done with that animal. [pop.] I mean, yeah, he beat me three times. I'll admit that, I'm man enough. But you know, it isn't that bad. Sure, he took my title, he broke my streak. But your win-loss record doesn't mean much around here, and you can be sure that I'll get my Title back eventually. [boos.] I mean, hell, Batista learned everything he knew from me. I created him. He and Randy Orton were the future of this business, and the future just crept up too soon. They came back to bite me in the ***. And look at them now...they're booked in a World Title match at SummerSlam. They have become the present. But you know who else is the present? Me! I am Evolution! I am the past, I am the present, and I will be the future!"

[Trips pauses again, as the crowd soaks this in.]

Triple H: "But what I came out here tonight....tonight with Ric...was to announce what I'm going to do with the future. You know, there are these two....punks out there. Yeah, you know 'em...Shelton Benjamin, and Charlie Haas. [pop.] Now Benjamin, I'll admit...he's rather good. He managed to scrape a win over me before, infact...he's got more than one. But Haas...he isn't much. Ric beat him what...three, four times? And Shelton's let himself go to waste. All of that potential....and what happened? He got beat by some whiny kid wearin' a towel around his head. You kids....you've got yourselves into something. Something that you don't want to get into. You know what you're messing with? You're messing with Triple H and Ric Flair! Two of the all-time greats! You better get yourself out'a this...I'll give ya a chance. Don't continue this Shelton....Charlie. You're only going to get hurt."

[Flair "woos" and Triple H sets down the microphone and walks out of the ring.]

10-Man Battle-Royal for an Intercontinental Championship Match at SummerSlam:

Conway vs Benjamin vs Haas vs Regal vs Edge vs Benoit vs Jericho vs Suzuki vs Maven vs Viscera

Very entertaining battle royal, lots of good talent in here. Maven was out first, eliminated by Viscera. Kenzo went next, after Regal sent him out. Everybody then teamed up on Viscera, and eliminated him. In a suprising moment, Edge was eliminated by Jericho. However, Edge then ran back in and Speared Jericho, allowing Benoit to send him out. Benjamin was next eliminated, as Conway snuck up from behind and dumped him over. Regal was next, leaving Benoit in the ring with Conway and Haas. Conway went after Haas, and Benoit went after him too, weakening an already tired Haas, and allowing Conway to dump him over. Benoit and Conway then wrestled for a couple minutes, until Benoit got out of a Perfectplex attempt and suplexed Conway over the top for the win, and the title shot.

-----

An Answer and a...Suprise?

[Kurt Angle's music hits, and he makes his way down to the ring slowly, to the chants of "You Suck!" He gets in the ring, and gets a microphone from Lilian.]

Angle: "Thank you, Lilian. You know...two weeks ago, Shawn Michaels ran down to this ring, and he cost me a shot at the World Heavyweight Title. [pop.] You think it's funny, do you? Well I don't. I'm sick of all this crap! I should be the number one contender, not Randy Orton! I don't know what the hell Michaels' problem is, I made him tap out at WrestleMania, and I did it cleanly. You lost, Shawn. [pause.] But if you want to step in the ring with me, one more time....I think I'm up to the challenge. [pop.] Oh yes, I'm accepting your challenge! It's going to be Kurt Angle versus Shawn Michaels...at SummerSlam! But you know what, Shawn? This time, when you tap out...I'm not going to let you. I'm going to put you back on the shelf...just like what I did to Booker T. Now-"

[Angle is cut off, as some generic theme music hits, and a mail-man comes out, driving a mailtruck, which he parks near the ring. He gets out, and enters the ring with a package.]

Angle: "What the....what the hell is this? Who are you?"

Mailman: "I've got a package for you, Mr. Angle. It's late...actually."

[The main thrusts the package at Angle, who takes it. He opens it slowly...and pulls out a sock. It's Mr. Kurto!]

Angle: "What in God's name is this supposed to be? Is this...is this some kind-of joke? This is from Foley, right? [man nods.] Well I've got news for you, Foley...I don't want this piece of crap!"

[Angle turns around, and throws the sock on the mat. He starts to leave, but the mailman taps him on the shoulder.]

Mailman: "I've got something else for you, Mr. Angle. I've gotta ask that you watch the screen, while a countdown plays. When it's over, turn around, and you'll get your gift."

[Angle looks oddly at the man, but turns around. A clock counts down from 10. When it reaches zero, Angle turns around....and gets kicked in the face! The man tugs at his face, and pulls off a mask....it's Shawn Michaels! He laughs, picks up Mr. Kurto, and drives the truck out of the arena.]

-----

The Question and the Answer

[Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin are walking backstage, with towels on their heads, drooping down onto their shoulders.]

Haas: "I dunno what the hell's up with that guy, man. I never attacked Hunter, and you know it."

Benjamin: "Yeah, but I guess he's still got a grudge against me. I beat him, remember?"

[Haas laughs, and nods, but is suddenly struck from behind. Triple H and Ric Flair appear, and they brawl with Haas and Benjamin. Benjamin and Haas eventually go down, and Triple H smirks. He kicks Benjamin for good measure, and then walks away with Flair.]

-----

Singles Match:

Lita vs Christy Hemme

This was a filler match...and a poor one at that. Hemme still can't work well in the ring, and Lita....well, Lita was never the best women's wrestler around. They brawled around for a bit, and the crowd was slightly into the two red-heads rolling on the ground....but after a couple minutes they died out. Hemme went for a DDT at one point, but Lita got out of it, and slammed her on the mat. She caught Hemme with a Twist of Fate at the end, but she didn't pin. Instead, Lita went to the top rope, and came off with a moonsault. She pinned Christy for the win.

-----

The Intercontinental Champion

[Muhammad Hassan's music plays, and he (as well as Daivari, who has wrestling gear on) make their way to the ring to boos. Hassan gets in the ring, looks at his Intercontinental Title, and smiles.]

Hassan: "I am the Intercontinental Champion. Do you know what that means? Intercontinental is just like a word for 'world.' I am the champion of Africa, the champion of Europe, of Asia....I am the champion of the Americas. [boos.] And with this title, comes a wide variety of challengers. I mean, look at the battle royal. I could've fought William Regal....he's from England. Or I could've fought Kenzo Suzuki...he's from Japan. But instead....instead I get to wrestle Chris Benoit, from Canada. And if there's one country that I hate more than this place [boos.] it's Canada. But I'm out here tonight to wrestle...no, I'm out here tonight to face another couple men, who think that they have what it takes to beat the Great Muhammad Hassan. So come out out, whoever the hell you are."

[Hurricane's music hits, and he makes his way out to the ring with Rosey and "Super" Stacy. They get in the ring, pose, and the match begins.]

-----

Tag Team Match:

Justice League vs Hassan & Daivari

Pretty good match here, it's still amazing how much Hassan has improved. He's really become quite a good brawler, but he can go technical if he needs to. He mainly beat up on Hurricane and Rosey, but they got in some offense on him...enough to make them look credible. Daivari eventually got in, and he and Hurricane put on a good high-flying contest. Daivari is actually pretty talented, it'd be nice to see some more of him down the line. Hurricane went for the Shining Wizard, but Daivari caught him with a powerbomb. He tagged in Hassan, and Rosey ran in...but Hassan sent Rosey over the top rope. He then caught Hurricane with the modified STO, and Daivari hit him with a top-rope legdrop. Hassan pinned Hurricane for the win.

-----

The Mystery Partner

["Burn in My Light" by Mercy Drive plays, and Randy Orton makes his way out, wearing his wrestling gear. He gets in the ring, and takes a microphone (rather rudely) from Lilian.]

Orton: "Last week....last week Batista, you suprised me. I made the open challenge sure, but I never thought you'd stick your nose in and find my opponent. And what suprised me even more was the fact that you got somebody who wasn't even under contract to RAW! So I'll admit Batista...you got one up on me. [pop.] But that didn't piss me off. What pissed me off was the fact that I had to find a tag team partner for a match tonight! Now, I'll admit....there are a lot of people out there who aren't exactly fond of me. And knowing who I was going up against...I needed to find somebody tough. Somebody who could take a lot of punishment. Somebody....extreme."

[The crowd gives Orton a mixed reaction, as he looks at the ramp.]

Orton: "I made a few calls, and after being turned down a few times, I found somebody. He wouldn't be my first choice, but he'll do. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you former ECW Alumni.....one of the Impact Players....Justin....Credible!!!"

[some rock music plays, and Justin Credible makes his way down to the ring to boos, with a few cheers mixing in.]

-----

Tag Team Match:

Batista/Rhyno vs Randy Orton/Justin Credible

Good, fun brawl. Although some of the fans didn't know who Credible was, they warmed up to him, showering him with boos as he cheated and brawling with Rhyno and Batista. Orton was clearly out-classed, but he managed to hold his own by simply getting out of the way of his opponent's attacks. Credible took a beating, but just as Orton said, he took it like a man, acting as though it didn't harm him at all. At the end of the match, Rhyno went for the Gore on Orton, but Orton jumped out of the way, and tagged in Credible. Credible got hit with the Gore, and Orton rolled out of the ring, walking up the entrance ramp, looking scared. Batista smirked, and Rhyno tagged him in. Batista looked at Orton, picked up Credible, and hit the Batista Bomb on him, pinning him for the win. Orton just walked up the ramp.

-----

JR: "Batista and Rhyno just destroyed Justin Credible....and Randy Orton doesn't give a damn! What the hell kinda partner is he?"

-----

Quick Results:

-Chris Benoit won a 10-Man Battle Royal (69)

-Lita def. Christy Hemme (65)

-Hassan/Daivari def. Justice League (75)

WWE Smackdown! Results for July 28th

Taped from Rochester, New York (9,035 in Attendance)

[Before the Smackdown! montage rolls, a video of the altercation between John Cena and Eddie Guerrero from last week are shown. We are then taken to the Smackdown! video played to "Bodies", and then the pyros explode and we are welcomed by the best announce team in the biz.]

COLE-Welcome to the last Smackdown! before The Great American Bash folks!.

TAZZ-How are ya feeling from last week, Cole?

COLE-You know Tazz, it's bad enough I actually have to face Kane in a match tonight. I don't even want to talk about it or what happened last week.

TAZZ-Don't worry Cole. I'm sure our General Managa won't actually let you face that monsta tonight. And speaking of our General Manager-

[Foley makes his way out to a loud pop. He gets into the ring and grabs a mic.]

FOLEY-A few weeks ago I sent a present out to a RAW superstar, and this week I am hurt. I am hurt because not only did he not like my present, but he threw it to the ground. I wasw actually hoping me and him could become buddies and hang out. But he doesn't want that, and I am sad because of it. But there is one thing that can raise my spirits, and that's being here in Rochester [Cheap Pop]! And tonight is special for you fans because you get to see a rematch. Last week Simon Dean won a match to face Orlando Jordan for the United States Championship. But he won by using an illegal move. Which is why tonight, Simon Dean will face Rey Mysterio again and this time the winner will go on to face Orlando this Sunday on Pay-Per-View! And if anything illegal happens and the ref doesn't catch it, you can bet Mick Foley, Smackdown! GM, will!

[The System's music begins playing and all three men make their way out with Simon System Gym Bag in hand. They get into the ring and Dean grabs a mic of his own.]

DEAN-Excuse me, Mr. Foley. But how fair is that? I have had no time to train or work out for this match. And I am sure that these fans would much rather step into a gym rather than watch me once again dominate the fat infested Rey Mysterio. So if you know what is good for Smackdown!, you will reconsider. And by the way, have you lost some weight?

FOLEY-Well Simon. I appreciate you coming out here and telling me how each and every one of these fans feel, but you will still have a rematch tonight. And just so you know, I GAINED weight.

[Dean smiles and then orders Kazarian and Swinger to attack Foley, which they do. They are able to get Foley down on his stomach and then all three start laying into him with boots. Then the speakers blare -Weeeelllll! Well It's The Big Show!- And the 500 hundred pound giant makes his way out. He walks down the ramp and The System continues laying into Foley. They realize that they should run away by the time Show is climbing the steel steps. Kazarian goes towards Show and delivers a dropkick to him when Show gets onto the apron, but the giant barely even moves. Swinger goes over but gets grabbed by the throat and tossed into the corner. Show finally gets into the ring and Simon goes over to him next and begins delivering punch after punch to him. When Dean looks up to see it didn't affect The Showster, he begins back up, only to bump into Foley. He turns around and Foley stuff his hand down Dean's throat and locks in the Mandible Claw. The camera heads to the back after Dean falls to the mat with Show going after Kazarian and Swinger.]

JBL-So you guys now know the benefits of being a Cabinet member? Not only do you get to be the Secretaries of Defense for the best damn and only Wrestling God in history, but you also get free dental. So just make sure you do your damndest this Sunday. I don't want The Bashams winning against a team that doesn't care about winning and I don't want you winning and not even trying.

REIGNS-No problem, JBL. Even though we have some heat in the past, that is all done with now that Kurt Angle is over on RAW with the other losers. You can bet on us winning this Sunday.

JBL-Good. I like to hear things like that. Now go on and get out of here. You need to go and get ready for your match. Three days can go by fast.

[Reigns and Morgan walk away and as they do, The Bashams walk up looking confused.]

DOUG-What was that? What were they doing with you?

JBL-I was just letting them in on some of the perks of being in my Cabinet.

DANNY-Well it's good to know that you want to trust us when we can't even trust you!

JBL-Hey! I made you! I turned you from losers into stars! And I can take all of that away if I wanted!

[The Basham's just roll their eyes and walk away from JBL.]

[We return with the camera in Torrie's dressing room, where she only has on short shorts and her bra. She hears a knock on the door and opens it up, and standing there is Tajiri. He looks at her, then at her breasts and then turns around.]

TORRIE-Tajiri, it's ok. It isn't like you've never seen them before.

TAJIRI-I sorry...Did you..get my present?

TORRIE-Yes I did. And thank you. But I'm still not sure if I can go back to you. I just need some time to think about it, ok?

Normal Singles Match

Joey Mercury w/ Johnny Nitro & Melina Perez [vs] Bubba Ray Dudley w/ D-Von Dudley

[An okay match, but not too sure if it is a match that will get people hyped for the Tables match this Sunday. Melina and Nitro kept on getting involved and D-Von had enough. He went over and grabbed Melina by the hair and started yelling at her, but he was nailed from behind with a chair from Nitro. The ref started yelling at Nitro, who started walking around the ring, and Melina got on the apron to argue with the ref. Meanwhile, Nitro was now on the other side of the ring and Bubba went for a Bubba Cutter, but Mercury shoved him towards the ropes. Nitro NAILED Bubba in the head with the chair and Mercury rolled Bubba up. Melina got off the apron and the ref made the 3 count.]

[We cut to the back and see MNM cooling down in the area right near the entrance curtain, drinking water. They then throw the water bottles to the ground and yell at the nearest staf member.]

NITRO-What the hell is this?!?

MERCURY-We asked for the best bottle water! We expect to be treated like we deserve to be treated, and giving us this warm crap that you normal people drink doesn't cut it!

BUBBA-You deserve to be treated like the trash you are!

[The camera pans over and The Dudleyz start walking towards MNM, with D-Von holding his back and Bubba holding his head. The make it to MNM and start a brawl, but MNM quickly get an advantage. After a few minutes of brawling, Nitro takes Bubba down after slamming his head into a table with beverages and snacks on it. Melina sets up two tables against the wall, at an angle, and MNM both grab D-Von. They pull him towards them and then shove him into the table, breaking it. They grab Bubba and repeat the process on them. MNM then walk away laughing at their fallen foes.]

Normal Singles Match for #1 Contendership for the WWE U.S. Championship

Simon Dean w/ Kazarian & Swinger [vs] Rey Mysterio

[Same match from last week basically. Not sure if the fans were too impressed with either side. Mysterio hit some nice moves again this week, but not as many or as good as last week. Dean again tried having Kazarian and Swinger interfering, but Mysterio was prepared this week and took both guys out. Mysterio nailed a drop toe hold to Dean into the middle rope and went for the 619, but Dean dodged it. Dean then set Mysterio up for a reverse suplex, but Mysterio countered it into an amazing huricanrana. Mysterio then went onto the outside apron. Kazarian and Swinger were side by side and were going to try and grab Mysterio, but he jumped onto the middle rope and delivered an asai moonsault to them. Mysterio got back onto the apron and by this time Dean was back up. Mysterio jumped on to the top rope and delivered the West Coast Pop for the win!]

[We return from the break and right as we do, fire explodes on the entranced stage and Kane walks out. As he walks down the aisle you can see that sadistic smile of his. He climbs into the ring and grabs a mic.]

KANE-Michael! Time to get in the ring and play-ay!

[Michael Cole begins to take his headset off but as he does, Mick Foley's music starts playing and the GM of Smackdown! steps out onto the stage with a mic.]

FOLEY-Kane. Last week I thought it was a good idea to let you choose your opponent. But this week I'm starting to think it isn't that great of an idea. You will still get to face the opponent of your choosing, but I have changed the match a little. It is no longer a singles match. It is now a LUMBERJACK match! And here are your four lumberjacks.

[Foley walks into the back again and the cowbells begin to ring. The Cabinet makes their way out in smiles and they make their way to ring side, each person taking one side of the ring. Michael Cole now stands up, but Tazz springs up and puts his hand on Cole's chest, stopping him from going into the ring. Tazz takes his headset and sunglasses off. He then walks to the side of the ring and take his coat off, followed by his shirt underneath to reveal the two straps of his wrestling uniform. He finally climbs the steps and gets into the ring.]

Normal Singles Match

Kane [vs] Tazz

[When Tazz finally got into the ring Kane just laughed. Tazz stopped the laughing after running up to Kane and nailing him in the gut with a clothesline. Tazz started pounding away at Kane's ribs and dodged Kane at every move. Kane was able to finally catch him by the throat and shove him against the ropes, but JBL grabbed Kane's leg and pulled him to the outside. All four Cabinet members then began to whoop Kane, but the monster threw all of them off of his body. Kane took The Bashams out with a double clothesline, took Jordan out with a big boot, and he brawled with JBL. The ref started counting to 10, and Kane made it back into the ring at 8. Tazz got on top of Kane and locked the Tazzmission on him. JBL now slid into the ring and as Kane turned around he nailed a Clothesline From Hell on him. The ref called for the bell and Tazz let go of Kane and just left the ring as The Cabinet walked to the back. As Tazz put his shirt and coat back on and sat down, Kane sat up in the ring. He first stared at Tazz, but then got up and started walking to the back.[

JBL-Don't even think of ruining this car! You ruined my limo already and your damn brother ruined my other car last week! At this rate you idiots are going to put me in the poor house!

KANE-This car should be the least of your worries, JBL. From day one you made my stay on Smackdown! hell. And not many people can make my life hell! But once people do, they wish that THEY were IN hell! And in three days you will wish that hell was just a pit stop to where you are going to be.

[With that, Kane walks to the side of the car and reaches underneath it. He starts lifting and actually lifts the car up and flips it over! Kane walks away laughing as JBL looks at the third vehicle that was destroyed.]

John Cena [vs] Eugene Dinsmore

[Even though Cena was a little pissed off from last week, he didn't take it too hard on Eugene. Although he should have because Eugene managed to get some close pinfalls during the match. Cena delivered an F-U to Eugene, but a few seconds after he did Eugene started screaming and holding his head like he did in past weeks, but this time he started twitching around. Cena wasn't sure what to do, but he should have pinned him because before he could make a decision Eddie Guerrero's music played and he made his way out with Cena's WWE title. This distracted Cena long enough for Eugene to get back up, sort of stalking him from behind. Eddie then pointed at Cena and walked to the back. Cena turned around and Eugene went for an F-U for the second week in a row, but Cena slipped out and nailed another F-U of his own to Eugene for the win.]

Christian [vs] The Undertaker

[Pretty good match. Christian basically did what Tazz did to Kane earlier and just used his speed to escape Taker. But Taker did catch Christian at times and made him pay with a few series of punches. Taker was about to finish the match with a Choke Slam, but the minute he grabbed Christian by the throat, the lights went out. They came back on and Kane was standnig behind the Deadman. Taker let go of Christian and turned around. Kane and Taker just stared at eachother. Christian got between both of them and slapped them at the same time. The brothers teamed up for quite possibly the final time and grabbed Christian by the throat and delivered a Double Choke Slam. After they did that, they returned to staring at eachother as Smackdown! came to a close.]

TAZZ-Kane and The Undahtakah just sent Christian right to hell, Cole!

COLE-And that might be a preview of things to come this Sunday! Make sure to tune into The Great American Bash in only three days at 8 o'clock eastern time! And Tazz, thank you for taking Kane on!

TAZZ-We have all our lives for you to thank me, Cole, but for now-Goodnight!

WWE SMACKDOWN! presents THE GREAT AMERICAN BASH

LIVE from the Charlotte Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina (20,421 In Attendance)

[The opening video of the night started with the text "A Legacy Begins", followed by highlights of some of the past Great American Bash matches, such as Dusty Rhodes vs Terry Blunchard from GAB '85, Sting vs The Great Muta from GAB '89, Ric Flair vs Randy Savage from GAB '95, and Chris Benoit vs Meng from GAB '97. The video then showed the text "The Legacy Returns", followed by Kurt Angle announcing the return of The Great American Bash last year and some clips from the matches that took place, like JBL vs Eddie Guerrero for the WWE title, John Cena vs RVD vs Booker T vs Rene Dupree for the WWE US title, and The Undertaker vs The Dudleyz. Then it showed the text "The Legacy Continues" followed by highlights of the fueds that have escalated played to "No Games" by Breaking Benjamin. First it shows clips of the Fatal Four Way Elimination match that took place a few weeks ago with Eddie coming out on top, Eddie and Cena's Rap Battle-turned-street fight with Eddie stealing Cena's WWE title, Eugene delivering an F-U to Cena as he looked for revenge on Eddie a couple weeks ago, and then clips of Cena stealing Eddie's low rider. The next set of clips featured Christian and Carlito. It showed clips of Christian mocking Carlito by dressing up like him, Carlito spitting an apple in Christian's face and smashing the apple against his head ala Roddy Piper, and comments made by both men towards eachother. The next clips featured small clips of Mysterio losing against Simon Dean for the chance of fighting for the US title, Mick Foley making a rematch the following week, and Mysterio winning the second match. The final set of clips was based around Kane and The Cabinet. It first showed Kane arriving to Smackdown! on his first night and getting punked out by JBL. It then showed clips of Kane becoming darker and more evil by kidnapping JBL and his Cabinet, putting Val Venis on the injured list, attacking Michael Cole, and ended with The Undertaker and Kane staring face to face on the closing moments of Smackdown! three days ago.

The video then cut to a graphic of the American flag. Fireworks exploded in front of the flag and The Great American Bash logo appeared with twenty stars shining and shimmering underneath and a voice over that said "WWE Smackdown! presents The Great American Bash 20th Anniversary!". The cameras then zoomed into one of the stars and showed the live crowd and the red, white and blue pyro display. After the pyros are finished, the camera pans the arena to show the fans standing on their feet with signs and cheering. As the camera continues panning the arena, we are welcomed by our announce team of Tazz and Michael Cole.]

COLE-Welcome to WWE Smackdown!'s Great American Bash! It was one year ago that Kurt Angle brought this great event back to life and it's a good thing that he did, Tazz!

TAZZ-No doubt, Cole. Tonight's line-up is nothing like any other Great American Bash, though, because it is the best card in the past twenty years. From Orlando Jordan defending his United States Championship again Rey Mysterio to John Bradshaw Layfield facing the monstah Kane. I bet you can't wait for that match, Cole.

COLE-JBL is not on my most liked wrestlers list, but I do hope that he beats Kane...That's not all I'm looking forward to, though. We also have twenty wrestlers making special appearances tonight. All of which have been on a Great American Bash event in the past, and my mind is running with idea's of who they could be!

TAZZ-Well we have to wait for that one because right now we have to get ready for our first match.

Normal Tag Match w/ Winner(s) Becoming/Remaining Cabinet Members

Luther Reigns and Matt Morgan [vs] The Basham Brothers

[The match started off with Reigns and Doug in the ring. Both brawled some with Reigns getting the eventual upperhand. He started hitting some elbow smashes and forearms to the back on Doug, followed by whipping him to the corner. He then nailed a running clothesline. He did this to two more corners but on the final attempt, Doug was finally able to duck. Even though he escaped a clothesline, Reigns quickly got back on the offense. Some tags were made a little down the line and ended up being Danny Basham and Reigns, who was getting a little tired at this point. Danny got more offense in than Doug, but it was still basically a brawlfest. Some punches, some irish whips, some back tosses from Reigns. Danny started fighting back with punches to the mid-section to Reigns and then whipped him to the ropes. Reigns came running back and Danny delivered a knee to his gut, making him flip over and land on the mat on his back. Danny took the time while Reigns was down to tag Doug back in, and both then began double teaming him. Morgan tried stepping in but the ref stopped him. The Bashams attempted the Ball & Gag, but Reigns elbowed Danny in the ribs and then nailed a boot to Doug. Reigns tagged Morgan in and the two monsters began opening up on both Bashams, with Morgan taking Doug and Reigns taking Danny. Both men whipped both Bashams towards eachother, resulting in a head on collision and both falling down. Reigns finally got out of the ring and Morgan picked The Bashams back up and sent Doug to the corner. He then sent Danny to the corner and ran at them. Danny moved out of the way and Doug ducked and followed up with a school boy, which Morgan escaped from. The ref was able to get Danny out of the ring, which left the match back to one on one.

A few minutes later into the match, Reigns was back in the ring with Danny and was in control. He whipped him to the ropes and hit a big sidewalk slam to him, following up with and elbow drop across the chest. Reigns then picked him up, sent him to the corner and delivered a series of punches. He sat Danny up on the top turnbuckle and climbed to the second rope and hooked his arm around his head, setting up for a superplex. Danny nailed Reigns in the gut a few times and then bounced him a little on the second rope and then sent Reigns to the mat with a modified sit-out front suplex. Reigns was feeling the pain in his stomach after landing and Danny got off the turnbuckle. He slowly started walking to his corner to make a tag, but Reigns grabbed him by the foot and tripped him to the mat. Both men got back to their feet a few seconds afterwards and Reigns whipped Danny to his and Morgan's corner. Reigns ran at him, but Danny delivered a drop toe hold to him, sending Reigns' head into the middle turnbuckle. Danny then started crawling to tag Doug in, but Morgan slapped Reigns' back to tag himself in and the monster quickly got in the ring. He ran at Doug and knocked him off the apron and then started kicking Danny in the head. After some more kicks, Morgan picked Danny up and whipped him to the ropes. He came running back and Morgan nailed him in the gut. He then lifted Danny up onto his shoulders, but before he could do anything Doug slid into the ring and hit him in the stomach with a forearm. Danny slid off of Morgan's shoulders and landed back on his feet. Reigns got into the ring and ran at Danny, but Doug grabbed him out of the way. Reigns collided into Morgan, knocking both men down. The Bashams quickly took care of Reigns but rolling him out of the ring. They then picked Morgan up and tried finishing him off, but he still had a little fight left. He eventually grabbed both by the throat. Both Danny and Doug then nailed him in the gut with a kick and delivered the Ball & Gag for the win.]

COLE-And The Bashams get the win over Matt Morgan and Luther Reigns!

TAZZ-I wonduh if JBL will change his tune with his Secretaries of Defense proving they can be trusted and being able to take down those two monstahs.

COLE-Who know's what is going through his head right now. He probably doesn't care about this match. But what we care about is in little under a month RAW and Smackdown! join back up to present WWE SummerSlam!

----------

A video promoting SummerSlam 2005 is then played. It shows kids in a classroom, sort of like a back-to-school kind of thing, with a kid putting an apple on the teachers desk. Then Kurt Angle, Triple H, Shelton Benjamin, Christian, Carlito, John Cena, The Dudleyz and Monsters Inc. barge into the room dressed up like teachers. Angle tells the kids that this school year will be a little different. It then shows clips of all the wrestlers fighting eachother in the classroom, even with The Dudleys delivering a 3D onto a desk to Christian. It ends with Calito sitting back in a chair at the teachers desk, taking a bite of an apple that was left there by a student, saying "Now dat's cool!".

Normal Singles Match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Paul London© [vs] Chavo Guerrero

[Nice fast paced match that needs to happen more often. At the beginning London and Chavo hit some fast series of reversals. It went from London going for a suplex with Chavo sliding behind, Chavo going for a germa suplex with London flipping through onto his feet, Chavo rolling through backwards with London grabbing him in a wheelbarrow position and then lifting him up, Chavo countering into a bulldog attempt, London countering that into a back suplex attempt, Chavo flipping through and landing behind London and finishing the reversals with a dropkick to the back of London's head. Chavo took control for a while, whipping London to the ropes and delivering some monkey tosses and hitting some nice huricanranas. London started getting some control a while after, after he reversed a huricanrana drop Chavo into an Ally-Oop type move from the Big Show's arsenal, which caused Chavo to land throat first on the top rope. After delivering that move London had more control, but Chavo was still getting in quite a bit of offense as well. London lifted Chavo up into a suplex at one point and landed him on his feet on the outside apron. Chavo then lifted London up for a suplex to the outside, but London landed on HIS feet on the outside mats. London then picked Chavo up in an electric chair drop position. After backing up from the ring, Chavo spun around into another huricanrana.

Later on, London was in the ring after back tossing Chavo to the outside. London went to the top rope as Chavo started getting back to his feet. Once he was standing, London jumped from the top with a shooting star body splash on Chavo! The crowd started going crazy after seeing that move. The ref started counting them out, but London made it into the ring at the 6 count and slid back out. He picked Chavo up and went to slide him into the ring. Chavo put his feet up against the side of the ring apron to stop it, though, and then elbowed London. He then slid London into the ring and slid in himself. He picked the Cruiserweight Champ up and suplexed him onto the top rope. Chavo ran to the ropes and delivered a neck breaker while London was still dangling on the top rope. It looked like London landed right on his neck and the ref checked on him as Chavo just stood and smiled at his work. London started stirring and began getting up, so Chavo went over and started beating him down with some punches. London still made it to his feet and blocked a punch and kicked Chavo. He then whipped him to the ropes. Chavo came running back and London jumped up and Chavo ran underneath him. London landed back on his feet and rolled onto his back. Chavo came running back and got catapulted across the ring by London's legs. After London hit some more moves on Chavo, he took him down long enough after delivering a powerbomb into facebuster. London crawled to the corner and used it to help himself up. He climbed up to the top and went for a Shooting Star Press, but Chavo put his knees up at the last second. London rolled around in pain as Chavo slowly but surely made it back to a standing position. He grabbed London on the ground and locked in the Lowrider Submission. London was about to tap out, but he started to reach for the ropes. London just barely touched the ropes and the ref called for the break. Chavo refused to release, but he did after the ref started counting to 5. London began getting to his feet and Chavo just picked him up and delivered a Gory Bomb. He went to the top rope and was about to jump, but he climbed back down instead. He picked London back up, delivered another Gory Bomb, and went back to the top rope. This time Chavo jumped and delivered a frog splash for the win.]

COLE-We have a new WWE Cruiserweight Champion!

TAZZ-And what a match it was, Cole. Nice spots, lots of high flying action. Everything a good cruiserweigh match should have.

COLE-Yeah, and if you liked that match then you will love the one coming up. After losing two weeks ago to Simon Dean, Rey Mysterio had a rematch last week and won it for the chance to face Orlando Jordan for the WWE United States title tonight! Let's take a look.

----------

Clips of the Mysterio/Dean match from two weeks ago are shown with Simon winning. A clip of Foley announcing a rematch three days ago and clips of the second Mysterio/Dean match are shown with Mysterio pulling out the win.

Normal Singles Match for the WWE United States Championship

Rey Mysterio [vs] Orlando Jordan©

[Decent match up with Mysterio saving it from sucking too much. Jordan had a bit tired out Bashams at ringside with him for some insurance. Jordan used his weight and height advantage to keep Mysterio down a lot of the time at the beginning of the match. He basically treated Mysterio like a ragdoll, just throwing him around and beating the hell out of him. Mysterio began coming back early on after he went for a baseball slide to slide behind Jordan after running to the ropes, Jordan grabbed his legs, and Mysterio countered into a bulldog. Mysterio then ran to the ropes and came back to deliver a flipping senton to Orlando's back. Mysterio hit some more nice moves, but Orlando soon got back to dominating the match. He hit some european uppercuts, back elbows, and kicks to the midsection on Mysterio. He whipped Rey to the ropes and missed a clothesline. Mysterio came running back and successfully slid between Jordan's legs and stood back up behind him. Mysterio jumped up and rolled Jordan up into a pin using his legs, but Jordan kicked out before a 3 count could be made. Once Jordan got back up he clotheslined Mysterio so hard he flipped inside out. Jordan then mounted him and began delivering elbow smash after elbow smash. He stopped and pulled Mysterio to his feet as he got back up himself and whipped him to the corner. Mysterio jumped onto the middle turnbuckle and moonsaulted onto Jordan's shoulders. He used his momentum to land on his feet with Jordan in a reverse facelock, and then Mysterio nailed a dropping reverse ddt.

Mysterio was still in control more towards the end of the match after Jordan whipped him to the ropes. Mysterio jumped onto the top rope and jumped backwards. Right after he jumped he spun around and nailed a bodysplash to Jordan. He stayed on top for the pin but only managed to get a 2 count. Danny slid into the ring at this point and the ref kept him from interfering and Doug slid in on the opposite side with a chair. Mysterio was now on his feet and he ducked a chair swing from Doug. Mysteio then ran to the ropes and delivered a front dropkick into the chair, smashing it against Doug's face. Mysterio went out onto the outside apron and Jordan got up to a knee. He grabbed the chair with one hand and got to his feet. Mysterio then jumped onto the top rope and was going to go for perhaps the West Coast Pop, but Jordan nailed him in the head with the chair. Jordan then fell back to the mat. Doug slowly grabbed the chair and crawled out of the ring and Danny got off of the apron. The ref turned around and saw both Jordan and Mysterio down and began counting to 10. The ref made it to 9 by the time Orlando managed to drape his arm over Mysterio's chest. The ref started the pinfall, and Mysterio kicked out right at the last minute! Jordan got to his feet at a slow pace but by the time he did he picked Mysterio up. He kicked him in the gut and ran to the ropes. He came running back and went for a Swinging Neckbreaker, but Mysterio spun through and shoved Jordan back into the ropes. Jordan came back and Mysterio nailed a drop toe hold into the ropes. He yelled to the crowd and ran to the ropes. He came running back and nailed the 619. Jordan landed on his back and Mysterio Dropped The Dime on him. He quickly went for the pinfall. 1----------2----------3!]

COLE-And we crown another new champion tonight! After all the time in the WWE Rey Mysterio has finally proved that he is much more than just your ordinary cruiserweight!

TAZZ-Yeah, Cole. But after this you know that JBL is gonna be mad at Orlando Jordan for losing to Mysterio.

COLE-He may actually care about this one, Tazz. And..What the? My God! The Bashams are now double teaming Rey Mysterio and..and now they just delivered the Ball & Gag!

TAZZ-It doesn't look like their done yet. Now they have Mysterio by the arms and Orlando has the chair...That chair shot is gonna knock Mysterio out for a while Cole!

COLE-I can't believe this! Well I bet JBL will be happy about the aftermath of this match! Anyways, next we have the twenty special guests appearing, and even though what just happened disgusts me, it can't ruin this moment!

----------

The same video that opened up tonights Great American Bash is played again, minus the "The Legacy Continues" bit.

----------

[We return from the video and Mick Foley's music begins to play. The crowd pops loud for him as Foley comes out dressed up in the same outfit he was the week of the Fourth of July. He walks down the aisle, gets into the ring and grabs a mic.]

FOLEY-Twenty years ago a great event was born...Right here in Charlotte, North Carolina [Cheap Pop]! That event is The Great American Bash. And it has taken twenty years for this great event to return exclusively to the place it was born. But it has finally returned and it has returned in a huge way, because in the back are the TWENTY special guests that have appeared on past Great American Bash's! And I'm not going to waste anytime by talking anymore, so let's bring out the first guest!

[Immediatley after Foley finishes, JBL's music starts playing and the tough Texan/New Yorker makes his way out to a crowd full of boo's. As JBL walks down the ramp the camera gets a shot of Foley, who looks confused. JBL gets into the ring and gets a mic of his own instead of taking Foley's.]

JBL-Be quiet! One year ago...The Great American Bash returned to audiences everywhere. Not because of Kurt Angle, but because of ME! I was in such high demand that our then-General Manager, who by the way actually knew how to run Smackdown!, was forced to bring this event back from the dead. Not only was I the reason The Great American Bash returned last year, but I also won the WWE Championship for the first time in my career and I then went on to become the best and most successful champion in history! So when I took a look at some of the people you brought as "special guests", I got upset. Upset because I should have been one of those guests. But instead, you decide to bring in some talentless losers who need walkers! So not only am I telling you, but I am demanding you to make me one of the special guests and to announce me as the VIP guest!

FOLEY-You know, John, you are right about some things. You are right about The Great American Bash being brought back last year. You are even right about you winning the WWE Championship last year at this very event. You even went on to hold that title for NINE months. Not many people can hold that title that long. But you ARE not and WILL not be one of the special guests tonight. I spent all month getting in contact with these great wrestlers and they deserve to be special guests. You have yet to do anything deserving enough of that honor.

[JBL takes his mic and slams it into Foley's head. He begins throwing punches at Foley. All of a sudden, -Well I'll Be Damned!- begins playing and the crowd goes nuts as Farooq walks out in his APA gear! He walks down the aisle and slides into the ring. JBL looks at Farooq, who then smiles at JBL. Farooq pulls a beer from his back pocket and hands it to JBL. The crowd begins to boo, but they quickly start cheering again once Farooq kicks JBL a few times. He then whips JBL to the ropes and delivers an Angry Man Spinebuster. Farooq continues to kick JBL until he falls out of the ring to the outside. Security then comes out and drags JBL to the back. Foley gets back to his feet and grabs the mic.]

FOLEY-Allow me to introduce the first Special Guest of the night! He has appeared at two Great American Bash events. First teaming up with Butch Reed as 'Doom' at Great American Bash 1990 and then competing in singles action the following year at Great American Bash 1993. He is Ron "Farooq" Simmons!

[An original tune starts playing and Magnum TA makes his way out next.]

FOLEY-The second Special Guest of the night has appeared at only two Great American Bash's as well. The first time was the very first Bash when he won the United States Championship in 1985, and the second time was in 1986 when he won a Bunkhouse Match, lost a World Title match, and won a match in a Best-Of-Seven Series for the United States title. He is, Magnum T..A! [TA gets in the ring and another original tune starts playing] The third guest has appeared at six Bash events. In 1985 at the first one when he lost to Ric Flair in a World Title match, in 1986 when he lost against Magnum TA in the Best-of-Seven Series, in 1987 when he lost the United States Championship and was part of the War Games match, in 1988 when he participated in a tag match that ended in a no contest, in 1991 when he won a Russian Chain match, and in 1992 when he lost a Semi-Final match for the NWA Tag Team titles. His name is Nikita Koloff![More original music plays as Koloff gets in the ring] Our next guest has appeared at only one Great American Bash in 1990 when his team won a match by DQ, and his name is "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff![Even more original music starts playing as Orndorff gets in the ring] Our fifth guest this evening has also only appeared at one Great American Bash in 1990, and he is the legendary Harley Race!

[As Race gets into the ring another piece of original music starts playing.]

FOLEY-Our sixth through ninth guests have appeared at a total of six Bash events. In 1986 when three of these four men fought eachother in a tag match and when one lost to Ric Flair in a World Title Steel Cage match, in 1987 when all four battled eachother in a tag match, in 1988 when two won a tag match for the United States Tag Team Championships, in 1989 when two participated and were on the winning team of War Games match, in 1990 when two lost to the team of Doom and when two fought in a match for the U.S. Tag Team titles again, and in 1991 when two of these men actually fought eachother in singles action. They are two teams with one of the most heated rivalries in wrestling history. They are the Rock N' Roll Express, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson, and the Midnight Express, Stan Lane and Bobby Eaton!

[The two legendary teams already get into the ring as Foley finishes introducing them. A familiar tune starts playing and the crowd goes nuts as the next guest makes his way out.]

FOLEY-The tenth guest is another legend. He has appeared at two Great American Bash's. Once in 1989 when he lost a US title match by DQ and again in 1992 when he teamed up with Nikita Koloff and took part in two matches that night in a tournament for the NWA Tag Team Championships. He is The Dragon. He is...Ricky Steamboat!

[The legendary Steamboat climbs into the ring. -OOOHHHHHH!- then blares throughout the arena and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan walks out with his 2x4 over his shoulder!]

FOLEY-This man is one of the most patriotic men I have ever met, and he has appeared at only one in 1995 when he won a match by DQ. You all can recognize his trademark two by four. He is 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan!

[Duggan gets into the ring and gives his little thumbs up to the crowd. "Badstreet USA" begins to play after Duggan finishes up.]

FOLEY-The next guest has appeared at four Bash events and he was a part of a stable that old school fans will remember. He is Michael Hayes!

[Hayes gets into the ring and does a Freebird taunt. -Oh It's Time! It's Time! It's Vader Time!- begins playing and the man they call Vader walks out with his mask on.]

FOLEY-One of the biggest wrestlers there is, and he has appeared at two Bash's. First in 1990 and then in 1992 when he won the WCW World title. It is time to introduce the thirteenth guest, VADER!

[Vader steps into the ring as the next person's music starts playing. -Ohhhh What A Rush!- plays and the crowd goes wild as Animal walks out in his Road Warrior gear.]

FOLEY-The fourteenth guest is one half of one of the best tag teams in wrestling history. He has participated in four Great American Bash's with his partner who is resting in the Heaven's above. He is Road Warrior Animal!

[Hawk gets in the ring and taunts for the crowd one more time. OOOHHHH Yeah! starts playing and "The Macho Man" walks out to a decent pop.]

FOLEY-Oh Yeah! The Macho Man! The Macho King! He has appeared at four Bash shows, losing in 1999 in a World title match, losing in 1998, winning a Falls Count Anywhere match in 1997, and losing in 1995. Randy Savage is the fifteenth guest of the night!

As Savage gets in the ring and poses, -American Dream- plays and another legend makes his way out.]

FOLEY-This is another wrestling legend. He has been at four Great American Bash events and he is truely great. He is The American Dream, Dusty Rhodes!

[Rhodes steps into the already filled ring and joins the other fourteen guests. Some more original music plays again and the crowd gives a mixed reaction to the next three men that walk out.]

FOLEY-These three men were a part of one of the greatest factions in the history of wrestling. Combine, they have been at seven Great American Bash's. They are Tully Blanchard, Ole Anderson, and Arn Anderson, three of the Original Four Horsemen!

[As those three men climb into the ring, the speakers blare the famous words, -WOOOO!- , and the crowd absolutely goes nuts as the final special guest makes his way out.]

FOLEY-Our last guest tonight needs no introduction but he is getting it anyway! He is a sixteen time World Champion and he has been at a record of ELEVEN Great American Bash's. Ladies and gentleman, I present to you the legendary, the great, the final person of the Original Four Horsemen, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair!

[Ric Flair takes his time strutting down the ramp and when he gets into the ring, he does a strut one more time.]

FOLEY-These men are great wrestlers who are all a part of the Great American Bash legacy. But there are other men who are not able to be with us this evening, and I have put a special video together for them.

[The camera cuts to a video played to "My Sacrifice" by Creed. It shows clips of wrestlers who have passed away in the last twenty years who have been at GAB events. The wrestlers shown are Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig, Road Warrior Hawk, Bobby Duncum Jr., Brian Pillman, Renegade, Hercules "Super Invader" Hernandez, Terry Gordy, Shinya Hashimoto, Junk Yard Dog, Chris Adams, Wahoo McDaniel, and "Maddog" Buzz Sawer. After the video ended the camera cut back to the ring where it could spot a few of the wrestlers with tears in their eyes.]

FOLEY-These twenty men and those twelve men and all the other wrestlers who aren't here tonight are a part of a legacy. And before they go, I am sure they want one last farewell from WWE fans!

[Every fan in the arena stands on their feet and gives one hell of an ovation, the biggest and most deafening of the evening so far. Foley walks around the ring as best as he can and shakes hands and hugs every other wrestler in the ring.]

Singles Table Match

Johnny Nitro w/ Joey Mercury & Melina Perez [vs] Bubba Ray Dudley w/ D-Von Dudley

[A much better match than the one that took place on Smackdown! three days ago. The beginning of the match consisted of pretty much both guys just battling it out and barely even going for a table. Bubba slapped a headlock on, Nitro shoved him to the ropes, and Bubba knocked him down with a shoulder block on his way back. He ran to the ropes and jumped over Nitro as he rolled to his stomach. Nitro got back to his feet and missed a clothesline. As he turned around Bubba nailed him with a small series of punches and finished it off by grabbing his crotch and nailing Nitro in the head with an elbow. The match went on a while with them just exchanging punches and hitting some soft moves on eachother. Nitro was the first to go and get a table after he took Bubba down with a stiff enizguri to the head. Nitro started sliding a table into the ring and D-Von was about to stop him, but Mercury literally jumped on him and started punching him. D-Von grabbed Mercury in a bear hug and slammed him into the corner post. He was too late to stop Nitro, though. Nitro tried putting Bubba through the table on several occasion, but kept on failing. One time in particular was when He set the table up near the corner but Bubba beat him down before he could do anything. Bubba then dragged him to the corner and sat up onto the top turnbuckle. He put Nitro's head between his legs and was about to lift him up, but Melina got into the ring and layed on the table to stop him. Buba just shook his head and lifted Nitro onto his shoulders for a powerbomb. Nitro quickly slippout out and landed on his feet on the mat and punched Bubba a few times. Melina got out of the ring and Nitro went up for s superplex. This time D-Von got into the ring and moved the table as Nitro nailed the superplex.

After some more attempts at putting eachother through the table, Bubba was back in control. He was delivering several knees to Nitro's gut and more elbows to his head. He whipped Nitro to the ropes and countered a clothesline into a Bubba Bomb. He then set a table up with one leg up near the corner, with the side with the leg up away from the corner. Bubba laid Nitro on it as best he could and went to the middle rope. He jumped and went for a reverse splash, but Nitro moved out of the way and Bubba went through the table. Nitro got up and started celebrating, thinking he won, but the ref broke the bad news to him. After hearing it, He lost his smile and slid out of the ring to get another table. He set one up near the side of the ring that lead to the entrance way and slid another into the ring. Before he set it up, he picked Bubba to his feet and Bubba started fighting back. Bubba tossed Nitro to the outside after a few punches and slid out of the ring himself. He was about to pick Nitro up, but Mercury attacked him from behind. D-Von then came over and grabbed Mercury off of Bubba. Those two started fighting and Bubba picked Nitro up. Nitro got to his knees and then slammed Bubba into the stairs. Mercury nailed D-Von with a low blow and tossed him over the barricade. Nitro walked around the ring and took the chair that the timekeeper was sitting on. He slid into the ring with it and waited. Bubba got up holding his head and got onto the apron where the table was near. He was about to get into the ring but Mercury grabbed his feet. Bubba tried making him let go, but Nitro ran and nailed him in the head with the chair. Their plan didn't work, though, because Bubba still held onto the ropes and just fell onto the apron. Nitro slammed the chair down and set the table up in the middle of the ring. Mercury slid in and picked Bubba up and whipped him to the ropes. As he did D-Von finally made it back over the barricade, but Mercury already lifted Bubba up and MNM nailed a 3D of their own to Bubba through the table. The ref hesitated but then called for the bell.]

COLE-This match should continue! It was Nitro versus Bubba, not MNM versus The Dudley Boyz!

TAZZ-Maybe that's why the ref took a few seconds to call for the bell, Cole. He probably didn't know what to do.

COLE-Well if he didn't know what to do he should have let the match continue! Folks, keep watching because up next we have the match that I have been waiting for for a week!

Normal Singles Match

John Bradshaw Layfield [vs] Kane

[JBL was out first, still feeling some effects from getting beaten down by Farooq earlier AND with his limo back, and when Kane came out and got to the ring, he ran out of the ring and hid. Kane just got out too and chased JBL around the ring. JBL finally slid in and delivered boots to Kane that didn't affect him. Kane let JBL attack him a few more minutes until he unleashed his fury. Kane destroyed JBL with clotheslines and sideslams and series of punches in the corner. JBL was able to fight back after escaping from a Choke Slam attempt. He kicked Kane in the gut to get out of it and ran to the ropes and hit a shoulder thrust. Of course it did nothing to Kane and he just sent JBL back to the ropes. He went for a big boot but JBL ducked it and ran to the ropes again. Kane turned around and nailed JBL with a throat thrust. Kane continued beating down on JBL for several minutes before Orlando Jordan came out. The former U.S. Champion stood at ringside as Kane continued the assault on JBL. Jordan got involved in the match for the first time in the night by grabbing Kane's foot as he was stalking JBL for a Choke Slam. Kane just grabbed him by the head and brought him into the apron and grabbed him by the throat. JBL slammed Kane in the back, causing Kane to knock Jordan off the apron. JBL then went on to deliver forearms to the back of Kane's neck. He went to whip him to the ropes, but Kane used his strength and pulled JBL towards him as he held onto the ropes. JBL went over the top rope to the outside where Jordan soon helped him up. Kane slid out and clotheslined both back to the ground. He picked JBL up into a military press position and tossed him over the top rope into the ring.

Kane was still in a lot of control later into the match. JBL had a few seconds of not getting beat down after sliding out of a Tombstone attempt, but Kane quickly went back to being in control. He took JBL down with another big boot. Kane exited the ring afterwards and walked over to the announcers table. He started saying something to Cole and Tazz. JBL now got out of the ring and came up behind Kane and knocked him onto the table. Cole and Tazz got up from their seats to get away from the action as Kane fell on the table. JBL pounded into Kane with his forearms a few times before Kane shoved JBL away. Kane then took the covering off the announcers table and threw it. He then grabbed JBL by the throat and put his face close to his, smiling and talking to him. He lifted JBL into the air, but Orlando came around with a chair where Kane was facing. Kane let go of JBL and hit a big boot into the chair, which slammed into Orlando's face. Kane turned back around and got hit with a Clothesline From Hell. JBL got back into the ring as the ref started counting Kane out. When the ref got to a 5 count Kane sat back up. He got back into the ring as the ref got to 8. JBL tried going for some more kicks, but Kane got back to a vertical stance. They started exchanging blows with eachother and JBL actually started to get the upperhand. He whipped Kane to the ropes but got blasted with a clothesline. Kane then went up to the top rope and sqauted on the top turnbuckle. JBL started getting back up and Kane was ready to jump for his trademark clothesline, but JBL jumped into the ropes, knocking Kane groin first onto the corner. JBL climbed to the middle rope and grabbed Kane, and nailed a super Fallaway Slam! By far the move of the match. After a few more minutes Kane got back to having the upperhand but got knocked down with another Clothesline From Hell. Instead of going for the pin JBL went and got a chair. He slid back into the ring and Kane sat up as he did. The ref fought with JBL over the chair. Kane stood back up and Jordan slid into the ring with a chair of his own. He came up from behind Kane and low blowed him with the chair. JBL dropped the chair and ran at Kane, nailing yet another Clothesline From Hell to him. Jordan took his chair and left the ring as the ref turned around and made the three count. Just as the ref made the three count Kane kicked out, only to be too late. JBL and Orlando hurried to their limo and they were driven to the back. Kane got out of the ring and started to slowly walk up the aisle..]

TAZZ-Well Cole, you must be happy that Kane lost the match.

COLE-I am, but Kane still walked away after the match like nothing happened. He's turning more and more into a monster with every day passing!

TAZZ-Well let's see what JBL-

-----

[[All of a sudden the lights go out and the gong goes off. Kane isn't even halfway up the aisle yet and the lights come on very dim and purple as fog rolls out. Kane starts shaking his head from side to side as The Undertaker walks out. The crowd goes nuts as The Phenom comes out and starts walking towards Kane. The lgihts go back to normal when Kane starts delivering punches to his brother. The Undertaker soon battles back with punches of his own and both men battle down to the ring. They don't go inside of it, though, and instead just battle outside of it. Taker takes Kane and slams his head into the steel steps. He starts taking Kane up the aisle, but Kane comes back with more punches and slams Taker into the barricade. He takes some steps back and runs at Taker, who grabs Kane by the throat as he comes running. Kane grabs Taker by the throat and both men try choking eachother harder than the other. Kane see's that nobody is going to win, so he kicks Taker in the gut and lifts him onto his shoulder. He repostions Taker and delivers a Tombstone on the aisle way. Kane walks up the ramp backwards, laughing, but Taker sits back up and Kane stops laughing and goes back down the aisle. He picks Taker up and puts him back on to his shoulders. He goes for another Tombstone, but Taker reverses it by leaning backwards and setting Kane into the Tombstone position and delivers it. Taker picks Kane up and drags him to the back. The camera follows and shows Taker dragging Kane through the open area. Kane starts fighting back and they fight until they are near the back trailer of a truck that holds equipment. The camera stays a few feet away and Taker slams Kane's head into the trailer. Taker then pulls out matches and lights one. He takes the lit match and lights the entire book on fire. He then tosses the book into the opened trailer and the camera catches flames coming out of the trailer. Taker picks Kane up and tries sending him into the trailer, but Kane elbows his brother. He tries walking away, but Taker turns him around and grabs him by the throat and tosses him into the trailer! He then shuts it, locks it and walks away.]

Normal Singles Match for a WWE Title Match at SummerSlam

Christian [vs] Carlito Caribbean Cool

[A surprisingly TERRIBLE match. The crowd just couldn't get into it that much. It may have been because of the previous match and/or altercation between Kane and Taker, but the match wasn't too good. Not even Christian could save it. The match consisted mostly of Christian trying to save it, too. Carlito was allowed to get in control for the beginning parts of the match with Christian getting in some moves of his own. Carlito held Christian against the ropes and slapped his chest in a downward motion with his palm. He did this a few times until Christian grabbed Carlito by the neck and spun around so the Carlito was against the ropes. Christian then slapped his chest a few times and sent Carlito running to the ropes. Christian delivered a back toss as he came running back. That didn't keep Carlito down too long because after being picked up by Christian he got back to fighting. After beating down on Christian he kicked him in the gut and delivered a Swinging Neckbreaker to him for a two count. He picked Christian back up and went for the Cool Factor, but Christian countered it into an inverted ddt drop. Christian now stayed in control for a while.

The fight was taken to the outside area after a while with Christian still in control. He slammed Carlito into the ringside backfirst two time and brought him over to the steel steps. He went to slam Carlito's head into it but Carlito put his foot up against them and slammed Christian's head into it. He then slid him back into the ring. He climbed back into the ring and grabbed his apple. He took a bite of it and dropped it as Christian started getting back up. Carlito spit the apple and Christian pulled the ref in the way. The ref started wiping the apple from his face and Christian knocked him out from behind. Carlito and Christian went back at eachother. Christian nailed Carlito in the gut and delivered the Unprettier. With the ref still out, he slid out of the ring and grabbed two chairs. He tossed them into the ring and got back into it. He placed one chair on the mat, folded up, and put Carlito's head on top of it. He grabbed the other chair and lifted it over his head. He slammed it down and Carlito moved out of the way just in time as the two chairs hit eachother. Christian dropped the chair he was holding and helds his wrists. Carlito got back up and grabbed Christian, delivering the Cool Factor onto the chairs. He shoved the chairs out of the ring and the ref started coming two. Carlito covered Christian and the ref began his count. 1---------------2---------------And Christian kicked out right before the 3 count! Carlito picked Christian up and whipped him to the ropes. Christian came back and kicked Carlito and set him up for another Unprettier, but Carlito shoved Christian back into the ropes. He came running back and Carlito delivered a quick Cool Factor to get the win!]

A video played showing Eddie winning the Fatal Four Way on Smackdown! weeks ago, the 'Rap Battle' with Eddie stealing Cena's title, and Cena stealing Eddie's low rider.

----------

Normal Singles Match for the WWE Title Championship

John Cena© [vs] Eddie Guerrero

[Excellent match. Very excellent match from both men. Eddie came out with Cena's title and Cena came out with Eddie's low rider, spray painted with 'Cena' and 'Chain Gang' and such on it. The beginning of the match was sort of fast paced thanks to Eddie. Cena stuck with the usual punches and kicks and stuff in the beginning. He then applied an arm wrench on Eddie, who flipped to the mat, sprung back to his feet and tripped Cena. Eddie used his speed quite a bit in the beginning as well. He took Cena down with an early Three Amigo's Suplexes, but that didn't keep Cena down for long. He got back up as Eddie went to the top rope and got taken back down with a flying huricanrana. Eddie kept Cena down for a while and if he got back up Eddie would take him back down. Cena got to stay up after reversing another Three Amigo's into a snap suplex of his own. Eddie started getting up and Cena ran to the ropes and nailed the Throwback on him. He went for the cover and got an early 2 count. He picked Eddie back up and whipped him to the ropes. Eddie came running back and Cena nailed a dropkick to him. He got up and slammed his fists together in the air, signaling for the F-U. He picked Eddie up and ducked a clothesline and used the momentum to pick Eddie over his shoulders. There was too much momentum, though, because Cena stumbled to the side and Eddie grabbed the top rope. Cena then just F-U'd Eddie over and to the outside.

After they got back into the ring and more minutes of back and forth brawling, Eddie got back in control and sent the champ to the corner. He walked over and grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the corner. He ran up the corner, bounced on the top rope and delivered a head scissors take down. Eddie went out onto the outside apron and nailed a slingshot senton to Cena and followed up with a pinfall, only to get a late 2 count. He picked Cena up and kicked him in the gut a few times before whipping him to the ropes. Cena came running back and went for another huricanrana, but Cena reversed it into a sitdown powerbomb. After the ref began counting them down, Cena got to his feet and ran to the ropes. He stopped as he got to Eddie, brushed his shoulder not once, not twice, but THREE times, and then nailed the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena signaled for the F-U one more time and picked Eddie up. He got Eddie onto his shoulders, but Latino Heat got out of the F-U again (sort of) and hit a swinging ddt. Eddie grabbed his ankle and started screaming and the ref checked on him. Eddie tried sneaking a pair of brass knuckles out of his boot but the ref caught him and took them away. Eddie got back up, feeling fine, and Cena started crawling to the corner. Eddie argued with the ref as Cena grabbed his chain and wrapped it around his fist. He got back up and Eddie let the ref get rid of the knuckles, only to pull another pair from his tights. Both Eddie and Cena turned around and nailed eachother in the head with their foreign objects. The ref turned around and saw both men, bleeding, down with the knuckles and chain around their fists. The ref didnt make a call for the bell since he didnt know who hit who or if one was lying or not. He just started counting to 10 and when he got to 8, Cena rolled over and barely draped his arm on Eddie. The ref started counting, and Eddie kicked out right as the refs hand was coming down for the 3 count. Cena got up with the blood running down his face. He picked Eddie up, who nailed a quick suplex. Eddie wiped blood from his eyes and climbed to the top. He jumped for the Frog Splash, but Cena moved just in time. Cena used the ropes to help himself up and he picked Eddie up as well. He got him onto his shoulders one more time, and finally nailed the F-U succesfully. He fell right on top of Eddie and the ref counted to 3!]

After Show Notes

*Very displeased with the Christian/Carlito match. It was very odd that that match got such a low rating even though both wrestlers styles are similar. Perhaps the fans didnt like the fact that Carlito was facing Christian or that Carlito won the match, or maybe it was just the random match that gets the low rating. Makes me wonder if the title match at SummerSlam will be any good now.

*Very glad that the segmant with the 20 guests is tied to be the highest rated segmant on the PPV. The reason people like Hogan, Sting and Nash/Hall weren't on the PPV will be revealed later.

*Overall, very glad how the PPV went. Had the Christian and Carlito match been a couple percentages higher, The Great American Bash may have tied or even beat the rating of WWE RAW's Vengeance.

*If you disagree with the way some of the matches went or something, then ok. Let me know. The reason will most likely be to continue a fued or something. Also, this is how I will do all PPV matches. a Beginning and End type of thing, unless it is a gimmick match like HIAC or something, then I will most likely have a Beginning, Middle, and End type thing. It took a while, but I finally got the show done. the End of the Month post will be up later.

BattlArts Dates & Workers

Eric Gracie and Masahiro Indohara will be touring BattlArts the following dates-August 26th-28th 2005, November 6th-10th 2005, January 22nd-23rd 2006, and April 27th-30th 2006.

*CZW have gotten Raven and Kenta Kobashi to agree to an open contracted deal. They also have another new show debuting this coming Friday called "CZW Friday". Yes, they have great knowledge at coming up with television names. This show will also be on MTV and will also be airing at Midnight.

*Juventud Guerrera has been in talks with ROH about working with them as well as WWE, but WWE has offered Juvi a contract that he didn't turn down. Juvi has signed a written deal for two years with a $90,000 pay a month. WWE doesn't want Juvi to have to work for other promotions because they have plans with him and it has nothing to do with WWE hating ROH or anything. Both promotions are on good terms with eachother still.

*TNA have signed Bryan Danielson to an open deal and Frank Shamrock to a written deal. TNA was in talks with KEN Shamrock, but he didn't want to, as said by him, "waste his time with a company as bad as TNA is doing.". TNA have also released Cassidy Riley, Scott D'Amore, and Don Harris to afford those two signings.

*Psychosis, Seven, Jim Cornette, and Daniel Puder have gone to WWE management to talk about their stay in OVW. Psychosis and Cornette have talked to WWE about this for a second time already and WWE have told them that they have plans for both but they just need to move things out of the way. WWE told Seven that he may be given a run with Taker and/or Kane down the line, either siding with one to go against the other or to just fued with one. There are no current plans for Puder.

*Vince McMahon has returned from an arm injury he recieved. He was working out at a gym in about the second week of July and he worked a little too hard. His arm isn't 100% better, but it is getting there and Vince can now actually put stress and such on it.

*Many people thought that wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall as The Outsiders/nWo, and Sting would be at the GAB last night as one of the twenty guests. The reasons they weren't is because Hogan was not asked to because he would have overshadowed Ric Flair being there, something the WWE didn't want to happen, Nash and Hall weren't allowed to by TNA, and Sting refused to make that one appearance since if he ever agreed to going to WWE then he would want a debut that was more hyped. He also said he didn't want to be a part of WWE's version of The Great American Bash.

*Bret Hart, Mil Mascaras, and Jimmy Ocean have told wrestling sites and radio shows that they would be retiring at the end of August. Bret has said that if he can get in really good terms with Vince and WWE that he would come out of retirement to make one or a few appearances.

*Rumours have been floating around that Triple H would be retiring at the end of August to settle down with Stephanie with power still and to just stay behind the scenes of the WWE. These rumours are FALSE. Triple H told a radio show that he is starting to get to the age where a lot of wrestlers want to retire after being asked if he is planning on doing so, which is probably how the rumour got started. Hunter will continue to wrestle and will most likely retire a long time down the line.

*The National Wrestling Alliance have opened up a new chain in their legacy this week. The new promotion is called 'NWA Old School Rulz'. It is unknown whether they will actually stay with the old school type feel and hire old school type wrestlers or if they just picked a random name for the promotion.

*Garrison Cade has been sent down to OVW since WWE have nothing for him to do at the moment. They also want him to work on his wrestling skills a bit more and maybe get a new look so they can come up with a new gimmick for him.

*The Undertaker, Lita, Ivory, Val Venis, Eddie Guerrero, Miss Jackie, Kenzo Suzuki, Chris Masters, Johnny Nitro, Marty Wright, and Johnny Jeter have all signed new contracts this month as their old ones were coming to an end. Taker has signed a 3 year contract for $210,000 with the Creative Control Clause still intact, Lita has signed a 2 year contract for $75,000, Ivory has signed a 1 year contract for $50,000, Val Venis has signed a 3 year contract for $70,000, Eddie Guerrero has signed a 3 year contract for $95,000, Miss Jackie has signed a 1 year contract for $25,000, Kenzo Suzuki has signed a 2 year contract for $30,000, Chris Masters has signed a 3 year contract for $20,000, Johnny Nitro has signed a 3 year contract for $35,000, Marty Wright has signed a 1 year contract for $15,000, and Johnny Jeter has signed a 2 year contract for $25,000..

*WWE would like to wish Triple H (37), Bubba Ray Dudley (35), The Hurricane (32), Scotty 2 Hotty (36), Al Snow (42), Torrie Wilson (30), Shannon Moore (26), Johnny Swinger (30), Joey Mercury (25), Shelton Benjamin (30), Dean Jablonski (27), Derrick Neikirk (27), Shawn Michaels (40), Kenzo Suzuki (31), and Tyson Tomko (30) a very Happy Birthday.

WWE RAW Results

[The fans are forced to cover their ears as the opening pyros for RAW go off, and the camera goes around the arena. It finally comes to rest at the announce booth, where one man is sitting with his hair slicked back, and the other is wearing a large cowboy hat.]

JR: "This is Jim Ross, welcoming you all to Monday Night RAW!"

King: "What...no introduction JR? I'm just as big a part of this show as you are!"

JR: "Oh...be quiet. Sitting next to me ladies and gentlemen, is Jerry 'The King' Lawler. I'm sure he'll want to tell you all about tonight's show."

King: "Not really JR, but I will. We've got Rhyno and Randy Orton tonight folks, and they're going to be in a hardcore match!"

JR: "That should definately be a slobber knocker King, but right now we're going to see Kurt Angle going up against Steven Richards!"

-----

Singles Match:

Kurt Angle vs Stevie Richards

Pretty good match here, Richards got in just enough offense to make him look credible. Angle started taking out his frustrations by just pounding on Richards, but he appeared to get bored with that. Richards escaped a submission, and Angle chased him around the ring for a little bit in a funny moment. Angle eventually caught him, and began demolishing Richards on the mat. He caught Richards in several submission moves, but Richards got to the ropes each time. Richards went for a Stevie Kick at the end, but Angle caught his foot, and locked in the Ankle Lock. It didn't take too long for "Stevie Night Heat" to tap out to the painful submission hold to which injured Booker T.

-----

Destruction of a Legacy

[Kurt Angle gets up, throws Richards out of the ring, and grabs a microphone.]

Angle: "Shawn Michaels...I have nothing but respect for your wrestling ability. I mean, you're a grand-slam champion! At one point in your career, you had held all the titles available to you! You've stole the show WrestleMania more than once, even if you weren't in the main event. And that includes our match at WrestleMania. But that's kind-of my point, Shawn. You claim that every year at WrestleMania, you go out and put on the absolute best performance you can muster. And it wasn't enough to beat me. No, at WrestleMania 21, I made you tap-out! So my point is, Shawn, if you couldn't beat me at WrestleMania...what the hell makes you think you can beat me now? What are you gonna do, Shawn? Dress up as a mailman again? Try and trick me? You aren't going to catch me with that superkick Shawn...look at what happened to Stevie tonight! At SummerSlam, I will destroy your legacy!"

[shawn Michaels' music suddenly hits, and he makes his way out to a big pop. He already has a microphone in hand. He's wearing a suit.]

Michaels: "Woah woah woah...hold on their, Kurtis. I see that you've got some questions, and well....well I've got some answers. [pop.] First off, I just want to let you know that what happened last week was just a friendly joke. You see, they needed somebody to deliver this package to you, so I kindly volunteered. It wasn't until you started bashing me, just like you are this week, that the joke became something more. [laughs.] But you want to know why I think I can beat you at SummerSlam? Well...there's one reason. I'm determined, Kurt. I'm excited. Because for the first time in a long, long time...HBK Shawn Michaels has found a man that gives him trouble. He has found a man that is just as good in the ring as he is. And that excites me. But at the same time...it makes me want to whoop your *** even more!"

[The crowd pops, as Angle smirks.]

Angle: "I see you don't have your gear on Shawn, but uh....how about next week? How about next week, you show all these fans exactly what you can do when you're motivated?"

Michaels: "You know Kurt, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. But you see, the problem is....who in their right mind is going to want to face the Showstoppa? Who is going to want to face the Heart-Break-Kid? Who-"

[Angle cuts him off suddenly.]

Angle: "Oh....I believe I know of somebody who I can get, Shawn. It'll take a few phone calls on my part, but I'm sure that I can find somebody who would love to kick your ***. So how about it...next week...Shawn Michaels versus a mystery opponent?"

[Michaels looks at the camera, looking thoughtful, then smiles.]

Michaels: "You're on, Kurt."

[Angle has an evil grin on his face, as Michaels poses for the fans and the show cuts to a commercial break.]

Edge Screwed Lit..er...Edge

[Edge is walking backstage with Lita, when suddenly, Chris Jericho appears seemingly out of nowhere and begins brawling with him. The two exchange blows, while Lita screams. Security rushes to the scene, and tries to hold the two apart. They break away, and begin brawling again, but security finally stops them. They begin shouting at eachother.]

Edge: "What the hell Jericho!? What the hell are you doing? You don't **** with Edge!"

Jericho: "I do whatever I please, assclown! Afterall, nothing stopped you from screwing your friend's girl!"

[Edge lunges at Jericho, but security pulls them back, and the show cuts to a commercial.]

-----

World Heavyweight Title:

Batista© vs Justin Credible

Decent brawl, though it was fairly one-sided. Credible did get in some offense, but he was mainly there as a punching bag for Batista. He took a good deal of punishment, though. Batista threw him into the ropes at one point, and hit a STIFF-looking clothesline on Credible. Credible tried to fight back by going for a superplex off of the top-rope later, but Batista just shoved him off. After a bit, Credible ran into the ropes, trying to clothesline Batista, but Batista didn't fall down. Credible went for it again, and Batista caught him with a huge Spinebuster. He then picked up Credible, and hit not one...but two Batista Bombs before he pinned him for the victory. He celebrated after the match.

-----

Signed for Next Week...

[Edge is shown backstage, in Eric Bischoff's office. He appears to have been released by security.]

Edge: "I don't care Eric, I'm sick of this s**t! Jericho screwed me out of a World Title match at SummerSlam, so I just repayed the favor last week. But this week...this week he jumps me backstage! This is ridiculous! I don't deserve this Eric, and you know it. That's why I want a match next week...against Chris Jericho!"

[bischoff looks at Edge for a moment, then smiles.]

Bischoff: "You know Edge...that's an idea I actually like. Seeing two superstars such as yourself and Chris Jericho in the main event...that'll draw some numbers. So alright...next week, LIVE on RAW, it's going to be Chris Jericho going one-on-one with Edge!"

[Edge smiles, and he walks out of the office, with Lita at his side.]

-----

WWE Intercontinental Title:

Muhammad Hassan© vs Mark Jindrak

Not too bad of a match here, everything actually flowed rather well. Considering the age of these two guys, people weren't expecting much, but they got a good match. Jindrak put up a pretty good fight against Hassan, and for a few moments after he hit the Mark of Excellence, people thought he might win the Title in what would've been a huge upset. Daivari got involved though, distracting the referee. This allowed Hassan to hit a low-blow, and turn the tide of the match. After hitting the Modified STO, Hassan locked in the Camel Clutch, and Jindrak tapped out. Hassan kept the hold locked in, until Chris Benoit ran down, and Hassan (and Daivari) fled. Benoit helped Jindrak up as the show cut to a commercial.

-----

The Reunion

[Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin walk out to the ring when we come back from the commercial break. They grab a microphone each.]

Haas: "Last week....and the week before....the World's Greatest Tag Team has been humiliated. We have been ambushed not once...but twice. Both times by Triple H and Ric Flair. Now Shelton and I....we respect these men. They are two of the most successful men in professional wrestling history. But they have no class...they have no honor. They survive by cheating to defeat their opponents. The reason that they won half of their titles was not because they fairly beat the man who held it last, but because they cheated, had the held of allies....or a combination of the two."

[Haas is suddenly cut off by Ric Flair's music, as he struts out with Triple H.]

Flair: "No class? You think we don't have class? Look at the suits we're wearin'! Look at the ladies we've got in the back! You say we don't have class? We ARE the definition of classy! Between us, we hold what over twenty-five World Titles! That's more than twice the amount that Hogan won, it's more than the Rock, Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Sting, Lex Luger, Ricky Steamboat, Randy Savage....none of them come close to us! We are greatness!"

Triple H: "He's right, you know. Yeah, Charlie...Shelton...you're right too. We do cheat to win. But you see, that's why you two are still considered rookies. You haven't figured out yet that the other guy....he's not always going to play nice! Sometimes, you've got to do whatever you can to beat him. And if there's a little bit of 'cheating' involved...so be it. It's a hard sport, kid. You've got to make the choice sometimes between doing what is right, and doing what is best for you. You'll learn it soon enough."

[Triple H turns to walk away, but Haas speaks up.]

Haas: "So....two men of your class...of your 'greatness'....surely you wouldn't mind wrestling some punks, would ya?"

Benjamin: "Lemme put this in simple terms for you ol' chaps...what Charlie here is proposin'....is that LIVE on Pay Per View, Sunday, August 28th....the World's Greatest Tag Team comes together once again, to battle with Triple H and Ric Flair!"

[Triple H and Flair look at eachother, shrug their shoulders, and grin.]

Flair: "We'd be more than happy to step in the ring with you two kids at SummerSlam, and teach you two what professional wrestlin' is all about! You haven't seen nothin' until you step in the ring with Triple H....and the Nature Boy! You two don't know what you're gettin' yourselves into! Come SummerSlam, your future isn't going to be lookin' too bright! WOOOOO!"

[Flair and Triple H slowly turn and walk backstage, as the crowd pops for the announcement.]

Hardcore Match:

Randy Orton vs Rhyno

Very entertaining, wild brawl from these two guys. Rhyno looked to be just as good as, if not better than he was before. And Orton looked pretty good as well, and he took some punishment here. Lots of weapons used, most of them from the cart Rhyno wheeled out to the ring. A stop sign, a chair, a kendo stick, a trashcan, and even a wrench were used. Both guys bled here At the end of the match, Orton had a table on the ropes, and he was threatening to RKO Rhyno through it. However, Batista's music suddenly hit, and Orton was momentarily distracted. Batista came out on the ramp, World Title on his shoulder, and just told Orton to turn around. When Orton did, he was met with a Gore through the table! Rhyno covered, and picked up the win to a big pop! He celebrated in the ring after the match.

-----

JR: "Bah gawd....Rhyno has just pinned Randy Orton! And it looks as though the 'Legend Killer' may have been broken in half!"

[RAW ends with a picture of a bloody Randy Orton laying in the wreckage of a broken table.]

WWE Smackdown! Results for August 4th

Taped from Bridgeport, Connecticut (10,029 in Attendance)

[We are shown clips from The Great American Bash this past Sunday. The video hightlights the matches and the 20 special guests and ends with Taker trapping Kane in a blaze of fire. The Smackdown! video rolls to the music and the pyros go off as we are taken right to our announce team in the greatest state in the nation!]

COLE-Welcome folks to the Smackdown! right after the GREATEST Great American Bash!

TAZZ-No doubt, Cole. Last Sunday was one helluva rocket busta'!

COLE-Many great things happened only four days ago. New Cruiserweight and United States Champions were crowned, The Bashams remain Cabinet members, and John Cena retained his WWE Championship against Eddie Guerrero!

TAZZ-You're forgettin' one thing Cole. JBL defeating Kane and then his own brothah locking him inside that trailer that was set on fire from the inside.

COLE-I can't believe that that happened, Tazz. Like I said on Sunday, I wanted Kane to be given what he deserved after what he did to me, but what The Undertaker did was too much. But tonight we will hear from The Phenom himself to see why he did what he did and we will also hear about Kane's condition. And speaking of which.

[Mick Foley starts making his way out to the ring in smiles as always. He gets into the ring and grabs a mic.]

FOLEY-First of all, I would like to say welcome to Smackdown! from BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT [Cheap Pop]! Last Sunday was an emotional night. It was a fighting night. But most of all...It was a shameful night. Shameful because The Undertaker took his own brother, beat him senseless from ringside all the way to the back, and put him into a blazing inferno. Smackdown! has now lost two good stars. Kane has gone too far by beating Michael Cole up, but not even he deserved what Undertaker did. And of course, The Undertaker will be punished. I have been thinking about a punishment that would suit him well...At first I thought of not allowing him to be on Smackdown! for a few weeks, but I know what the fans want. Then I thought of not allowing him appear at SummerSlam, and again I can't do that. I finally came to a decision. The way that The Undertaker will be punished is...he won't. The reason being, is because The Undertaker didn't do anything last Sunday. After he put Kane in that trailer, it took me and some firemen a while to get to it and open it up. Inside everything was burnt...but there was nobody inside of it. It seems as though Kane has took up magic as a hobby because he wasn't inside the trailer. I don't know where he is and nobody does. But I warn every Smackdown! official, wrestler, diva and even fan, and especially The Undertaker...Watch your backs because I know Kane...I have fought him...And I know what he is capable of when his temper gets the better of him.

[Foley drops his mic and exits the ring. He starts walking up the aisle and right when he gets near the stage, fire explodes from it. As it does, the titantron shows words bursting into flames-"The Fire Is Unleashed Once Again"

[The camera cuts to the back where we see Josh Matthews standing by with Eddie Guerrero.]

MATTHEWS-I'm standing next to Eddie Guerrero, the man that lost to John Cena just a few days ago. And Eddie, we all want-

EDDIE-You know essa, I know I lost to that trash called John Cena. And I know that I lost my chance to become what I deserve to be. I even know that one of my low riders is now ruined thanks to the person that these idiots cheer for. But you what essa? To quote someone from RAW...It wasn't my fault, vato. I didn't lose that match last Sunday. I didn't make one of my low riders get ruined. I didn't do any of that. There is one person who is responsible for it...He is one of my former friends. And his name is Rey Mysterio. He used to be a part of my familia. But he turned his back on me and only started caring about himself. He is the reason why I lost. I was too busy thinking about all the crap he put me through. And I now know that there is only one way to stop these problems. And that is to do what I have to do with our United States Champion. I will do whatever it takes to make sure Rey Mysterio doesn't cost me any more bad luck or any more losses in my career. And you and everyone else will find out what I plan on doing to him next week! Do you have any more questions, gatoasno?

MATTHEWS-Um...Well, I don't think it is really fair to put the blame of ALL of your bad lucks and losses soley on Rey Mysterio. He hasn't done anything to you. I'm sure that you can admit you are being a little paranoid and some things that go wrong in your life are your own fault.

EDDIE-You're just like all of these other morons, essa. You take a look at Rey Mysterio and you see some perfect angel who can do know wrong. Who is loved by everyone and loves everyone. And you take a look at me and you see a criminal...You see someone who hates everyone and is hated by everyone. You don't think I have feelings? I have feelings, vato! Nobody seems to care, though. They think they can boo me and call me a cheater and a lier and a thief and that it doesn't effect me. But it does. My own cabritos don't even believe anything I say! My wife thinks every present I buy her is stolen! And cops think I cheat on drug tests! Why? Because of Rey Mysterio! Next week I will show you all what Eddie Guerrero will do to make sure Rey is no longer a problem!

Normal Singles Re-Match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Chavo Guerrero© [vs] Paul London

[Just as good a match from Sunday. Both got the crowd into it very quickly and kept them into it. London was allowed to start the match off with the upper hand and soon both pretty much had a level hand. London was whipped to the ropes at the end and he jumped off them for a spinning crossbody, but Chavo rolled right through. He got back to his feet and locked in the Low Rider submission. London tried crawling to the ropes, but Chavo kept him from doing so. London was soon forced to tap out and Chavo retained his title.]

[We cut to the back into Foley's office where we see The Dudleyz yelling.]

BUBBA-Mick, you saw what happened to me. You saw that I got screwed outta that match! It was me versus Nitro, not me versus MNM in a tables match. As a formah ECW wrestluh, you have to be on my side here.

D-VON-Oh testify! Me and Bubba, we want some retribution against that bitch and those punks! We deserve it and we deserve a shot at those damn titles!

FOLEY-Calm down, guys. As a former ECW star, I am on your side. MNM did beat you, though. But they didn't follow the rules of the match. I'm not going to give the two of you a match for the Tag Team titles right away because with me, you have to earn respect and earn matches. You two will get some retribution on MNM when the two of you team up against them...at SummerSlam!

[The Dudleyz shake hands with Foley and open his door. As they do, Paul Heyman is standing there smiling! He cuts between Bubba and D-Von and walks into Foley's office. The Dudleyz stare for a moment and then walk away as we head to another break.]

[As we are brought back from the break and to the ring, some original music begins playing and Paul Heyman himself walks out! He gets some boo's, some cheer's, and some 'E-C-Dub!' chants. He finally gets into the ring and grabs a mic.]

HEYMAN-It's been a while since Paul Heyman has been on Smackdown! and you know what? It is still a piece of ****! And so are the towns it visits! But I can talk and talk about everything wrong with this brand all night and for the rest of my life. You may all recall me making an appearance several weeks ago when I walked into Mick Foley's office, much like minutes ago. That was to talk with your General Manager about a contract. Not for me. For my client. He hasn't been seen on Smackdown! for a while and it is about time he comes back to make an impact! And there is only one place to do that, and that is at SummerSlam! But since the new GM thinks differently that I did, my client won't be taking part in a match to make an impact. He should be in the main event facing John Cena for the WWE Championship that he deserves, but he isn't. That won't stop us, though, because we don't need a match to make an impact. At SummerSlam, my client will walk into the arena. He will make his impact. And he will become the biggest thing on Smackdown!! The atmosphere here will soon change. It will become bigger. It will become stronger. And it will become better after me and my client reign supreme! So take a good look at me, because the next time you will ever see me is when I am at ringside, watching my client impact Smackdown! and the WWE!

[We return from the break again with the ring set up with red, white and blue ribbons around the skirt and red carpet in the ring. JBL's music begins to play and his limo returns to Smackdown!. It stops right before the ring and The Cabinet get out of it and into the ring. JBL then gets a mic.]

JBL-Tonight, we celebrate! Not only did I defeat Kane, the man who everyone is afraid of, last Sunday...That is about it. Orlando Jordan lost his United States Championship to that midget and I was upset about it, but he proved to be loyal when he helped me beat Kane. And The Bashams did win their match, but they didn't finish the job. They should have made sure that Luther Reigns and Matt Morgan couldn't even be in a wheel chair without feeling any pain. I'm not surpised that they dissapointed me because that is all they do! They can't even do one simple task without screwing it up somehow. I ask them to book me first class seats on an airplane, and they come back and tell me that only coach is available. I tell them to get me a new limo just like my old one, and they get me one that doesn't even have champagne in the back. You two are just lucky that I am able to forget those things and allow you to even be in this very ring with me.

[Danny springs forward and snatches the mic away.]

DANNY-You are never pleased with what we do. No matter what we do you always find something to complain about. Ever since day one you have been giving us a hard time while he kissed your ***! Is that why you didn't give us any respect or treat us like him? Because we didn't kiss your ***? Well we're sorry that we don't do that as good as him but we aren't sorry for saying this.[Handing Doug The Mic]

DOUG-WE QUIT! We are sick of this bull that you put us through! We won our match to prove a point. We are better than you think and now that we are no longer with your stupid Cabinet, who are you going to get to replace us? The losers we beat? Before you tell everyone who will replace us, think about this.

[The Bashams lunge forward and start brawling with JBL and Orlando. The Bashams naturally start get beaten down by the other two until officials come running out and seperate the four. They are able to get The Bashams and JBL out of the ring but allow Orlando to stay in it for his match. The officials finally get the other three in the back as Rey Mysterio makes his entrance]

Normal Singles Re-Match for the WWE United States Championship

Rey Mysterio© [vs] Orlando Jordan

[An even better performance than the one at The Bash. Mysterio pulled out more spectacular moves and Orlando...Well, he sold them even better! Orlando soon lost it after not being able to pin Mysterio and he went and got the US title belt. He got back into the ring and went to slam it into his head, but Mysterio ducked. Orlando turned back around and got nailed with a spinning wheel kick. Mysterio went to the outside apron as Orlando started getting back up. He jumped up and went for the West Coast Pop, but Jordano reversed it into a facebuster. The Bashams came running out with officials not too close behind. They slid into the ring and started delivering kicks to Jordan. The ref called for the bell as Danny and Doug hit the Ball & Gag on Jordan. The officials got into the ring and pulled The Bashams from it.[

[As we return, the camera takes us to a dimly lit area in the back. A shadow then appears on the wall. The camera shifts to the right a little to reveal The Undertaker..]

UNDERTAKER-People don't seem to understand the things I do...They didn't understand when I went after Hulk Hogan all those years ago...They didn't understand when helped Vince McMahon with The Corporate Ministry...They didn't understand when I attacked Jim Ross and made him join Vince McMahon's club...And now they don't understand why I put my brother in that flaming trailer...Those are the people who are blinded...Those who have forgotten the true Kane, much like Kane himself did...That is why I tried burning my brother alive again...Not to help JBL...Because JBL will soon be the next person I take care of...for what he put Kane through....But to show him that I would do anything to get him back...To bring out the true monster within...But it looks like he has some tricks up his sleeves...Because he wasn't in the trailer when help came for him...Either that...Or he is now part of the many ashes of every other wrestler I have defeated...Kane...If you are out there somewhere...Don't think mind games will work on me as they did you last year...I am not afraid of you nor what you are capable of...I have battled you to the fires of hell before and I will do it again...I will make sure that you don't care about anyone or anything...And I will make sure that you let your true self out again instead of bottling him up inside of you...Don't hide...Come out and show yourself if you aren't afraid to...Because the longer you hide in the shadows...The longer it will be until you finally rest...in...piece....

Normal Singles Match

Carlito Caribbean Cool [vs] Eugene Dinsmore

[Before the match began, John Cena came out and joined Cole and Tazz on commentary. The match was pretty alright, with Eugene getting some laughs from the crowd and pissing Carlito off easily. Carlito went for the Cool Factor a little early, which Eugene escaped from and rolled up into a ball after. Carlito tried breaking Eugene from the ball position, but Eugene started rolling around the ring. Carlito gave up and went for his apple but as he turned around he got kicked in the gut by Eugene. He went for a Stunner, but Carlito shoved him into the ropes. Eugene came running back and got kicked in the gut again, followed by Carlito hitting a Swinging Neckbreaker. He slid out of the ring, with his apple in hand, and went over to Cena. Cena got up and the two stared at eachother. Cena then took his hand and waved it in front of his face. Cena looked down at Cole, who was talking to him, and when he looked back at Carlito he got apple spit in his face. CCC got back into the ring and Cena dropped his head set and was about to get in, but Christian came out of nowhere and nailed Cena from behind. Carlito and Eugene kept going at it until Eugene went for a Rock Bottom. Carlito reversed it into a Cool Factor for the win and he left the ring as Christian continued laying in to Cena.]

Tornado Handicapped Match

The System [vs] The Big Show

[The Big Show had some trouble trying to focus on one person at a time, but he easily solved that problem. Kazarian and Swinger ran at Show when the bell rang and Show clothesline them both. He then started walking towards Dean, who started running away. Show cornered him and was about to grab him, but Kazarian and Swinger attacked Show from behind. The match basically went on like that, with Show trying to keep two of the men down and going after one. Near the end, Big Show had Kazarian and Swinger by the throats and Dean chop blocked him from behind. Show fell to a knee and Kazarian and Swinger got free from his grip. Both men ran to the ropes and hit a dropkick to Show's face as they came back, knocking him to his back. Kazarian went to the gym bag in the corner and did something as the camera cut to Dean, now on the outside apron. He catapulted himself with the rope and nailed a legdrop to Show. Kazarian came over with his hand balled into a fist and covered Show, with his hand now over Shows face. Dean and Swinger got on top to add more weight and they actually pinned The Showster! After the match all three got up and a cloth was visible on Big Show's face before Kazarian snatched it away and hid it.]

WWE RAW Results

08.08.05

[The pyros go off after the opening video, and after going around the arena a bit, the camera goes to the announce booth, where Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are sitting in comfy looking chairs.]

JR: "Hello wrestling fans, and welcome to Monday Night RAW! I'm Jim Ross, he's Jerry 'The King' Lawler, and we're happy to call the action for you here tonight."

King: "Actually, that's more of your job JR, I'm just here to, you know, make this entertaining!"

JR: "Well you are entertaining alright....if you talk to the right people."

King: "What's that supposed to mean, JR? Are you saying you don't find me funny?"

JR: "Oh, you're funny alright King...but it's time to start the show!"

-----

"So Let Me Introduce to You..."

[Kurt Angle's music plays, and he makes his way down to the ring to boos and chants of "You Suck!" He is smiling, and he grabs a microphone as he enters.]

Angle: "Last week...I made a challenge. A challenge to Shawn Michaels. Yes, 'The Heartbreak Kid.' The very man I am going to be wrestling at SummerSlam. He told me that I could pick anybody in the entire world for him to wrestle...and that he'd beat them. Now, Michaels is confident...but he does have good reason to be so. So I went through the list of possible candidates. I could've easily picked some hoss like Kevin Nash or Sid Vicious...hell, I could've called Vader! But that wasn't good enough. Because even though they'd put up a fight, HBK would fight them...and he'd win. So I looked at my list, at the very last name. And I laughed. Yes, I laughed! Because I knew I found somebody that HBK wouldn't want to fight. But before I introduce him....Shawn, get down here. I want to see the look on your face when I reveal your opponent!"

[HBK's music hits, and he makes his way down to a huge ovation. He gets in the ring, and stares at Angle, not saying a word.]

Angle: "Alright. Shawn, if there's one thing I know about you, it's that the only thing you love more than wrestling...is your family. So tonight, I have a little treat for you. Now, a lot of you in the stands might not know who this guy is by name, and you might not believe me at first...but once you see how he wrestles, and how he looks...you'll know it to be true. So ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce the man who Shawn Michaels will be wrestling tonight...the man he himself helped train....his COUSIN....Michael Shane!"

[some theme music hits (which is vaguely similar to HBK's) and Michael Shane indeed walks out on the ramp. The camera then shows Michaels, who just has his eyes closed, looking upset. Angle smirks before getting out of the ring, but he remains at ringside.]

-----

Singles Match:

Shawn Michaels vs Michael Shane

Pretty good match, that told an interesting story. Michael Shane wanted to prove himself to the fans and his cousin, and Michaels didn't really want to hurt him. Eventually Shane landed a stiff kick to Michaels's jaw, and Michaels just looked at his cousin. Then, as if to say "sorry, but you started it" he began going on the offensive. The two mat-wrestled for a little while, and it was clear that they were familiar with eachother's styles. In the end, Shane was down, and Michaels was in the corner, getting ready for some Sweet Chin Music. However, Kurt Angle suddenly struck Michaels from behind, and the ref rang the bell, giving Michaels a DQ victory. Angle and Shane then beat on Michaels, with Angle even allowing Shane to hit the "Sweet Shane Music" on HBK. They then left the ring together, with Angle laughing. The feud has become personal.

-----

The Rabid Wolverine

[Chris Benoit's music hits, and he makes his way down to the ring. He grabs a microphone.]

Benoit: "Muhammad Hassan! Muhammad...I'm a guy who likes to look at the good in people. But when I look at you, I don't see it! You're from Michigan, dammit! The country that you spend so much time bashing is your own! Hell, Muhammad...I'm not even from the United States, and I know that this is one hell of a place! [pop.] But you know what else makes me sick? You're a good wrestler, Muhammad. You've got potential to be great. But you can't win by yourself! Everytime I see you in a big one-on-one situation, you get your buddy Daivari to help you out! But at SummerSlam, you're going up against a former World Heavyweight Champion! And I can promise you Muhammad, at SummerSlam, I will make you tap!"

[Hassan's music suddenly hits, and Daivari runs out to the ring. He begins brawling with Benoit, until Hassan runs out. Benoit fights both of them off for a while, until Hassan hits Benoit with a low-blow. Benoit goes down, and Hassan locks in the Camel Clutch on Benoit, as Daivari slaps him in the face. Hassan then lets go of a barely concious Benoit, and grabs the mic.]

Hassan: "At SummerSlam? At SummerSlam, Benoit, you're going to see that you're wrong...just like the rest of them! I am STILL undefeated on RAW...and I'll be dammed if somebody like you beats me!"

[Hassan and Daivari leave the ring as the show cuts to a commercial.]

-----

Singles Match:

Tyson Tomko vs Shelton Benjamin

Typical match here, with Tomko playing the big man using his strength, and Shelton playing the smaller guy who uses his skills to best him. Tomko actually looked suprisingly....decent. He's not that bad anymore. Benjamin, as stated before, used all of his skills to his advantage. He didn't waste a ton of time with Tomko on the mat, as Tomko is just incompetent in that area, but he did use his athleticism to his advantage. He pulled off some great moves that would've made some of the better Cruiserweights ashamed. In the end, Benjamin caught Tomko with an impressive T-Bone Suplex for the win. He celebrated with Charlie Haas after the match.

-----

Bank on It!

[Edge is in the back, where he's being interviewed by Todd Grisham. His arm is around Lita.]

Grisham: "Edge, in just a short while you'll be facing Chris Jericho in the main event. What are your thoughts on the match?"

[Edge looks disgusted, and he grabs the microphone.]

Edge: "What are you....mental? I'm pissed off, Todd. I'm pissed off because after all these years of me working my *** off, putting my body on the line...I'm still getting screwed. I won King of the Ring, Todd! I am the master of the TLC match! I deserve the World Heavyweight Title! I'm above the Intercontinental Title, Todd! But when Chris Jericho screwed me out of the World Title, I had no problem entering myself into the battle royal and keeping him from getting what he wants! And tonight, I'm going to go out there, and I'm going to finish this! And then, after SummerSlam, I'll move onto the World Heavyweight Title....just like I deserve. Bank on it, Todd. Bank on it!"

[Todd looks flustered as Edge walks off.]

-----

Tag Team Match:

Justice League vs Triple H/Ric Flair

This was actually a good match, to be honest. These four men meshed suprisingly well...even if it was just a lengthened squash match. Hurricane just took a beating here, the fans definately didn't believe that he could match up to Triple H. He did get in some offense against Flair, but not much. Rosey...well, Rosey wasn't much better off. He lasted longer, but he took more punishment too. Near the end, it appeared as the Hunter and 'Naitch were just messing around with the League. Haas and Benjamin appeared on the ramp at the end, but Triple H just looked at them, and Pedigreed Rosey, pinning him for the win. The two teams had a stare-down after the match.

-----

A Warm-Up Match

[Haas and Benjamin are shown in the back, walking together. Eric Bischoff comes up to them.]

Bischoff: "I see that you two saw Triple H and Flair's little warm-up match. [nods.] Well you see, I'm a...caring General Manager, and since I gave those two a warm-up this week, I figured I'd give you two a warm-up next week! I mean...it's been over a year, you two haven't teamed in a while. So how about next week, the...self-proclaimed World's Greatest Tag Team goes up against...the Hearthobs?"

[Haas and Benjamin say nothing, only look at eachother, nod their heads, and walk away.]

-----

The Contract Signing

[When RAW is back, Eric Bischoff is already standing near a table in the ring. He introduces Randy Orton and Batista, who come out to their theme music. They glare at eachother before sitting down.]

Bischoff: "Gentlemen, I've brought you here tonight for one purpose: to sign a contract finalizing your match at SummerSlam. Now, these things...they don't happen for every match. Most matches are just signed backstage. But every once and a while, you get a match that sticks out. A match that is...special. This is one of those matches. I mean, it's Batista....defending his World Heavyweight Title...against Randy Orton! The two men who were hand-picked for Evolution by Triple H and Ric Flair! Two men who have held the World Heavyweight Title! Two men....who are the future of this business! This is a big match, folks!"

[Orton nand Batista just continue staring at eachother. Orton snatches the microphone.]

Orton: "Batista...everybody knows that I was always the premier member of Evolution. I mean...who was it that held the Intercontinental Title for the best reign in a decade? Who was it that killed the legends of Shawn Michaels and Sgt. Slaughter? Who was it who beat Mick Foley at his own game? I did. Who beat Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Title first? I did. Who beat Ric Flair in a cage match? Me! I was World Heavyweight Champion, Batista. I was the future! And you...you took it all away from me! You're the one who dropped me on my back, and turned on me! You're the one who injured my shoulder and forced me off RAW this year!"

[batista grabs the microphone out of Orton's hand, and Orton glares at him.]

Batista: "And who's the one who got their *** kicked by Triple H, Randy? [pop.] He destroyed you, and I beat him not once...not twice...but three times! He's afraid of me, Randy! And you...you're afraid of him. I'll tell you what...yeah, I did turn on you. But it was only because I did what I had to do. And look where it got me, Randy? I was in the main event of WrestleMania! I've held this Title for four months now! And you think you can just...take it away from me? I don't think so, Orton. No...at SummerSlam, you're *** is mine!"

[batista puts the microphone on the table, takes out a pen, and signs the contract. Orton signs it as well, and the two face-off in the middle of the ring. They begin shouting at eachother, and Orton suddenly just kicks Batista in the nuts. He then hits Batista with a RKO through the table! He gets up, grinning, and poses on the turnbuckle as the camera shows Batista, down and out.]

Singles Match:

Edge vs Chris Jericho

Very good match, even if it felt as though they were holding back a little bit. There wasn't much mat-wrestling in this, but there was an awful lot of brawling. The two didn't take much time to rest in this, which was good, as it kept everybody entertained. Either man could've won the match on multiple occasions, including a nice spot where Jericho hit the Lionsault, and another time when Edge caught Jericho in the Edgecator. At the end of the match, Jericho had Edge locked in the Walls of Jericho. Lita got up on the apron, and Jericho went over to her. Lita distracted him, and when Jericho turned around, Edge caught him with a Spear...sending both of them through the ropes. The referee slowly counted to ten, and the match ended in a draw, because of double count-out. The two rose to their feet, and brawled up the aisle to end RAW.

WWE Smackdown! Results for August 11th

Taped from Columbus, Ohio (10,048 in Attendance)

[A clip of Eddie's interview mixed in with some of Eddie's losses from the past year and of the Rey vs Eddie matches are shown. The Smackdown! vignette rolls and we are then taken to the Columbus audience while we hear Christian's music begin playing as we open the night with The Peep Show. He walks down the ring to boo's and climbs through the ropes.]

CHRISTIAN-I'm going to get right to the point instead of making a long story about it. Why did I attack John Cena last week instead of the man who cheated to beat me at The Great American Bash? Because I respect Triple C for looking up to me so much that he had to use a chair to win! It makes me feel great knowing that the future of the WWE looks up to the the present of this company, and I mean me! One thing I don't like about this whole thing is that I, Captain Charisma, the most charismatic and talented guy on the Smackdown! roster, isn't even booked in a match for SummerSlam yet! My Peeps are outraged! i received hundreds of email's and letter's about how upset they are. And before I bring out my over-rated guest, I am going to read you a letter from one of my Peeps.

[Christian puts the mic down on a chair and grabs an envelope from his back pocket. He pulls a letter out and picks the mic back up.]

CHRISTIAN-Dear Christian...I am your biggest fan in the entire world. I watched you ever since you teamed with your cheating, lying, no talented brother who kept you in the shadows while he hogged the spot light from the real talent of that team all the way until now. And every time you were never given a chance to shine I got upset. You were always pushed to the side just because you were actually talented and everyone else was afraid you would become bigger than that piece of crap Hulk Hogan. When I heard that you were actually going to be in a match and get a chance to become the best WWE Champion ever and had it taken away from that uncool nobody, I was even more upset. I was hoping that you would be given a match against that white trash rapper-wannabe at SummerSlam since Carlito cheated, but that didn't happen either. But what is most dissapointing is that you aren't even booked in a match for SummerSlam yet. But don't worry, because me and everyone else I know are going to petition for you!-

[Before Christian can continue, John Cena's music hits and the champ walks out as the crowd erupts. He walks down the ramp with his fists in the air, making the "Word Life" symbol. He slides into the ring and grabs the other mic that is resting on the other chair.]

CENA-Yo..Yo, yo, yo! The champ is in the house! Yo Christian. You really think anyone wants to see you wrestle or likes you enough to send you mail? That's the biggest load of bull that ever set sail. They wouldn't want to see you even if you gave em a buck. You better check your ears cause they ain't cheering, they're sayin' Christian sucks! You can't still be cryin' just cause you lost last Sunday. Cry over something you haven't lost yet, and I'm talkin about your virginity! So you don't have a match for SummerSlam. Boo hoo. I'll do you a favor and still give ya an F-U!

[Cena drops his mic and quickly begins delivering punches to Captain Charisma. Christian starts battling back with some punches of his own, but Cena ducks one. Christian spins around and Cena lifts him over his shoulders. He holds them there for a second and stares at the crowd and finally delivers an F-U. Cena gets back up and grabs the letter Christian was reading. He looks at it, laughs and holds it up. The camera zooms in and shows nothing on one side. Cena turns it around and there's nothing on the other side either! Cena drops the letter and pounds his chest with his fists and lifts them up for the Word Life symbol as we head to the back.]

[The camera cuts to the back in a hallway where we see Torrie Wilson walking down it. Chavo pops out of a corridor and blocks Torrie's path.]

CHAVO-Hey, mamacita. I heard that Tajiri has been trying to get back together with you and I agree with you not going back to him after what he put you through. I'm also glad that you just happen to be free and have been saving yourself for me. And since I'm free and your free and I just happen to have this gold around my waist, let's get out of this crap town and go somewhere more private.

TORRIE-I don't mean to be rude, but you have to be kidding me. I didn't go back with Tajiri to save myself for you or anyone else. I didn't go back with him because of what he did to me. But after you and Carlito have been trying to get with me, going back with Tajiri is actually a good idea. So why don't you go get some action on the street if you want someone easy.

CHAVO-I like your feistiness, but it wasn't a question. You are going to leave here with me and we are going to go somewhere more private. And if you don't then you can bet that I will make you come.

[Chavo grabs Torrie by the wrist and starts dragging her down the hall. She tries struggling free and Chavo turns around to tell her to stop. He turns back around and see's Tajiri standing in their way. Chavo chuckles a little bit and goes to say something, but Tajiri spits mist in his eyes. Chavo lets go of Torrie and tries wiping his eyes as Tajiri and Torrie walk away.]

[We come back from the break and we are taken to a clip with the "Earlier Today" text at the bottom corner of the screen. The camera shows a crowd of people and gets past them to show Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro wearing their coats and plastic masks signing autographs.]

MELINA-Fifty dollars for an autograph! No pictures! We don't want you low lifes taking pictures and selling them on eBay to make a few bucks for any spam crap at the market!

[Mercury and Nitro continue signing autographs until Melina tells them that they will have to come back another time. When the group of people dissapears, Nitro and Mercury...Come out from an alley?]

NITRO-These people are sad. They waste their money on autographs. Not that it's a bad thing because who doesn't want our autographs!

MERCURY-I'm just glad we didn't have to put up with that crap. These hands are too good to sign my name for these bums. Thanks for doing this for us guys. We will send your money in the mail.

[The two men wearing the plastic masks take the masks off to reveal just Average Joes. The two go to shake MNM's hands, but they refuse. The two men then walk away.]

MELINA-That's if it doesn't get lost in the mail!

Normal Singles Match

Joey Mercury w/ Johnny Nitro & Melina Perez [vs] Paul London

[Nice match. The former Cruiser champ didn't seem to be too bothered about losing the title. Lots of back and forth action with London starting to gain momentum halfway into the match. He got sent into the corner and ran up it and backflipped off it, landing behind Mercury who ran to the corner. Mercury turned around and got hit with a dropkick, sending him backfirst into the corner. London kept most control the rest of the match and was going to finish it with the Shooting Star Press, but Melina distracted the ref and Nitro shoved London off the turnbuckle. Melina left the ref alone and Mercury school boyed London as he got up for the win. After the match London challenged the two to a tag team title match next week with a partner of his choosing and MNM accepted.]

[The camera cuts to the backstage area with Josh Matthews standnig next to the giant, The Big Show.]

MATTHEWS-I am standing next to the largest man on the Smackdown! roster and in the WWE itself, The Big Show. And Show, last week you lost a match against all three members of The System. What are your thoughts on that?

SHOW-What do you want from me, Josh? Do you want me to say I am going to go after those three guys until I beat the holy hell out of them? Because I'm not going to say that. I'm not going to go after those three any more. I tried and I failed. They beat me last week and good for them. But I'm not going to waste my time with them anymore. If they want more of me then they can come and get it. They can continue making fun of people like me or making fun of people who might be a tad bigger than them, but I don't care. I can move on to more important things now that I don't have to worry about them. I can go up against real opponents like JBL or The Undertaker or even Eddie Guerrero. I may not get what I want right away, but soon I will be back up top where I belong and I promise that if I'm not the WWE Champion or fighting for the WWE Championship by the end of next year, then I will leave Smackdown!.

Steve Lynous (Chilly Willy from OVW) [vs] Simon Dean w/ Frankie Kazarian & Johnny Swinger

[Simon and his System came out and told the crowd that he would be having Simon System Invitational's against anybody that thinks they are actually in good shape, and tonight Steve Lynous (Chilly Willy) came out for the first SSI. Swinger and Kazarian distracted Lynous before the bell rang, allowing Simon to attack him from behind. Simon kept the offense for a few minutes before Lynous came back. The two worked pretty good considering they were both a part of ECW. Lynous went for a Falcon Arrow, but Dean slipped out and behind him and delivered a Novacaine for the win.]

[The camera cuts to Foley's office where the GM is playing Battle Ship with Eugene. Orlando Jordan bursts into the room and begins yelling at Foley.]

JORDAN-You're supposed to be the General Manager of this brand! Why don't you manage your *** to make a rematch between Rey Mysterio and myself for my title?!? Last week wasn't fair because those damn Basham's interupted my match. So are you going to be a fair GM and give me my match or am I going to have to beat the match out of you?

FOLEY-You're right. Those damn Basham's DID interupt in your match last week and that isn't fair. I mean, it isn't like you ever interupted in any of JBL's matches, right? I wish I could give you another rematch, but your contract allows only one for that title and I already have Simon Dean going against Rey Mysterio at SummerSlam for the title after I did take away his chance at you. If you want another title shot, earn it by winning matches isntead of kissing ***. And if you still want to beat a match out of me, go ahead.

[Jordan looks as if he is about to raise a fist, but he just slams both his hands on Foley's desk and walks out of the room, slamming the door as he does.]

FOLEY-Okay, Eugene. Only a few more games until I get a call from your doctor.

EUGENE-Do I get more lollipops?!? I had a grape one and it was good and I even got a dinosaur band-aid!

FOLEY-Eugene, you didn't get any shots.

EUGENE-I know but I wanted it and the doctor said he would give me one if I was a good boy.

[Foley sighs and sits back down, continuing his game with Eugene.]

Akio [vs] Rey Mysterio

[Oh yeah. These two put on one great match. Would have been better if Akio was put on Smackdown! more than being stuck on Velocity, though. Nice, fast paced cruiserweight action right before the main event. What could be better? One of the best moments of the match was when Akio went for a Twisting Moonsault to Mysterio, who was standing, and Mysterio caught Akio on his shoulders. Akio used his momentum to land on his feet with Mysterio in a reverse headlock. He lifted him up and Mysterio somehow countered and sort of wrapped his legs around Akio's arms and rolled him backwards into a bridging pin with Akio breaking out at the 2 count. The finish came when Rey put Akio on the top turnbuckle and did a Stratusphere type move, but instead of connecting, Akio grabbed Mysterio and lifted him onto his shoulders. Akio adjusted himself so his feet were on the inside of the ring and Mysterio then punched him in the head, slipped off his shoulders and delivered a ddt. Mysterio went onto the apron and Dropped The Dime for the win. Right as he won, Eddie Guerrero's music aired.]

[Eddie came walking out instead of coming out in his low rider tonight. He walked down the apron with the most serious expression ever seen on him. He walked around the ring and grabbed a mic from Tony Chimel and finally slid into the ring. He started walking towards Mysterio, but he went over and picked Akio up. He kicked him a few times and then sent him shoulder first into the turnbuckle post. He then went over to Mysterio and began talking.]

EDDIE-What's up, essa? I finally got you alone without me ending up on my back and you screwing me over. I have tried anything and everything to show the fans that I am better than you. I have tried anything and everything to beat you. I have tried anything and everything to make me come out on top. Everything but one thing. And I don't know why I didn't think if this earlier, vato, but the point is that it FINALLY came to me. The one thing that will ensure that I won't be hated by these fans anymore and to make sure you aren't the one stealing the spotlight. And as much as I hate to do this, even to you, I have to.

[Eddie takes the mic away from his mouth and reachs into his tights. He pulls out something and then...drops to his knees? He opens his fist and a small, white flag drops out of.]

EDDIE-I give up, essa. I give up trying to beat you over and over. I used to be a WWE Champion last year and this year I can't even beat you. I'll never be able to beat you. That is why from now on I am no longer going to try to beat you. I am going to walk right behind you and watch everything you do and see why these fans love you so much. I am going to do everything you do to become what I was last year, essa. That's the only way that I will be able to get you off my mind twenty four/seven. Rey, I want you to be a part of my familia again. I want you to be my amigo again, vato. I can't stand it! I can't stand not being the best anymore. I need you. I need you to accept my apology. If you care about me or if you believe me, then forgive me.

[Eddie drops the mic and sort of bows down at Rey's feet. Mysterio looks down at Eddie, looks around the audience, then helps Eddie up. Rey hugs Eddie and the crowd cheers for both men.]

4 vs 4 Survival Match

The Basham Brothers, &, and & [vs] The Cabinet

[The Basham's partners' ended up being The Undertaker and John Cena. Danny and Jordan started the match off and brawled a lot. Lots of tags coming from The Cabinet's side, especially when Cena or Taker would be tagged in. Midway into the match Taker destroyed house when all of The Cabinet tried just ganging up on him. He big booted Reigns and Morgan, grabbed Jordan by the throat and tossed him outside of the ring, and delivered the Old School to JBL. A little later Cena and Jordan were in the ring together and Cena went for an F-U to him, but the rest of The Cabinet got into the ring again and stopped him. Taker and The Bashams got in and went after Reigns/Morgan and JBL. Reigns and Morgan disposed of The Bashams to the outside and attacked Taker from behind as he was going after their leader. Taker turned around and grabbed both by the throat. They kicked Taker in the gut and sent him between the ropes and went to the outside as well. The ref put his attention on the brawling outside and tried telling them to stop. Meanwhile, in the ring, Cena went back to Jordan. CCC came out and Cena delivered the Five Knuckle Shuffle to Jordan. He picked him up and lifted him onto his shoulders. At this point Carlito was on the apron and got Cena's attention. Cena started trash talking Carlito and ended up getting spit in the face with an apple again. Cena let go of Jordan and wiped it from his eyes. He turned around as he did and got nailed with a Clothesline From Hell from JBL. JBL tugged at the refs shirt and covered Cena for the pinfall. JBL and Jordan walked away from the ring as Taker continued attacking JBL's new Secretaries.]

COLE-And JBL isn't even going to help his new members! That's a good way to treat them, Bradshaw!

TAZZ-Well Cole, there was some things tonight that can make me forget about this moment. Like Eddie actually apologizing to Rey Mysterio!

COLE-I can't believe I witnessed that either. What will happen next week, though? Make sure to tune in folks. We are out of time tonight. For Tazz, goodnight.

WWE RAW Results

08.15.05

[After the opening videos play, RAW kicks off with a bang. Tons of pyros go off, and the crowd goes absolutely wild. The camera eventually focuses in on the announce booth.]

JR: "It's August the Fifteenth, and welcome to RAW! We are now just two weeks away from SummerSlam, one of the biggest events of the year! I'm Jim Ross, and the man next to me is Jerry 'The King' Lawler."

King: "We've got a huge main event for tonight, guys. Edge and Randy Orton will be teaming up to take on Batista and Chris Jericho!"

JR: "That is definately a big match, King, and I can't wait for it. It's almost as if SummerSlam is already here!"

King: "I wish it was, JR, I want to see Kurt Angle beat Shawn Michaels...again! Speaking of Kurt Angle..."

-----

Showdown at SummerSlam

[Kurt Angle's music hits, and he makes his way to the ring, pausing to pose on the entrance ramp. Chants of "You Suck!" fill his ears as he enters the ring, and gets a microphone from Lilian.]

Angle: "Shawn Michaels! I've got to applaud you, man...you stepped it up last week. I never thought that you'd be able to do it, Shawn. I didn't think you'd be able to wrestle, let alone defeat your younger cousin. He's got talent, and he's family. He was eager for the opportunity. But you almost had him beat. You stood, readying yourself for the Sweet Chin Music...ready to knock your cousin's head off of his body. So I hope you understand when I....when I stepped in. I took matters into my own hands. I only did what I had to do."

[The famous theme song of Shawn Michaels plays, and he makes his way down to the ring. He isn't smiling.]

Michaels: "What the hell are you talking about, Kurt? You did what you had to do? No...you didn't have to do that. You didn't have to bring my cousin to RAW, Kurt. You didn't have to make me wrestle him! You didn't have to attack me! What caused all of this, Kurt?"

Angle: "What caused all of this? If I remember correctly Shawn, you're the one that came out and attacked me! I beat you at WrestleMania 21, and I did it cleanly!"

Michaels: "If I remember correctly, Kurt, the reason I attacked you was because you had Booker T. in the ankle lock. You broke his ankle, Kurt, you had already felt the pop! But that didn't satisfy you, Kurt...did it? No, you wanted to end his career! I was going to challenge you after the match, you see. I was going to calmly as you for a rematch. But it wasn't that simple, and it definately isn't simple now. This is no longer a single feud, Kurt. This is a war!"

Angle: "And it's a war I'm going to win, Shawn! At SummerSlam, I'm going to show everybody in the world that I really am the greatest wrestler in WWE history! Screw you Shawn Michaels, screw the Icon. Screw the Showstopper. The Icon is me! People should be looking at me! But no, instead, I get no respect. The fans adore you, and all I get is a bunch of people telling me that I suck! That's bull****, Shawn. That's-"

[Angle is cut off suddenly, as Michaels superkicks him in the jaw. Angle goes down, rolls out of the ring, and crawls on his hands and knees up the ramp. He finally stands up when he gets to the top, and glares at Shawn Michaels, who stands in the ring. The show then goes to a break.]

-----

Tag Team Match:

World's Greatest Tag Team vs The Hearthrobs

This match was actually pretty darn good. The Hearthrobs showed the fans that they were ready to be called up from OVW a while back, even if they were dominated for a lot of the match. Haas and Benjamin looked to be at ease, they performed double-team moves flawlessly. They truely are a great tag team. There were a few funny spots between Benjamin and Romeo, who started dancing near Benjamin in the middle of the match. In the end, Benjamin threw Antonio over the top, and Haas grabbed Romeo. Benjamin went to the turnbuckle, and Haas brought Romeo (who was on his shoulders) to the corner. Benjamin flew off, completing the Doomsday Device, and got the win.

-----

A Match for SummerSlam

[Eric Bischoff stands backstage, looking at the camera, a cocky grin on his face.]

Bischoff: "As you all know, the main event of last week's RAW was a match between Chris Jericho and Edge. And as you also know, the match ended in a double count-out, leaving no clear winner. Now normally, I would've just moved on. However, there was something there. Not only is the conflict unfinished, but the main event last week drew in strong ratings...infact, it was the highest rated segment on RAW for the entire night! So you see, at the request of both men, I had no trouble making a final addition to an already strong card for SummerSlam. That's right, at SummerSlam (which is just thirteen days away might I add) we will see Chris Jericho going one-on-one...with Edge!"

-----

Preparing for Battle

[Triple H and Ric Flair are shown backstage, looking at tapes on the monitor.]

Flair: "Why are we doing this, Hunter? They're just some damn kids! You're acting as though you're getting another shot at the World Title!"

[Triple H glares at Flair, and presses a button on a remote.]

Triple H: "I've told you already, Ric. I'm not going to be satisfied with simply beating those kids at SummerSlam. I'm pissed off, Ric. Because for the first time, I met somebody I couldn't beat...Batista! And until he drops that title, I'm never going to get a shot at it again! I need to take out my frustration, Ric. And I intend on taking it out on Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas! At SummerSlam, I'm going to destroy them!"

[Flair looks suprised, then just nods, and continues watching the screen with Triple H.]

-----

Singles Match:

Rob Conway vs Rhyno

Despite the obvious mis-match of styles, these two guys put on a good match. Conway seemed a little afraid of Rhyno at first, but he eventually recovered, and found a strategy. His strategy seemed to be to try and wear down Rhyno using as many submission holds as possible. It might have worked...if Rhyno wasn't so strong. He used his brute strength to power out of most of Conway's submissions, and then went on the offensive. Conway took quite a beating, and just couldn't seem to be able to come back. He eventually dropped to one knee, and hit Rhyno with a blatant low-blow, giving Rhyno a DQ victory. Conway then rolled out of the ring and walked up the ramp, Dawn Marie on his arm.

Welcome to RAW

[Michael Shane is standing in the back, with Todd Grisham.]

Grisham: "Er...Michael Shane, from what I understand, you have signed a contract to RAW. Is this true?"

[shane looks at Grisham, smirks, then nods.]

Shane: "You're damn right it's true! Ever since I was young, it was my dream to come to WWE. I wanted to wrestle with my cousin, I wanted to be as good as Shawn Michaels. But today, my dream is different. I no longer want to be as good as Shawn Michaels. No, I want to be better! I want to put his legacy to shame. And I've got the skills to do it. Oh, sure, right now Shawn Michaels might just be a little better than me. But it won't last for long. Because unlike him, I'm still learning! I'm still getting better! And I'm going to continue getting better for years to come! And when I reach my prime, Todd, I promise you that I will be better than anything you've ever seen from Shawn Michaels. In a few years, Shawn Michaels is going to wish that he could be as good as his cousin....Micheal Shane."

[shane smirks, then walks off screen.]

-----

Singles Match:

Chris Benoit vs Daivari

Although Benoit did carry Daivari a little bit in this match, Daivari did look fairly good. He let Benoit dictate the pace of the match, which ended up being very fast. Daivari showed off his speed, trying to evade Benoit, and get in a few hits, but Benoit caught him and began chain-wrestling for a brief time. He then began locking Daivari in various submissions, all the while looking at Muhammad Hassan, who was at ringside. Benoit got in his chops, his trio of german suplexes, and his diving headbutt before locking in the Sharpshooter and making Daivari tap-out. However, he was not allowed to celebrate, as Hassan ran in, and clocked him with the Intercontinental Title. He then grabbed a microphone.

-----

Thirteen Days

[Hassan paces around the ring, Intercontinental Title on his shoulder.]

Hassan: "In thirteen days, I will further my quest to become immortal when I beat Chris Benoit, and retain my Intercontinental Title! I don't know if you people have noticed, but even though Daivari here has some losses, I, the great Muhammad Hassan, still stand undefeated on RAW! And you know what else hasn't defeated me yet? You people's prejudice! I am the Intercontinental Champion here on RAW, despite all of your racism! And at SummerSlam, I will defeat one of your heros! I will defeat a former World Heavyweight Champion! I will beat Chris Benoit!"

[Hassan puts the Title on his shoulder, and raises his hands. However, he is struck from behind! Chris Benoit hits him, and tosses him over the top-rope! Benoit picks up Daivari, and throws him out as well!]

Benoit: "This isn't over yet, Muhammad! At SummerSlam, I'm going to make you tap!"

[Hassan rises, and walks up the ramp with Daivari, looking pissed off.]

Tag Team Match:

Batista/Chris Jericho vs Edge/Randy Orton

Excellent main event, somehow even better than Jericho/Edge from last week. The fans really wanted to see Batista and Orton hook up, and when they did finally get in the ring together, the crowd went nuts. However, it didn't last long. It was clear that WWE was saving the match for SummerSlam. Infact, most of the action took place between Edge and Batista or Orton and Jericho. At the end of the match, Orton threw Jericho into the corner, which knocked Batista off the apron. Jericho staggered back, and Orton hit him with the RKO! He pinned Jericho, and collected the win. Batista slowly got in the ring, and although Edge and Orton tried to double-team him, he managed to throw both of them out of the ring!

-----

JR: "A little less than thirteen days away from SummerSlam, and Randy Orton has just pinned Chris Jericho! What a night!"

[The show ends with Batista being handed his World Heavyweight Title, as he helps Jericho to his feet, and stares down Edge and Orton.]

WWE Smackdown! Results for August 18th

Taped from Toronto, Ontario, Canada (10,006 in Attendance)

[Before we are shown the Smackdown! opening, we are taken to an "Earlier Today" clip where we see Rey Mysterio walking into the building with his gym bag. From behind him comes Eddie Guerrero, who grabs Rey's bag and carries it for him.]

MYSTERIO-Eddie...What....What are you doing essa?

EDDIE-I'm helping you with your bag. I told you last week that I was going to change and I am. Instead of hurting you I am helping you vato. Is there a problem with that?

MYSTERIO-Well...No....But....I'm not too sure that you were being honest last week. I mean, with all the times you lied in the past and you just giving up and apologising so easily and quickly...I don't know if I can believe you.

EDDIE-Come on, Rey-Rey. We were best amigos one time. We were like familia, essa. I threw all of that down the drain the minute I knew you were stealing the spot light from me but I am trying to get all that back. Even I wouldn't sink as low as trying to gain your trust and turning my back on you again. Even I am man enough to fight you face to face without lying to you. Now just let me carry your bag, vato. Let me show these fans that I too can be just like you.

[Rey shakes his head a little and the two continue walking until they are stopped by The System.]

DEAN-Well what do we have here. An overweight Mexican jumping bean and a...Well I really can't make fun of you, Mr. Guerrero, because you are a former WWE Champion...Who lost that title to the likes of JBL and who has been too distracted to even win a credible title. You would be surprised at how much these slobs in the crowd could care less about the Tag Team titles.

EDDIE-Hey vato. Why don't you and your little lackeys go get juiced up some more and go starve yourselfs some more!

DEAN-Are you accusing me and my young, fit crew here that we use steroids and starve to get in this great shape? We work out in the best gym and use the best products. Simon Protein Shakes, Simon Protein Bars, Simon Protein Powder, everything. And the best gym is Simon's Gym and only key people are members.

MYSTERIO-Listen, we don't want any trouble, essa. I know me and you have got a match for my United States title at SummerSlam in less than two weeks, but let's just try and keep out of eachothers way until then.

EDDIE-Besides, it looks like you should go and burn that extra fat that's hanging from your stomach, vatos.

DEAN-...Excuse me? Are you saying that we have an ounce of fat on us? You just said the wrong thing to the wrong person. Since you two seem to be such good friends again, why don't you two do what you're used to and destroy your singles careers by facing me and one of my System members next week!

[The System walks off as we head to the Smackdown! opening.]

[Instead of the pyro display going off, fire explodes on the entrance ramp and the screen shows the words "Val Venis" on fire. It then shows a shot of a hospital hallway where doctors are running into a room. The camera pans over and reveals Val Venis on the door. Another doctor goes into the room and the camera goes in as well. It shows Val Venis in a hospital bed with his head busted wide open and a nuese around his neck which looks to be very tight. The doctors yell stuff at eachother as the camera cuts back to the arena.]

COLE-You don't think that Kane could have done that, do you Tazz?

TAZZ-I dunno, Cole. But don't worry about that. As we just heard, Simon Dean and either Frankie Kazarian or Johnny Swinger will team up to face the return of Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero teaming up next week.

COLE-I'm still not buying that Eddie is being nice to Rey without there being some kind of catch or lie involved. But speaking of The System, we should get ready for the first match of the night.

Normal Singles Match

Johnny Swinger w/ Simon Dean & Frankie Kazarian [vs] Tajiri w/ Torrie Wilson

[Yes, Torrie finally decided to go back to Tajiri. At least that's what it seems like. Simon Dean got on the mic before the match to bill this as another Simon System Invitational. Pretty much Tajiri held the upper hand most of the time. Towards the end Swinger got locked in the Tarantula, with Tajiri quickly letting go of it to avoid getting disqaulified. Chavo Guerrero then came walking out with his Cruiserweight title. He walked down the ramp and went over to Torrie, grabbing her by the wrist. She tried pulling away but Chavo just pulled her towards him and laid a kiss on her. Tajiri got out of the ring and attacked Chavo from behind. He kicked him and Chavo stumbled backwards into the metal pole. Tajiri went to kick him, but Chavo moved and Tajiri nailed the post. He fell, holding his leg as he was counted out. Torrie checked on him as Chavo walked away in smiles.]

[The camera returns in Mick Foley's office where he is once again playing a game with Eugene. This time it is checkers. Foley is about to make a move when Christian busts into the room and the crowd cheers for him. Well we ARE in Canada.]

CHRISTIAN-Just tell me. What are you trying to make Smackdown! look like without having Captain Charisma participating in one of the biggest Pay-Per-Views of the year? Even my own brother is in a match and all he did was screw people...over. Do you want Smackdown! to look like the minor leagues against RAW, or do you want me to steal the show and prove to all WWE fans that Smackdown! is the best brand in Sports Entertainment?

FOLEY-I have been thinking about it. You're right. You do deserve to be a part of SummerSlam. But what can we do with you? We could make the Smackdown! main event a triple threat for the title...But I can't do that to the real number one contender. How would you like it if I gave you a special spot to do your Peep Show? Then again there aren't very many people to have as a guest that would make it special enough. I know how to make you a part of a match. The main event in fact. It will be Carlito Cool versus John Cena for the WWE Championship...With Captain Charisma as the Special Referee!

CHRISTIAN-Special Referee...You know, Mick. I like it. Captain Charisma as the Special Ref in the Smackdown! main event will steal the show! And you don't have to worry. I will be the fairest ref of all. You don't have to worry about me screwing anybody over. I'm just happy that I don't have a match tonight. Saves me Canada from being screwed twice in less than a decade...What are you looking at?

EUGENE-Nothing...

CHRISTIAN-Are you calling me a nothing? Do you have any idea who you're talking to? I am the sole reason Smackdown! is still running. I bet you didn't know that it was THIS close to being canned until The Captain showed up and brought the fans back in! And who are you?

[Eugene bites his thumb and then stands up.]

EUGENE-I'm the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!

[Eugene jumps up and down as he claps his hands.]

CHRISTIAN-You think you're the best there is, was, and ever will be? What have you done that is so great? You got a rabbit as a gift, you got kissed by a big breasted, red headed, no-talented slut, you're the nephew of Eric Bischoff...What else have you done that makes you the best? Nothing! Captain Charisma is the best there is! The Captain is the best there was! And I am the best there ever will be!

EUGENE-No you're not.

CHRISTIAN-Yes I am!

EUGENENo you're not.

CHRISTIAN-Yes...I...Am!

EUGENEYes you are.

CHRISTIAN-No I'm not! I mean-

[Eugene jumps around and claps his hands again as Christian leaves the room with a disgusted look on his face.]

Normal Singles Match

Rene Dupree [vs] Hardcore Holly

[Same match as last time pretty much. Not too much greater, not too much worse. Some of the crowd cheered Dupree, but both wrestlers didn't get big reactions. Dupree came out with his French flag and Holly came out with an American flag. Basically a lot of back and forth brawling went on with Holly hitting some very stiff looking moves. He was even able to get in his little rope hung low blow kick move. Dupree managed to get out of the ring after delivering a russian legsweep, and after he got out he grabbed Holly's American flag and slid back in. The ref quickly grabbed it from him and got out of the ring to give it to the time keeper to hold on to. In the mean time Dupree slid back out and grabbed his flag. Once back in the ring he nailed Holly over the head with it and tossed it away. The ref slid back into the ring just as Dupree made the cover for the win.]

[The camera cuts to The Cabinet's locker room.]

JBL-Last week was great. Not only did my Cabinet defeat The Basham's crappy team, but I managed to get a match with that punk Cena. And after I win tonight, I will secure a title match for No Mercy! And what's even greater, is my new Secretaries of Defense. Unlike The Basham's, you understand my decisions. I didn't want to, but I had to leave you two to fend off The Undertaker last week. If I had done it I may not have been able to even be here tonight. Although that probably would have been better. I can't stand coming up to Canada. The fans are still moaning about something that happened eight years ago.

REIGNS-Hey. Don't worry about them or last week. Me and Matt are here and that means that The Undertaker didn't do a damn thing to us. We can fend for ourselves and we know that if you aren't there to watch our backs, then we watch eachothers.

JBL-That's right. I don't want anyone here that can't fight their own fights without me there...Orlando, what's bothering you? You haven't talked that much since last week.

JORDAN-It should be me facing that midget for the United States title at SummerSlam. Not some reject who isn't even good enough to be in your Cabinet. Just look around. None of us have any gold. You should be the WWE Champion, I should be the United States Champion, and you two should be the Tag Team Champions. We should have all the gold. And you know why we don't? Because of Mick Foley. The man who is supposed to be the General Manager. At least with Long we were given fair chances when we asked for them. Now we can't even get a title match if we pay for it.

JBL-Don't worry, Orlando. Soon enough Mick Foley will realize that without us as champions, the fans will leave Smackdown! to watch RAW. The only reason Foley isn't giving us any real chances is because we aren't a part of that damned ECW family. After I beat John Cena tonight, I will have the chance to regain my WWE Championship. And after that, I will have the pull in order to grant all three of you title matches. Title matches that you will win.

Normal Tag Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships

MNM© w/ Melina Perez [vs] Paul London & ?

[The crowd waited anxiosly at who London's mystery partner would be, and they cheered when Brian Kendrick came out. London and Kendrick got in some great moves during the match and were given more time than a usual Smackdown! tag match would get. At one point MNM took London out with a Snapshot and Kendrick went for a Sliced Bread #2 on Nitro, but Mercury was able to actually catch Kendrick on his shoulder as he flipped backwards from the corner. Nitro got out of Kendricks grip and went to the middle rope. Mercury flipped Kendrick forward into a backbreaker and held him there. Nitro then delivered a legdrop across his neck. MNM went to the outside and grabbed a table and slid it into the ring. They set it up but were unable to do anything as The Dudleyz music began playing and they ran out. Both teams brawled with eachother, resulting in a DQ, and The Dudleyz hit a 3D to Nitro and moved the table to the corner, putting Mercury on it after they did. Kendrick went to the top rope and nailed the Left Turn At Albuquerque to him and through the table.]

[The camera cuts back to Foley's office once again where he is still playing checkers with Eugene. Hardcore Holly bursts into the room this time and starts yelling at Foley.]

HOLLY-Mick, I want Dupree in a match where he can't cheat to win using his flag. This is the second time he used that flag on me just to beat me and I want him in a hardcore match at SummerSlam!

FOLEY-Listen Bob. I would like to give you a match againt Rene Dupree because we both know you deserve it. But I can't. I have something else in mind for you. You see, I got a call from Eugene's doctor last week and apparently the reason he has been having these head problems and going off attacking people like Cena is because...Well, I didn't quite get the terms for it but he has a sort of split personality. On the outside he is just a guy who is a kid at heart. But inside there is someone who has been dying to get out for years and he has found a way out. And he will continue coming out and Eugene will continue randomly attacking anybody for no reason until he stops being a kid at heart. What you are going to do is be Eugene's new friend. You are going to do anything you can to stop making him happy all the time and childish. I want you to be as tough, as brutal..whatever you have to do. If you have to break his arm just to make him stop acting like this, then do it.

[Eugene gets up from his seat and runs over to Holly and hugs him. Holly just has his normal facial expression as we go to the final break in the evening.]

[As we come back from the break we are taken to the back where we see Carlito Caribbean Cool standing by himself, apple in hand.]

CARLITO-Ya know..Many people think that I don't deserve my match at SummerSlam against John Cena for the WWE title..And dat's just not cool. If anyone on Smackdown! deserves that match..It's me. JBL had his shot already...The Undertaker doesn't need a title match...Eddie Guerrero had his shot last month...and Christian...He ain't cool enough to be on my level. He whines just to get what he wants and he got to be named the special referee for my match. My match. The match where I will finally become the WWE Champion. Now dat's cool. And after I become WWE Champion..everyone will bow down to me. John Cena won't be able to stop me from winning. He can rap he wants. He can wave his hand around all he wants. But even if you wrap crap up in some nice wrapping paper, it's still crap. And that's exactly what John Cena is. Christian can't stop me from winning even if he decides to try to cheat me out of it. Just like in High School, he is the nerd that is jealous of the popular crowd. But I don't blame him. Who doesn't want to have a great physique. Who doesn't want to be the center of attention all the time. And most of all..Who doesn't want to be me. Carlito...Caribbean...Cool...

[Triple C takes his apple, bites it, and spits it into the camera. We cut to the ring for our main event of the evening.]

Normal Singles Non-Title Match

John Cena [vs] John Bradshaw Layfield w/ The Cabinet

[More back and forth brawling in this match, with The Cabinet getting involved many times. They were soon sent to the back after Morgan was caught choking Cena while he was leaning against the ropes. Cena got back on the offense from then and dominated most of the time. He was going for the F-U a little while after, but JBL slipped behind him and whipped him to the ropes. Cena came back and got kicked in the gut. JBL lifted him up and nailed a JBL Bomb for a two count. He picked Cena back up and ran to the ropes. He was about to go for the Clothesline From Hell, but Cena was about to duck and the lights went out. They came back on and Cena was standing behind JBL doing his 'You Can't See Me!' taunt. JBL turned around, got nailed with an F-U and Cena got the pinfall.]

COLE-The Undertaker just blew JBL's chances at winning the match! And thank God too!

TAZZ-JBL's got to be livin' after losing, Cole. We just have to wait until next week to see what goes down.

COLE-That's right. And with only ten days away from SummerSlam, next week will be the final stop. So make sure you tune in!

WWE RAW Results

08.22.05

[After the opening video showcasing the RAW superstars plays, a small message appears on the screen that says "Six Days..." The show then cuts to the arena, where Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcome us to RAW.]

JR: "Welcome to RAW everybody, which is coming to you LIVE from the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia! I'm Jim Ross, and the man sitting next to me is known as Jerry 'The King' Lawler."

King: "We're in Flair Country tonight JR! But if that's not a big enough reason to stick around, we've got two huge matches signed for tonight!"

JR: "That's right, tonight we will be seeing Triple H take on Charlie Haas!"

King: "As if that's not enough, we've got Kurt Angle and Muhammad Hassan teaming up to take on Chris Benoit and Shawn Michaels! That's going to be a hell of a match!"

JR: "I'm sure it will be King, but right now, let's take a look at the ring."

-----

The Highlight Reel with the Animal

[Chris Jericho is standing in the ring when the camera shows the ring. He has a microphone in his hand, and the set for the Highlight Reel is set up.]

Jericho: "Welcome...to RAW...IS...JERICHO!!! [pop.] We've got a big guest here tonight, to say the least. I'm going to get right to the introduction. Ladies and gentlemen, this man is one of the most powerful men in RAW history. This man...is the very same man that that I teamed up with last week to take on Edge and Randy Orton. This is man is your World Heavyweight Champion! I give to you, the Animal...Batista!"

[batista's music plays, and he makes his way down to the ring to a huge pop. He gets in the ring and poses with his World Heavyweight Title, as Jericho politely applauds.]

Jericho: "Dave...I'm out here for one reason tonight, and for one reason only. I want...and I'm sure all these fans want....to know what's going through your mind. I mean, as Randy Orton showed last week, when he pinned me with the RKO...he's not exactly a weak little assclown, is he? You and him were in Evolution together, you two were groomed for greatness by Triple H and Ric Flair. You've both held that World Heavyweight Title, though I think we can all agree that you've had the superior reign. [pop.] So Batista, why don't you tell all these Jerichoholics just what you're thinking?"

[batista smirks, and takes the microphone. He doesn't even start speaking before he gets a pop. He laughs it off.]

Batista: "Chris, at SummerSlam...I know that there's going to be a competitive match. I know that Randy's talented. But perhaps I know him too well. For almost a year, he and I hung out together. We teamed together. We got to know eachother. The thing is, when I step into that ring on Sunday, I'm going to know exactly what Randy wants to do. But the same thing goes for me. Randy knows me well enough to anticipate what I'm going to do. So what's going to happen? Well, it's going to come down to one thing. The moment one of us sees an opportunity, we're going to have to take it. Whether it's a chance to slowly wear down your opponent, or to hit him with a big move, we've got to take that opportunity, and use it to our advantage. Now Randy may have me on the speed thing, and he might be a little smarter than I...I'll admit that. But I'm stronger. And I'm not just a little stronger...I'm a hell of a lot stronger. It's going to take a lot from Randy to take me out, while it's not going to take much from me to put him down."

[batista pauses, and gets a brief pop.]

Batista: "But there's one more thing that makes me sure that I'm going to win. You see Chris, I need to win. Why? Well, SummerSlam this year is in Washington D.C. What's so special about that? Washington D.C....is the home of Dave Batista. When I go there, I'm going to do whatever it takes to won. Nobody steps in my house, and lives to tell about it!"

[The crowd pops, and Batista poses to the fans' delight. He stands tall as RAW goes to a commercial.]

-----

Singles Match:

Randy Orton vs William Regal

Orton obviously had something to prove in this match, and he really took it to Regal. Orton showed some pretty good skills on the mat early on, and he slowly upped the tempo until he was in control of the match. He then started just hitting Regal with everything he had, obviously trying to show the fans (and Batista) that there is more to him than one might think. He hit Regal with the O-Zone, a move he used to use as a finisher. However, even though Regal was weak enough to be pinned, Orton didn't end it there. He allowed Regal to rise, then he hit him with the RKO. He then pinned Regal for the win. After the match, Orton went to grab a chair, and he raised it over Regal's head, but Batista appeared on the ramp, causing Orton to drop the chair and have a stare-down with the man he'd be facing in just six days.

-----

Over the Edge

[Edge is in the back, with Lita. He looks into the camera, clearly pissed off.]

Edge: "SummerSlam is just six days away, and it finally hit me. I'm in a match with Chris Jericho. The man who SCREWED me out of a World Heavyweight Title shot. Do you idiots know what that means? This coming Sunday, we could be seeing Edge beat Batista for the World Heavywieght Championship. But no....apparantly that wasn't meant to me. Instead, I was destined to get screwed out of the World Title, time and time again! And you know what? I'm sick of it! I'm sick of all this crap! I am the most talented man on RAW, no matter what anybody else says! It should've been me out there just now, beating the crap out of William Regal! But no...instead I'll probably be stuck curtain-jerking at SummerSlam, while Randy Orton soaks up all the glory. [Edge now speaks in a much quieter voice.] But you know what? That doesn't really matter. Because as long as I have this [points to briefcase] I know that I can get the World Heavyweight Title whenever I want. I'm just waiting for the right place, and the right time."

[Edge looks at the camera one last time, before turning and leaving, hand-in-hand with Lita.]

-----

I Just Wanna Be A Super Hero....

[Eric Bischoff is shown walking backstage, when he suddenly sees a phonebooth...set up in the middle of the hallway. He looks around, and enters it. The door suddenly slams behind him, and white powder drops from the roof of the booth, onto Bischoff. Hurricane and Rosey then appear on-screen, looking at the booth.]

Hurricane: "Do you think we got one, young Roosevelt?"

[Rosey just shrugs, and walks over, opening the booth casually. Eric Bischoff stumbles out, covered in powder, and looking absolutely livid.]

Bischoff: "What the hell is the meaning of this? Hurricane? Rosey? What the hell was that?"

[Rosey and Hurricane look at eachother, with looks of terror upon their faces.]

Hurricane: "Mister Bischoff....we are sorry...but we were merely testing the area."

Bischoff: "Testing the area? Testing the area for what!?"

Hurricane: "For super-villians, of course. It is well-known that superheroes often change inside of a phone-booth, so we set this trap here. One can never be too safe, Mister Bischoff. Things have been quiet around here as of late. We fear that a great villain may be plotting against the superstars of RAW, and it is our duty to protect them."

Bischoff: "I'll tell you what, Hurricane...Rosey. I'll help you out. You see, I believe that I know of two men who fit in with what you just described. They're called Chris Masters and Mark Jindrak! That's right, why don't you go out there and show us all of your powers in a rematch from last night's Heat?"

-----

Tag Team Match:

Justice League vs True Perfection

Pretty similar to their match from Heat last night, meaning that while it wasn't good, it was watchable. The True Perfection team sounds pretty decent, more teams is always good, and it'll give both of those guys something to do. Jindrak can hold his own in the ring, and while Masters is far from great, he's improving with time. Masters and Jindrak had control for most of the match, especially when the Hurricane was in there. Rosey was a little bit more of a challenge, but they were still able to get the job done. In the end, Jindrak caught Rosey with a powerbomb, and Masters locked in the Masterlock for the submission victory. Jindrak & Masters posed after the match.

-----

The Conman

[Rob Conway is in the back, with Dawn Marie, and Todd Grisham.]

Grisham: "Rob Conway, you requested this interview time..."

Conway: "You're damn right I requested this time! There's something that needs to be said, Todd."

Grisham: "And may I ask....what that would be?"

[Conway looks at Grisham, and spits on the floor.]

Conway: "You just did, you little jerk-off. Anyway, I think that it's a disgrace that I have been left off the SummerSlam card. I mean, what's there not to like about me? I've definately got enough talent to make the cut, don't I? You can look long and hard Todd, and you aren't going to find many guys as talented as I am, especially here on RAW. I mean, we've got guys like Shelton Benjamin having a match at SummerSlam. I mean...what has he done to deserve a spot? If I remember correctly, he lost to Muhammad Hassan not once...but twice. And yet the greatest young superstar on RAW doesn't have a match. This makes me sick, Todd. Absolutely disgusting."

[Conway glares at Grisham, before walking off.]

-----

Singles Match:

Charlie Haas vs Triple H

This was definately a good match, these two worked fairly well together. Haas and Hunter went at it on the mat for quite a while, with both of them controlling it at different parts of the match. Trips was perhaps a bit too over confident, as he allowed Haas to get the better of him at times. However, he quickly stopped fooling around, and he just started laying the Smackdown on Charlie Haas. Haas managed to mount a small comeback near the final minutes of the match, and he had fans thinking that he might win, but Triple H quickly regained control, and hit Haas with the Pedigree to pick up the win. After the match, Triple H picked up Haas, and threw him out of the ring.

-----

Playing the Game

[shelton Benjamin comes down, and helps Haas up, as Ric Flair (who was at ringside already) enters the ring with a pair of microphones.]

Triple H: "You see? You see that right there? That's exactly what's going to happen in six days at SummerSlam. I don't care how athletic you two kids are, or how many submission moves you've got in your arsenal...you're stepping in the ring with The Game on Sunday. And nobody beats the Game! I've beaten Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels...and I'll be dammed if I lose to some punks on Sunday!"

[Haas and Benjamin shout something to Triple H, who just laughs. Ric Flair then grabs the microphone.]

Flair: "Hampton, Virginia....also known as Flair Country! WOOO! [pop.] Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin....you've bitten off way more than you can chew. I mean, who the hell are you kids? You're nobody! I'm Ric Flair, baby! I'm the wheelin' dealin', kiss stealin'...limosine ridin'...jet flyin' legend known as the Nature Boy Ric Flair! I'm a sixteen time World Champion! I've had more women in this past month than the both of you have had your entire lives! WOOO!"

[Flair goes crazy in the ring, to a big pop as the show goes to a break.]

-----

Warming Up

[Chris Benoit and Shawn Michaels are shown backstage, stretching and doing their normal warm-up exercises. After about a minute, Michaels stops, and starts heading towards the exit. He motions for Benoit to follow him, and Benoit does.]

Michaels: "I just want you to know Chris...that no matter what happened between us in the past...I've got your back."

[benoit says nothing, he merely flexes his muscles, and nods.]

Tag Team Match:

Chris Benoit & Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle & Muhammad Hassan

Really good free televised match to end the show with, which means that both of the singles matches at SummerSlam should be good ones. All of the guys mixed it up with eachother, including some great wrestling between Angle and Benoit. But then again, that has come to be expected from the pair of them. Michaels definately held his own as well, and Hassan was pretty entertaining. Once the match was nearing the end, lots of near-falls sprung up, including HBK almost winning with the Sweet Chin Music. In the end however, Daivari pulled Michaels off of the ring apron, and Hassan hit Benoit with the Modified STO, despite not being the legal man. Angle then quickly locked Benoit in the Ankle Lock, and Benoit tapped before Michaels could break it up. Hassan started celebrating, but some Sweet Chin Music took care of that. Angle and Michaels had a stare-down as RAW went off the air.

JR: "SummerSlam! This Sunday! Kurt Angle versus Shawn Michaels....round two!"

WWE Smackdown! Results for August 25th

Taped from Greensboro, North Carolina (10,029 in Attendance)

[Prior to the Smackdown! opening, we are shown a little montage of last weeks main event of JBL vs John Cena. The video ends with the lights going out, coming back on and Cena nailing the F-U for the win. We are then brought to the Smackdown! video and music and the pyros explode in the arena. The camera pans the arena a few times before landing on the announcers table, where we are introduced by our great announce team.]

COLE-Welcome to WWE Smackdown!! The last stop before WW SummerSlam, brought to you by both RAW and Smackdown!!

TAZZ-Both cards are stacked, Cole. On RAW ya got Triple H and Ric Flair teaming up to face the return of one of the greatest teams that used to be on Smackdown!, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin.

COLE-And two great titles matches for RAW when Muhammed Hassan and Chris Benoit battle it out for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and "The Animal" Batista goes one-on-one with The Legend Killer himself, Randy Orton.

TAZZ-That's definatley gonna be a rocket bustah, but those matches don't compare to what we're bringing to the table. We have Rey Mysterio with Eddie Guerrero in his cornah facing Simon Dean with The System in his for the WWE United States Championship.

COLE-And our main event is going to blow the roof off this Sunday when Carlito Caribbean Cool faces John Cena for the WWE title with Christian as the Special Guest referee!

[Cowbells interupt Michael Cole and JBL and his Cabinet make their way out in the limo. It stops halfway down the aisle and The Cabinet get out and get into the ring. Jordan grabs a microphone and hands it to his leader.]

JBL-I know that many people are jealous of me. Of what I have accomplished. I know that many wish that they could be me for a day. Many people would even just want to be in the same room with me. I know that one of those people is The Undertaker himself. I'm not surprised about it. He has yet to be able to beat me. The thing that does surprise me is that he has the nerve to screw my chances. He has the nerve to turn these lights out on me in a match that would guarantee me a title shot. I figured he would have had enough from last year, but obviously he hasn't. He can't just accept defeat like I do, and admit that I am the better man. I beat him three times last year, and he has yet to be able to beat me in singles action! I even beat his brother last month. I have beaten every giant there is to beat, and The Undertaker just can't accept and admit defeat.

[Just as JBL finishes his sentance, the lights go out. A gong is heard through out the arena and the titantron lights up with the image of The Undertaker with fog surrounding him in a darkened area.]

UNDERTAKER-JBL...You need to learn to stop running your mouth...Because that is what gets you into trouble...You ran your mouth last year...And I nearly took you out of the wrestling game for good...I have better things to do than to cost you a match...You weren't even on my radar last week...But this week..is different...You are the ONLY thing on my radar...Because you accuse me that I turned the lights out last week...You assume that it was me...But it wasn't...Think of someone else whose life you made a living hell since he came to Smackdown!...Someone who is more demonic than I could ever dream of being...Someone that you beat at The Great American Bash...It was HIM, Bradshaw...You have angered him and released his true self with what you put him through...And I signed your death warrant and mine when I took care of him...The difference between me and you...is I am ready for what will come my way...You want to accuse me of things...Then this Sunday, you can accuse me of finally making you rest...in...piece!

[Another gong goes off and fog engulfs Taker's body, followed by the titantron fading to black. The camera shows a scared look on the face of JBL before cutting to the backstage interview area.

[The camera lands on Josh Matthews and Chavo Guerrero standing in the interview area.]

MATTHEWS-I'm Josh Matthews and standing next to me is the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero. And Chavo, in the past couple of weeks you have been trying to hook up with Torrie Wilson and last week you forced yourself upon her. My question is, why?

CHAVO-Ordale holmes! You want to know why I have been after Torrie Wilson? What kind of question is that, essa? She is fine! She has been in Playboy twice and has won nearly every single bikini contest Smackdown! has ever held! Who wouldn't want a piece of that? She doesn't realize that she wants me yet, but eventually I will. I am the Cruiserweight Champion. I am Chavito Heat, vato! And I didn't force myself on her last week. I was trying to give her a friendly hug and she is the one that leaned in the wrong direction, Joshy. But Torrie isn't as important to me as I thought she was. Chavito Heat can have and get any woman he wants! If you want to see if that's true just come to my locker room in 10 minutes!

[Chavo turns and stares straight into the camera.]

CHAVO-But one thing I do want Tajiri, is you this Sunday. I'll even put my gold on the line if that's what it takes to get you in the ring. But I don't want just you out there. I want Torrie to be out there, too. And if she isn't, I will track her down and make both of you sorry that you tried burning Chavito Heat.

[Chavo walks away, shoving Matthews as he walks past.]

Normal Singles Match

Akio [vs] Tajiri w/ Torrie Wilson

[Perhaps a sign that Akio could be getting a push considering that he has been on Smackdown! more than usual. Both blended together really well with quite a few good reversals. The Japanese Buzzsaw was selling his leg from when he hit the metal corner post last week. He missed a Buzzsaw Kick and when his back was to Akio, he (Akio) jumped on Tajiri's shoulders and rolled forward into a pin, but he only was able to get a two. After Tajiri started fighting back, Chavo once again came out to ringside. Tajiri was going to spray Akio with the Poison Mist, but he saw Chavo going after Torrie again. Tajiri slipped out of the ring and went up behind Chavo. He tapped the CW champ on the shoulder and as he turned around, Tajiri nailed him in the head. He slid back into the ring, but wasn't able to defend himself when Akio nailed the NeckPlex Slam rather fast for the win.]

[The camera cuts to the back on a red, sparkling robe with the words "Nature Boy" written on it. The crowd begins cheering and "WOOO!"-ing as the camera zooms out a little. The crowd then lets out a bit of dissapointment when the camera reveals...Eugene! Eugene turns around and faces the camera.]

EUGENE-WOOO! Hi everybody [Waving]! I'm The Nature Boy! Look!

[Eugene starts doing the Ric Flair strut, 'Wooing' when he stops twice.]

EUGENE-I'm the jet flying, limo riding, kiss stealing, wheeling dealing son of a gun [Jumps and Claps]! I'm a sixteen time World champion. I can count to sixteen to. Watch. One...Two...Three...Four...Five...Um...Five plus one...Seven-

HOLLY-Eugene! What the hell are you doing?!? I told you to stay put and you go running off dressing like this?

EUGENE-I'm not Eugene. Im Ric Flair. Wooo! See?

HOLLY-You're not Ric Flair. You're Eugene. Now let's go.

EUGENE-I don't want to! You're not a nice friend! You're only pretending to be my friend because Mick Foley told you to.

HOLLY-Exactly. It's time for you to grow up and realize that not everybody wants to be your friend. Now let's go and get this stupid task over with.

[Holly grabs Eugene by the arm, but Eugene resists. Holly continues trying to pull him, but Eugene doesn't budge. Holly finally decks Eugene in the kisser with a punch, causing him to cry. Holly picks Eugene up over his shoulder and walks away.]

[We return from the break and are shown a little video focused around The Dudleyz. It shows a few clips of them battling some teams in ECW and from the WWE in 2000, followed by a table with an 'M' on it. It then shows clips of The Dudleyz putting several wrestlers through tables with a 3D and with a powerbomb, followed by another shot of a table with an 'N' on it. The video ends with clips of The Dudleyz participating in some of the greatest TLC and Table matches the WWF has ever seen, and followed/ended with a final shot of a table with another 'M' on it.]

Normal Singles Match w/ London, Melina, Dudleyz, and Nitro Banned From Ringside

Joey Mercury [vs] Brian Kendrick

[With five people banned from ringside, the match was actually very good. Kendrick was able to show off his real abilities and proved that he should have been treated better in his first stay on Smackdown!. The only thing that dragged the match down was that Kendrick was moving a little too fast and Mercury couldn't really keep up with him. Kendrick was on the move a lot but Mercury managed to ground him after dropkicking him when Kendrick came off the top rope. With him down, Mercury got out of the ring and pulled a table from underneath it. He set it up on the outside, about a foot away from the ring, and slid back in as Kendrick got up. Mercury grabbed Kendrick by the head and tossed him over the top rope, but Kendrick held onto the rope and landed himself on the apron. He stood up and blocked a punch, then blocked another. He blocked one more, but Mercury poked Kendrick in the eyes. He ran to the ropes and sprinboarded back, hitting Kendrick with a dropkick Jericho style. Kendrick fell from the apron and went right through the table. If this was a tables match Mercury would have won, but Kendrick came out with the victory this evening.]

[The camera cuts to the back where we see Christian walking down a hall with a referee's shirt on, saying comments to people as he passes by them.]

CHRISTIAN-Make sure you watch this Sunday. Captain Charisma, referee...Watch out, pretty soon I'll be holding the WWE Championship and doing your job out there, too!...Only Captain Charisma can make vertical stripes look so good!

[Christian walks down the hall a bit further, pointing and giving a cocky smile to a few more staff members, before he stops without a smile. The camera pans over and the crowd cheers as it reveals the WWE Champion blocking his way.]

CENA-Yo. This Sunday, yeah, you are going to be the ref in my title match. Yeah, you are going to be able to control who wins and who loses. You'll be able to control the rules of the match. But dawg, don't try screwin' me out of being WWE champ. Because if you do, there being hell to pay will be the damn understatement of the century! You make sure you call the match down the middle and don't give Carlito Fool any advantages.

CHRISTIAN-You see this shirt? That means I am the referee. I do what I want. I call what I want. And The Captain doesn't respond very well to threats. If you want to make sure I call things fair as square, you make sure you stay out of my way. Now if you don't mind, I have to go work my arms out so they don't happen to cramp up when one of them is coming down for the three count.

[Christian continues his walk down the hall as the camera stays on Cena.]

CENA-You just make sure you don't cramp up, or I'm going midevil on your ***!

Normal Tag Match

The System w/ Frankie Kazarian [vs] Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio

[Pretty good paced match, and Eddie didn't show any signs of lying to Rey. He stayed on the apron and didn't move when Rey tried tagging him in. Swinger beat down Mysterio a lot and would tag Dean in whenever Mysterio was down, but neither man wanted to be in the ring when Eddie was tagged in. At one point Rey was beaten up badly and was crawling to tag Eddie in, with Swinger down on the mat, and Dean got into the ring to distract the ref as Rey tagged Eddie. Dean got back out of the ring and the ref turned around. He saw Eddie in the ring and stopped him from going after Swinger, saying he didn't see a tag. Dean got off the apron and grabbed Mysterio's U.S. title belt and slid into the ring. Swinger was now up and he dragged Mysterio to the middle of the ring. He picked Mysterio up and Dean nailed him in the head with his own title. Dean dropped the belt and he & Swinger exited the ring. The ref started counting them out and all three members of The System proceeded to walk up the ramp as they were counted out.]

[As we return from the break we are shown an image of New York again. The camera pans down to reveal Rene Dupree standing in the middle of a sidewalk as people pass him by.]

DUPREE-New York City. You all have felt sympathy for this dump ever since the terrorist attacks happened. You applaud anybody who says the terrorists are cowards, but if someone says the terrorists were doing what they thought is right, then you automatically think he should burn in hell. Il me rend malade! Everyone thinks that the amendmants should apply to everybody, but the minute someone uses freedom of speech and says something about the terrorists that you don't agree with, they get their show taken off the air! America is a two faced country. It is full of overweight people. And look at who you have as a President! Take a look around New York. This place was just asking for an attack, and they got what they deserved! It disgusts me at how bad this country is. You all think that discrimination is a bad thing, but look at what anyone who looks of middle eastern descent goes through! Look at what my people go through! When was the last time someone who actually spoke their mind about what they really think of America held the WWE Championship or even the United States Championship? And how much of an ego do Americans have that they have to have a belt named for their state? I am being discriminated because I tell the truth and people like John Cena get titles just because they can make rhymes. Soyez bienvenus à l'âne de l'Amérique!

[The screen fades to an image of the American flag taking up the entire screen, then burning into flames.]

Normal Singles Match

The Undertaker [vs] Carlito Caribbean Cool

[The match came off as a squash match with Taker dominating from the minute the bell rang. He just wanted to make Carlito suffer and wanted to show JBL what would be coming his way in three days. Taker lifted Carlito up by the throat for the finish, but when he did the lights out for him. They came back on as cowbells started ringing and Taker let go of Carlito to see if JBL was coming out. Carlito took the opportunity and clubbed Taker in the back. Taker turned around and just grabbed Carlito by the throat one more time, and this time he finished him off with the Choke Slam.]

COLE-The Undertaker sent Carlito Caribbean Cool right to hell!

TAZZ-And this Sunday he plan's to do the same to JBL, Cole.

COLE-Three days! Three days until SummerSlam and the card is going to be a block buster event! Make sure you order the Pay-Per-View and watch the fall out next week on RAW and Smackdown!!
