Because I'm a glutton for either going all out when I'm bored (and or busy) I'll actually type a couple of lyric lines for mine. And no song name, so you'll just have to guess. I swear it'll be fun.

10. You know I did it, it's over, and I feel fine. Nothing you can say is gonna change my mind.

9. Well, I heard 'em say, "Nothing's ever promised tomorrow or today."

8. This modern love...breaks me. This modern love...awaits me.

7. And I feel like I'm naked in front of a crowd cause these words are my diary screaming out loud. And I know that you'll use them however you want to.

6. I was happy in this fortress, in my exile I remained. But the hours grew so empty and the ocean sent her waves, in the figure of a woman

and she pulled me out to sea.

5. Why don't you ask the kids at Tianamien Square? Was fashion the reason why they were there?

4. Hell yes, I'm movin this way. I'm doing this thing (Please enjoy.). Hell yes, I'm turnin it on. I'm working my legs.

3. You motherfuckers better do your job and roll up and watch how we roll up and I can't control it, can't hold it, it's so nuts. I take a sip of that yak, I wanna fuck. I take a hit of that chronic, it got me stuck.

2. Everybody sees me but it's not that easy standing in the lightfield waiting for some action.

1. Three out of five, three out of five (it's not enough). Six out of ten, better luck next time.

I doubt this is any conclusive top 10 list from me at all (I'd probably change it up if I heard more stuff from 20-05), but I liked all of these songs so meh...

Guest Booker T & The MG's

Thank God!I tought I was the only one to find "Talk" one of the best of the year

I actually think "Talk" is "The Scientist" of X and Y to "Fix You"'s "Clocks". And what I mean by that is that both "Fix You" and "Clocks" are horrendously overrated while "Talk" and "The Scientist" are the best tracks from their respective albums.

My list is of only singles, and they weren't necessarily released in 2005, but they were more popular this year. Due to the fact that I know a few of my top 10 were TECHNICALLY released as singles last year, I am going to put my top 15 in hopes of off-setting some of the "that song is too old to be on this list" stuff.

15. Muse "Stockholm Syndrome"

14. Crossfade "Colors"

13. My Chemical Romance "Helena"

12. The Bravery "An Honest Mistake"

11. The Arcade Fire "Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)"

10. Avenged Sevenfold "Bat Country"

9. Sum 41 "Pieces"

8. Gorillaz "Feel Good Inc."

7. The Used "All That I've Got"

6. Slipknot "Vermilion"

5. Taking Back Sunday "Set Phasers to Stun"

4. The Hives "Two-Timing Touch and Broken Bones"

3. Mudvayne "Happy?"

2. A Perfect Circle "Passive"

1. Muse "Hysteria"

Well because I'm a downloading asshole, I tend to acquire, play and be done, rather than assessing the ins and outs of a track beforehand. Basically, that means I don't take into account the year the record I'm playing was released.

However, from memory, ten songs I know that have definately been released in 2005 that I love are:

"Blue Orchid" by the White Stripes

"The Importance Of Being Idle" by Oasis

"Juicebox" by The Strokes

"Wisemen" by James Blunt

"I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor" by the Arctic Monkeys

"Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz

"Welcome Home" by Coheed and Cambria

"Lyla" by Oasis

"Dirty Harry" by Gorillaz

"You're Beautiful" by James Blunt

Yeah, they're probably not my ten favourite songs of 2005, but I sat here thinking for a while in my tipsy state, and that's what came out.
