No One Can Stop This Machine

It was no doubt not the best night for Shawn Michaels. The night started off with Carlito having his talk show, Carlito’s Cabana. His special guests were Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle. First out was HBK and he and Carlito were talking perfectly fine until HBK didn’t like what Carlito said about he getting his ass kicked by Samoa Joe. HBK got in Carlito’s face and Carlito warned HBK. HBK didn’t care and was about to go crazy on Carlito. Carlito then took a bite of his apple and then spit it right in Shawn Michaels’ face. HBK was about to attack Carlito, when from the crowd ran Kurt Angle and he slid in the ring attack Michaels. He hit HBK with the Angle Slam and then locked in the Ankle Lock and had it locked in for almost a minute. After Angle finished up he got on the mic and said that tonight he will be finished as he will finish him off in the tag team match. Right before Angle left he told HBK that he shouldn’t worry about Joe because he wasn’t here tonight, but he should worry about him (Angle). Then later in the night Kurt Angle walked in the locker room of Samoa Joe and Paul Heyman was giving him a pep talk. Angle then just told him that if they knew the plan. Heyman told Angle he did and Joe said he was ready to destroy HBK again. Then finally the tag team match came and HBK was ready for Angle and you also can’t forget about Triple H and the Champion, Randy Orton. What a match this one was as both teams battled it out for over 20 minutes. The whole match was revolved around both feuds sparking. The finish came when Triple H nailed Orton with a huge Clothesline making him fly out of the ring. The Game followed Orton out of the ring and they began brawling. Then HBK went right after Angle and they started brawling in the ring. The ref then saw that the action out of the ring was getting out of control so he headed out of the ring to try to break up Triple H and Randy Orton. At that time, down came running Samoa Joe! Joe got in the ring and HBK backed up right into him. Everyone knew Michaels was done. Joe literally f**ked him up. Angle distracted the ref too so Joe can do as much damage as possible to Michaels. Finally, Joe hit the Muscle Buster and then left the ring. Angle got the ref back in the ring and Angle rolled up HBK. The ref counted the three and once again Angle pinned Michaels because of Samoa Joe. After the match Joe, Angle and Triple H backed up the ramp with all three of them having sadistic smiles on their faces to end Smackdown!

Before Smackdown! ended though, there was a lot more action going on, like Cruiserweight action. After Carlito’s Cabana, out came Frankie Kazarian and he was ready to make his open challenge. Kazarian got on the mic and said that he was ready to make his undefeated record from 4-0 to 5-0. So he called down any single cruiserweight and out came Nunzio! Nunzio ran down to the ring and the title match was on! Nunzio put up a great fight against Kazarian, but he didn’t have enough in him to defeat the Champion. Kazarian coming down to the final minutes just got another boost of energy and defeated Nunzio when he hit a huge Tornado DDT. After the match Kazarian got on the mic he said that he will just stay out here and watch to see who he has to face at Summerslam. So the next cruiserweight match was on which was the Number One Contenders Match. Juventud and Paul London came out firing and where like this the whole match as they both wanted a shot and not just the title, but Kazarian. Coming down to the finish both men were even. They were up on the top rope and Juventud was looking for a Superplex. He sort of hit one, but both men were affected by it and it ended up with both men pinning each other to make it a Draw making Kazarian have to face both men at Summerslam!

The other match that happened on Smackdown! was just a quick squash match. It was a match to see who gets in the 20 Man Battle Royal and everyone knew Lashley was going to win this one. Before the match Coach cut a promo on how Lashley is better then any other superstar in the WWE and will show tonight and then at Summerslam. Lashley didn’t really show anything tonight though as he was up against the easiest guy on the roster, Spike Dudley. Lashley quickly dominated Spike and quickly put him away with the Dominator for the win.

Also during the night, Eddie Guerrero cut a promo from outside of the arena. Eddie said that even though that he can’t come into a WWE arena until the Smackdown! after Summerslam he will be waiting for Taker. Eddie was just standing outside waiting for Taker to appear. All of a sudden, The Undertaker’s gongs hit in the arena with Eddie hearing it perfectly outside the ring. It said on the titantron, “The Undertaker Returns in the Battle Royal at Summerslam!” Eddie Guerrero was pissed and said that The Undertaker was afraid of Eddie and that is why he won’t show up on Smackdown!

Huge Six Man Grudge Match

August 8, 2005

Last week on RAW Batista and Goldberg were given the night off which means they weren’t suppose to appear on RAW, but Batista couldn’t help it. After he got embarssed by Hassan the week before, Batista showed up and beat down Hassan. Then down ran Goldberg to make the save, but this time the Champ was the man standing tall at the end of the brawl.

So tonight on RAW there will be a huge Grudge Match involved with all those names and more. It will be Batista teaming with the two newest problems for the Arab-Americans, European Connection of William Regal and his new protégé, Paul Burchill. They are up to face Goldberg and the Arab-Americans of Daivari and Muhammad Hassan. In this match it will just be a brawl as no one cares who they get their hands on.

Currently there are eight men in the 20 Man Battle Royal from the RAW side. So that means there are two more spots left. Those spots are left up to four people which will be fighting in two one vs. one matches to find out the last two spots. The first match is Christian facing Steven Richards. And the other one is The Boogeyman making his debut to face Simon Dean where Dean tries to get revenge from last week when Boogeyman debuted and scared Dean away.

Who will be the man standing tall tonight? Who will take the last two final spots in the Battle Royal?

Tune into RAW on Spike TV to find out!

Hardy Takes it to the Extreme

Tonight on RAW, after everyone saw the great match between Batista and European Connection against Goldberg and Arab-Americans they thought that RAW was over, but there was man who made RAW end a little later…Matt Hardy. Early in the show, Edge came out with Lita and they cut a short promo. Edge said that he was ready for Matt Hardy at anytime since he could face him whenever Hardy wants. Edge said that he is ready for Hardy now and called him out. Hardy was a no show though and Edge and Lita weren’t happy. Lita then calmed down Edge and told him that he should just wait until Summerslam when he defeats Hardy and then they could make out right in front of him. They then starting making out at this point, but Hardy’s music hit to interrupt them! Edge jumped back and on the titantron just showed different pictures of Hardy looking pissed off. It then read, “He is Here for You!” Edge and Lita were spooked and ran backstage. Then finally, after the Six Man Tag Team Match happened the camera panned backstage and Matt Hardy was shown attacking Edge! They soon came down to the ring and Hardy then got hardcore with this seeming like the match Hardy picked. He got a chair into the action. After a few chair shots it was broken up by ref’s and road agents. Eric Bischoff then came out and on the ramp he had something to say. He said that it was enough and Hardy’s choice in a match at anytime was off, but at Summerslam, Hardy and Edge would fight in a Hardcore Match!

Before all this hardcore action started there was an outstanding Six Man Brawl. Before this match happened though, Muhammad Hassan and Goldberg cut promo’s together. Hassan said that he is sick of stupid Americans (Batista), Canadians (Christian) and Europeans (European Connection) with all their racism on his race. Goldberg then just simply said that Batista was NEXT! Then the war began and both teams were going at it. Goldberg went right after the Champ and the Arab-Americans and European Connection quickly went at it. Hassan and Daivari quickly threw out Regal and Burchill so they can triple team on Batista. The Champ wouldn’t let it happen though and fought off not only Goldberg, but also the Arab-Americans. Late in the match it was still Batista’s team dominating. Christian then came out and distracted Hassan and got him to come out of the ring so both men could brawl. Then Batista nailed Goldberg with a Spear of his own knocking him out of the ring! Now the only man left was the little man, Daivari on Goldberg’s team. Regal quickly hit the Regal Cutter on him followed up with Batista hitting the Batista Bomb. Burchill then finished Daivari off with the C4! Burchill covered and his team won. After the match, Christian won the brawl between himself and Hassan and got in the ring to celebrate with Team Batista.

In the final two 20 Man Battle Royal Qualifying Matches, Christian started the first match of the night off by facing Steven Richards. This match was just ridiculous as Richards didn’t have a chance. Christian just dominated Richards and quickly put him away with the Unprettier to advance to the Battle Royal. The other Qualifying Match was a Match for Simon Dean to try to get revenge on The Boogeyman. Well, Dean didn’t really get any revenge on The Boogeyman, all he got was much more scared of him; Dean was spooked by the enterane of The Boogeyman and everyone knew Dean had no chance after this. The Boogeyman just hit one moved called the Boogey Bounced which is a Pumphandle Slam and Dean was down and out. Boogeyman then took worms from his mouth and spit them in Dean’s mouth to finish up the Qualifying Matches for the RAW side.

Also on RAW, Chris Jericho and John Cena got into a huge altercation backstage. They were about to fight after both men said some unpleasant words, but Eric Bischoff was there and said that it was enough and next week on RAW, the last before Summerslam, that Cena will team with Batista and Matt Hardy to face Jericho who will team with Goldberg and Edge!

In other news with Eric Bischoff, he also made two more matches on RAW next week. World’s Greatest Tag Team who are the Tag Champions, complained that they are definitely better then their opponents at Summerslam, 3 Minute Warning. They said that they are tired of 3MW pushing them around as they are the Champions. So Bischoff said that next week Benjamin will face Rosey and Haas will face Jamal to see who really the better men are.

What’s the Stipulation

August 11, 2005

Last week on Smackdown! Samoa Joe once again took out Shawn Michaels. Now at Summerslam, Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe will team up to face Shawn Michaels and a partner of his choice. Who will HBK pick?

Triple H and Kurt Angle won the Tag Team Match last week against Orton and HBK, but the Champion and Challenger at Summerslam weren’t in the finish. Tonight on Smackdown! the will finish the show off with the huge contract signing for the match at Summerslam. You never know what could go down here at this contract signing.

Back to Samoa Joe, he will be in action this week on Smackdown! as he will go one on one against Shawn Michaels’ partner for Summerslam. HBK will announce his partner and then Joe will square off against him. Let’s see if Joe does the same to his partner as he did to HBK.

The Cruiserweight Champion, Frankie Kazarian is once again putting his Title on the line along with his undefeated record. Tonight he will face Juventud who is one of his opponent’s at Summerslam. Kazarian requested for this match just so he could be ready for both men.

Also, in a 20 Man Battle Royal Qualifying Matches, the last two will happen as 10 guys are set on the RAW side and the Smackdown! side only needs 2 more. The matches are Carlito against Orlando Jordan and Booker T facing Mark Jindrak. All four men want in, but there is only 2 spots left.

What will go down at the contract signing? Who will HBK pick for his partner? Will Kazarian stay Champion along with undefeated? Who will be the last two men in the Battle Royal?

An Old Fashioned Street Fight

Shawn Michaels announcing his tag team partner for Summerslam against Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle wasn’t the only huge thing to take place on Smackdown! Tonight on Smackdown! it was the contract signing of the WWE Heavyweight Title Match between Champion, Randy Orton and Challenger, Triple H. This happened at the end of the night with Teddy Long in the ring calling down both guys. Orton and Triple H were in the ring in their suits sitting down in their chairs. Orton then got on the mic and said that since he is such a great Champion he will be nice and add a stipulation in the match. The Game then didn’t like that, but he was calmed down when Orton said he would be nice and let his opponent pick the stipulation. Triple H then put a sick smile on his face and grabbed the clipboard with the papers. Triple H signed his name and put the stipulation, but didn’t say anything. Orton then took the papers and you could see he was surprised. Orton then signed and then it got hectic, but still only the Champion and the Challenger knew the stipulation. Triple H then took off his suit jacket and nice shirt and he had his own shirt on underneath. He then flipped the table over and a sledgehammer was tapped to the bottom of the table. He got it, but then the Champ slid out of the ring. Triple H then got on the mic and screamed, “See you at Summerslam in the STREET FIGHT!”

The other big part of Smackdown! was the announcing of Shawn Michaels tag team partner for Summerslam. Before HBK announced it, earlier in the show Kurt Angle was in the ring with Samoa Joe and his manager, Paul Heyman. Angle said that he is ready for Summerslam as he and Joe will dominate HBK and whoever his partner is. Paul Heyman then got on the mic and said that Samoa Joe is the best in the business and that no one can stop him. Not on person backstage. All of a sudden Chris Benoit appeared on the titantron. Benoit said that he will show that he can stop Joe anytime anywhere. Heyman then said that he doesn’t have time for Benoit though as he has bigger plans tonight. Then came the time where Joe was ready for the match. HBK came out and told Joe that he would be facing someone he had no idea he was going to. HBK then announced his partner for Summerslam as Chris Benoit! Benoit came running down and the match between him and Joe was on. Both men battled back and forth until the final seconds of the match where Joe took control. On the outside Angle attacked HBK at the end which distracted Benoit. Benoit was trying to go and help and turned his back on Joe so The Machine attacked. Joe nailed Benoit with a Dragon Suplex. He then locked in the Kokina Klutch and then it was over. Joe won again with HBK again getting beat down.

Frankie Kazarian was back in action again as he faced one of his opponents from Summerslam, Juventud. Kazarian got on the mic before the match and said that he requested for this match just so he knows that he can defeated both London and Juvi since he already beat London. Kazarian did what he wanted and that he was defeat Juventud. He didn’t win the right way, but it still counts as a victory. Juvi was really dominating this match the whole time, but coming down to the end of the match Kazarian hit a huge Bulldog on Juvi and he popped up making his head in-between the ropes. Kazarian then got his Cruiserweight Title and nailed it over the head of Juventud without the ref seeing somehow. Kazarian then got back in the ring and rolled up Juvi to get the three count and stay undefeated.

Now onto the final two Qualifying Matches for the Battle Royal. The first one was between Carlito and Orlando Jordan. Carlito spoke before the match and told Jordan that if he won he had to get a title shot at the US Title in the future, but if he loses he can never get a shot at the US Title again as long as Jordan is Champion. Jordan made a mistake here as Carlito dominated and quickly advanced into the Battle Royal by winning with the Cool DDT. After the match Carlito got on the mic again and said that the two will face off again next week with the US Title on the line. The other Qualifying Match was between Booker T and Mark Jindrak. This match was actually pretty even with Jindrak dominating more then expected. But coming down to the end Booker made the turn around and hit Jindrak with the Scissors Kick to make him the last final man in the 20 Man Battle Royal.

6 Days Until Summerslam

August 15, 2005

Last week on RAW Batista team defeated Goldberg team to make Batista the one standing tall two weeks in a row. Now this is the last RAW before Summerslam so now Goldberg is looking to get some revenge heading into Summerslam.

Now tonight on RAW, again there is a huge Six Man Tag Team Match, but this one is even better then last weeks. It will be Batista teaming with John Cena and Matt Hardy to face Goldberg teaming with Chris Jericho and Edge, but in this match it is Cena and Jericho the leaders of each team. Three feuds will spark in this match, but who will be the team standing tall?

Also on the last episode of RAW, Christian and Hassan were involved in a brief brawl with Christian the man standing tall. Now Christian will team with European Connection who also has problems to face the two men of only Muhammad Hassan and Daivari. This gives Christian and European Connection a huge advantage in this match.

Finally at Summerslam, World’s Greatest Tag Team faces 3 Minute Warning with their titles on the line. Tonight on RAW Haas and Benjamin are looking to prove that they are better then 3 Minute Warning early so Shelton Benjamin will face Rosey while Charlie Haas faces Jamal.

What team will be standing tall the last RAW before Summerslam? Will Hassan and Daivari get revenge yet? Can World’s Greatest Tag Team prove they are better then 3 Minute Warning six days early?

Tune into RAW on Spike TV to find out!

Dominated

What a great night it was tonight on RAW which were the last episode before Summerslam. The main event featured another huge Six Man Tag Team Match, but this time involving the teams of Chris Jericho, Edge and Goldberg against Batista, John Cena and Matt Hardy. Before the main event came many people cut promos or were interviewed before the match. The first big thing was Chris Jericho held the Highlight Reel with his two partners for tonight, Edge and Goldberg. Before Jericho called anyone down he talked about himself and his match with Cena. Jericho said that he will put Cena down as he doesn’t even know what a submission move is! Jericho then called down Edge and we heard his thoughts on the Hardcore Match. Edge said he was pretty happy about it as now he doesn’t have to work to hard to kill Hardy, all he needs to do his nail him with a few weapons and he will be done. Jericho then finished the Highlight Reel off by calling out Goldberg. Goldberg talked about his feud so far with Batista and how it will end at Summerslam when he wins the Title. Goldberg then says that win or lose, he has a huge surprise for after the match that will shock the wrestling world once again! Everyone was confused, but then Jericho just said that tonight they will be victorious. Then Matt Hardy and John Cena were both interviewed later on in the night. Hardy talked about Edge and come Summerslam he won’t be able to walk out by himself after the match ends. Hardy then said that tonight he will just show a little preview to what will happen at Summerslam. Then Cena was interviewed and he talked about his match against Jericho. He said that he has been training on how to lock in submissions and break out of them and at Summerslam he will show him something called the STFU! Finally, before the main event Batista was the first man out and he talked about his match against Goldberg. He said that he can really care less on what the surprise is as he will take down anyone else Goldberg has. Batista finished by saying at the end of Summerslam he will still be the World Heavyweight Champion. Then down ran Goldberg and his team and started to beat down Batista on a 3 on 1 attack until Cena and Hardy ran down to start the match. What a wild and crazy brawl this one was. The ref couldn’t do anything to keep it under control. After about 15 minutes of total chaos, the ref got knocked down when Goldberg hit a huge Spear on the Champion Batista into the ref. Hardy then got a steel chair and got in the ring and Edge ran at him. Edge ducked the chair and then dropkicked it into the face of Hardy. In the meantime, Cena and Jericho are just going back and forth on the outside. Then Goldberg finished this match off when he lifted up Hardy and nailed him with a huge Jack Hammer! Edge got the ref up and he counted the three. After the match Jericho got in the ring and he, Edge and Goldberg celebrated their victory to end the final RAW before Summerslam.

A huge match kicked off RAW which no one expected counting the wrestlers in the match. This match was just announced a few minutes before RAW started. That match consisted of four men from the 20 Man Battle Royal at Summerslam. It was Chris Punk and Kane against Chris Masters and Big Show. It was a pretty good match with mainly Punk and Masters going at it to leave the monsters alone and go at it by themselves. Coming down to the finish of this match Masters tried to lock in the Master Lock on Punk on one side of the ring while the ref was paying attention to the two monsters on the other side. Punk didn’t let Masters lock it in though as he back kicked Masters below the belt and then tossed him out of the ring. Big Show then tried to hit Kane with a Chokeslam, but Punk ran over and hit a low blow on Show without the ref knowing. Kane then grabbed Show and he hit a Chokeslam on him. Punk then quickly jumped on the Big Show and the ref counted the three and Chris Punk and Kane won the match. Punk then quickly headed out of the ring just in case Kane was mad that Punk took the fall.

Also going on at RAW tonight, was the Handicap Match between the Intercontinental Champion, Muhammad Hassan teaming with Daivari facing Christian and European Connection. Before the match Muhammad Hassan cut a promo like usual and said that tonight will be the last time he has to go up against racist wrestlers as once he wins tonight, at Summerslam he will win the 20 Man Battle Royal and then win the World Heavyweight Champion so everyone could bow down to him. Christian and European Connection didn’t care what he was saying though and they came down and attacked the Arab-Americans and the Handicap Match was on. Surprisingly, Hassan and Daivari survived and walked out the winners. They were getting dominated the whole match, especially Daivari, as Hassan was supposedly injured the whole match. Hassan then got the ref’s attention and told him to help. At this point, Daivari grabbed Hassan’s Intercontinental Title and got in the ring knocking out all three men! Hassan then all of a sudden got up and got in the ring. He then locked in the Camel Clutch on Christian and he soon tapped out. The Arab-Americans just stole one before Summerslam.

World’s Greatest Tag Team went out on RAW tonight to prove 3 Minute Warning 6 days early that they are better then them. Well, that really didn’t happen as Jamal and Rosey didn’t let it happen. Right when both Benjamin and Haas were both getting into a grove, they got out of the ring and grabbed their title belts. They then got back in and nailed their opponent. The ref had no choice and DQ’d both men. So even though both Benjamin and Haas won both of their matches, they still didn’t prove they are better the 3 Minute Warning.

Chris Jericho, Edge and Goldberg defeated Batista, John Cena and Matt Hardy

Shelton Benjamin defeated Rosey by DQ

3 Days Until Summerslam

August 18, 2005

Last week on Smackdown! we found out what the stipulation is for the match between Randy Orton and Triple H. The Champion, Randy Orton left up the choice of stipulation to Triple H and he wrote down a Street Fight. So now in just three days, Randy Orton will defend his title against Triple H in a Street Fight!

Tonight on Smackdown! Triple H has the night off for wrestling, but that means that he will still be there. He will be at Ric Flair’s side as he takes on the WWE Heavyweight Champion in a Non-Title Match. Orton has the odds against him as Triple H will be in the corner of Flair. This also gives Triple H more rest heading into Summerslam with Orton having a match and him not.

Chris Benoit was announced last week as Shawn Michaels’ partner at Summerslam to face Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe. The show ended with Samoa Joe defeated Benoit. Now tonight on Smackdown!, Chris Benoit will be in action again as he faces Samoa Joe’s partner, Kurt Angle. The big question is that will Samoa Joe make an impact once again tonight?

There will be two titles matches happening tonight on Smackdown! and one of them is Orlando Jordan defending his United States Title against Carlito. This match was announced after there match last week as Carlito defeated Jordan. Jordan is useless without this title so he needs to find a way to win.

The other Title match is the rematch between the new WWE Tag Team Champions who were crowned at Great American Bash, Friendly Freaks against the former Champions, MNM. Freaks already defeated MNM once at the Bash and they look to do it again tonight, but MNM really want there gold back.

Will Triple H get involved in the main event? What will Samoa Joe do next? Can Carlito make it two consecutive wins over Jordan and win the US Title? Will the Friendly Freaks defeat MNM again or will MNM regain their gold?

Tune into Smackdown! on UPN to find out!

Champion Taken Down

Triple H had the night off from Smackdown! just three days before Summerslam, but the WWE Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton was in action facing The Game’s manager, Ric Flair. Before their match came, Triple H and Ric Flair came down to the ring to kick off Smackdown! Triple H got on the mic and said that it has been a long time since he was the Heavyweight Champion. The last time was coming into WrestleMania 21. The Game went on with saying that come Summerslam, he will be back on top as Heavyweight Champion. Flair then took the mic and said that in three days Triple H will defeated Randy Orton. Flair said that The Game might walk out looking like a mess, but it won’t be even close to how bad Orton will look. Flair then went on saying that tonight he will show Orton a preview to what he will look like at the end of Summerslam. Then later on in the night, Randy Orton was interviewed and said that he doesn’t care what Triple H, Ric Flair or anyone else thinks as he knows that even if he looks like a mess, he will walk out of Summerslam still WWE Heavyweight Champion! Finally, it was time for the match and both Flair and Orton were looking really confident, but Orton had to watch out for Triple H who was out oat ringside. But really Orton didn’t have to worry during the match as Triple H just watched the entire match. Randy Orton really dominated this whole match, but it still seemed as if Flair had a chance. Coming down to the finish, it seemed as if Flair was fighting back, but he just ended up doing his classic flop to the mat. Orton then just waited for Flair to get up and when he did, Orton hit the RKO for the victory! Then, after the match, Triple H got in the ring with a sledgehammer and actually did something now. When Orton turned towards him, Triple H decked him with a shot with the sledgehammer. He was busted open badly! Triple H then grabbed the WWE Heavyweight Title and lifted up Orton’s head. He showed the Title in his face and screamed that it was his. The Game then did his signature pose with holding up the Title to end Smackdown!

In other action on Smackdown!, it was another combination of the huge tag team match set for Summerslam. Last week it was Samoa Joe defeated Chris Benoit. Then tonight it was Chris Benoit now facing off against Joe’s partner, Kurt Angle. Before their match though, Angle had a few words to say. Angle said that their match tonight will only involve them two as Joe isn’t here tonight. Then down ran Chris Benoit and the match was on right away as he wasn’t wasting anytime after heard Joe wasn’t here. This was a very good technical match that lasted about fifteen minutes. They exchanged submission after submission and suplex after suplex. Finally when the finish came, Angle was about to put away Benoit. Then down came Shawn Michaels looking to do what Joe has been doing. HBK got on the apron and started to distract Angle. This gave Benoit the chance to recover and locked in the Cripple Crossface after he jumped onto Angle’s back. Angle tried to fight out of it, but it was no use as Benoit wasn’t breaking the hold so Angle just had to tap out. After the match then, Michaels got in the ring and it was a double team on Angle like it was on HBK and Benoit before. Angle was just getting torn apart, but then all of a sudden down ran Joe getting a bunch of heat. Benoit and HBK turned to Joe and he charged looking for a Double Clothesline, but both Benoit and HBK ducked and headed out of the ring and up the ramp waiting until Sunday to go at it.

One of the two titles matches that happened on Smackdown! was Orlando Jordan defending his United States Title against Carlito. This was later in the night, but before the match happened, Carlito held his Cabana with Jordan as his guest. Carlito asked Jordan why he isn’t in the 20 Man Battle Royal or even have a match at Summerslam. Jordan couldn’t even think of anything to answer Carlito. Carlito then asked what the chances are for him retaining the Title tonight. Before Jordan could answer, Carlito cut him off and said, “NONE! Cuz you’re not cool!” Carlito then attacked. The match started with the set-up for the Cabana still in the ring. So during a commercial break when both men were on the outside, the ring crew cleared the ring. After the commercial break it was just Carlito totally dominating the Champion. Soon enough Carlito hit the Cool DDT and then rolled up Jordan. The ref counted three and Carlito was crowned new United States Champion!

The other title match that happened which was earlier in the night was the Friendly Freaks defending against MNM in the rematch from Great American Bash. This match went a little different from the Bash, but the Freaks still did dominate for the most part. Coming down to the finish though, when the Freaks were looking to put away MNM, Melina grabbed the Freaks Tag Team Titles and slid them into the ring for Nitro and Mercury to grab. They both tried to escape from the ring with the belts, but Heidenreich and Morgan cut them off. They tried taking back the belts, but Nitro and Mercury wouldn’t let go. Finally, MNM just nailed the Freaks with the belts and the ref called for the DQ win for the Friendly Freaks so they remained Champions.

Also in action was JBL, who called down anyone from the 20 Man Battle Royal to face him. Down came Mr. Andy Anderson. He did his announcing of JBL’s name and himself and then the match was on. This was actually a very good match as everyone thought it was an easy win for JBL. So finally, the finish came and JBL went for the Clothesline From Hell, but Anderson ducked it. He then hit a Dropkick to him to the back making him bounce of the ropes and coming back to get hit with a huge Lung Blower! Anderson covered and got the surprised three count. Everyone was in shock and then JBL got up and grabbed a mic. JBL said that he has been looking to rebuild The Cabinet and adding Anderson as a member would be great. It didn’t take long for Anderson to agree and so that means there is a new Cabinet of JBL and Mr. Andy Anderson who will be working together at Summerslam.

World Tag Team Titles

World’s Greatest Tag Team © defeated 3 Minute Warning

Summerslam was finally here and it got kicked off with the World Tag Team Title Match from RAW. After 3 Minute Warning returned when Rosey turned on The Hurricane and out came Jamal, they have been dominating the tag scene on RAW. Especially for the past couple of weeks, they have been dominating the Champions of Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. It was finally put up or shut up time for 3MW as they got their title shot and it was shut up for them as Haas and Benjamin worked better together then Jamal and Rosey.

The match started off with the bigger men dominating as Jamal and Rosey had a huge size advantage. They kept on double teaming both men until finally the ref got out Rosey. Jamal was then in the ring with Haas and it was still total domination. Haas kept on trying to reverse things, but Jamal was to powerful and never let Haas get the tag in. Jamal and Rosey tagged in and out back and forth wearing down Haas. Haas finally got a burst of energy though when he nailed Rosey with a Flying Elbow out of nowhere. He then quickly got over to his corner and tagged in Benjamin.

Benjamin was fresh and was on fire. He nailed Jamal and Rosey with to big Forearms. Benjamin was rolling hitting move after move on 3 Minute Warning. Benjamin then surprisingly hit both men one after another with Samoan Drop’s. The crowd was now on their feet and Benjamin went for the T-Bone Suplex on Rosey, but Rosey powered out and tagged in Jamal at this point and 3 Minute Warning once again regained control.

After a few minutes passed and the end was getting closer, once again Benjamin and Haas started fighting back. Haas just tagged back in Benjamin and both Haas and Benjamin attacked 3MW and nailed both men with Flying Forearms. Haas then charged at Rosey again, but Rosey got his foot up and nailed Haas with a Big Boot. But then Rosey walked right into Benjamin who hit him with a huge T-Bone Suplex making the crowd explode out of their chairs. Jamal then got up and turned around to Benjamin and he got trucked with a huge Superkick! Jamal was going to fall back on the mat, but Haas was up and caught Jamal and finished off a combo with an amazing show of strength by hitting a German Suplex! Haas held the bridge somehow and the three was counted. World’s Greatest Tag Team showed they were the greater team tonight and now they were onto something new. But at the moment, there ain’t no stopin’ them now!

HARDCORE MATCH

Edge defeated Matt Hardy by Stoppage from Blood Loss

Ever since Matt Hardy returned to the WWE which was at Vengeance when he helped Kane defeat Edge, he has been out to get revenge on Edge. Two weeks after Vengeance they had a match and it ended with Edge losing by staying out of the ring for the ten count. Then tonight they had their second encounter and Hardy’s plan was to continue seeking revenge on Edge, but that didn’t work tonight as Hardy was the one busted open badly and making the ref call the match because of so much blood loss.

The match got kicked off with Edge tossing a chair into the ring. Hardy picked it up though before Edge got in. Edge was a bit intimidated, but got in the ring. Hardy dropped the chair and attacked. Both men started punching back and forth until finally Edge got Hardy into the corner. Edge got onto the second rope and started punching away. He hit punch after punch after punch until he got up to 8, then Hardy lifted Edge up all the way and hit a huge Powerbomb onto the chair! Hardy then got hardcore early as he got out of the ring and slid in two tables, a ladder and a couple of chairs.

A few minutes later Hardy was surprisingly busted open as Edge came back in the action after Hardy got all of the weapons. After a few chair shots by Edge on Hardy, Edge dropped the chair and nailed Hardy with the Edgecution onto the chair! This busted Hardy open even more and now he was bleeding buckets of blood. Edge then set the table up in the corner and waited until Hardy got up. Edge charged at Hardy when he did get up and nailed a Spear through Hardy through the table! Edge then covered Hardy, but at 2 he got off of Hardy and wouldn’t stop. The ref kept asking Hardy if he wanted to keep on going and Hardy just wouldn’t give up.

Edge then set a chair underneath the head of Hardy and grabbed another one. Edge started climbing up the ladder with a chair in his hands. Once he was near the top he jumped off swinging the chair. The chair impacted onto Hardy’s head hitting him with a Super Conchairto! It was now the end for Hardy. Edge then just kept on punching away at Hardy’s open wounds on his head until the ref had enough and called for the bell.

Hardy came up well short of defeating Edge as it just wasn’t his night. Hardy just bled throughout the whole match right when the weapons got into play. It was a long and painful night for Hardy, but he was pissed off as the ref ended the match because of blood loss because he could feel a victory was on the way.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH

WWE Cruiserweight Title

Frankie Kazarian © defeated Juventud and Paul London

Paul London finally got another chance against Frankie Kazarian for the Cruiserweight Title whereas he didn’t face him since he lost the gold at the Great American Bash. Juventud also made an impact in the match, but it wasn’t big enough. With London, he came so close and he had the gold in his hands at one point, but that was before the match ended.

The bell rung and London and Juventud turned to each other and then both smiled. They then ran at Kazarian and attacked! It was a 2 on 1 beat down for the most part of the start of the match. London and Juvi were just going back and forth hitting moves on Kazarian. Finally, Juvi turned on London though after he got pissed as London didn’t let Juvi get a move in on Kazarian.

So at this point, Kazarian was taking a long breather on the ground in the corner while Juvi and London went at it. After Juvi hit a Dropkick on London he went for the Juvi Driver, but London reversed it with a rollup with coming up just short of winning the belt back. London then took Juvi to the outside after he hit a Dropkick on Juvi to the outside. London then flew to the outside taking down Juvi with a Flying Crossbody over the ropes.

As the match moved on, Kazarian got in control soon enough. All three men were back outside of the ring and as a matter of fact, Kazarian and London were working together. Kazarian and London threw Juvi into the barricade, steel steps and pole. London then finally attacked Kazarian and lifted him up and dropped him on the barricade. He then took Juvi into the ring so he could try and finish him off. London hit Juvi with a Dropsault and then headed up high!

All of a sudden though the Cruiserweight Title got slid in the ring by Kazarian, but London didn’t know who it was as Kazarian hid underneath the ring after he slid it in. London first jumped off of the turnbuckle nailing Juvi with the 450 Splash! But for some reason London didn’t cover Juvi! Instead, London crawled his way over to the title. He wrapped it around his arms and stared down at it. He screamed that he was going to win the belt, but at this point Kazarian snuck back in the ring! Kazarian ran up and nailed the title belt back into London’s face with a Baseball Slide/Dropkick! The ref didn’t call for the DQ as he shouldn’t since that is allowed. Well, then Kazarian lifted up London and hit the Wave of the Future! Kazarian then rolled up London and won the match staying Cruiserweight Champion and undefeated making his record to 7-0! London was so close from winning back the gold, but the mistake to not cover Juvi cost him the match.

Cena Says STFU

SUBMISSION MATCH

John Cena defeated Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho was out to get Cena and his WWE Heavyweight Title ever since Vengeance, but Cena lost the Title to Orton and he headed to Smackdown! Now Jericho has just been out to get Cena himself. After both men attacking each other week after week on RAW, Jericho was able to pick the stipulation for a match at Summerslam between the two. Jericho picked a Submission Match thinking Cena has no experience, but Jericho thought wrong as he was the one to tap out.

The match started with a long staredown and then Jericho was the first to attack. Jericho quickly grounded Cena with a few punches along with clubs to the back. Jericho tried to lock in many different submissions at this point, but Cena kept on squirming out of them and rolling away. Jericho finally had enough of Cena’s rolling and stopped on his head three times! Jericho then bounced off the ropes and him with a huge kick to the gut! Jericho then got on the second rope and jumped off hitting Cena with a Double Stomp.

Jericho had Cena on the mat where he wanted him. He went and locked in an early Walls of Jericho, but Cena was right near the ropes and was able to grab the rope. Cena then popped up and got in Jericho’s face. Both men exchanged punches, but Cena was the man standing tall in the ring after he knocked Jericho out of the ring. Cena then climbed up the turnbuckle and jumped to the outside nailing Jericho with a Flying Clothesline! The crowd was shocked to see Cena put his body on the line like that, but he wanted a win.

The match moved on and back into the ring with both men getting tired with each man keep on trying to lock in submissions. Halfway through the match Cena hit Jericho with a Back Body Slam and then pumped up his shoes. He bounced off the ropes and brushed the dirt off his shoulder and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle! Cena then quickly got to the ground and locked in his new submission, STFU! Jericho was screaming in pain, but he was able to reach out and grab the ropes.

Finally, the finish was getting closer and Cena was still in control. Cena tossed Jericho into the ropes and he came back getting decked with a huge Forearm by Cena. Cena then waited for Jericho to get up and when he did, Cena lifted up Jericho and hit the FU! Cena then went and took Jericho’s submission move and locked in the Walls of Jericho! He had Jericho in the middle of the ring and Jericho couldn’t go anywhere. After a minute past, Jericho finally was close enough to grab the ropes and break the hold. Jericho then nipped up and starting fighting back.

Jericho quickly got Cena to the corner and lifted him up. He then nailed Cena with a Super Back Suplex! Jericho had a smile on his face and ran to the ropes and hoped up bouncing off the second ropes flipping backwards nailing the Lionsault on Cena. Jericho then made it like the end was here and went to lock in the Walls of Jericho. Then all of a sudden, Cena slid through Jericho’s legs though and tripped up Jericho! Cena then once again locked in the STFU right in the middle of the ring. Jericho couldn’t crawl around anywhere as it was a move to move in. Finally, after it was held in over a minute Jericho had no choice, but to tap to give John Cena the huge and surprising victory.

After the match Cena celebrated on the turnbuckles, but Jericho got up and hit Cena with another Super Back Suplex! Jericho then locked in the Walls of Jericho this time and got Cena to tap, but that didn’t mean anything as the match was already over. Jericho didn’t care though as you could tell this feud wasn’t over.

TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCH

Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe defeated Chris Benoit and Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels was set to face Kurt Angle in their third match of 2005 and their final single’s match at the Great American Bash. HBK had the match won until Samoa Joe debuted with Paul Heyman on the side of Kurt Angle. Ever since then, HBK has been getting attacked by The Machine. Finally, tonight HBK had a chance to get back at Joe with Chris Benoit on his side, but that plan didn’t work. Samoa Joe still took down Chris Benoit and especially Shawn Michaels in a surprisingly pretty quick match, but HBK clearly stated that even though he got beaten, he has some unfinished business with Joe still left to handle.

The bell rung and all four men were in the ring. Angle exited the ring and then Benoit and Michaels smartly attacked Joe at the same time. The only problem was that it was no match for Joe as he just tossed both guys right off of him. HBK then left the ring and it was up to Benoit to weaken down Joe. Benoit didn’t do a good job at all though trying to tire down Joe as Joe just got Benoit tired and hurt.

When Michaels was tagged into the match the crowd was on fire, but Joe shut them up when he totally dominated HBK. Joe then had enough fun at this point and tagged in his partner. Angle charged into the ring and it was the other way around now. It was now time for HBK and Benoit to fight back. Michaels and Benoit worked well tagging together at this point with both men hitting double team moves and keep on tagging each other in and out.

It got serious when Benoit stayed in for a while against Angle. They kept on trying to lock in submissions on each other, but Benoit got the upper hand when he quickly hit a German Suplex out of nowhere. This got Benoit rolling and then hit the German Suplex and hold it three times! Benoit then went up high and connected with the huge Flying Headbutt. He covered Angle, but he was just able to kick out. At this point, Angle kicked Benoit away and tagged Joe back in. The crowd chanted for HBK to be tagged in and Joe let Benoit do it.

After Joe and Michaels battled back and forth for a few minutes, HBK was able to gain advantage when Angle tried to Michaels with a Dropkick out of nowhere, but HBK ducked and Angle hit Joe. This then got Benoit going back after Angle and they took their business to the outside. In the ring HBK was rolling getting the crowd pumped. Everything was shut down though when Joe nailed Michaels with a huge Clothesline out of nowhere. Both men were down and breathing heavily. All of a sudden, HBK nipped up!

Michaels was on his feet punching away and Joe. Joe was then thrown to the ropes and came back getting lifted up and thrown down with a Hip Toss. Michaels got in the corner and started stomping his foot for the Sweet Chin Music. Joe got up and turned around, but before Michaels could hit it, Joe charged at HBK first and hit Michaels with a HUGE kick to the face! Joe then lifted up Michaels and placed him on the turnbuckle. He lifted him up in the air and spun him around in circles while Angle and Benoit were still going at it in the ring. Joe finally dropped to the ground with HBK hitting a huge Muscle Buster! Joe covered Michaels and picked up the victory for him and Angle.

After the match Benoit got in the ring and aided HBK while Angle and Joe headed up the ramp. Michaels then got to his knees alone and was pissed off. He then pointed at Joe and you can tell that it was over between the two of them, but it was just getting started.

Hardy Returns To Get A Title Shot

20 MAN INTERPROMOTIONAL BATTLE ROYAL

Number One Contender’s Match for the World or WWE Heavyweight Title

Matt Hardy defeated 19 Other Men

The first 19 men entered in this 20 Man Battle Royal thinking that Matt Hardy wouldn’t show after he got annihilated earlier tonight by Edge, but everyone thought wrong. Right as the bell rung, Hardy’s music hit and he charged down to the ring. After getting beaten badly earlier, he came back and earned himself a shot at the World or WWE Heavyweight Title after he last eliminated both Kane and Undertaker.

This Battle Royal began with Hardy sliding in the ring and everyone attacking him. The action soon moved over to the big men who were Big Show, Kane, Undertaker, and Samoa Joe. The rest of the men in the match tried to throw over these guys, but they weren’t leaving the ring just yet.

After a couple of minutes passed, the first elimination came. The Boogeyman was scaring people all over the place, but one man, Carlito, wasn’t scared of him at this point as he grabbed his stick that he comes down to the ring with. Carlito then snuck up behind Boogeyman and nailed him with the stick making The Boogeyman fly over the top rope and to make him the first man to be eliminated.

Elimination #1: The Boogeyman by Carlito

After The Boogeyman got eliminated by Carlito, Carlito smiled and you can see him say, “Now dats cool!” Carlito then went and threw Boogeyman’s stick to the outside right at Boogeyman. Carlito wasn’t paying any attention to the match at all and when he turned back around, Big Show charged at him making him fly out of the ring after he got hit with a huge Big Boot to make Carlito the second man eliminated.

Elimination #2: Carlito by Big Show

Big Show turned back towards the ring and was ready for someone else, but Big Show didn’t do anything as he just stood still. He was standing there a bit scared as someone was behind him. That man was The Boogeyman who got worms all over Show. Big Show was totally distracted and then Undertaker and Kane snuck up behind Show and lifted his legs up flipping him over the top rope and out of the ring to be eliminated because of The Boogeyman’s distraction.

Elimination #3: Big Show by Kane and Undertaker

Kane and Undertaker stayed teaming together and took out everyone left in the match. They were the only two men standing with everyone else down on the mat. Taker and Kane then faced each other, but before they could go at it, everyone else got up and jumped in and attacked both men. In this attack, Booker T and Christian bumped into each other starting something between the two.

Booker T backed Christian into the corner and was totally dominating him. Booker then went for the Scissors Kick on Christian, but he moved out of the way. Christian then stood up straight and nailed Booker T with a Superkick making him fly over the ropes to make him the next man eliminated.

Elimination #4: Booker T by Christian

Booker T got to his feet and he was pissed off about being eliminated. Booker then got back on the apron and called over Christian. He charged over, but fell for Booker’s plan and he got Suplexed over the top rope to get cheaply eliminated by Booker T who was just eliminated.

Elimination #5: Christian by Booker T

At this point in the match, JBL and his newest member of The Cabinet, Mr. Andy Anderson, made a union with Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe. They took down everyone in the match except for the Brothers of Destruction. Again, Kane and Undertaker worked together as a unit. They both hit Joe and Angle with a Chokeslam. Then Mr. Andy Anderson charged at Kane with JBL charging at Undertaker. Both Kane and Taker ducked and flipped Anderson and JBL out of the ring with Anderson landing on the outside just a split second before JBL, but it didn’t matter as both men were still eliminated.

Elimination #6: Mr. Andy Anderson by Kane

Elimination #7: John Bradshaw Layfield by Undertaker

Finally HBK got kicked in this match, but he wasn’t able to eliminate anyone just yet. All he did was go right after Joe and actually took him down. He was beating down Joe until Kurt Angle came over and helped Joe out. It was then a double team on Michaels until Benoit could make the save. It was again like the Tag Team Match just like what happened earlier.

In the meantime, the late entry of Matt Hardy was about to be put down with the Dominator by Lashley, but Hardy didn’t let it happen as he nailed Lashley with a low blow out of a nowhere. Hardy then backed up and ran at Lashley hitting him with a Clothesline to make him the next man eliminated.

Elimination #8: Bobby Lashley by Matt Hardy

From here, Samoa Joe ran wild, but not on everyone, only on the Chris’ in the match, but it was purposely, it was all just a coincidence. First Joe went after Chris Punk and Chris Masters. Punk and Masters were trying to throw each other over, but Joe just decided to eliminate both men as he threw both Punk and Masters over the top rope. This got Punk and Masters pissed, but they just blamed each other.

Elimination #9: Chris Masters by Samoa Joe

Elimination #10: Chris Punk by Samoa Joe

Chris Jericho then ran off of Cena so he could try to catch Joe off guard and eliminate him. Benoit also did the same thing. Joe though turned around and just ducked down flipping both Jericho and Benoit out of the ring to eliminate the rest of the Chris’ in the match.

Elimination #11: Chris Benoit by Samoa Joe

Elimination #12: Chris Jericho by Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe just totally took care of business there. Now there were only eight guys left. Shawn Michaels made it six here as he just totally shocked everyone. Joe turned around and HBK came at him and nailed him with the Sweet Chin Music! Joe was teetering back about to be eliminated. Kurt Angle then ran over to try and help Joe, but he just hurt himself. HBK then just ran up and hit a Dropkick on both men. This made both Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle flip over the ropes for both men to be eliminated. After the found they were done, they were really pissed at Michaels as he just got lucky.

Elimination #13: Samoa Joe by Shawn Michaels

Elimination #14: Kurt Angle by Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels was really rolling at this point until John Cena finally did something big in this match and knocked HBK down and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle. It was now Cena’s turn in this match. Hassan came charging at Cena, but got lifted up and got hit with the FU. Hardy then ran at Cena, but also got hit with the FU along with HBK. Cena then amazingly got Kane up and hit him with the FU! Cena tried to hit it to the only person left standing, Undertaker. He got Taker up, but Taker reversed it by getting back to his feet and lifted Cena up. Taker then just threw Cena out of the ring to get him eliminated.

Elimination #15: John Cena by Undertaker

After Cena got eliminated, Muhammad Hassan tried to take charge. That totally didn’t work for him though as everyone just went after him. After a long beat down, Kane lifted Hassan up and just tossed him right out of the ring.

Elimination #16: Muhammad Hassan by Kane

Now there were only four men left. They were Matt Hardy, Shawn Michaels, Kane, and Undertaker. It was basically like a Tornado Tag Team Match with Kane and Undertaker still working together against HBK and Hardy. The Brothers of Destruction totally dominated at this point, but they weren’t able to throw over either Hardy or HBK.

Then Hardy and HBK started to battle back and got the Brothers of Destruction off their heels. Hardy and HBK were really rolling, until Hardy turned on HBK and threw him right towards Kane and Undertaker. They both grabbed Michaels by the throat. They lifted him up for a Chokeslam and just threw him out of the ring with it to only make the Battle Royal remain with three men.

Elimination #17: Shawn Michaels by Kane and Undertaker

It was only down to Kane, Undertaker and Matt Hardy, but the Brothers of Destruction just forgot about Hardy and went at it themselves. Shortly after a brawl, Kane grabbed Taker by the throat, but then Taker grabbed back making them break up the holds. They then tried to eliminate to other person over the ropes nearest to the ramp as Hardy just looked on. Kane and Taker were battling back and forth to see who can eliminate who. Then all of a sudden Eddie Guerrero’s music hit, but Eddie was nowhere to be found. Taker was distracted and was about to get eliminated. Then ran over Hardy and totally shocked everyone by throwing over both Undertaker along with tossing Kane out of the ring

Elimination #18: Undertaker by Matt Hardy

Elimination #19: Kane by Matt Hardy

Hardy did it! He did the unthinkable! After getting destroyed by Edge earlier in the night totally messing up the right side of his face, Hardy battled back and bandaged up his face and still competed in the Battle Royal. Not only compete in it, but win it and that means he gets a shot at the World or WWE Heavyweight Title!

World Heavyweight Title

Batista © defeated Goldberg

Goldberg returned at Vengeance to help out Muhammad Hassan win the Intercontinental Title. Goldberg then moved on into the World Title picture and got his shot against Batista after he defeated Kane and Big Show. Goldberg has been destroying Batista for the last couple weeks, but getting closer to Summerslam, Batista got in control. And tonight, Batista was in control as he was able to retain his World Heavyweight Title. But after the match, Goldberg revealed his surprise and he was the one to last laugh.

The match began with a long intense staredown between the two men. It ended when Goldberg ran to Batista and attacked. They started punching away back and forth until Goldberg got Batista into the corner and was drilling his shoulder into Batista’s gut. The Animal fought back though and turned things around by getting Goldberg into the corner. After both men got out of the corner, Batista threw Goldberg into the ropes and then lifted him up and slammed him down with a huge Spinebuster when he came charging back. Batista was totally dominating now with Goldberg down.

Batista then picked Goldberg up and lifted him up in the air, bench pressing him. What strength Batista showed right here. Batista then waited until Goldberg got up after he dropped him and when he did, The Animal charged and hit Goldberg with a huge Spear! Batista was now acting like Goldberg, mimicking him. Batista then lifted up Goldberg and went for the Jack Hammer, but he wouldn’t let the Champ lift him up as he fought out of it and nailed Batista with his signature Side Superkick making Batista and himself fall to the mat.

Halfway through the match, Goldberg was now in control and was lifting up Batista after he hit him with a Big Boot. Goldberg then took Batista by the head and spun him around and then tossed him out of the ring. Goldberg didn’t take to long to get out of the ring and stay on top of Batista. Goldberg picked up the Champ and tossed him into the steel steps. Batista was just getting man-handled. Goldberg then lifted up Batista in a Suplex position, but then dropped him so his ribs crashed down right onto the barricade.

The match continued with Goldberg staying in control until the match was coming to an end and Batista started battling back. Batista just hit Goldberg with another Spinebuster and then was lifting him up. The Animal was going for a Stalling Suplex, but Goldberg once again got out of this and hit Batista with a huge DDT!

Goldberg then was stalking Batista waiting for him to get up. Right when Batista got up, Goldberg charged at him and almost broke the Champ in half with a huge Spear! Goldberg wasn’t done yet thought with Batista as again he waited until Batista got up. When he did get up, Goldberg charged again and went for another Spear, but Batista dodged it and Goldberg crashed into the turnbuckle! Goldberg came out of the corner and walked right into Batista who lifted him up and amazingly hit Goldberg with the Batista Bomb! Batista covered Goldberg and won the match.

Batista won the match, but Goldberg wasn’t done with him yet, as he was just getting started as after this match, Goldberg revealed his surprise.

nWo is BACK

IPB Image

nWo Promo

Goldberg rolled out of the ring with Batista celebrating in the ring. All of a sudden some static came on the sound system and everyone was really confused. Then everyone heard after the static, N…………W…………O!!! The crowd went crazy as they were shocked. JR also went crazy screaming that they can’t be back. Then, all of a sudden the nWo music started and out walked Kevin Nash and Scott Hall! Goldberg got on the mic and said, “Everyone! Welcome back Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Nash and Hall with me will be forming the newest version of the NEW WORLD ORDER!!!”

The nWo got in the ring and Hall got on the mic. He said his classic, “Hey yo,” and then went on saying that the nWo is back and is looking to take out the whole RAW Roster. Nash then got on the mic and said that it is bad news for RAW as the nWo will dominate the whole show! Goldberg got back on the mic and told Batista the he is the first man they are going after so he is still NEXT!

Goldberg then charged at Batista and nailed him with a Spear! Hall then picked up Batista and hit the Outsider’s Edge on the Champion. It was then Nash’s turn who hit the Jack Knife on The Animal! Goldberg then finished off Batista with the Jack Hammer! The nWo then turned Batista over and Goldberg and Nash held The Animal still. Hall then got out the black spray paint and sprayed nWo on Batista’s back stating that a new nWo is back!

Orton Leaves a Mess and Still Champion

STREET FIGHT

WWE Heavyweight Title

Randy Orton © defeated Triple H

Randy Orton and Triple H have been through a lot in their past history dating all the way back to the Evolution days. Once Evolution turned on Orton, he was never able to defeat Triple H in a one on one match. Well now, Orton was the Champion again and it was time for things to change. But this wasn’t it for Orton in the night because after this match there was some bad, bad news for Orton to come.

The bell rand and Orton and The Game just held a long staredown. They didn’t look away for a second with both men just getting closer and closer to each other. Finally, they locked up and the match has really begun. Triple H got off to the better start in this match as he got Orton to the mat first. Once The Game got Orton on the mat, he just started punching away at the Champion. Triple H then got up and bounced off the ropes and jumped up making his knee crash down right onto Orton’s face. Triple H then rolled out of the ring and grabbed the weapon he loved most, the sledgehammer.

Triple H got back in the ring with the sledgehammer and was looking to use a weapon early on in this Street Fight, but Orton didn’t even let The Game take a swing as when Orton got up, he took Triple H to the outside after a big Dropkick. When Triple H got to his feet on the outside, Orton jumped over the ropes and hit The Game with a Flying Crossbody to the outside! Orton then grabbed his WWE Heavyweight Title and ran at Triple H when he got up wit it, but Triple H ducked and came back giving Orton a knee to the face making him fall along with his title. Triple H then grabbed the sledgehammer from the ring. When Orton got up, Triple H nailed him with the sledgehammer, busting him open, but Orton didn’t fall. The Game then hit Orton with it twice more to finally make Orton fall making his laceration deep!

In the middle of the match Triple H was still dominating and just finding ways to make Orton bleed even more. Triple H was throwing Orton into the barricade, apron, steel steps, and steel pole, everything Triple H could possibly think of. The Game then threw off the top of the Spanish Announcer’s Table and took one of the electrical boxes. When Orton got up, The Game smashed it over the Champions head making sparks fly everywhere. The Game then tried numerous pinfall attempts, but Orton wouldn’t stop kicked out. Finally, when Orton got up, everyone saw his face and it was full of blood as you can barley see any skin on his face.

Coming down to the final minutes of the match, amazingly, Triple H was still dominating. The Game now rolled Orton on the Spanish Announcer’s Table. He was looking to hit Orton with the Pedigree through the table, but Orton reversed it and incredibly flipped Triple H off of the Spanish Announcer’s Table only to crash through the Smackdown! Announcer’s Table! Everyone was shocked when they saw this as no one saw it coming!

Orton then got off of the table and went to lift up The Game. The thing Orton didn’t know though was that Triple H picked up a chair while getting lifted up. Triple H then turned around and cracked the chair over the skull of Orton making him fly back on the Spanish Announcer’s Table. Triple H then got on and lifted Orton up. This time Orton got hit with the Pedigree as both men went crashing through the table! Triple H needed to cover Orton, but was to hurt to even roll over and cover him

Triple H finally rolled over and got the cover, but it was to long of a wait and Orton kicked out. So Triple H got up and took Orton back in the ring. Triple H went to hit a second Pedigree, but Orton reversed it with an amazing RKO! Orton then quickly rolled up The Game and the ref slapped the mat for a third time making Orton win the match retaining the title even though he looked like a total mess.

After the match, Triple H rolled out of the ring and the bloodied Orton was handed the belt to him. Orton wrapped it from his shoulder to his body and fans were about to clear there seats to leave. But all of a sudden Edge’s music hit and out came Edge on the ramp with a mic! He told everyone that they shouldn’t leave yet as there is one more match. Edge said that there is no more Money in the Bank suitcase as he handed it to Vince backstage as he is Cashing in right now!

MONEY IN THE BANK CASH IN MATCH

WWE Heavyweight Title

Edge defeated Randy Orton ©

At WrestleMania 21, Edge defeated five other RAW Superstars to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. This let Edge to get a World or WWE Heavyweight Title Match at anytime up until WrestleMania 22. Well, that match paid off as tonight he cashed it in and defeated the battered and bloody Randy Orton to become the new WWE Heavyweight Champion!

Edge slid in the ring and jumped on and attacked Orton. Edge then got up and hit a nice Dropkick on Orton. Edge then just waited until Orton got up and ran at him when Orton did and almost broke the Champion in half with a huge Spear! Edge then covered, but amazingly, Orton kicked out! Edge was pissed, but still picked Orton up and went for the Edgecution. Orton reversed it though and somehow hit an RKO on Edge!

Orton then rolled over and covered Edge, but he was able to kick out. Orton then got up and picked Edge up. Orton then threw Edge into the ropes, but Edge came back and hit another Spear out of nowhere. Edge then rolled Orton back up and this time the ref counted three to make Edge the new WWE Heavyweight Champion! So after winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 21, five months later, that match paid off as Edge walked out of Summerslam amazingly, new WWE Heavyweight Champion!

Edge’s Thoughts on Summerslam

August 22, 2005

Last night at Summerslam a ton of events occurred. First, World’s Greatest Tag Team showed they were the greatest as they finally defeated 3 Minute Warning. Then Matt Hardy got destroyed by Edge in a Hardcore Match. Next was John Cena making Chris Jericho tap out to his new submission, the STFU. The 20 Man Battle Royal rolled along and amazingly, Matt Hardy was able to compete and wound up winning the whole thing. Batista then retained his World Heavyweight Title against Goldberg, but after the match out came Kevin Nash and Scott Hall making the newest nWo of them two and Goldberg. The night then finished off with Edge cashing in his Money in the Bank Contract to face Smackdown! Champion, Randy Orton after defeating Triple H. Edge won the Title and bring the belt on RAW once again.

Once again, RAW has the two main Titles in the company. Edge has stated that he has some thoughts about the Summerslam and his match and then how he decided to cash in his Money in the Bank Contract.

Also on RAW, Batista will be in the ring addressing now and announcing a surprise that he has for Goldberg and the nWo. Now Goldberg might be a bit scared after Nash and Hall returning was huge, what can be even bigger?

With the action on RAW tonight, Chris Jericho and John Cena will be going at it again just like at Summerslam, but the thing is both men will have to find a tag team partner to also be involved in the match. Jericho lost to Cena at Summerslam in his own game, so he will be wanting to get revenge.

And, tonight marks the start of the Television Title Tournament. The brackets look like this:

Rey Mysterio vs. Maven

Chris Punk vs. Simon Dean

Chris Masters vs. Snitsky

Hurricane vs. Psicosis

Shelton Benjamin vs. Kid Kash

Charlie Haas vs. Rob Conway

William Regal vs. Paul Burchill

Muhammad Hassan vs. Eugene

The second half of the bracket will be happening tonight with the other four matches happening next week.

What will Edge have to say about Summerslam? What is Batista’s big surprise? Who will Jericho and Cena find for a partner? Who will get of to a good start in the Television Title Tournament?

Tune into RAW on Spike TV to find out!

The Rock Returns

This night could be another night that goes down in the wrestling history books with Batista’s huge surprise. Early in the night Goldberg came out calling down Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. They talked about the nWo returning and showed the footage from last night taking out Batista. They then went on saying that it doesn’t matter who the surprise is that Batista has as no matter what nWo will be ruling once again. Goldberg then called down Batista so he can introduce his surprise now, but Batista was a no show until on the titantron was Batista who was backstage. Batista said that he wasn’t stupid as he wouldn’t come down with a 3 on 1, but later tonight he will be alone calling down his surprise and then calling down nWo to see who is shocked. Finally, the time came as RAW was coming to an end. Batista came down to the ring and got on the mic. He said that once he announces who the surprise is the crowd along with the nWo won’t believe who it is. Before Batista could call down the surprise, out came the nWo again and they got in the ring. Goldberg took the mic from Batista and told him to hurry up as time was running out. Batista then said, “My surprise is a native from here! Miami, Florida! The Great One! The Brahma Bull! The People’s Champion! The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment! My Surprise is……THE ROCK!!!” nWo and the crowd went nuts! Then The Rock’s theme hit and the nWo turned towards the ramp. But the thing was The Rock was nowhere to be found. Then from the crowd, The Rock came running and got in the ring. Batista took of his suit jacket and dress shirt. nWo then turned around and saw The Rock and Batista ready for a fight. They went back and forth with punches, but The Rock and Batista fought them off. The Rock went for a Rock Bottom on Goldberg, but Nash and Hall was able to distract The Rock to get Goldberg out of the ring to scare the nWo to end RAW for this week.

At Summerslam Edge defeated Matt Hardy in a Hardcore Match as Edge really annihilated Hardy. The night wasn’t over for Edge or Hardy. Hardy came back a few matches later in the 20 Man Battle Royal and somehow defeated the 19 Other Men to become Number One Contender of either the WWE or World Heavyweight Title even with being bandaged up. Edge then defeated the WWE Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton as Edge Cashed in his Money in the Bank Contract as he is now WWE Heavyweight Champion and so once again there are the two main titles on RAW. This problem was solved though as Edge came out to the ring to start the show off. Edge held a celebration as he has finally captured his dream to become the WWE Heavyweight Champion. Edge and Lita held a long French Kiss before Edge’s Speech got underway. Finally, Edge got on the mic and started off by saying he is the new WWE Heavyweight Champion so he will do what he wants, when he wants as he makes the rules. He said that he will now be known as the Rated R Superstar! Edge then went on talking about WrestleMania 21. He said that winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match actually paid off. Then the talking went to last night at Summerslam. The Rated R Superstar said that he may have made Hardy bleed profusely, but he doesn’t care. He then said that Hardy may have came back and won the 20 Man Battle Royal, but he doesn’t care about that either. The only thing he cares about as he shocked the world on Cashing in his contract and defeated Smackdown! Superstar, Randy Orton to win the WWE Heavyweight Title. Edge said that since he defeated a Smackdown! Superstar and took the WWE Heavyweight Title to Smackdown!, he is ditching RAW with Lita and heading over to Smackdown! with his WWE Heavyweight Title so he doesn’t have to worry about Matt Hardy or any other problems he has on RAW. Edge was about to head out of the ring until Matt Hardy’s music hit! Edge jumped back and Hardy came running down the ramp. He slid in the ring, but Edge just charged right at him and decked him with his Title. Edge and Lita then got out of the ring and ran to the parking lot straight away. Then jumped in their car and drove off as Hardy was still down and out in the ring not knowing Edge was gone.

Besides these two huge happenings, there was still a lot of action going on tonight on RAW. The Main Event Match was set for Chris Jericho and a partner of his choice against John Cena and a partner of his choice. Jericho held the Highlight Reel and said that he will be talking with his partner along with John Cena and his partner. So first, Jericho called out his partner who was a Superstar not on the RAW Roster. His partner is Booker T from Smackdown! who is now officially on RAW! Before Jericho could ask any questions on Booker T, out came running Christian who wanted revenge as Booker T eliminated him from the Battle Royal after he was already out. Christian attacked Booker T, but down ran Cena and broke it up with Jericho. Cena said that he had decided who his partner was and it is Christian. So then later in the night, it was time for the match and it was a very even bout. Jericho and Cena went at it non-stop along with Booker T and Christian. The ref couldn’t control any man whatsoever. Coming down to the finish of the match Booker T and Christian were going at it evenly on the outside with Cena dominating Jericho in the ring. Cena went and hit the FU on Jericho and all he had to do was pin Jericho for the win. Instead, Cena wanted to make Jericho tap again so he went to lock in the STFU, but Jericho rolled through it and got Cena on the ground somehow and locked in the Walls of Jericho. Cena was struggling to get to the ropes and amazingly tapped out to give Jericho and Booker T the win. Last night Cena made Jericho tap out and one night later, Jericho made Cena tap out.

Also on RAW was the start of the 16 Man Television Title Tournament. The first two matches to happen involved the World’s Greatest Tag Team who are the World Tag Team Champions. Charlie Haas was set to face Rob Conway and Shelton Benjamin to face the newcomer, Kid Kash. Both Haas and Benjamin got upset for one reason and the same reason. 3 Minute Warning were still pissed off from last night as they lost there shot at becoming the World Tag Team Champions. So Jamal and Rosey distracted Haas and Benjamin to make both men come up with a loss. Also a mention, Conway debuted his new gimmick which was a basic arrogant wrestler. This means that Rob Conway will face Kid Kash in the second round of the tournament.

Staying on topic with the tournament, the other two matches were between the tag team of European Connection of William Regal and Paul Burchill with the other being Muhammad Hassan against Eugene. Hassan showed why he was still undefeated in the WWE as he totally destroyed Eugene and quickly made him tap out to the Camel Clutch. Hassan wants to become the TV Champ badly so he could be both TV and IC Champion. The other match was no doubt the match of the night just counting the tournament matches. Burchill really impressed everyone including Regal. Burchill showed that he was just plain better then Regal tonight and deserved to move on into the second round to face Muhammad Hassan. The match finished with Burchill hitting the C4 for the victory and the match followed up with a handshake knowing that Burchill and Regal will still be together.

This wasn’t it for the night though, as Kane and Big Show had a backstage altercation. Ever since Show came to RAW he has been having problems with Kane and he got to even more problems tonight. Kane accidentally turned the corner and bumped into the 500 Pound, Big Show. Big Show wasn’t happy at the time and pushed Kane into the wall. Big Show said that he wants to finish off Kane once and for all and told him at Unforgiven that he wants one final match with him. Kane wasn’t hesitant to reply as he agreed with Big Show so this announced the first match for the next RAW Pay-Per-View. After Big Show walked away from Kane he went to turn into the locker room, but it was pitch black. Then a candle came on behind Big Show and all you heard was, “I am The BOOGEYMAN! And I’m comin’ to GETCHA!!!” Big Show jumped as he was pretty scared even though he was much bigger then The Boogeyman. Big Show just backed out of the ring and you saw his face as he was definitely scared.

Edge On Smackdown!

August 25, 2005

Last Sunday at Summerslam, Randy Orton defeated Triple H in a brutal Street Fight. Orton walked out of the match looking ten times worse then The Game, but the thing was he walked out remaining Champion. The bad news was that, the night for Orton wasn’t over yet, as RAW Superstar, Edge, Cashed in his Money in the Bank Contract to get his title shot and he defeated Orton to become the new WWE Heavyweight Champion. Then on the last RAW Edge announced he is leaving RAW to bring the belt back to Smackdown!

So now Edge is fully on Smackdown! and that means that tonight he will be having his first ever match on Smackdown! and it will be a rematch from Summerslam. It will be Edge defending the WWE Heavyweight Title against former Champion, Randy Orton!

Also at Summerslam, the team of Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe defeated Chris Benoit and Shawn Michaels. Then in the 20 Man Battle Royal, the new Cabinet of JBL and Mr. Andy Anderson teamed up with Angle and Joe to take out everyone possible, but that didn’t work as planned as they quickly got eliminated by Kane and Undertaker. Now since JBL and Anderson worked with Angle and Joe, Benoit and HBK want to take them out as well so they will be having a tag team match tonight on Smackdown!

Triple H will be speaking tonight on Smackdown! as he talks about his thoughts on Summerslam and the new WWE Heavyweight Champion, Edge.

Will Edge’s first title defense as Champion be successful? Can Benoit and HBK pick up the victory without any interference for once? What does Triple H have to say?

Tune into Smackdown! on UPN to find out!
