ok, I want to get some more songs on my iPod because my 3rd period is boring as hell and I need some songs to listen to. So can somebody reccomend me some music. I've already got a lot of Coheed up there, I've got Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin and shit like that. So what are some good bands out there and some good songs that I could get to help pass the hour and thirty minutes of hell.

Plus 44 - No It Isn't

Unwritten Law - Because Of You.

NOW. RIGHT NOW.

Get some KoRn, too. A bit of SOiL, Drowning Pool, RA and 40 Below Summer will help you through the time.

I've got some Fallout Boy and some Korn up there. I've got The Academy Is..., Audioslave, Avenged Sevenfold, Jimmy Eat World, and a few other bands like that.

Edit: after seeing Summ Summ's post I have P!ATD up there already too

Check out some Temple Of The Dog......I can't remember specific song titles (other than "Hunger Strike"), but they only did one album (as it was a tribute), so check any of thier songs out.

I say that in response to the mention of Audioslave, as Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder (of Pearl Jam) are main contributors to Temple Of The Dog

EDIT: I'll second some 36 Crazyfist love....oh, and the RA...especially "Slit Wrist Theory", "Bloodwork" and "An Agreement Called Forever" for Crazyfists, and "Parole", "Do You Call My Name?", "Superman" and "I Lost Everything Today" by RA

Get some Frank Zappa, songs like I am the Slime, Flower Punk, Stink Foot, Motherly Love, and Wowie Zowie.

Flatfoot 56, the best Christian band you'll ever hear. They are a hardcore christian punk group, that incorporate bagpipes and a mandelin into their music. They are nice guys on top of that, and I kind of sort of played the same show as them, a weekend outdoor fest, except on seperate days. Two of them are skinheads, yes my friends, christian skinheads. Anyway good songs are Knuckles Up, This Town, Brotherhood, and Chi-Town Beatdown. They also did an awesome cover of Blitz's "Razors in the Night" but I don't know if they ever recorded it.

Oh and Tom Waits... lots of Tom Waits starting with the early Island Records stuff following right through to his most recent releases.

Good deal on the Zappa then Frank (see what I...nevermind).

Since you like the Zappa then maybe Captain Beefheart or Black Randy and the Metrosquad would be up your alley. I'm not a real authority on Beefheart, but Black Randy's best songs are I slept in an Arcade, Telling Lies Everyday, Barefootin' On the Wicked Picket, and Loner with a Boner.

Strung Out (Hell....someone once described "Exile In Oblivion" as a more punk-Coheed crossed with a less gay AFI)

Death Cab For Cutie

The Weakerthans

Rooney

Gorillaz

Dredg

Mew

Acceptance

Keane

Pedro The Lion

The New Pornographers

Jose Gonzalez
