WWE: The New Direction

The midget angle was great and I like the way you brought the Corporation back. Kane and Foley should be good but maybe bringing back the Mankind character would've worked better for his match against a sadistic opponent like Kane. I'm just throwing things out there. Good job on this diary thus far.

Live! From Washington, D.C.

World Wrestling Entertainment Presents: Smackdown on UPN

The Smackdown broadcast begins with a video package recapping last week’s main event. The video shows random clips of battles between Batista and JBL and then fades out with a shot of a face-to-face between the two. Following the video package, the usual Smackdown intro video plays through, followed by the opening pyro and then the music of London and Kendrick. They make their way to the ring before their music is cut off by Southern Comfort’s music (SC is Noble and Kash repackaged, as mentioned last week. Also as mentioned, their music is that of Jamie Noble when Nidia was his manager.) Southern Comfort make their way to the ring and the match begins.

Tag Team Match

London and Kendrick vs. Southern Comfort

Very good match, highlighted by the highflying of both London and Kendrick, as well as the top glass technical work of all four men. Noble and Kash make frequent tags, keeping Kendrick from tagging out. About five minutes into the match, Kendrick manages to get the tag to London. London comes in a cleans house, but is soon double teamed and subdued. Kendrick tries to make the save, but Noble catches him with a Tiger Bomb! At the same time, Kash nails London with a huge Brainbuster and goes for the cover! 1... 2... 3!

Winners: Southern Comfort

Overall Rating: 90%

COMMERCIAL BREAK

The show returns from the break as Southern Comfort stands in the back in front of the interview set. They say that they just defeated the former WWE Tag Team Champions in a number one contenders match, and now they have the right to challenge for the titles. They go on to say that after SummerSlam, they don’t care who the champions are. Be it MNM, the Second City Saints, or even the Rock N’ Roll Express, they will beat whoever they have to. They will take on whatever team holds the titles, and they will become the WWE Tag Team Champions!

Triple Threat Match

Gunner Scott vs. Sylvan vs. Matt Hardy

The cameras cut back to the arena where Sylvan is already in the ring. A few seconds later, Gunner Scott makes his entrance. Following Scott, Matt Hardy makes his way to the ring and the match begins. The match mostly consists on Gunner and Hardy taking it to Sylvan, but there is the inevitable altercations between Gunner and Hardy. A few minutes into the match, Matt Hardy nails the Twist of Fate on Sylvan! But, before Hardy can go for the cover, Scott nails him with the One Night Stand! Scott goes for the cover! 1... 2... 3!

Winner: Gunner Scott

Michael Cole and Tazz go on to hype tonight’s main event, and discuss the Smackdown brand’s matches at SummerSlam. After a few moments, the cameras cut to the back abruptly. The cameraman runs down the hall, hearing fighting. The camera turns the corner to reveal William Regal and Gunner Scott exchanging blows. After a few moments, agents rush to the area and break the two apart. Regal yells at Scott as the agents pull him away. Gunner Scott looks surprised and even somewhat frightened. What the hell just happened?

Gregory Helms vs. Super Crazy w/ Psicosis

COMMERCIAL BREAK

The show returns from the break just as Gregory Helms’ music hits the speakers. Helms emerges from the back and makes his way to the ring and the match begins. They go back and forth, displaying some great wrestling. It looks like the New Blood’s attitude is having an impact on some of the Smackdown roster, as more wrestling has been integrated into matches lately. Late in the match, Helms hooks Super Crazy for the Nightmare on Helms Street, but Crazy counters out and hoists Helms up onto his shoulders for a fireman’s carry, only to SLAM him down onto the match forcefully. Super Crazy climbs to the top rope. Moonsault! 1... 2... 3!

Winner: Super Crazy

The cameras cut to the back as ANOTHER brawl has broken out in the back! This time, we see Christopher Daniels and the Second City Saints, along with Rey Mysterio, brawling around with Finlay, Mr. Kennedy, and MNM! Before things can get too violent, agents once again rush to the scene to break up the fighting. A few seconds later, Teddy Long makes his way into the situation. In an effort to try and break up the fight, Long gets knocked on his ass by one of the wrestlers. The agents finally pull everybody apart and Teddy Long gets to his feet.

Long: Okay, you know what. I am sick and tired of this, playas. Lately, it seems like everyone thinks they can do whatever the hell they want to! Well tonight, I’m putting my foot down. You are all banned from the arena tonight for fighting outside of a sanctioned match in the ring!

Kennedy: You can’t do that! We all have a match later tonight!

Long: Well not anymore!

Daniels: You can’t just completely take the match off the show, Teddy.

Long: You’re right, Chris. I’ll tell you what. Booker T… and Joe… they haven’t arrived to the building yet. But when they get here, they will go one-on-one inside that ring in place of the ten-man tag team match originally scheduled for tonight. Now, security, get these men out of my arena!

Teddy Long turns and walks away while agents and security usher the eight wrestlers out of the building.

Singles Match

Burchill vs. Orlando Jordan

The show returns from commercials as Orlando Jordan stands in the ring with his music playing. His music is soon cut off by Burchill’s. Burchill makes his way to the ring and the match begins. Orlando gets in one or two shots, but Burchill soon takes over, hitting a handful of moves - including a standing shooting star press. Burchill pulls Orlando to his feet and nails him with the Sea-4! 1... 2... 3!

Winner: Burchill

The cameras cut to the back as JBL stands alongside Kristal Marshall in front of the interview set.

Kristal: JBL, tonight you are going one-on-one with the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Cham…

JBL grabs the microphone from her.

JBL: The World Heavyweight Championship. A championship, that I held for the longest reign in a decade! A championship, that I should be the number one contender for! Batista was gone for how long? Six months! And he thinks he can just show up, beating a nobody, and then come out his first night back on Smackdown and run off the champion? That doesn’t earn him the right at a damn title shot! Tonight, I’m going to prove exactly why Batista doesn’t deserve a shot. I’m going to Clothesline that piece of garbage right to Hell! Because I can! Because I am… a wrestling… GOD!

JBL stares into the camera, looking as pissed as ever, before the screen fades to black.

Singles Match

Samoa Joe vs. Booker T w/ Sharmell

The show returns from the break as the New Blood’s music comes over the speakers. Samoa Joe emerges from the back and makes his way to the ring to a decent ovation. Once he is in the ring, Booker T’s music hits the speakers and he emerges from the back with Sharmell. They make their way to the ring and the match begins. Samoa Joe opens up on Booker T right from the start, hitting him with a ton of stiff moves. However, after a few minutes, Sharmell shows why she’s at ringside, and enables Booker T to take over. Booker T controls the match for a couple of minutes and then hooks Joe for the Booker End! NO! Joe counters out and sends Booker into the ropes. Samoan Drop! Joe pulls Booker to his feet and sends him to the corner. Joe charges at hit’s a huge running knee on Booker, causing Booker to drop to his ass in the corner. FASH WASH! Uh oh! Non-Title Match

Batista vs. JBL© w/ Jillian

The show returns from the break as JBL’s music hits the speakers. JBL makes his way to the ring with Jillian at his side. His music dies out, and after a few seconds, Batista’s music echoes throughout the arena as the crowd erupts into cheers for the hometown hero. Batista makes his way to the ring and gets face to face with JBL. Before they can exchange punches, Chris Benoit’s music hits the speakers. The Rabid Wolverine emerges from the back with Ric Flair, both looking quite dapper in their expensive clothes. The World Heavyweight Championship rests on Benoit’s shoulder as the two make their way to the announce table, joining Michael Cole and Tazz on commentary. Inside the ring, the match begins and the two go back and forth, trying to overpower one another. Jillian starts to interject herself, allowing JBL to get the upper hand. JBL control the match for a few minutes, even hitting the Clothesline From Hell! JBL is in shock, however, as the Clothesline From Hell does not take Batista off of his feet! JBL comes off the ropes again and goes for the move once but, but Batista ducks! JBL spins around! SPINEBUSTER! Batista does the thumbs down taunt and then pulls JBL to his feet, setting him up for the Batista Bomb!

What the hell?! Ric Flair jumps up onto the apron, getting the referee’s attention. Batista shoves JBL aside, hearing the commotion behind him. Batista turns around to see Ric Flair as Benoit slides into the ring behind Batista. Batista spins around and gets clobbered with the title belt! Immediately, the bell rings and Chris Benoit looks surprised. The referee had turned around and seen Benoit just as he hit Batista with the belt! Having already caused the DQ, Benoit decides to continue beating down on the now bloodied Batista. JBL eventually gets back to his feet and joins in on the beating, as does Ric Flair. A few moments later, Lashley runs down the aisle and slides into the ring. Flair goes after Lashley, only to be tossed to the outside! JBL goes after Lashley and the two begin to exchange punches! On the other side of the ring, Batista fights his way to this feet and exchanges shots with Benoit! Batista get Benoit for the Batista Bomb! Lashley hooks JBL for the Dominator! They both lift them up at the same time… and SLAM them down simultaneously! Batista and Lashley raises one another’s arms in victory as Batista’s music comes over the speakers. Batista picks up Benoit’s World Heavyweight Championship belt and Lashley picked up JBL United States Championship belt. They then pose on opposite corners as the crowd cheers. The Biggest Party of the Summer

August 20, 2006

WWE Championship

Four months ago at WrestleMania 22, Rob Van Dam won the second annual Money In The Bank Ladder Match, guaranteeing him a title shot any time he chose to cash in the contract. On June 12, the night after Vengeance, Rob Van Dam announced that he would be cashing in his Money In The Bank at the biggest pay-per-view of the summer, SummerSlam. For the past few weeks, Edge had been turning up only to Spear RVD, leaving him lying on the mat. However, six days ago, RVD and Edge would come face-to-face in a tag team match in which RVD would get the pin over the WWE Champion. Can RVD score the pinfall again, this time with the WWE Championship on the line?

World Heavyweight Championship

The Animal, Batista made his long awaited return to the WWE at the Great American Bash where he defeated William Regal. Since then, Batista has been dead set on recapturing the World Heavyweight Championship that he never lost. With Ric Flair at his side, Chris Benoit has managed to keep the upper hand over Batista, until this past Friday, when Batista would lay Chris Benoit out with a Batista Bomb. Can Batista regain the championship that he had to give up due to injury?

Era vs. Era

In the late 90’s, The Rock was the biggest superstar in sports entertainment. Almost ten years later, John Cena can lay claim to being the biggest superstar in the business. However, with Cena’s recent change in attitude, has come a new arrogance. One night after losing to Rob Van Dam at Vengeance, John Cena blamed the people for his change in attitude. Blaming “the people” didn’t sit too well with one man. That man being The Rock. The battles between these two in recent weeks have been quite heated, including John Cena delivering the FU through a table during the contract signing two weeks ago, as well as The Rock putting John Cena through the announce table six days ago with a Rock Bottom. Who will come out on top in this battle of eras?

Guaranteed Brutality

Kane’s obsession with making the Big Show bleed brought about the return of the Hardcore Legend, Mick Foley. With a common obsession for blood, it was announced that these two would face one another at SummerSlam. The obsession with blood soon turned to an obsession with fire, which brought out a side of Kane that no one had seen in years. Will either of these men survive this match that is guaranteed to be nothing less than brutal?

United States Championship

Smackdown General Manager has scheduled United States Champion, JBL to defend his title against the 2006 King of the Ring, Lashley on two separate occasions now. The first of which, JBL’s manager, Jillian aided him in winning. The second time, at the Great American Bash, JBL walked out on his match, resulting in a count out, allowing him to retain his championship. This time, however, Teddy Long has made it a Steel Cage match. And this time, JBL cannot run away, or he will lose his title by disqualification. A winner will only be determined by a pinfall or submission inside the ring. Can Lashley finally pull out a win now that the odds are even?

Old Rivalries Die Hard

For months, Vince McMahon tormented Shawn Michaels, doing everything he could to make his life a living hell. On June 11, at Vengeance, Chris Jericho would defeat Shawn Michaels with the help of Chris Masters. As the show came to a close, Vince McMahon would indirectly announce the reformation of The Corporation. The next night on RAW, it was made official along with Vince McMahon inducting the Spirit Squad - renamed The Interns - into the Corporation as well. That same night, Vince would schedule Shawn Michaels to take on Kenneth and John in a Handicap match. However, when it came time for the match, HBK never came out to his music. Instead, the music stopped, and on came the music of D-Generation X! The war picked up some momentum in the last few weeks, leading to some old-school antics from DX, but also some vicious battles between the two factions. Now, Chris Jericho and Chris Masters - representing the Corporation - will go up against DX in tag team action! Who will come out on top in this heated battle?

WWE Tag Team Championships

The Second City Saints debuted as part of a group calling themselves the “new blood” of the WWE, stating they were going to bring wrestling back to the company. Not longer after the group’s debut, the leader, Christopher Daniels, would capture the Cruiserweight Championship in a match that he came up with. He would then announce that the Second City Saints would now have their time to shine, as they challenged for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Two weeks ago, four teams squared off in Tag Team Turmoil in which the winners would go on to defend against the runners up at SummerSlam. MNM retained their titles, but only with the help of Melina at ringside, giving them the win over the Second City Saints. Will CM Punk and Colt Cabana follow in Christopher Daniels’ footsteps and bring more gold to the New Blood?

Grudge Match

This is a battle that has been brewing for months on end. Months ago, Chavo Guerrero would challenge Shelton Benjamin for his Intercontinental Championship, only to lose and then proceed to quit the WWE. JR would eventually convince Chavo to return, where he would go on to make a mark in the Intercontinental Championship division. Since then, things have not settled down between the two, especially in the last few weeks. While Chavo Guerrero was unable to defeat Shelton Benjamin both times he challenged for the Intercontinental Championship, can he finally pull it off here at SummerSlam?

New Blood Or Experienced Veterans?

A few weeks ago, the seeds for this match were planted when Samoa Joe would run in to save Rey Mysterio from a beating by Booker T and Mr. Kennedy. Not long after, it would be Samoa Joe’s stablemate, Christopher Daniels, saving Joe and Mysterio from a beating by Booker T, Mr. Kennedy, and Finlay. This would bring about this match. The New Blood, along with the veteran Rey Mysterio, taking on the veterans Booker T and Finlay, along with the rookie, Mr. Kennedy. The sides seem to be relatively even heading into this match. Can the New Blood continue their impressive streak in the WWE with the help of Rey Mysterio?

Don’t miss all of this on Sunday night, August 20, LIVE on Pay-Per-View as WWE presents SummerSlam at 8/7 CT.

WWE Championship

"Mr. Money In The Bank" Rob Van Dam vs. "The Rated R Superstar" Edge

The Money In The Bank should be like the Royal Rumble, where sure the winner's granted a title shot but it should become a new tradition that the MITB winner always wins the title match. Plus, it would solidify Edge as a Transitional Champion and piss him off even more than usual :P

World Heavyweight Championship

"The Animal" Batista vs. "The Rabid Wolverine" Chris Benot w/Ric Flair

I'm not positive who the returning superstar is, but i'm betting he'll interfere in this match and be added to your growing Four Horsemen type of aura.

Era vs. Era

"The People's Champion" The Rock vs. "The Doctor of Thuganomix" John Cena

I'm sort of hoping Cena wins this one to get The Rock back to Hollywood, as he's not a full-time wrestler and just seems out of place and taking up space that a new wrestler could be using. The Rock should definitly get some payback right after the match though to send the people home happy.

Guaranteed Brutality

Kane vs. Mick Foley

Again, Mick Foley's no full-time wrestler and putting him over Kane would just be degrating to his character. That would be like Shane McMahon beating Kane in their feud, it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

United States Championship

"The Wrestling God" John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Lashley

Take the belt off of JBL and put it on a midcarder where it belongs, especially on a beast like Lashley. This way, JBL can be thrown back into the World Title hunt.

Old Rivalries Die Hard

"Corporate Kiss-Asses" Chris Jericho and Chris Masters vs. DeGeneration-X

D-X Baby, there's no real reason for why they should win other than their greatness.

WWE Tag Team Championships

MNM w/Melina vs. Second City Saints

Daniels holds the CW Title, Second City Saints hold the Tag Team Titles and Joe hunts the US Title. Makes perfect sense to me.

Grudge Match

Shelton Benjamin vs. Chavo Guerrero

While Chavo will probably have nothing to do after this match unless he wins the title... I don't really care cuz Shelton's the freaking man. Hell, Chavo should be stuck tagging with Eugene and thrown in the tag ranks or something.

New Blood Or Experienced Veterans?

Mr. Kennedy, Booker T and Finlay vs. Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels and Rey Mysterio

Kennedy SWERVES screwing the veterans to join The New Bloods. Then Daniels holds the CW Title, SCS hold the tag titles, Joe can hold the US Title and the new World Heavyweight Champion - MISTEEEEERR KENNEDY!...

RVD should win against Edge, he has held the title long enough and is becoming kind of boring.

You will probably NC ending between Benoit and Batista. Batista is arguably the most over in WWE. I will go with Benoit though, just in case you stretch out the feud.

MNM will lose the tag belts because you seem to be giving TNB the hard push.

Kane beats Foley. The storyline has me intrigued

Team Mysterio for the 6 man tag. Maybe Joe turns on Rey afterwards going after Lashley and his US Belt?

Lashley deserves the US tile.... plus Lashley VS Joe would be a great feud.

Chavito, I guess, I dunno, his feud with Benjamin is meh.

DX over Mastericho. HBK has been 1-upped at Vengance so it makes the perfect sense.

Rock/Cena, hmmmmmmmm in real life The Rock would get the win to add publicity for his movies. Cena pulls out the win here probly with his good ol' Steel Chain.

Bonus: I will go with Lesnar. You need a big man to oppose Batista. Lesnar's the perfect fit.

No Angle and Carlito? For shame..........

Guest TNA/WWE Fan

WWE Championship

Rob Van Dam vs. Edge ©

^^^

RVD is the flavor at the moment and I think RVD will defently win this because of that.

World Heavyweight Championship

Batista vs. Chris Benot © w/Ric Flair

^^^

I just can't see Batista winning the title yet. Chris Benoit is curently where he should be I don't see anyone taking that away from him at the moment.

Era vs. Era

The Rock vs. John Cena

The Rock versus Hulk Hogan of 2006. I think it is The Rock's turn to put the building star over and this is where I think it will happen.

Guaranteed Brutality

Kane vs. Mick Foley

I never really caught on to this feud as I just really started getting into this thread. I think Kane will win, but not sure.

United States Championship

John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Lashley

It looks like Lashley is being pushed, but come SummerSlam I think JBL will get the victory and hold the title entail a rematch.

Old Rivalries Die Hard

"Corporate Kiss-Asses" Chris Jericho and Chris Masters vs. DeGeneration-X

^^^

Well after the heels I said who would win I think this is the other major win for the PPV.

WWE Tag Team Championships

MNM w/Melina vs. Second City Saints

^^^

My personal favorite besides Cena vs. Rock. I am hoping SCS gets the victory as they have been getting a hell of a push.

Grudge Match

Shelton Benjamin vs. Chavo Guerrero

^^^

This match should be very good. I think Chavo will be getting a push here.

New Blood Or Experienced Veterans?

Mr. Kennedy, Booker T and Finlay vs. Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels and Rey Mysterio

^^^

I defently think the new guys will win, but what is up with Kennedy on the EVs team. I have to agree with Inner D tottaly here.

WWE Championship

"Mr. Money In The Bank" Rob Van Dam vs. "The Rated R Superstar" Edge

RVD is Mr. MITB for god sakes & what would be the point of him winning it if he won't win the WWE Title? Also, it adds to Edge's frustration at being a transitional champion.

World Heavyweight Championship

"The Animal" Batista vs. "The Rabid Wolverine" Chris Benot w/Ric Flair Batista will need to be built up more before he can win the title from Benoit, so Flair can just cost Batista the match.

Era vs. Era

"The People's Champion" The Rock vs. "The Doctor of Thuganomix" John Cena

Cena has to win, just because he is the the full-time wrestler. But afterwards, Rock should just Rock Bottom Cena to keep the millions & millions of his fans happy.

Guaranteed Brutality

Kane vs. Mick Foley

Kane needs this victory, so you can get over the whole psycho ordeal he has going on right now. I hope this win also leads to bigger & better things for Kane...

United States Championship

"The Wrestling God" John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Lashley

JBL could make the Batista/Benoit storyline last one month longer & Lashley could make the US Title credible again. So all signs point to a Lashley win.

Old Rivalries Die Hard

"Corporate Kiss-Asses" Chris Jericho and Chris Masters vs. DeGeneration-X

D-X because its D-X, but I think that maybe X-Pac might return during or after the match.

WWE Tag Team Championships

MNM w/Melina vs. Second City Saints

I guess you will be going for the stable of gold with the New Blood, so it will continue here.

Grudge Match

Shelton Benjamin vs. Chavo Guerrero

I don't care about this match, so Benjamin should just keep the title.

New Blood Or Experienced Veterans?

Mr. Kennedy, Booker T and Finlay vs. Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels and Rey Mysterio

I could see a double turn here, since Mysterio is more experienced then Kennedy. But if only one happens, it will be Kennedy.

WWE Championship

"Mr. Money In The Bank" Rob Van Dam vs. "The Rated R Superstar" Edge

Edge is going to hold onto the title here I believe... I really don't believe that RVD is being pushed enough to be a credible champion just yet.

World Heavyweight Championship

"The Animal" Batista vs. "The Rabid Wolverine" Chris Benot w/Ric Flair

Both champs will retain tonight, Benoit will pick up the win here thanks to some assistance from Ric Flair

Era vs. Era

"The People's Champion" The Rock vs. "The Doctor of Thuganomix" John Cena

Rock wins... Not sure how yet, just expecting him to pull out a victory, maybe even by DQ...

Guaranteed Brutality

Kane vs. Mick Foley

Kane is going to destroy Mick and then move onto the world title scene.

United States Championship

"The Wrestling God" John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Lashley

Lashley got the victory via DQ last month and this month he will get the pinfall and take home the US Belt.

Old Rivalries Die Hard

"Corporate Kiss-Asses" Chris Jericho and Chris Masters vs. DeGeneration-X

DX have been getting the better of the Corporation but I think that the Corporate team need the victory here and will get it one way or another...

WWE Tag Team Championships

MNM w/Melina vs. Second City Saints

Wouldn't be surprised to see a DQ victory or something here... Second City Saints should get the win even though MNM only won the belts back a month ago...

Grudge Match

Shelton Benjamin vs. Chavo Guerrero

Not really sure why I'm going Chavo...

New Blood Or Experienced Veterans?

Mr. Kennedy, Booker T and Finlay vs. Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels and Rey Mysterio

Nothing real special here, expecting Daniels to get the pinfall in the match...

Edge over RVD

The Rated-R superstar's run can't come to an end just yet.

Benoit over Batista

There's more to be done with Benoit/Batista/Flair, so Benoit wins here and Batista continues the chase.

Cena over Rock

Any credibility Cena has built would be damaged by a loss here.

Foley over Kane

If Cena/Rock weren't on the card, I'd predict Kane over Foley. But I see Foley picking up a bloody win and Kane carrying on the violent vendetta in the weeks that follow.

Corporation over DX

I see a surprise appearance here, likely in the form of a new Corporation member; I think both sides need beefing up, preferably with some younger faces.

Lashley over JBL

Third time's the charm.

MNM over Second City Saints

MNM just won the titles back. And I think fans would resent it if the New Blood started winning championships left and right. I think there was more to be done with the MNM-Kendrick/London feud, so I hope that's revived somehow.

Shelton over Chavo

Chavo will come close, but another win for Shelton (perhaps tainted) will further build his heat.

Veterans over New Blood

The individual feuds can continue from there.

I'm stumped on the bonus.

WWE Championship

"Mr. Money In The Bank" Rob Van Dam vs. "The Rated R Superstar" Edge

-You get the MitB contract for a reason, to be on the top of the brand in less then that year. I see RVD taking this one getting Edge pissed off like always. I don't see that long of a run by RVD, though, maybe until the Rumble.

World Heavyweight Championship

"The Animal" Batista vs. "The Rabid Wolverine" Chris Benot w/Ric Flair

-I don't see Batista coming back right away and winning the title back. It would be a very good story for him, but he just returned last month. So I see this feud continuing after this and when it finally ends, The Animal will take the gold.

Era vs. Era

"The People's Champion" The Rock vs. "The Doctor of Thuganomix" John Cena

-I could see you go either way with this decision as if you want to put Cena over or make the crowd happy with The Rock. I do believe Cena should win to just get even more heat and a bigger push back towards the title.

Guaranteed Brutality

Kane vs. Mick Foley

-Again, I see you going either way with this one, but I think I can see Kane getting the win. For one reason and that is he get also get a push to the title and especially with his whole new obession with fire, his opponents would fear him.

United States Championship

"The Wrestling God" John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Lashley

-I see no point in having Lashley the US Champion as he is the King of the Ring and that means he deserves a World Title Shot soon enough. So let JBL keep it and get Lashley into the World Title Picture.

Old Rivalries Die Hard

"Corporate Kiss-Asses" Chris Jericho and Chris Masters vs. DeGeneration-X

-DX of course. Let Vince try to beat the two themselves. I see two ways DX winning. First either by overcoming the odds with the interference or a run-in help from a former DX member.

WWE Tag Team Championships

MNM w/Melina vs. Second City Saints

-The battle of two very young and talented teams. I see Punk and Cabana taking these Titles, though, so it could be them and Daniels as Champions. Then soon enough I could see Joe taking some gold like the US Title and let the New Blood run wild on Smackdown.

Grudge Match

Shelton Benjamin vs. Chavo Guerrero

-Chavo is one of those guys as if he loses he will be thrown back to the bottom as if Benjamin loses, he is good enough to have a good midcard feud with someone. So I see Chavo finally taking the IC Title and making Eddie proud.

New Blood Or Experienced Veterans?

Mr. Kennedy, Booker T and Finlay vs. Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels and Rey Mysterio

-I was kind of stuck here picking who should win, but I see New Blood again as I see they have a lot of talent and a bright future ahead of them. With Rey on their side, they have a lot of guidence.

Live! From Boston, Massachusetts

World Wrestling Entertainment Presents: SummerSlam on PPV

As the pay-per-view feed begins, a video package airs featuring highlights of all of the feuds leading into tonight. After the video, a huge pyrotechnic display goes off, signaling the official beginning of the biggest pay-per-view of the summer, SummerSlam! The camera race around the arena as the official PPV theme song plays, showing off the signs that fans have brought tonight. There are countless Batista and RVD signs, as well as New Blood and DX signs. The camera pan over to the stage as Mr. Kennedy’s music hits the speakers. He makes his way out onto the stage and heads for the ring, followed soon by Finlay. Once Finlay’s music fades out, Booker T’s music hits and he emerges from the back with Sharmell.

Six-Man Tag Team Match

Rey Mysterio, Christopher Daniels, and Samoa Joe vs. Booker T, Finlay, and Mr. Kennedy w/ Sharmell

Once all three of them are in the ring, Rey Mysterio’s music comes over the speakers, and he shoots up out of the stage. Mysterio makes his way half way down the ramp before the New Blood’s music comes over the speakers and Mysterio is joined by Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe. The team makes their way to the ring together and climb in. All six men get face to face briefly before the referee orders them all to take their corners. Mysterio and Finlay start the match. The two begin to exchange punches for a few moments, but with the extra power behind Batista’s punches, he is able to get the upper hand! However, as he swings for one last show, Benoit ducks! Both men spins back around and Benoit lunges at Batista! OH! BATISTA CATCHES BENOIT WITH A SPINEBUSTER! Batista gets to his feet and does his thumbs down taunt, but Ric Flair jumps onto the apron again. Benoit quietly rolls to the outside as Batista directs his attention to Flair. Batista flips Flair into the ring and pulls him to his feet. Uh oh! BATISTA BOMB ON FLAIR! BATISTA BOMB ON FLAIR! Batista gets to his feet and smiles. The referee kneels down to check on Flair. Batista spins arou… OH! BENOIT NAILS BATISTA IN THE FACE WITH THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE BELT! Batista is down! Benoit tosses the belt out of the ring and yells for the referee as he makes the cover. 1... 2... 3! NO! Benoit just stole the win! What a dirty way to retain the title!

Winner: And STILL World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Benoit

The cameras switch to a wide shot of the arena as a graphic appears on the screen with the Unforgiven logo. Joey Styles and Jerry Lawler proceed to inform the viewing audience that the next time World Wrestling Entertainment will be on pay-per-view will be Sunday night, September 24th when WWE and RAW present Unforgiven! Live from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and available only on pay-per-view! The graphic moves off screen as the cameras cut to the stage as Rob Van Dam‘s music hits the speakers!

WWE Championship

Rob Van Dam vs. Edge© w/ Lita

Mr. Money In The Bank emerges from the back to a huge ovation from the crowd. He makes his way toward the ring and stops briefly to do his thumbs taunt while the crowd chants “R… V… D!” along with the motions. RVD climbs into the ring and plays to the crowd before his music fades out. A few moments later, Edge’s music comes over the speakers and he emerges from the back with Lita at his side to thunderous boos. The WWE Champion makes his way to the ring and climbs in, while Lita stays on the outside. Edge removes his belt and hands it to the referee, who proceeds to show it off to the crowd. He hands the belt to the time keeper and then calls for the bell.

RVD and Edge lock up, and Edge gets RVD in a side headlock. But, RVD counters with a back suplex on Edge! The two proceed to go back and forth for about five minutes, with neither man being able to get a clear cut advantage. Eventually, RVD is able to lift Edge up and crotch him on the top rope. RVD climbs to the top turnbuckle and leaps at Edge with a kick, knocking Edge to the mat. Seeing an opportunity for a Rolling Thunder, RVD heads for the ropes. OH! Lita trips him up, causing him to bite the mat! RVD staggers to his feet as Edge approaches him and quickly begins to take control. With the help of Lita at ringside, Edge manages to maintain control of the match for the next few minutes.

Edge sends RVD toward the corner, but RVD hops to the second rope. Edge charges at him, and RVD back flips off of the ropes, landing on his feet behind Edge. Edge leaps to the second rope and leaps backward, turning for a Crossbody on RVD, but RVD ducks! Edge lands hard on the mat and flips over onto his back, allowing RVD to immediately land a standing Moonsault on him (yes, I stole that spot from Vengeance… get over it!)! RVD goes for the pin! 1... 2... NO! Edge kicks out! RVD gets to his feet and pulls Edge up, getting in a few punches on him, before landing a couple of stiff kicks. RVD goes to send Edge into the corner, but Edge reverses! RVD hits the corner hard. Edge approaches him and lifts him up, sitting him on the top rope. Edge grabs him and sets him up for a… Oh no. IMPLANT DDT OFF THE TOP ROPE! Edge goes for the cover! 1... 2... RVD kicks out! Edge quickly gets to his feet and heads for the opposite corner, measuring RVD up for the Spear. RVD gets to his feet and turns around… SPEAR! RVD is down! Edge goes for the cover! 1... 2... NO! RVD KICKS OUT AGAIN! Edge can’t believe it! Frustrated, Edge heads to the outside. Oh, no. Edge grabs a steel chair and heads back into the ring!

RVD gets to his feet as Edge approaches him with the chair. Edge swings! No! RVD ducks! Edge spins around… VAN DAMINATOR! Edge is out cold, AND bleeding! RVD surveys the crowd and then heads for the corner as the crowd cheers. He hops to the top rope and once again does his thumb taunt. He soars off the top rope. FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! He flops around for a second and then goes for the cover! 1... 2... 3! YES! YES! YES! RVD HAS WON THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP! The referee hands the belt to RVD, who then proceeds to pose with it in the corner. Suddenly..

“NO CHANCE! NO CHANCE IN HELL! YOU’VE GOT, NO CHANCE!”

What the hell is he doing here?! Vince McMahon emerges from the back with a microphone in his hand. He makes his way down the ramp, walking with a purpose, and looking quite pissed off. He climbs into the ring and gets in the referee’s face.

Vince: What do I pay you for? Huh? Answer me! What do I pay you for? Do I pay you, to make ridiculous decisions? I don’t think I do! What? What am I talking about? Let’s have a look, shall we!

Vince points to the big screen as the final moments of the match replay. Conveniently, the clip starts just as RVD jumps up for the Van Daminator. The rest of the match plays through and then the clip stops. Vince looks at the referee.

Vince: Don’t tell me you didn’t see that. Don’t tell me that you did not just see Rob Van Dam illegally use a steel chair! What? “But Edge brought it into the ring and RVD never actually used it.” You’re serious? Rob Van Dam clearly used that chair!

Rob Van Dam grabs the microphone from Vince.

RVD: What the hell do you think you’re doing, Vince? I won this match, plain and simple. I’m the new WWE Champion whether you like it or not!

Vince grabs the microphone back.

Vince: You cheated! You illegally used a steel chair!

Rob Van Dam, without a microphone, yells at Vince, saying that Edge tried to use the chair, he was just trying to protect himself.

Vince: I don’t care! You illegally used a steel chair to incapacitate Edge. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen… you’re winner by disqualification… and STILL WWE CHAMPION! EDGE!

Edge, who is now back to his feet, quickly grabs the belt from RVD and flees the ring. Edge and Lita make their way up the ramp as the crowd begins to throw anything they can find at Edge. Soda bottles, and even a few rolls of toilet paper are thrown at his head. RVD remains in the ring, completely pissed off as Vince also makes his way up the ramp after Edge. He too, is having things thrown at him. Edge and Lita stop on the stage as Vince walks up to them. Vince looks at Edge and smiles before heading to the back. The camera shows Edge and Lita standing there, and then RVD standing in the ring. The cameras cut back to Edge holding his title belt as the cameras fade to black. The WWE logo flashes on the screen and the show goes off the air.

Aftershock

August 21, 2006

Coming off the heels of SummerSlam, Rob Van Dam has to be an angry man after having the decision reversed in his match against Edge last night. RVD had won the match, and the WWE Championship, when Vince McMahon made his presence known and disqualified Van Dam, allowing Edge to retain the title. Speaking Edge and Mr. McMahon. Vince told Edge he would have no choice but to accept his offer. Have last night’s events aided Edge in making his decision?

The match between the Big Red Machine and the Hardcore Legend was ruled a forfeit last night when Kane set Mick Foley’s back ablaze. However, Mick Foley did not seem too pleased with the call. Kane will be in action tonight against Goldust. Will Mick Foley show his face? Also, John Cena will be present tonight after having defeated The Rock last night in controversial fashion. Will his controversial win be discussed?

Last night, Rob Conway informed Carlito that they would be facing off tonight for the number one contendership for Chris Masters’ Intercontinental Championship. Will Rob Conway pick up another win over Carlito? Also, Charlie Haas made his return to World Wrestling Entertainment last night, costing Shelton Benjamin his match against Chavo Guerrero. Tonight, the three will face off in a Triple Threat Match. Can Benjamin get retribution on Charlie Haas?

All this and much more on Monday Night RAW (9/8 CT; USA Network).

Good show. I don't have the time to give a full review, but it was an entertaining PPV. I guess I expected more on match lengths because I was a little disapointed there, but the quality of the PPV made up for some of that. Good PPV, but I think your only downfall for me personally was the match lengths as right when I was getting intrested they ended. Looking forward to RAW on how this all turns out with the Vince McMahon/RVD thing. I would love to see RVD kick his ass at Unforgiven.

The opening Six man tag really served no purpose. It just looked like a way to get all the wrestlers in the card.

Vince stripping RVD of the title... BOOO

The corps got another win. You better give DX a win since they are lookin kinda weak now.

Everything else was okay... MNM beating Cabunk to retain was a surprise though.

- The 6-Man Tag was decent, but like Jaze said, it just seemed like a way to get them onto the card. Also, with New Blood, I liked how they could all possibly be wrestling inside a WWE ring, so good job there.

- I think you should've left the NO DQ announcement until the match was just about to get underway, just to get Vince more heat.

- Í wasn't likin the Regal segment, or the Carlito one either, just because they could've been left for RAW & Smackdown!

- Chavo/Shelton was just to set up Shelton/Haas? If it was, good job :)

- I liked the tag match & I see how the finish works, 'cause it gets the faces more over while keeping the belts on MNM, who only won them a month ago.

- D-X are really looking weak at the moment & with that finish, I don't see much hope for them anymore.

- I enjoyed the Kane/Foley match, now I hope this means a push for Kane up the card.

- Cena/Rock was good, good job on the finish, helps get over the STFU, even if it does suck.

- Batista/Benoit seemed like it should've been on a single brand PPV, but that's not your fault.

- Edge/RVD was great, like this storyline with Edge/Vince, hope it doesn't end with Edge face turn.

Happy to see Kennedy pick up the win in the 6-man. I hope he continues to emerge as a top player on the Smackdown side.

It appears as though you'll be handling Haas's return a lot better than WWE has. I would've been tempted to have given Chavo the clean win and saved the Charlie attack for post-match, but I understand you were protecting Shelton.

MNM continues to be an entertaining act. I'm hoping we see more distinct personalities emerge from all of the New Blood members in the weeks to come.

I'm glad to see the Corporation win, but I hate the thought of Jericho being saddled with Masters. Yuck.

The cage match with Lashley and the overall program with JBL has done a great job of elevating him. That said, I don't think the Kurt Angle segments are helping help very much. More than anything else, they're stressing that Lashley is not on Angle's level.

Kane-Foley was about as crazy as it needed to be.

I wasn't crazy about the finish to the Cena-Rock match. I'm not high on Cena at all, but he needed a clean win, here.

Sensible booking as far as Batista-Benoit goes.

Vince reversing the title change was pretty much perfect, and gives you plenty more mileage for Edge/RVD. Nice.

Overall, thumbs up!

Live! From Bridgeport, Connecticut

World Wrestling Entertainment Presents: RAW on USA

The show comes onto the air with a recap video of last night’s RAW matches at SummerSlam. The video comes to a close after showing RVD win the title, only for the decision to be reversed by Vince McMahon. Following the video is the usual RAW opener, which is then proceeded by Vince McMahon’s music echoes through the arena to an immense amount of boos. Vince McMahon emerges from the back with Chris Jericho at his side. The two arrogantly make their way to the ring, where Vince is handed a microphone. His music fades out.

Vince: Yes, yes. I know you people hate me. But, I can’t help but smile. I’m in a great mood here tonight! Last night… last night was a great night! Not only did Chris Jericho and Chris Masters beat the living hell out of Triple H and Shawn Michaels, but Rob Van Dam once again came SO close to winning the big one, only to come up short… like always! But just for a second, let’s rewind to last week. Last week on RAW, I promised Edge that at SummerSlam… I would give him no other choice, but to accept my offer! That’s exactly what I did last night! I gave Edge one more reason to accept that offer. Now, I don’t want to waste any time here tonight. So, Edge, come on down to the ring and officially accept the offer.

Edge’s music comes over the speakers and the WWE Champion steps out onto the stage. The belt proudly strapped around his waist, and Lita at his side. They make their way to the ring where they shake hands with Vince McMahon and Chris Jericho. Edge’s music soon fades out.

Vince: Thank you for joining me out here, Edge. Now, last week, I promised you I’d give you no other choice but to accept my offer. And, well, I think I did a good job of that.

Edge asks for a microphone and is given one.

Edge: Ya know, Vince. To tell the truth, when you told me you’d give me no other choice, the last thing I was expecting was for you to help me out.

Vince: Well, I’m sure you already knew that I am a very persuasive man, Edge. I am a billionaire. I get what I want.

Edge: That is true. Vince. Last night, was quite convincing. In fact, last night made me rethink everything. It made me reevaluate my entire career. Mr. McMahon, you’re offer is very impressive… and even more tempting. And tonight, I finally have an answer for you.

Vince: That’s good to hear. Now, before you give me an answer Edge. I just want you to know, you are a very bright superstar. You have an incredible future ahead of you. I would hate to see you throw all of that away.

Edge: Well, thank you, Vince. But you d…

Vince: And… And, I think it would be in yours… and Lita’s best interest to accept the offer. The c…

Edge: Listen, Vince. I have an answer for you. Now, I’ve been trying to give that answer to you, but you keep cutting me off. So do you want it or not?

Vince: Of course. But let’s just hope you’ve made the right decision.

Edge: Vince. The answer is…

Vince, Edge, and Jericho all turn their attention to the stage as Rob Van Dam comes running down the ramp. Van Dam slides into the ring and goes after Jericho first while Lita quickly flees from the ring. RVD clotheslines Jericho over the top rope to the outside. Edge lunges at RVD, but receives a boot to the jaw, knocking him to the mat! RVD turns his attention to Vince, saying a few unkind words to him. OH! RVD LEVELS VINCE WITH A PUNCH! Van Dam proceeds to hit Vince with a spinning leg drop. RVD makes his way to the corner as the crowd cheers loudly. He hops up to the top rope, preparing for the Five Star Frog Splash! He LEAPS off the top… OH! HOLY SHIT! Jericho comes back out of nowhere and catches him in mid-air with a drop kick! Within seconds, Jericho and Edge are both beating down on RVD! Edge backs into the corner as Jericho pulls RVD to his feet… SPEAR! RVD is out! Jericho and Edge help Vince to his feet and then head to the back together. The camera shows RVD lying unconscious in the ring as the show fades to commercials.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

The show returns from the break with Vince McMahon in his office with Jericho, Edge, and Lita. Vince is FUMING. He says that Rob Van Dam has just under two hours to find himself a tag team partner because tonight’s main event, is going to be Edge and Chris Jericho taking on Rob Van Dam and his partner. Edge and Jericho smile as the cameras cut back to the arena.

Singles Match

Carlito vs. Rob Conway

Rob Conway’s music hits the speakers and he makes his way to the ring to a round of boos. Once his is in the ring, Carlito’s music comes over the speakers. Carlito makes his way to the ring to a nice pop and the match begins. They go back and forth for a couple of minutes. Soon, Conway starts to take control of the match. Conway nails Carlito with a handful of different moves, weakening him substantially. A couple of minutes later, Conway hooks Carlito for a suplex, hoisting him up and draping his legs onto the top rope! Wait. No. Carlito fights it and slides off the ropes to the apron! OH! Carlito is trying to suplex Conway to the OUTSIDE! No! Conway reverses it and lifts Carlito up, but Carlito counters and drops down behind Conway! BACKCRACKER! Carlito pulls Conway away from the ropes! 1... 2... 3!

Winner: Carlito

The cameras cut to the back to show Chris Masters observing a monitor as the match ends. The Intercontinental Championship rests on his shoulder. It’s obvious he is scouting his opposition. The cameras then cut to the locker room of D-Generation X. Triple H is pacing around the room yelling while Shawn Michaels sits and watches him.

Triple H: Last night was complete crap, Shawn! And you know it! We had them beat until Jericho brought in that damn steel chair! But of course, Vince, that son of a bitch, had to make the match no disqualification because he KNEW his damn lackeys couldn’t beat us on their own! I’ll tell you what, Chris Jericho is mine! I’m gonna kick his ass sooner or later! I…

Triple H and Shawn Michaels both direct their attention toward the door, not looking too pleased. The camera pans over to reveal John Cena.

Cena: Hahahaha. Listen to you, Hunter. You’re blaming your loss on the rules of the match! Oh, no! Chris Jericho used a steel chair! It’s not like Triple H hasn’t used a sledge hammer numerous times!

Triple H: You’ve got some balls, ya know that, John.

Cena: Look, Trips. I’m not here to start trouble. I’m just here to tell you something. Quit blaming your loss on all the wrong reasons. Let’s face it guys… The only reason you guys lost last night… Well, it’s really obvious. You lost because… well, Shawn… you’re a little over the hill, bud.

HBK gets to his feet and gets right in John Cena’s face. They both appear ready to fight, but after a few seconds, Michaels turns his head toward the floor and steps back from Cena. John Cena laughs and heads out of the room. Triple H looks at Shawn Michaels, wondering why he didn’t take a shot.

Singles Match

Goldust vs. Kane

The cameras return to the arena just as Kane’s pyro explodes from the stage. He makes his way to the ring, where Goldust already awaits him. Kane climbs into the ring and the match begins. Goldust gets in a few shots at the beginning, but Kane quickly sends him into the ropes. Big Boot! Kane measures him up for the Chokeslam! HE NAILS IT! 1... 2... 3!

Winner: Kane

Overall Rating: 76%

Before Kane’s music can hit, Mick Foley’s does. Foley emerges from the back and stands on the stage with a microphone.

Foley: Kane! I’m going to make this short and simple! Last night was BULLSH(beep)! I could’ve continued, and everyone in this business knows that! I WANTED to continue! The referee calling for a damn FORFEIT is a bigger screw job than Montreal! I’M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU, KANE! Oh, no! Not even close! In fact, Kane… THINGS ARE JUST BEGINNING! Soon enough Kane… Soon enough… you’re going to BURN… IN… HELL!!!

Foley turns and heads to the back, leaving Kane standing in the ring with a confused look on his face.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

The show returns as a new theme song hits. It is a European sounding song, reminiscent of something William Regal would use. Two new guys emerge from the back; one in wrestling gear and the other one in a fancy suit. They make their way to the ring, where the one in the suit is handed a microphone. The music fades out.

Man In Suit: (With a British Accent) Ladies and gentlemen of America, allow me to introduce myself. My name, is Dean Ayass. I am the single greatest manager to come out of Europe! And with me in this ring, is the greatest wrestler ever born, not to mention the greatest wrestler to ever come out of England. Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you, Nigel McGuinness! Now, tonight, Nigel is going to take his first step toward greatness here in World Wrestling Entertainment… by defeating Eugene!

Dean tosses the microphone out of the ring as Eugene’s music hits the speakers. Eugene makes his way to the ring, and as soon as he climbs in, Nigel attacks him.

Due to the attack, Nigel controls the match for a few minutes. However, Eugene soon begins to take over after having his head repeatedly slammed into the top turnbuckle. Eugene gets in a handful of old school moves and then sends Nigel into the ropes. SPINEBUSTER, much like The Rock would do! Dean quickly reaches into the ring and pulls Nigel to the outside. Nigel crawls under the ring. Eugene looks around the outside, asking Dean where he went. Dean points to the other side of the ring, sending Eugene away. Dean hops onto the apron, distracting the referee. Nigel climbs into the ring from the other side, where Eugene is heading… OH! Nigel nails Eugene in the gut with a cricket bat! And then again in the back of the head! Nigel tosses the bat to the outside and rolls Eugene over for the cover! Dean climbs down off the apron as the referee hurries over to make the count! 1... 2... 3!

Winner: Nigel McGuinness

He climbs to the top rope and soars off with a violent Splash! 1... 2... 3! Jamal picks up the win in just under three minutes!

Winner: Jamal

The cameras cut to Vince’s office. He is watching the match between The Rock and John Cena from last night as John Cena enters the room. Vince pauses the tape just as Cena is pouring clear liquid onto his wrist bands.

Vince: John, I’ve been watching this tape over and over again, and for the life of me, I cannot figure it out. What the hell was that, that you poured onto your wrist bands right there?

Cena laughs and then reaches into his back pocket. He pulls out the same bottle he used last night and hands it to Vince. Vince’s eyes open wide as he looks at the label.

Vince: ETHER?! John Cena… I like the way you think!

Cena and Vince both smile as they begin talking. The cameras cut away from them and back to the arena as Chavo Guerrero’s music hits the speakers.

Triple Threat Match

Charlie Haas vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Chavo Guerrero

Chavo makes his way to the ring before Shelton’s music hits the speakers. Once Shelton is in the ring, Charlie Haas’ music comes over the speakers, and he emerges from the back to a modest pop. Haas makes his way to the ring and the match begins. Haas and Benjamin immediately go at it, leaving Chavo standing near the corner, not minding that he has nothing to do. He emerges from the back with Lita at his side. They make their way to the ring and Edge’s music dies out. A few seconds pass, but then RVD’s music echoes through the arena to a huge pop. RVD emerges from the back and makes his way out on to the stage. He heads down the ramp and stops at the bottom as his music fades out. Edge, Jericho, and the crowd await the arrival of RVD’s partner…

The crowd erupts as Triple H emerges from the back and makes his way down the ramp, joining RVD before sliding into the ring! The referee calls for the bell and the match begins. A four way brawl breaks out for the first few moments, but soon, order is restored and Van Dam starts things off with Chris Jericho. They briefly go back and forth, but before long, Van Dam finds himself in control. A couple of minutes go by and RVD drags Jericho to the corner and plays to the crowd for a tag to Triple H. The crowd erupts into cheers, but Jericho breaks free and dives across the ring, making the unwanted tag to Edge. Edge is hesitant to get into the ring, but finally does. He takes a few steps toward RVD, but then RVD tags in Triple H. The crowd pops as Edge quickly takes those steps back, not wanting to face Triple H. Triple H grins and stares at Edge from across the ring.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

The show returns from the break with Triple H in control over Edge. Every few moments, Edge tries to crawl over to tag in Jericho. Triple H teases that he’s going to allow the tag, but then grabs Edge’s foot and pulls him back, and then proceeding to beat down on him some more. RVD staggers to his feet! EDGECUTION! Edge goes for the pin! Wait! No! The referee says he’s not the legal man! Edge is furious! Edge climbs to the outside and grabs Jericho, tossing him into the ring. Edge climbs back onto the apron and Jericho stumbles over to make the tag. Edge enters the ring and charges at RVD, who is now at the opposite corner, perhaps going to tag in Triple H! Edge goes for the spear! No! RVD moves! Edge collides head first with the knee of Triple H! Triple H enters the ring and proceeds to double team Edge with RVD. Soon, however, Jericho comes to his aide, taking Triple H to the outside! While they battle on the outside, RVD takes Edge down with a kick! RVD hops to the top rope! At the same time, Lita hops on to the apron on the far side of the ring, distracting the referee. RVD soars off the top with the Five Star Frog Splash! HE NAILS IT! But, at the exact same time on the outside, Jericho nails Triple H with a steel chair! RVD goes for the cover but Lita has the referee distracted! RVD gets to his feet and takes a couple steps toward Lita, but is spun around by Jericho, who then blasts HIM with the chair! RVD IS OUT! Jericho drags Edge over and drapes his arm over RVD! Lita hops down off the apron as Jericho slides to the outside, placing the chair down on the floor. The referee makes the count! 1... 2... 3!

Jericho slides back into the ring, as does Lita. Jericho now has Edge’s belt. He hands it to Edge and then raises his arm while Lita raises the other arm. The camera shows Edge, Lita, and Chris Jericho standing tall in the ring together as the show goes off the air.

The segment to start the show was good, but for the love of god, don't turn Edge. He's the perfect heel & just look at the reaction he got in 2004 on RAW as a face.

Carlito/Masters feud now? Could be good, could be bad.

DX is looking more weak then my grandma at the moment, & this segment made it worse.

Foley/Kane, Inferno @ Unforgiven? I like it, I like it alot.

I was LMAO with the cricket bat thing, but that's prolly cause I'm Australian. Anyways, good way to debut him, but I don't see him getting a push anytime soon.

Didn't Kenneth & John get fired?

What's Ether?

Main event was good, but I can now see the 55th feud between HBK & HHH happening in the next couple of months.

Overall, this wasn't one of your better shows, & for that, I give it a 3/5.
