And Load's a terrible album, but it's got "Mama Said" on it, which is one of Metallica's best songs, as it's not decidedly dull heavy metal, it's decidely above-average country rock instead.

Adding to that, Load had some good songs (Mama Said included) - but because it was more alternative metal (which is repetitive in itself), this 80 minute album was 40 minutes too long. Same with Reload. And every song on St Anger minus Frantic would be much better if they didn't decide to repeat each song twice.

Yeah, surely by definition, alternative metal would be interesting, and not dull like most of Load was? Mr. Bungle, I'd consider "alternative metal", Metallica, I certainly wouldn't.
