What are you on about? If anything they've been winning matches in 45 minutes. The opponent has scored during the first leg and first half of the second leg. They've done all the work in the last 45.

They weren't the favourites tonight. Sevilla always were. It's just sad that Boro gave up towards the end and allowed Sevilla to score almost at will. Schwarzer made some fantastic saves but even the best goalkeepers can't keep out rebounds from that distance.

Yeah, sorry....I forgot when the OVER-ACHIEVING Middlesbrough versus the fifth best team in La Liga (who just missed out on Champions League last year) is a fair reflection of Steve Maclaren's managerial abilites. The fact that he even got them there, oh, and won Borough's only trophy in eons kinda shows that, doncha think?

Plus it wasn't even as if Borough were tactically bad...it'll be nice to see when people notice the difference between a bad performance by the team (see: this match) and a bad tactical performance.

I wasn't being serious you bunch of tits, I actually think McClaren was the best choice we had after Scolari.

Although performing badly has become a trait of Middlesborough this season, they've done it numerous times in the UEFA cup (before turning it around) and have been below average in the league. That being said, the quality of players he has at his disposal is hardly great.
