10. Elton John; "Best of"

The first CD with Rocketman, Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting. So many great tunes.

9. Final Fantasy; "He Poos Clouds"

Amazing CD from top to bottom. Owen Pallett is a genius with a violin and can make anything sound beautiful.

8. Sage Francis; "A Healthy Distrust"

The man can rhyme and he basically goes all out to prove it. He is Eminem, but just a little bit better.

7. Justin Timberlake; "Justified"/George Michael; "Faith"

Guilty pleasure, but it is top to bottom a great CD. Cry Me A River, Rock Your Body, Sënorita, Like I Love You... all classic pop songs. Oh, and George Michael for the exact same reason.

6. David Bowie; "Ziggy Stardust"

Not a single bad song on it. I don't like the guy, but he makes great music.

5. The Mars Volta; "Frances the Mute"

Self-indulgent? Yes. Over the top? Yes. But all worth the price of admission.

4. DJ Dangermouse; "The Grey Album"/Dean Gray; "American Edit"

The two most important CD's of this century. The prototype for the future of music.

3. Saves the Day; "Through Being Cool"

This was a hard choice, because I find myself in love with Saves the Day these days. In my mind, the best emo band to ever exist. I wasn't sure what CD to choose, because honestly all belong here.

2. The Clash; "London Calling"

A classic in every sense of the word. My very first vinyl and my favorite.

1. Refused; "The Shape of Punk To Come"

From top to bottom, every track is great. Probably the definitive punk record in my mind.

Quoted because the beautiful Mr Pallett doesn't get nearly enough love.
