I guess there is going to be alot of speculation as to who is going to take the job. Sven's name has been mentioned. Villa have also announced that they have received more takeover bids.

O'Leary has never been a great tactical manager, if he had someone with the knowledge beside him (which Aitken isnt) then Villa would have done so much more.

The team Villa have got is a class side, okay, not on par with Chelsea or Man United, but better than the team he had at Leeds.

He isnt happy unless he's got someones bank account details to throw money at players, he'd be better off as a celebrities personal shopper.

Ellis is also clueless, lacks drive and ambition, he's quite happy to go along and get a bit of a profit at the end of the season, aslong as its not spent on players to make the fans happy by challenging for Europe.

Not a big O'Leary fan since he and Ridsdale put us in the Championship.

Talks are on going.

One of Lerner's boys had been heard saying he looks forwrs to working with O'Neill.

Meanwhile, two consortiums (the local one, and AV06) are thinking of merging to take over.

And he was asked if he had cash to spend, he said funds are available and will be used.
