Villa have also been linked with Alan Smith who is apparently there taking a medical.

Upson is also poised to join West Ham for £7.5 million if he gets the terms he wants, the main one being a relegation release clause.

Also, SWP has supposedly been spotted in and around Newcastle.

Reto Ziegler's gone on loan from Spurs to Sampadoria, I don't really think he'll be back.

Also, Palermo have signed highly rated Uruguayan Edison Cavani, which is being made a huge deal in the Latino channels here. The guy tore apart opposing teams while playing for the U20s, and while that's not saying much he certainly looked impressive. Could be one for the future.

Massimo Macarone also seems to have gone back home.

And the US radio has said that Thierry Henry just came out of Pizza Hut Park after negotiation with the MLS. Oh man, that one was delicious moronic >_>

EDIT:

And some interesting slightly transfer related news, Ottmar Hitzfield is the new Bayern Munich coach after Felix Magath was sacked. Hitzfield's awesome and this should provide for some interesting stuff in this year's CL.
