The only real issue I have with mafia lately is that a lot of people are completely afraid of making a decision that might be looked upon badly by other players. It holds up the game. There is literally no reason that Breaking Bad should have gone to a random modkill. I'm not sure what the fix for it is, however, because people are going to continue to jump on other people for the decisions they make, because that's how the game is played, so people are going to continue to be afraid of standing out.

I kinda hate the posts where just come in, say they're not sure of everyone being discussed, then say they'll have to read through one more time. 90% of what happens after is that the person just disappears until someone notices again.

I totally agree with you, but I've also dropped those kinds of posts myself. Not in an attempt to try and lurk, I don't think anyone could seriously accuse me of that, but because I genuinely mean to read through and then post something.

I know this is going to sound really hypocritical coming from me, since I'm one of the first to jump on people for 'bad' play (see: Mick), but we could probably do with finding a way to make people less afraid of making mistakes.

Actually, we really should try running that 'mentor mafia' idea from a few pages ago. It'd be a good way for people to learn from better players. There were so many posts in Noir Mafia that made me want to say something, especially all the dumb stuff arguing about whether Rider would put a particular ability in the game, but, because I wasn't in it, I couldn't. If we ran a few of those, it would probably help a lot.
