Dragon Ash - One of my favorite bands ever.

Bump of Chicken - They're not fantastic, but most of their songs are decent.

Glay - Another above average rock band.

Dir En Gray - Goth Metal

Kemuri - A ska band who do a lot of songs in english.

I also second Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra and X Japan.

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra is a must.

PandaNoPanda are awesome, if purely for their cover of "The Trooper" which is just ridiculously happy. The songs on their myspace are kinda wank though. Try and hunt out the cover though, it's awesome.

Kemuri is pretty good too.

Too Close To See are an alright pop-punk band, they're got a cover album out (Which I haven't heard) and an original album, which is pretty solid. Weird stuff to listen to, because you swear he's singing English. :shifty:

Pretty much what other people have said and...

Porno Graffitti (spelled like that) - So different and awesome, it's hard to to put them into a genre.

Favorite song: Uzu

B'z - Awesome, Awesome J-Rock, one of the first bands I heard from Japan. I can't name a favorite song because they have so many.

The Alfee - Have been around forever. Strange Rock/Pop/Folk hybrid, but it works. In fact, I just ordered their single collection from YesAsia.

Not really my favorite song, but it shows how awesome their lead guitarist, and towards their end, how awesome their accoustic guitarist is:

Also, Southern All-Stars, Tomoyasu Hotei, LOW IQ 01 (good luck finding anything on him) all rock as well.

Youtube is now apparently cracking down on videos of Avex artists posted on the site, because the company complained or something. I had a couple videos in my favorites that are now down, and most of the other copies of the videos posted by other users are also down.

Avex is seriously shooting themselves in the foot, because there are a few artists I've discovered through Youtube that I'd never heard before, and I'd imagine that would be the same for a lot of other people.

(Incidentally, both videos I had favorited were by Koda Kumi, but I'd imagine they're going after videos by every artist signed to Avex)

Thank God for Firefox. :)

Japanese music lol

8. No postwhoring. If you're going to reply or post, make sure there is a point to your post and that there is some actual content. "Good job" or "lol, I agree" are postwhore-ish messages, and will likely result in a warning.

Just saying, is all.
