Alright, now Dallas' drafting is annoying me. I know Jerry Jones thinks the team could have lined up yesterday and played, but we still have needs. Now I was actually excited about the prospect of getting Brady Quinn, but we have Romo and want to see how he pans out, and we robbed the Browns of their first round pick next year, which will almost certainly be in the top 12.

My problem begins with trading back up and giving up the second rounder we got from Cleveland. Was defensive end a glaring need? Not in my eyes. We have Spears and Canty, and while they haven't been spectacular, they've both had some injuries, but they aren't exactly busts. Linebacker/DE hybrids, we've got Ware and Ellis, who before he went down was playing wonderfully at his new spot. Now I know once Ellis went down that side of the defense struggled, but the cowboys are still stocked at LBs and Carpenter and Kevin Burnett could have filled in if Ellis or Ware goes down.

Spencer is a good pickup, and will probably end up replacing Canty on one side at DE, but I don't think DE was a glaring need for the Cowboys, and they are certainly better stocked there then they are at DT, Safety and certainly wide reciever.

Giving up the Browns second round choice means we won't select again till the 50s and we'll be left with the bottom end of the top 15-20 recievers, most likely finding someone who's about as good as Patrick Clayton, certainly not the game breaker we'll need in the next few years.

Of course my compaints are pretty null and void, as the cowboys will have 2 first rounders next year and will almost certainly be using of them to acquire a wide reciever somehow.

as I'm a shit fan.

Someone tell me what the likely Jets plan is from here, so I can act informed and up-to-date on happenings of my team in green.

Jets? Summ, how could you?!

...ahem. What are you looking for, the plans in the later rounds of the draft or just a general Jets overview? No matter what, be aware that you have the guy with the undisputed best name in existence in the form of D'Brickashaw Ferguson.

I didn't pay attention to any of last season, though I caught most of the Jets action the season prior, ugh.

So, draft information obviously will be good, anything else I've missed, should know for the new season - hit me with it. I've missed NFL.

& that name turns me on.

NY Jets

Finished a surprising 10-6 under Mangini.

Good young defense, building a nice OLine, Pennington is healthy with a young backup in Kellen Clemens.

This off season: Made a good trade with Chicago, they get an everydown back with Thomas Jones for their 2nd pick only and also got Chicago's 2nd. Good pick up will work good with Leon Washington.

They picked up Darrelle Revis, a corner back. They traded up to get him, I thought Leon Hall from Michigan was the best corner in the draft, but maybe Revis fits better with what they plan. Their picks:

1 14 Revis, Darrelle CB 6-0 197 Pittsburgh

2 63

3 89

6 177

6 191

Did they boo Revis when he was picked? I missed it, and thats the best part about the draft: The Jets fans hating whoever they pick. Always good for a laugh, they are as picky as the Philly fans.

The Lions had David Harris fall into their laps twice. And both times they passed up on him. They went into the draft needing to address the defense, and they drafted a WR and QB.

I like Stanton, but he wont play this year. They need a guy who could start immediately this season, not a project that could take two-three years. Harris fit the bill perfectly, filling a huge need on our defense and could have been a great value pick. Kudos to you Millen ya bum.

I can't wait for the Jets/Pats games, they're going to be really fun now, as the Pats are already good and the Jets are loading up. They pretty much stole Harris there. Why the hell did he go so low? I heard that people were targeting him mid 1st round and he goes mid 2nd? Weird.
