Sage Francis - Human The Death Dance

I like it. It's still no Personal Journals, but it's a great, great record on its own merit.

Personal Journals used to be my favouite but after listening to HOPE AND Distrust I think that A Healthy Distrust is the better record, but I have been listening to Human the Death Dance a lot recently. Its a damn good album and people should listen to it, NOW.

I have been listening to The fall of Ideals by All That Remains as well, its decent considering I dont really listen to stuff like that.

SOLITARY DAY!!! FORGIVE ME FOR THE BLOOD YOU SHED!!!

I  Sundowner.

I  The Falcon slightly more. But still. :shifty:

I'll chalk in a few more albums (All I seem to do is listen to music...seriously);

"Nothing's Lost" by Styrofoam brilliantly put together electro album. Capped off with an amazing track with Ben Gibbard. But the whole thing is greatness.

"World Waits" by Jeremy Enigk, Enigk has a voice that's just so full of passion. Whilst this isn't new SDRE material (Which I doubt we'll ever see), it's still a top notch album. The last two tracks are especially amazing. I'm really upset that he had to cancel UK support for Brand New, however it did lead to a longer Brand New set. But Jeremy Enigk is like a god to me. :shifty:

"Make This Your Own" by The Cooper Temple Clause, in my oppinion one of the most underrated UK bands. A vast number of potential singles on here, but they're not going to get the media attentio nthey did with "Blind Pilots" and "Promises Promises". There's a vast number of ridiculously catchy tunes, and great melodies on here. Top class album. And there's also a fair share of 'weirdness' as well.

"Memory Man" by Aqualung, probably not as good as his first release/s, which I just clump together like the holy trinity, as there's 1 album which is made up of bits of the other two...so yeah...they're all together as one big album. However he's mixing with a more upbeat approach in lots of the songs, and it works really well. Keeps the whimsical, romantic, melencholy as well. So all is good in the world. "The Lake" and "Cindarella" are both stunning tracks.

I am in love with Arcade Fires Neon Bible and have been since I first heard it, it's truly amazing :)

I listened to Patrick Wolfs Magic Position and as far as fitst listens goes, it was enjoyable. Im not sure how long that will last though, as it could either become one of my favorites or begin to grate on me eventually.

The Decemberists - Crane Wife is my first listen of The Decemberists but I really like the album. The Island:Come And See/The Landlord's Daughter/You'll Not Feel The Drowning is just awesome, sounds like a pink Floyd type song at the beginning then changes itno somehting entirely different. Summersong is the other song that stands out. It's very easy to get into with a catchy tune, I'll have to donwload their other albums, this is definatley the most enjoyable album I've heard in the past 6 months.

Enter Shikari - Take to the Skies

Didn't think I'd get into them at all when I heard them first, but since Scuzz and other such channels constantly play their videos, I have become very fond of them. Their album is good stuff.

InMe - Overgrown Eden

Bought this in 2002 when I was more of a metalhead. Found it the other day and totally forgot how good it was. An absolute gem. I hadn't heard of them since then and listened to their 2nd album. Pity, it's shit.

Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero

A perfect mix of the old and the new. Love it.

Luke Pickett - For Every Petal Lost; Another Gained

A really sweet little mini-album. Dude sounds like a lady, but I like it.

Sage Francis - Road Tested

I didn't think a live Sage album would be any good. Wrong.

Has Been - William Shatner

FTW!

YOU'LL NEVER LIVE LIKE THE COMMON PEOPLE

YOU'LL NEVER DO WHAT THEY DO

AND DANCE, AND DRINK, AND SCREW

CAUSE THERE'S NOTHING ELSE TO DO. >_>

The best song on that album is where he just tells everybody: "YOU'RE GONNA DIE!"

I just got it in the mail today (this is the second time i've owned it now)... but Robin Black's Instant Classic is probably my second favorite Rock N' Roll CD of all time. 2nd to Appetite for Destruction, obviously... there just isn't enough good Rock N' Roll in the world.

With that said, once I get my hands on some Bullets N Octane, I'll probably have some more CDs to talk about.

Guest Ringu

I'm currently listening to Studio - Yearbook 1, which is like a mix of New Wave, Scandinavia and electro. So far, it's probably the record I listen to the most this year, even ahead of Neon Bible. Awesome stuff. Also listening to X- Los Angeles and X - Wild Thing which is some awesome LA punk. Beyond that, I'm stuck on NIN's Year Zero, BRMC's Baby 81, and Eazy E's It's On (Dr Dre) 187um Killa.
