I like some classics, but I love A Christmas Story and of course....

Whether or not it counts, the first two Home Alone films remain hilarious to this day. The others...let's just say the series took a massive, massive drop.

I love "It's A Wonderful Life" and "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation".

I also like Muppets Christmas Carol, Home Alone 1+2, Scrooged, and the Nightmare Before Christmas.

Don't care for much outside of those.

Definitely The Nightmare Before Christmas. Also, my brother has a tradition of watching The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. The original one, not the live-action one.

My favorite Christmas movies are A Christmas Story, It's A Wonderful Life, and Christmas Vacation. I also enjoy Scrooge (1970).

Also, I remember the first Christmas screening of Return Of The Jedi on TV - would've been little then. Every year for a good few years one of the Star Wars trilogy would be on and would be great viewing.

A Christmas Story, definately is one of the best Christmas movies out there. How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a special one for me, because my Uncle was one of the animators of that film. A Muppets Christmas is one of my favorites too.

The lack of Elf love around here upsets me greatly.

And, personally, I'm more into the Christmas television specials than the movies. The Grinch, Charlie Brown, Pac-Man, and the Flinstones' specials are awesome.

Watched Elf the other day, better than expected. Miracle on 34th(?) Street is always a pleaser and I don't know if anyone in England has seen this, but there's a film called The Magic Pudding thats always on at Christmas time. Its insane, but enjoyable.

Nightmare Before Christmas is great. Toy Story always seems to be on too, and the Muppets Christmas Carol. The Tim Allen Santa Claus trilogy are underrated too.

I remember going to see the original Santa Clause for my birthday back in 1994 when it came out (damn December birthdays...), and thought it was great. Muppet Christmas Carol is going for a fiver at my work, so I might pick that up as I've never seen it, looks like I'm missing out.

On a more recent note, has anyone seen that Fred Claus movie? The trailers make it look really awful.

Fred Clause was pretty poor. I endured it last night. I'm sick to death of these modern movies throwing (poor) CGI effects in willy nilly.

Jingle All The Way, Home Alone, The Santa Clause, Miracle on 34th Street, Elf, National Lampoons are all good shouts.

But the grandaddy of them all has to be Santa Claus: The Movie. This came out the year I was born, and although I haven't seen it in a good while now, I've seen it a ton of times. It's the ultimate Christmas film in my opinion.

Elf, Home Alone or Santa Clause. There's loadsa films on that give the Christmas Spirit but aren't Christmassy, like Mary Poppins.

Noel is pretty good (Susan Sarandon, Robin Williams, Paul Walker, Alan Arkin & Penelope Cruz). Had seen bits and pieces of it on The Angry Woman Network 1 (aka Lifetime), so bought the DVD. One of the better movies they've shown.

Nothing will ever beat Muppets Christmas Carol, best Scrooge rendition ever for me.
