That's not so good. He seemed to be doing pretty decent at AC Milan so it's very unfortunate. He should have had few good years left before this happened.

Sorta like Michael Owen in a way, I think his career really had peaked. I'd honestly forgotten he was still playing. It'd be sad to see him retire but he's really fallen from 1998 or so when he was the darling of the footballing world.

I don't think there's been much hunger (No pun intended ) in him to play the game for a long time. He's been out of shape and bloated for a few years now, but even in that condition he still managed to bang in enough goals at the World Cup to make him the tournements all-time record goalscorer. If he does come back he'll probably go back to the Brazilian league I can't see him playing in Europe again.
