Saw this on another forum, thought it might be worth posting here.

In the history of the Billboard 200, only 7 artists have had 3 consecutive studio albums debut at #1. Who are they?

Don't google this, either, or it'll be pretty obvious as some of them are bands you wouldn't think of right away.

Elvis and The Beatles have to be 2 of them.

EDIT - And my cousin tells me he is sure Garth Brooks is another name.

I'd be willing to bet Elvis and the Beatles are wrong. Too early.

Not sure about Garth.

Off the top of my head, I know Metallica's on the list. And I'm thinking Pearl Jam too. And maybe...this is gonna sound weird and it's probably wrong but Disturbed?

I'm not an expert on the US Chart system, but I believe I've heard something like this mentioned before. Can't remember all seven, but I'm almost certain Van Halen, U2 and the Dave Matthews Band are 3 of them.

Michael Jackson?

Something about Pearl Jam getting the accolade is familiar.

Just checked, Pearl Jam's "Vs.", "Vitalogy" and "No Code" did it.

Maybe someone like Jay-Z? And maybe Alice In Chains, though not if their EP doesn't count. I know it was the last EP to reach number one in whatever chart it was until the Linkin Park/Jay-Z one.

Didn't DMX do it? His first 4 or 5 albums debuted at #1 I think.

Apparently not.

Funny, Billboard.com seems to have made a mistake than...

The results were compelling enough to make DMX the first artist ever to have his first four albums enter the charts at number one.

^taken from DMX's Billboard profile.
